Had been to Hurts before and as I recall it was in Katy, but I guess they moved here, which is more convenient for me. Had the Bart Simpson, E.T., Red Velvet with cake pieces, and maple bacon donuts. Everything was yummy. The selection of flavors is good and the donuts are fairly bigger than some other donut shops I know.
Definitely something sweet! Interesting names for their very creative donuts. There’s something for every sweet tooth donut lover. They also offer milkshakes, lattes, coffee and fountain drinks. Try have the Jesus cheesecake donut. Tiny Tim donut, collie monster donut...Just stop by but make sure you have room for the calories! :)
Expensive low quality donuts. Would not recommend. As far as donuts go, this is possibly the worst option in Houston. I bought three donuts. The cherry donut was soggy and the cherry filling had run into the icing creating a watered down icing with poor flavor and texture. The lemon filled donut barely had any filling and the Boston Creme was a poor attempt at a classic. The chocolate coating was almost see through (see photos), very cheaply made and there wasnt much cream on the inside. The donut itself was poorly made and was almost like dense bread. The issue here is value for money. At $2.50 for a donut, youre overpaying for a low quality product. You can get much better donuts without the frills for one dollar at Shipleys and Dunkin.Definitely DO NOT recommend these overpriced donuts. It also does not appear to have vegan options.
Really great specialty donut shop! Tried the Oreo cheesecake donut, recommend by the cashier and it was pretty good! One of my biggest issues with these funky potentially outrageous donuts is that all the fun toppings fall off. At Hurts this is not the case; my husband and I shared the Oreo cheesecake while driving in the car and not a single stray crumb ended up in the car.The coffee is good, but could have been a bit stronger; disclaimer, that came from my husband who likes the strongest coffee. So take that as you will. I personally loved my iced latte.Bonus: the straws are awesome 😅Also being open 24/7 is pretty lit especially for people who work night shift!
First time here...just found it and decided on a short road trip. Brought my boys here after lunch.Very neat business. Open 24 hours a day 8 days a week, like their sign says. They have a large assortment of unique donuts. We got the strawberry cheesecake, chocolate cake and cotton candy donuts and a few for mom later. It was very clean, the donuts were delicious. We will be back.
It is an excellent place with magnificent attention! 👍🏻The donuts are very fresh and delicious! … We love the variety of creative and fun options! 😋We will continue shopping there!!
The best donuts that are in town. We enjoyed them thoroughly. They’re really delicious. The staff is amazing as well. Highly recommend!
First of all, Im a cinnamon roll junkie, so you can imagine my delight when I saw this big boy. Yes, its full of calories, but its worth every last one of them. The first picture (cinnamon roll) was my first time visiting Hurts. I couldnt believe their selection of awesome looking donuts and Kolaches. I know they have certain items that are served daily, but they also mix up their selection of specialty donuts. Yes, you can get regular glazed donuts, but where is the fun in that?? 😁🍩🍩My 2nd picture is from my second trip. I got a Blueberry Strudel (for my brother- he loved it!), a cherry and lemon pie (I really wanted Key Lime, but was not disappointed with the cherry or lemon), and my new favorite, red velvet with cream cheese icing and chocolate. That thing blew my mind. I didnt know what to expect, but it sure beat out a piece of red velvet cake from the grocery store! They had 3 kinds of red velvet: plain (just the red velvet cake donut), cake with chocolate (self explanatory) and then the big boy I chose.Seriously, I see lines at Dunkin Donuts and for the life of me, I cant understand why. Hurts is open 24/7, you can get your fancy coffee fix.....well...none of that Frappuccino stuff, but seriously....if youre getting your donuts from elsewhere, you are doing your tastebuds a serious disservice.
Saturday at 10am I arrived to a completely closed store. Barber Shop next door said the owner is selling store and is not open anymore.Maybe update your hours to stop from ruining your reputation.
This has been my go to donut place in Katy for the past year. Was so hurt when I saw they were gone a few weeks ago, until I saw they opened a new location in Downtown Houston! Really impressed with their set up, just disappointed with the higher prices now, but makes sense given the location. Hope they do well in their new location! Will be coming back whenever Im in town.
