Great service as usual; I did notice that their facility is losing the top-notch appearance that use to have it in the past; this could be the result of many reasons (COVID-19, IDA, etc) but looking forward to seeing Baker Buick GMC goes back to their pristine appearance.On a side note, if Mask is not required anymore they should remove all signs or it is required inside their facilities they should start with their personal using it.

This dealership was so easy to deal with. We felt welcomed and comfortable from the day we walked in. Todd P. Was an excellent salesman and did a great job for us. Highly recommend the dealership and definitely look up Todd when you get there. All around great experience.Ok so I had to come edit my review after my first experience with the service department. So I noticed a couple days after driving my new truck that the steering wheel wasn’t centered. I went to the website and tried to make an appointment. The next available appointment was an entire month out. So I scheduled it. My appointment was for 1 pm. I handed my keys over to the service department at 12:40. At 3 pm the associate came to me and told me that they just started working on my vehicle!!! I was the only service customer waiting in the waiting room too. Another two hours later and they finally were done with my truck. I sat in the waiting room for 4 hours. When I went to leave they tried to charge me for an alignment after it was off from the factory. I had to get the manager involved to plead my case. I then leave and get on the road and head for home and low and behold the steering wheel is still off centered. The service department alone makes me not want to deal with this dealership again.

I went here to make my first car purchase. I live in New Orleans and drove there after work, getting there about an hour before closing time.I had no idea buying a used car could be such a pleasant experience. People talk about how stressful the process is, but they made it not the case! They stayed late to explain the financing process and forms to me in detail, and helped me trade in my old (frankly bad) car to help me out since it was my first time doing something like this.When they found out I had forgotten my key and deed to my old car, they actually drove out to New Orleans later that week to pick them up from me, all on their own time.They just mailed my license plate to me so I wouldn’t have to make the drive again. I can’t recommend this place enough!

Well...since you asked it was NOT very good experience. I went a week ago for a standard oil change on my Denali HD and after the service they told me there was a small leak on what had looked like a transmission line. They couldnt see about that day(which was completely understandable) so she said they would make me an appointment. So they made me an appointment for 7 days later and told me to be there at 7:30 am so they could figure out the leak and repair it(I said great see you then). I arrived that morning for my appointment I dropped my truck off at 7:45 am and was anticipating the call to see what was wrong with my vehicle. 8 HOURS PASSED with no word so I decided to call them. When I spoke to the service department they told me that my truck has not even been looked at yet???? I was given an appointment and waited 7 days to come in and after 8 hours in service it hasnt been seen yet. I could not believe that.... they should have made an appointment to see my truck when I brought it in that is what an appointment is I thought.... apparently not!! So they ended adding dye to my oil because they did not know where the leak was coming from and I will need to bring my truck back AGAIN to see if they can find the leak. My only issue with this is when you make an appointment stick to that I need my truck for work and I worked my schedule around this appointment and it was a total waste of my time.
Hands down the best experience my wife and I have ever had buying a vehicle mainly due to the outstanding, friendly, welcoming, no pressure, professionalism provided to us by sales rep Nikki Pierce. As long as she is working there, we will be return customers.
I went for my first free oil change for my 2020 GMC Sierra AT4. I asked to please rotate my tires after the oil change. Gave them the keys at 10am while I sat in the waiting area with only two other customers waiting with me. I didnt get my truck back till 12:45pm. When I did get my truck back they told me that they could not rotate my tires because i have aftermarket wheels. I purchased a $850 wheel and tire coverage package (Specifically asked if it would cover aftermarket wheels and tires because I knew I wasnt keeping the factory wheels and he said yes) when I bought the truck that GMC sold me to cover any damage to wheels or tires. I told the service department about the wheel and tire coverage and they said no it doesnt cover aftermarket wheels. If this is the case I want a full refund for the wheel and tire package I purchased. Terrible service and I will not be back to Barker GMC to service my truck or purchase another one.

