I spoke with a sales person and agreed upon a price for a 2014 ram 3500. It was a 6hr one way trip to purchase this vehicle. I paid a $500 deposit and talked to the sales person before I started the trip. Im from Birmingham, AL so when I get 30 minutes 4 hrs into this trip the sales manager (Rudy) decided to sell the truck to another customer because he was willing to pay more money (more commission for Rudy). So if you from out of town be warned that money is the name of the game with this bunch. Thats gas money and time I cant get back because of greed.

There was no “sales pressure” and they showed interest in helping me make sure that I had the vehicle for me. Would highly recommend and will definitely buy from again!

I went to Southland Dodge with interest of trading in a used truck I had bought from them six months prior on a new truck at a better interest rate. The finance manager inspected my truck which only had fifteen hundred miles put on it since I bought it from Southland and is in excellent, almost as new condition. The manager made me an offer of twenty five thousand dollars on trade for my truck which is five thousand dollars less than its trade in value and nine thousand less than its resale value. I understand that the dealership needs to turn a profit but that is ridiculous. I tried to give them repeat business only to leave feeling frustrated and cheated. Dodge is my preferred brand of trucks but Southland Dodge will never get my business again....EVER!

Friendly interaction and reasonably quick service. Social distancing was achieved by a small plexiglass but no mask. The service advisor went to my car and placed the tag without gloves or mask. When I got the car they have forgotten to reset the Oil Life indicator which I realized 2 days later. I had to disinfect the car before I left the parking to get in since there was no effort to ease my mind about the steps they are taking to avoid contamination. Im glad I asked for synthetic oil and hope I dont have to go in the next 6 months.UPDATE TO THE OWNERThanks for your reply. I wish I had time to contact your dealer to chat. Nevertheless, if you want to deal with this issue you can tell every body what steps are you taking to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 to your clients.
Waste of time!!!Apparently, if you hadnt purchased your Jeep from them, you get the runaround for service. I couldnt get me ANY info about scheduling a service, availability or ANYTHING. Again - waste of time! Definitely calling elsewhere! I would rate 1 Star but at least they were polite in the runaround, right?! Ugh!

I bought my car in for a oil change and alignment, I heard a sound bought it back. I was told by the service man it was a coincident that I heard a sound. I refused to take it because that sounded like bullish.. so I got someone else. An appointment was made and they were supposedly had fix it. I started hearing the sound again bought it back to find out the rack and pinion needed replacing but it was on back order. Told me to come get the broke car and give them the rental back. They are going to call me when it comes in. The car is less than 2 years old. Some great customer service. Allowing the customer to be harmed if it breaks completely while driving.

Well that day finally came and working with Ben, he had us in and out in less than an hour. (Took me longer to make a cup of coffee than it did for Ben to bring some VERY good numbers.)Ben has never been pushy and never tried to force us to “buy what we have now”. Ben has always been very professional and respectful and accommodating. I have heard that other sales people work there but if you go, just remember BB for Ben Badon.

I was in the market for a used vehicle and decided to have a look around this lot. I was driving slowly just glancing around when suddenly a salesperson came running out the door. He frantically tried to flag me down to stop to talk. It’s pathetic that a salesperson could be that desperate to make a sale. I just kept on driving and went to another dealership. That quick this place lost my business. No pressure no hype, my a$$.

I brought my Jeep Grand Cherokee in for a screw in my tire. They took my truck immediately and kept me informed. Thank God the screw didn’t puncture my tire. It didn’t take long at all. Everyone was so nice and helpful.

I purchased a 2020 Dodge Ram crew cab in May of this year Ive had to bring the truck in on 6 different occasions. When I call to speak to someone Ive gotten the run around theyve changed several items under the hood of this truck from the wire hornets to pcm system and this truck still has problems. They came to get it again on last week and Ive been trying to contact Chrysler and the dealership for an update on what theyre doing with this truck which by the way is a LEAMON and not having any luck Ive made two payments and another one is due on the 1st Im paying notes on something I cant even use. Its been 3 months and I havent driven it a full month, this isnt good customer service.
I did my research and found the best deal near me! I drove 3 hours to get our used town and country, but it was worth it! Furnell was nothing but helpful. He was to the point on our initial conversation, he got everything ready for us before our arrival, and his coworker took great care of us when we got there. There was one small problem with the DVD player but they went above and beyond to get it taken care of. They are paying for it to be repaired closer to home, now that is having the customer in mind! I would definitely consider buying here again in the future. My best car buying experience I ever had! I wouldnt let the few bad reviews I saw on here stop you from buying. My experience was totally different! I for once feel very confident in my purchase.