Great place to bring your sweet tooth and sugar addiction. The kids will also love it here. The moment you walk in it just reeks of delicious donuts. And, because the donuts are fresh, the kiddos can actually watch as the donuts are made... FUN!The service was friendly and warm, and you feel welcome the moment you set foot in here. The donuts arent really anything too special in the flavor dept. They didnt taste any different from any other donut you could get at Krispy Kreme, or even Dunk N Donuts, but they did taste really fresh.Anyway, its still a great place overall! Highly recommend!
Our new go-to place for fancy donuts. They have a great selection (even late in the day), and they have never disappointed. I will say, Ive tried many of the flavors, and I enjoy the cake donut options much more than the yeast options. The blueberry streusel is phenomenal and some other favorites are the Andes Mint and the Bart Simpson.
We ordered doughnut delivery (COVID Times) and werent given the option to pick out the types of dougnuts we wanted. I would never have tried the fruity pebbles doughnut but I have to tell Ya, it was delish! I felt kinda bad cutting into the cookie monster cookie because it was looking back at me and it was just too cute...
Best donut place in the universe totally recommend especially the guy in the front with the beard dont know his name but hes the best
Most everyone loves donuts. They are sold in grocery stores and many other places and the majority of donuts sold are often the standards, like glazed, chocolate iced, cream filled, and so forth. If you want something a little more over the top, a good place to visit is Hurts Donut in Katy. This location is, I believe, the first one in the state of Texas for this donut chain and it is a fun place to visit for the donut freaks among us. The first thing you notice when you visit is that the inside is large, with a good deal of seating but also with a good amount of open space. I like the open spaces because it means I can sit down and enjoy my donuts without having other customers bump into me. There is plenty of space for everyone. Most any donut shop in Houston also sells kolaches and Hurts Donut is no different. But the reason to visit Hurts isn’t for the kolache side show, it’s for the donuts themselves. They are offered in fun flavors, loaded with toppings that invoke the taste of your favorite candy bars, brand name cereal, etc. There is even a donut topped with bacon bits! It can be very difficult to make a decision and if you get frustrated trying to choose, just ask the person behind the counter to create a surprise package, complete with the donuts they choose. The selection isn’t overwhelming, but the different flavors and toppings are creative and it can get difficult to choose, since most who visit will likely want to try so many of them. The majority of the donuts are of the cake variety and they are sugary sweet and indulgent in many instances- the way a donut should be. Some are certainly better than others, so I recommend getting a dozen different ones for your first visit so that you can sample and find the ones you like best. For beverages Hurts Donut offers all you can drink soft drinks, coffee, and tea. If you want something else to drink, like milk or juice, they sell that, too, but only by the sealed container, which are sold in a self- serve refrigerator. You just reach inside and get what you want before you order your donuts, then pay for everything at once.Donuts are the great American indulgence and Hurts Donut ranks among the most indulgent and most fun of all Houston area donut shops to browse for sweet treats. Yes, the sugar and empty calories are a tad much, but no one ever said a donut shop was supposed to be a health food store. Donuts are all about indulging and Hurts Donut is certainly a cool place to overload on sugar and empty calories- a diversion we all deserve every once in a while!
The donuts look very good online. We drive an hour to finally try them. We arrived at 10 pm (they dont close till 11pm) and the open sign was on, workers inside and just completely ignored us. Very disappointed. Will mostly likey not come back!
Donut shops open late at night are just a good idea, dont know why more places dont stay open late! great selection, really good cake donut options and traditional ones, classic and more inventive ones.
Lazy employees! I always have problems when ordering from this store. SKIP and go to Voodoo instead if you’re wanting speciality donuts.
The best place in Houston if youre looking for real delicious donuts. 😀
Fancy donuts. Good tasting and not too expensive.
Beautifull place with Amazing food and a perfect service from the guys in there 5/5 Great place
I first visited Hurts when it was in Katy. I felt that my experiences were much nicer there than the location off memorial. There’s always one person (from what I can tell working) and they’re usually not very friendly. It seems like I’m interrupting them and they have better things to do. They seem very impersonal and working in the industry it honestly takes very little effort to do above the bare minimum. I usually only go for my daughters and get one donut for me. I like the filled donuts, but I feel like you can find better filled donuts at Shipleys or other donut shops like it. I have to bite like 7 times to reach the filling. When you get a much more filled donut somewhere else for cheaper.
