Hello Everyone, I know everyone might not have experienced what I have. I went ahead and bought a used car from this place. Well knowing cars are as is, I decided to get the extended warranty to be on the safe side. The car is a 2015 Hyundai Sonata. Well the car has a 100,000 miles on it which usually means it still has a good bit of life if we’ll maintained. Well for the first week the abs light came on along with the traction control light. And been on ever since. And I decided to just take the loss on that and have it fixed by a mechanic. But later on now three weeks later the car has severe blow by and engine is blown. The car was topped with oil and checked everyday. Now I’m stuck with a note and a car a dealership sold me without inspecting it through out and telling me about these problems.

This company is a complete ripoff. Tried charging me almost $400 in diagnostic fees because their mechanic couldnt figure out the problem. Almost charged a restocking fee for something they never told me about. The problem they wanted to charge me almost $400 in diagnostic fees for I figured out myself, I just dont have the skills to fix it.After this experience and their service manager never calling me back I will never buy another Nissan vehicle again, not used or new. Nissan can thank the rip-off tactics and poor customer service of Geri Lynn Nissan. Since some issues I need fixed are a dealership fix, Ill just take my vehicle to another Nissan dealership.Since the issue over a month ago, I have never received a callback from their service manager. I did get a reply on the CarFax survey I filled out. They want me to call them. Nope! If they cant take 5 minutes to look my information up and call me then thats on them. Absolutely pathetic!
Was able to get an appointment next day. Online is fast and easy. Like the text reminders. All employees are so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable with all questions asked. Service is beyond satisfactory compared to other dealerships I have dwelt with. Complimentary coffee and drinks is great while waiting for service. Great job over all!
From their individual website, I saw this deal. I went in to buy a truck and the sales person told me it would be almost $500 a month. I showed on their computer the same deal. The salesperson went to the back and showed someone. They returned and said they could not honor the deal. I asked what happened and they seemed confused and began stuttering. Ultimately, I was told they will not lease any trucks for that price. I was very displeased with how they handled it.
The cost for my repair was well above what I would have paid from a local mechanic shop.The repair called for a bushing that costs $14.00 but had to buy the an entire shift cable for $68.00, so they could rob the bushing from it. Then to top it off the charge was for two hours of labor ! Total cost to me $380.00 ! Needless to say I will bring my vehicle elsewhere. UPDATE!!! The service manager Mark, made things right ! He adjusted my repair bill and Im very grateful.He showed me that he values me as a customer and wants to continue to keep me as a customer.Thanks again Mark!
Purchased a vehicle with them because my wife wanted a specific vehicle but they were the highest priced of all Nissan dealers in the area. Do you research on truecar.com or something similar first as you are guaranteed a better price.Edit… My initial review failed to acknowledge the great job the salesman did to earn my business and did not reflect the overall great attitude of most of the staff. They did reach out and offer to assist in any way possible which should be considered when reading the above original comment.Edit… After seeing this review the dealers management reached out and asked that I return the vehicle and unwind the contract. With no consideration for the cost in time and effort and no consideration for the “customer” they value. I was advised the Geri decided it would be better to unwind the sale. I will reiterate that the sales and service staff were wonderful but the owner and management staff are not concerned with customer satisfaction.
The customer service was amazing, Ms Crystal did everything to meet both my husband and my request. The staff even worked around our work schedules. We all know we are in the middle of a pandemic, Geri Lynn Nissan makes you feel safe. They are doing everything to make sure everyone is safe and that their health comes first above all else. Crystal took time to explain everything about my purchase and their excitement about someone purchasing a vehicle for themselves or for their family is contagious. Their excitement for their customers is genuine it’s truly a place where you feel welcomed. It’s like walking into an old friends home even when you may have been gone a few years. I can not even count how many times I was asked if I needed anything by staff ( and no it was not that whole sales person hovering to purchase something) they are truly humble and caring.I would recommend them for anyone purchasing a vehicle, and especially a first time buyer. They will walk someone through the experience and definitely guide them for what’s best for that person.
I want to start of by saying mrs.Geri Lynn is one of the nicest People you can meet. Her son is the best which was my sales person/also the person that made stuff got taken care of and he’s not even a manager. My experience there wasn’t the best at first but the end result they made sure I left out of there smiling. I brought many cars before and never met the owner or have the owner number. I would suggest everyone to go there for your next vehicle. Even though I went there for service by the time I left I knew everyone that worked there. They will make sure they get to the problem and not going to let you leave without you being happy. I was told by a service mgr i would have 2 free oil change and tire rotations due to lack of communication from previous service. But now Im told he only put 1 in notes. My car is shaking now wasnt doing that before- nor wasnt any washer fluid put in.