Needed a new car for our son, who was going to college out of our area, and after speaking with Mr Kenneth, we made an appointment to go and look at and test drive a few cars. Everything was ready for us when we got there and within 30 minutes we knew which car we were going to purchase. Miss Diane talked with us and went over the different financing options and really helped to get that monthly payment as low as possible. I was shocked when we were able to get the note below what was in our budget. They treated my family and especially our son, like family. They made it such a big deal for our son, who was so excited. Donald Linam was very professional and worked hard for me to get my new truck. I traded in my 2006 Dodge Ram 1500(that I purchased from Southland Dodge 13 years ago) and got a very fair deal. I love my new 2019 Ram 1500!!!! I get compliments every day. I Would recommend anyone to go see Donald as I know he won’t steer you wrong!
READ BEFORE YOU PURCHASE!!!! I had the worst experience at this dealership. I test drove a used 5 year truck with 50k miles. I was told the truck had another 50k warranty on the power train. I ask the salesman 3 times and was confused b/c i thought it should be 5 years or 100k miles. I left, called back the next day and wanted to purchase the truck. I told the rep i was out of town and could not return until another 6 days. I was told the sales manager would not hold the truck. I gave the rep my credit card # and told him to take a 1000.00 non-refundable deposit. I received another call telling me the sales manager still would not hold the truck. He told me if I financed the truck through the dealership they would gladly hold it. At this point, being out of town, it was my only choice. The next 3 days passed and i asked my rep 3 times for the interest rate. He finally gave me a number and I was impressed with the low rate. He also gave me monthly payment amount. When I showed up to finalize the deal, the financial guy gave me the information. The rate was 3 points higher and the monthly payment was 100.00 higher than the amount given to me by the rep. The sales manager was called into the office and I explained the situation. He laughed at me and told me we all had choices and it was my choice to buy the truck or not. He said he had 5 people lined up to purchase it. At this point i couldnt believe what i was hearing. Then i was told the warranty only had 3 weeks left. He said his rep ( same one that gave the false information on the loan) was straight off the wash rack and he didnt understand the warranty. He told me this while laughing and smiling at me. Do not trust these people. I also emailed the owner before i wrote this review, hoping for a resolution, but he never replied.

My car was tested on Saturday and they made an appt. for me on Monday morning. My son went and brought it and when he arrived he was told they had to go get the part in Thibodaux before it could be fixed. Why would an appt. be made when they don’t even have the part yet. He then had to wait for them to go get the part and wait for it to be fixed. This is not good business.

Transmission service light comes on in my car, I’m from out of town and it’s Saturday afternoon. The transmission tech was not in on Saturday but the young lady working the service department had me come over for diagnostic test. Scheduled me for first thing on Monday morning. Issue resolved within 2 hours. Not a good situation considering I had a long drive ahead and they took to easing my concerns to get me in and out on a warranty repair. The service team did a great job keeping me informed of the status/progress and I appreciate their help.

Well, I drove a car last week here at Southland. The sales person was great and showed me what I wanted to see, yet i was only given rebate from the factory and no dealer discount. I was told that he would find the model that I was looking for and get a call back with a better price and I have yet to get a call. This is my second negative visit to a Jeep dealership sooo I may not be back at this point.

I cant understand some of the other reviews. I cant say anything g about the service department a I didnt use it but I found the sales people (and some mentioned here) to be very helpful and courteous. I will definitely think about Southland the next time I decide to buy a new vehicle.

After reading all the negative reviews almost took my business elsewhere but decided to give them a shot. Purchased a 2500 Ram used from another dealership but it originally came from Southland Dodge. They had no problems servicing it under emission warranty on two different occassions. Purchased a new Grand Caravan for my wife while waiting for my truck on one visit. When the van gave her trouble a couple years later they took us in the next day to get it serviced under warranty, and gave her a van to drive while repairs are being completed. We have decided to trade to a different vehicle for her once repairs are complete and will be doing business with them again.