Drove three hours last night to look at a truck. When arriving to the used lot my sales man had already left and had to use another salesman. After test driving the truck I told them I wanted the truck and that I will leave a deposit or money down till my bank opens Monday. They preceded to tell me they cant take money down or hold the truck. Pretty much i wasted 6 hrs to do business with these people. I called the sales manger trying to explain to him what’s going on which he didn’t care. They only care about themselves not there customers. After telling the sales manager that he hangs the phone up. BAD BUSINESS.

When my son andI originally walked into the dealership, we stood in the lobby for approximately 20 minutes. They had 3 salespeople sitting at their desks and the receptionist never looked up. While waiting a female walks into the dealership and is greeted immediately. At that point my son and I left without being helped. We only returned because my son was intrested in one of your vehicles. You almost lost a customer.
I recently bought a 2020 Buick Encore with Barker Buick. This was my first new car purchase that I was doing on my own. It was a daunting prospect, but Todd and Jerry were so helpful and so patient with me througout the entire process. Both were very friendly and walked me through every step of the process. Just poor service overall. Even if you say you only want an oil change they still bring dirty air filters to you in the lobby in front of everyone to try and shame you into allowing them to change it. This is very rude. You could at least call the customer to the window. They also wont vacuum your car after the oil change anymore. Will not be returning.
Made a service appointment for 8am for an oil change and tire rotation. Got a phone call confirming the appointment the day before. Showed up for the appointment and was told it would be 3 hrs before they get to my vehicle. Called the service manager Randy Talbot and he hung up the phone on me. Will never go there again for anything.
I traveled 300 miles from north Louisiana to Houma to purchase my new GMC truck because of their willingness to work with me and their good reviews. They had the diesel truck that I wanted and the trip was well worth it. They took great care of me and care about their customers. I am happy that I bought from them. I highly recommend them.

My experience at barker, was just as i hoped it would be, truthful,straight up,smooth, and quick, and when i say quick, i mean i was approved and was given different choices to choose from. My salesmen was a fella name Kendall Martinez. Kendall is a honest salesmen, he didnt try to add things and pait me in to get add ons like some tryed in my past. 200% have my business here on out, and the finance guy was awsome as well.

Since they were done with replacement work at 9 a.m. and I needed my bumper refitted due to lower right side than left they could have brought to body shop to have 4 bolts loosened and bumper leveled out before I picked up at 5. No I have to be without my truck another day to make separate appointment with body shop

Gay quickly checked my vehicle in for service and advised it would require a couple of days, then Shantel provided the necessary paperwork for a loaner and they had me out and on my way inside of an hour. Once my vehicle was ready, I was able to return the loaner vehicle and had mine back within 15 minutes. This dealership obviously understands that convenience and time is of utmost value to their customers and they are dedicated and focused on customer satisfaction.

Exceeds expectations sales team and on after purchase issues and service!I bought a used Acadia frombarker about 3 months ago with a limited power train warranty. I noticed this week the taillight had about a half inch of water in it. The dealer had no contractual obligation to help me with this issue, and covered the $590 bill 100%. The light is a non serviceable LED and needed replacement. I was beyond impressed, in and out in 90 minutes.I am 100% satisfied with my purchase. Lemar was a very low key salesman, zero pushing and very friendly. Lemar’s manager Jerry also was not pushy at all, he was kind and professional.

I brought my Enclave in the night before service was scheduled. It was ready at 9am the next morning! Wow! Great service!What do I like about Barker? My seat adjustment is always where I left it. The Sirius is where I set it. The mirrors havent been moved.They even put seat and floor covers so I dont have to worry about grease or dirt.And my Service Advisor is top notch!! I had shopped several dealerships from New Orleans, across the lake, Hammond and Baton Rouge and they were all helpful. However, Barker went way beyond that in service. My sale person was Samantha Cleveland, who did an outstanding job, help me get a price that was right for me, and took time & care to explain how the vehicle operated. But more than that was the service after the sale when I needed to have a few things done, she took care of everything and kept me informed the whole way!. Terry our sales person was very knowledgeable and very informative. He took his time and reviewed all features with us. He also made sure all of our questions were answered. We had been to many dealerships and he was unlike any salesman we had interacted with, not pushy, just answered our questions and worked with us till deal was made.