Let me preface this with, there are some great people at this dealership, but it has some disturbing issues and employees too.My partner and I alternate bringing cars for service appointments. My experience was always straight forward, relatively quick, and no real issues. My wife on the other hand, always a run around, told she needed repairs only to find out we didnt, or mis-diagnosis issues, that if we wanted specific information would cost a $99 diagnosis. My wife brought her car in for an oil change and is told she needs over $3k in repairs, I bring it to another mechanic and they cant find that problem, or its something else and far less costly.When I called Geri Lynn to bring this to her attention, instantly she gets aggressively defensive saying things like, We dont do that!, or Thats not how it works here! Not once was there any semblance of an apology that we gave that impression, or Im sorry if a mistake was made.It really gives the impression that she is either aware and endorses it, or is completely out of touch and unaware of whats happening under her businesses roof.I can appreciate that dealership repairs with certified parts and employees cost more, but I also know they will hire mechanics with almost no experience. I also know some of her mechanics dont even bother to do the multi point inspection during an oil change and just fudge the numbers they write on the inspection sheet.My wife should never be treated differently than me in that situation, and no business owner should argue that a customer was wrong in a situation like above.Also, when I called for a quote after my wife was told a CV Joint boot was torn, but they couldnt tell her which side, they told me it would be over 3 Grand (just shy of $3,600), and they could get it in that afternoon to start the repair. When I challenged them not knowing which side they told me a diag would be $99/side and that the mechanic likely saw grease dripping from it.Took it to a mechanic that does great work, that has honored their work in the past, and its the struts, something he was able to tell after a 1 min test drive and with a flashlight. Looking at around $700. Thats a huge discrepancy!Long story short, never again will I take any vehicle to Geri Lynn Nissan in Houma, LA.

Brought my Rogue in for what I thought was a headlights issue because my bright lights would not come on when I tried. The service department man, sorry didn’t get his name, said he thought it was a function of the automated headlights. His research showed that the bright lights cannot be turned on manually while the headlights are at the auto setting! In the manual lights setting, the bright lights would indeed come on.Since I had an appointment and no problems, he let me get my warranty oil change and tire rotation instead.

I made an appointment for an oil change and tire rotation. I arrived about 10 minutes early and signed in. Typically, this service takes less than an hour so I decided to wait for my vehicle. After an hour of waiting and seeing other people who arrived after me already being checked out, I asked how much longer it would be. The service tech went in the shop and showed me that my car was on the lift. It took them an hour to put my car up on the lift. He came inside to tell me that It shouldnt be too much longer. Hes finishing up. I then began watching through the window as they started rotating my tires, then emptied the oil, then lowered my car, then filled it with oil, then attempted to install windshield wipers. I waited for 2 hours for my car to have a service that takes less than 45 minutes to complete. I am incredibly disappointed.

Bought a used truck (2014 Nissan Frontier). Unknown to me, the tail lamp was melted and was fixed by previous owner with cardboard painted silver and duck tape. Had issue with tail lamps and it was short in the license plate lamps. I wont by anything used from this dealership ever again.
This was our 5th purchase over years from Geri Lynn Nissan. We enjoy the friendly atmosphere and no hype shopping, our salesmen Kevin was wonderful as well as the Sales Manager Justin. We didnt come across anyone that did not ask how we were doing or if we needed anything. Lastly We are enjoying our new Titan truck!