Their service department SUCKS! Especially that ***hole Duane who really shouldnt be allowed to deal with the public since he has the personality of a rock. After bringing my car home I HAD TO FINISH PUTTING IT BACK TOGETHER!On the way home it seemed kinda sluggish on acceleration (gentle acceleration) and was burning more gas than usual. Got home and popped the hood to find that they didnt hook up the intake back to the throttle body, so my car was sucking in hot and unfiltered air. Ill never go to that dealership again.They offered no apology. Service Dept- Can you just pop it in yourself? Me-No I cant, tried, but shouldnt even have to And I did try to just pop it in, anyways- Service Dept - if you can make it here before 6 well take care of it if not itll have to wait til Monday So I tried but it was impossible to make it there for 6. Its 40 minutes away with no traffic, I had 5 oclock traffic to deal with, and I got stuck at a Draw Bridge.I called them to see if they could give me a little more time and they said cant keep anyone here past 6, it wont hurt anything to drive it around like that til Monday I said its running sluggish and burning gas, plus I go back to work Sunday, I have to have my car and Ill be gone til the 25th Service Dept - I dont know what to tell you, thats all I can doYou would think considering they screwed up they would do all they could to make it right, but no, they really didnt give a ****. I emailed the dealership, Dodge, and the salesman that was trying to get me to trade it in for a newer model, just so hed know why hed never get my business.
I was in and out in 30 minutes for an oil change. I like the kid area. My 2 year old was able to play while we waited.
I was hesitant to go there for service after reading some of these reviews, especially due to the fact that I didnt purchase my Durango there. I looked there and wanted vehicle right away. They didnt have the color i was looking for in lot. I decided to go there regardless of reviews. I didnt have one ounce of problems with these guys. They were very cordial and fast. I dropped my vehicle on Thursday evening and i received a call Friday late that it was ready. i will definitely not hesitate going back if service is needed.
Miranda and other staff was great with the buying process. Service department on the other hand, not too great. Went in with radio problems (that have been happening since I bought the jeep), was told just to come back in a month or so to check for update. Went back just now, and they had no clue what I was talking about. Set an appt for it to get looked at. Came back 5 mins later to ask a question about an Anti theft lock code that popped up on my screen, asked where I could find this, they all looked at me like I had 3 heads and had no clue what that was. Not very knowledgable about their products.

I received excellent service through the Express Lane. A future appointment was made to address other issues I was experiencing with my vehicle at that time, as well.
We put my car in shop for warranty work and to install a navigation radio. We went out of state for a week and upon returning we went to pick up the car, only to be told the car wasn’t going to be ready for a few days. A simple phone call would have saved me a trip over there and a big headache! Instead, my hubby was very upset and I had to take a loaner for 3 days. It was a huge inconvenience to have to deal with this problem.
Im reserving judgment until I actually take my vehicle in for service - but I was unable to make an appointment without providing the VIN. I suggested that they retrieve the VIN when I bring it in (I dont have it with me at work) - but that was not acceptable. This has to be one of the stupidest rules I have ever heard of, and it makes me nervous when considering all of the negative comments posted here. Makes you wonder who is running the place, and if the owner is aware?

Im a chevy man all the way 3yrs ago I bought a dodge ram pickup from Trapp Chevrolet I might add and I hated that truck ever since I just recently traded that truck in at Trapp Chevrolet and bought me and the wife a 2017 chevy trax never again will I stray away from a chevy.
Their body shop techs are the sorriest group of ppl they rigged up a lot on my van after an accident van eats front tires no matter what they do trans leaking too van only has 46,000 miles on it so much for take it to the dealer for the best service going buy a Chevy next time
Experience is OK I brought my truck in for service 2016 ram 1500 hemi chapter in transmission and hiring hard when putting in gear service told me that it would be all day I am 290 miles from home and they cant loan me a vehicle the truck is brand new literily the anger I got was we can contact enterprise rent a car what the. is a loaner for was suppose to go to work after but guess thats out all other dodge dealers give a loaner I happen to go to the only one that wont honor warranty set by the dealer that I purchased the truck from

I walked into Southland Dodge on May 26, greeted by Carol, the salesman, very patient and helpful. However, the finance lady was ignorant, rude and dishonest. She was unhelpful, unable to answer questions, she couldnt explain figures because they were deceitful. I will not recommend, nor return to Southland Dodge. My sister had one of the worst experience of her life there. The manager cussed at her!This is her story:I rarely, if ever, post anything negative on here, but tonight I feel compelled to share the awful experience I had today with Southland Dodge in Houma. This past weekend my van was towed to them. They did a diagnostic workup and informed me on Monday that it would cost 2000 to fix all the problems. Realizing my car was on its last leg, I decided it was time to trade it in. I informed Dodge that I would be picking my vehicle up and trading it in. At about 5 pm on Tuesday, I went to the dealership to pick up my van from service and pay the diagnostic fee. When I went to pay, their credit card machine was not working. After waiting about 10 minutes or so for them to unsuccessfully get it back on line, I told them that I absolutely could not wait any longer, as I had an appointment at another dealership in Metairie to trade my van in and purchase a new car. I asked them to please send me a bill, and left with my van. This morning at about 9 oclock I was informed that the police were looking for me about a matter concerning Southland Dodge. A police officer called me and told me that I needed to come to the Dodge dealership right away. The owner had made the decision to call the police department and report me for not paying my bill...The bill I tried to pay, but could not because their credit card machine was not working. I was shocked. I had to find someone to watch my students, leave school, and drive over there immediately. After having the humiliating experience of being questioned by the police officer outside of the dealership, I went in and paid the much sought after $113 diagnostic bill. Understandably, I asked to speak to the manager and owner to try to gain some insight as to why they would choose this unwarranted manner of collection in order to settle my bill. The owner felt completely justified in his actions. He was fully aware that the machine was not working when I tried to pay, but said he called the police because I should have come and paid the next day. I explained that I was unable to go there the next day, but was absolutely planning on settling my bill. I asked why he would not give me time to go there and pay before making such a rash decision. He said, with a very stoic look on his face, I did give you time. I gave you 1 day. I explained to him the unnecessary anguish and embarrassment he had caused me by treating me like I was some sort of criminal, but he was not concerned. I informed him that I would be letting fellow friends and family know about the lack of common courtesy and decency he had extended to me, and he became very angry at this revelation. He proceeded to point his finger at me and then told me to get the **@#*& off his lot and never come back! I am really appalled at the way I was treated, and I really hope no one else ever has to deal with being treated so horribly by this establishment ever again.
This is the worst Dodge dealership I have ever dealt with. We moved down from KY and have always had Dodge do all of the repairs. We had our Dodge Nitro towed to them from across town because all of our transmission fluid leaked out on our driveway. When Dodge ran the diagnostic test they said the transmission was burnt up and it would cost $3134 to fix it. My husband explained to them several times that it couldn’t of been burnt up. They hung up on him several times. We have never had such bad customer service in all of our life. Needless to say we had the Nitro towed across town once again to a transmission shop. They took a look at it and it ended up just needing a hose. It ended up costing $110. That’s it. The other thing was Dodge dealership check the fluids at the 3000 mike checkup and never said the dipstick was broken on the transmission. Needless to say we will never go back to this company again here in a Houma. The person we dealt with was named Audi

I have had a great time dealing with Derek. Although I have had to ve difficult to deal with because of my situation Derek has worked hard to make it Happen 2xs I bought a 2500 ram Laramie and a trailhawk Cherokee and now he is trying to fix me one more time. I will not get into the whole story, but know this on the last one I doubted him being able to pull off what he did and is now the reason why a special time in my life is possible. Derek is the man.
Service department is expensive and will not participate in national Dodge / Mopar promotions designed to save the customer money.I printed a coupon from the Dodge / Mopar site to help save money on vehicle maintenance. We drive 45 minutes to Southland Dodge (where we bought the vehicle) to use the coupon and get the oil changed in our vehicle. Were were told that they did not participate in this national promotion and had to pay full price. $75 for an oil change and tire rotation. I could have driven 10 minutes locally and had it done for just under $50. I know that they are not obligated to participate in these national promos, but this is NOT the way to keep a customer!
Told my wife her first oil change was free. then changed their mind about that once they already had her car in the back and charged her $51. Then she told them her tire (which is covered under warranty ) has a slow leak. They just put more air in it and told her it was fine. The worst service department full of crooks.
Bought a new truck in January from this dealership, best experience Ive ever had at a dealership! Drove all the way from Baton Rouge!