Had a minor problem with a flap near front underneath that needed to be re-screwed to avoid dragging and causing extra damage and destruction. It was quickly reattached with a reasonable charge for the service. I was most impressed. Service Department was smaller than expected but service was excellent. The only reason I cannot promise to return is that you could not honor certain contract service agreements.
The best car buying experience Ive ever had. Was dreading car shopping and dealing with sales people but Mr. Kevin Fontenot, Mr. Norbert Larousse and Mr. Justin Lejeune made the experience amazing. Mr. Kevin spent most of two days helping us and we never felt pressured or rushed or like we were inconveniencing him no matter what car we wanted to look at or the questions we had. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and so nice. Everyone had a ready smile and greeting as we walked around and just the general feeling of the whole place was so welcoming to me. It was great to feel like we were people and that we mattered instead of just a walking wallet. The truck with 310K miles, when i went to get in the truck the handle broke off.NEVER go here. RUN. dont waste your time or money

Told 2 persons three times too check front brake system first ... then when problem is found then we will talk front end alignment ... they did four wheel alignment, then they call me to say they found (both) front rotors needed to be change, plus a recall on something else ... I said sense the pads and rotors would cost that much just do thoses ... then they tell me they did the four wheel alignment already ... i told him they is not what we discussed many times will the two others ... he said I will check will your adviser and your check in guy ... he found that they wrote down all the stuff we discuss when making appointment and at drop off ...Nissan did not charge me for the four wheel alignment ... but if fact they charged me less for the complete front end brake job ... I thanked them for that but was not expecting it ... still i know they have a lot of service to do, but someone could have listen or read first just maybe it would have come out different

I went to premier Nissan thinking I would get a better deal there. They were starting my vehicle price at 23,000 I called Geri Lynn and they had the same vehicle red tag priced for 18,995! Called them to verify and spoke to randy and we were on our way back home to Houma! Walked in got treated like family from the start! Justin came sit with Randy and I and my Mom. I recently purchased a 2020 Sentra and a week or 2 later a rattling noise started. I brought it in for servicing along with my trunk getting caught to the seal when I open it. They had my car for a week and told me they fixed the noise and my trunk. Picked up my car only to hear the noise the day after and my trunk still not fixed. I don’t know what happened but they didn’t fix my car.
Service dept. was great in keeping me informed on what was going on with my vehicle. Nice employee working in the service dept.

Sales persons favorite pitch when we were looking at used cars .... to be honest with you, i dont think the companys gunna put anymore money in to this! Sales person caught in a lie .... it only cost $30 to get the tire sensors fix, nissan doesnt have compatible equiptment with ford, just drive over to ford and you can get it fixed there (after $400+ quote from ford later).... oh our mechanic fixed the sensors. Mechanics excuse for not fixing whats wrong, the sound you here from the tires is normal, theres nothing wrong with it and the engine is fine too. Sales manager observation oh ill get them to fix the breaks and the fan belt. Ill also tell them to look into the engine mounts. Service managers excuse for not having met my needs, I didnt say that (meaning it was his subodinate mechanic that said it)... I didnt work on ur car... Gerilyns response/reaction: ur fiance is not allowed in here anymore... go ahead and talk to ur lawyer.... u can come pick up ur car or we will have it towed.Back story to this, we were looking for a first car for my little brother whos starting college. He saved up all he could. He paid $6000+ (he doesnt ask or want to buy anything and he maybe has maybe 2 weeks worth of wardroom that fit him properly if he hadnt outgrown them and my mom put in some money buy selling fruits and vegetables on the curbside on the weekends) for a car that we kept telling nissan to fix.... i feel bad for my brother....his highschool days consist of only school, come home and study/do homework, never asks to go out with friends, never asks for presents, clothes, and only asked for one other pair of shoe because the current one was broken and hurting his feet... this college kids whos going to college on scholarship/grants, from a low income household, who sacrifice to live in the other side of the world away from his mom, family, friends, so that he could better his career and fulfill his ambition of becoming a public servant as a pharmacist.

Kristin was absolutely AMAZING, and such a gem to work with. This is the first vehicle I’ve ever bought, and she made the process so amazing and pleasurable; especially after I had been to another dealership and had an awful experience. Crystal (my service advisor) is awesome. She is very helpful and knowledgeable and knows I only allow the master technician Floyd work on my vehicle. The service department is also a pleasant experience.
My service at Geri Lynn Nissan is always superior. The CS reps are very pleasant and have excellent customer service. Crystal and Gerald always greet me with a smile and provide with great feedback. The staff in the check-out area are just as helpful as well.

Where to begin? Aaron was so friendly, helpful, and informative. He helped us to get the car that we had hoped for. We drove more than an hour away not really expecting to make our purchase today. The cars were very well kept interior and exterior. Geri Lynn was genuine and personal which made us feel that much more happy with our choice. By the time we left, we felt like family... and family takes care of family. We WILL be making all of future vehicle purchases with this dealership.