They don’t even deserve the one star I bough a 2017 Charger with the Scat Pak a 54 k car i have had the car 11 months has less than 9,000 miles Go to start it this morning and won’t start so we follow the warranty through Dodge they send a wrecker to the house tell us to bring it to Dodge in Thibodaux get there they are the rudest people and inform us that they have no rental for us while they fix our car most pathetic service i have ever saw. So we had to pay to tow the car to Bergeron Dodge in Metairie they said they would give us a rental while they fixed the car. We also had to pay out of pocket for the tow because they only pay for 50 miles. Want y’all to know I will never recommend y’all to anyone. If your looking for a dealership with difference go to Bergeron in Metairie. Sad sad sad. Smh

My car broke down and I had it towed to Dodge Southland. I was told by 3 people (one including a local dealership) not to tow my vehicle to Dodge in Houma. The service was HORRIBLE! I dropped my car off on a Wednesday and they said since I didnt have an appointment they may not be able to get to the car soon. The latest would be Friday. COMPLETELY UNDERSTANDABLE...even though I needed my car. When I called on Friday they said they wouldnt get to it until August 4th! Which would mean they would have my car for 2 weeks! I do not understand how these people have been in business for so long with such a bad reputation. For another dealership to say hey good luck at Dodge, I heard the service is horrible that is...Im speechless. Yall need to do better. Youre doing a disservice to the Houma residents and should be ashamed!!
ABSOLUTELY THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!! my partner, my neighbor and his brother all bought a vehicle within a week at Southland in Houma. I was #4 in line and got worse treatment ever. All of them are in shock of what you are about to read.Purchased a car December 8, 2015 1st didnt get the deal i was initially offered before I signed papers. Was given much less than what auto trader quoted, and they told me to go online a do so the dealership can get some sort of credit for it. Was told by my salesmanKenneth Lasseigne auto trader is not legit and we(Southland Dodge) have to charge you their fees for them to come out and look at your trade. Typical car salesman to lie to you.A week later, my car had a recall I found online. Why it wasnt taken care of before i bought it?? who knows? It was an radio update. I tried to do it as stated online, then the radio broke. Called Kenneth but he was saying after the sale its out of his hands.In other words GOT HIS COMMISSION AND DONT WANT TO HELP.AGAIN, typical salesman,no customer service after the fact. I Took it in to get fixed and after 2 days in the shop they had to order me a new rad. This was the 15th of Dec. I was told it may take a couple weeks because of the holidays and factory is closed for 2 weeks. LIE, I called the factory/warehouse and was only closed Christmas day. Jan comes around. was told its back ordered until Feb. I did research called the factory. The radio was never ordered until Dec 30th. I called UCONNECT and they called the dealership and was told,by DEAN(service manager They was not ordering it until I paid for it being I BROKE IT. Uconnect already acknowledged it was a defect and not operator error. I tried calling my salesman Kenneth,(waste of time on him) and his manager Diane(waste of time). No response at all.I I tried emailing him, Diane, Mr. Teuton,the owner, and they all REFUSED to respond. I had to deal directly with Uconnect Case management service. I got Chrysler / jeep involved and they seemed to have made progress thanks to Ms. Jennifer and her team and Uconnect. Jan. 12 I got a call from AMANDA in service very rudely BRING YOUR CAR IN WE GOT YOUR RADIO I bring it in and was barely in the door, she was there rudely COME SIGN FOR YOUR RENTAL signed and threw the key at me. MAKE SURE YOU FILL IT UP TOO. 2 days pass, no word from them. I called and Joseph answers in service, I asked and he said YES Its READY Word must travel because all of them is giving me RUDE service only because I had to go and do my OWN WORK to go above them to get my car parts expedited and fixed. This is something they could have done the first place. Why make a customer who just bought from you go 2 months with a broken part. and have such rude Service department. and Amanda in Rentals, RUDE RUDE RUDE.P.S. When I dropped my car off it was just washed, When i picked it up, the hood was covered in dirt. No care in the world. Looked like a cat or animal walked all over it.Not one manager,owner, or my own salesman who was so nice in the beginning that i attempted to involve in the ordeal made any attempts to APOLOGIZE or anything. I was a General Motors owner for the past 5 vehicles.SHAME on me for going to this place to buy. If I could do it again, it wouldnt be SOUTHLAND DODGE OF HOUMA. So humiliated and embarrassed I cant shake this off for nothing. Lost my trust in them.So ashamed, I took the Southland dodge tag off my car until my plate is registered. Dont want anyone to know I even went to this place.Everybody will know about the horrible service I had.02/25/17 UPDATESFRANK TUTON OWNER EMAILS ME .Telling me to quit harassing his dealership with my issues I am having with my jeep. I am nothing but a joke and liar. Then threatened me with lawyer if I posted another bad review on him.I have video proof of my issues and yet he say its fake photoshop videos lol.I will seek a REAL dealership for service not one who Son took over and only out for a $$ not making the customer first priority unlike his Dad did.