Hurts Donuts is one if not the best place to get a donut in Houston, there are many things I loved about this place for example the great location, the store is clean and the environment is great, the staff is very polite and attentive, and most important the donuts are very high quality and obliviously delicious. I would recommend this establishment for anyone looking for something new, this is not your everyday donut store in here they make innovating donuts with all the flavors one could imagine, furthermore they do not only make donuts they also make amazing kolaches and milkshakes, this is a great family place for everyone.
Didnt think Id like these as much as Voodoo Donuts, but Hurts has fantastic donuts!! In fact, the cake donuts are less dense than Voodoo and for me, theyre actually superior.
These donuts have become a family favorite. The kids love the creative options as the adults love the glazed and old fashion donuts. The glazed donuts are soooo soft and the right amount of sweet.
I ordered an old fashioned and a glazed donut, they where pretty good. Almost too sweet. Nice interior design and peaceful on the inside, I did not hear loud music blaring from some cheap speaker. The cashier seemed genuinely in good spirits.
I have been meaning to come in for a while now and I made it in tonight for the first time. The donuts are incredible and are a meal just in there selves. There is a donut for everyones taste buds and then there are kolaches that are amazing made with Chappell Hill Sausage. The location is huge for all group sizes and just a fun atmosphere. To top this perfect visit off this place is open as they say 25 hrs a day it cant get any better. I would recommend Hurts Donuts to everyone so whether your in the neighborhood or across Texas make the drive in and you will not regret it. I will definitely be back. The staff are so wonderful and welcoming with amazing customer service.
24 hour donuts what more can I ask for. Their glazed are on point. Glazed are my favorite and Id rank theirs top 2 in my favorites. They have a drink called the Jesus. Get it if you want delicious flavor and stay up all day and night.
Seriously the best old fashion donuts!! This location has very curious and cheerful employees and they always have a smile on their face.
Hurts is a fantastic donut shop! It has a wide variety of unique donut options, and it has a fun atmosphere. Ive tried several different donut options, and they have all been great! My favorite regularly offered donut is the E.T. which has Reeses Pieces on top. However, today I had arguably the best donut Ive ever tried. The owner picked up chopped brisket from Blacks BBQ in Lockhart, stuffed in a glazed donut, and drizzled it with BBQ sauce. The sweet and savory combination was spectacular!
Love this place!! But they havent been staying open the hrs thay have posted online & store front. 😞 Huge bummer.
OMG this store is awesome. The first thing you notice is the smell of hundreds of donuts. I love all flavors, but my favorites are Jesus and smores 🤤🤤🤤. The best donuts in the world definitely.
Hurts has a huge variety of unique donut flavors that most people will find exciting and delicious. The “Cookie Monster” is sprinkled with bits of Oreo and is an excellent choice. Another favorite of mine is the “Oreo Cheesecake” donut. If you want something savory to go with all that sugar, they also offer Kolaches.
Wow!! The donuts were delicious!! I ordered just a plain glaze donut and the main order was for my daughter who wants the colorful sprinkles one. I didn’t expect much from the regular glaze and especially because we arrived at 11 am and most of the options are gone! It was soft, juicy and a large donut!! I think this is going to be our new donut place!! Great job guys!!
GUYS!!! Hurt Donuts gave us the BEST VALENTINES DAY EVER!! Matt was very professional scheduling our delivery. There was some phone tag, but that is to be expected with a business that is open ALWAYS. We have an office in Cypress. The guys showed up, and in my opinion, this years CUPID was the best EVER (Ive watched the videos on Facebook), they did their dance, took photos with everyone and delivered us delicious, fresh, donuts. The donuts are more expensive than the average donut, but it took three of us to finish one of them off!! They are CAKE donuts, but thats my jam, so I am a fan. I HIGHLY recommend these guys. Thanks, Matt and team! You made our day.
They came to the Children’s museum in the woodlands with their truck and it was packed with cars wanting donuts. I honestly saw the line and was about to leave, but I didn’t. Fastest service ever. They had it down to a T with a drive by. Must try their cinnamon rolls. Best one I have had in a long time.
Showed up at 6:20AM and doors were locked and no employees seen.So I went to Voodoos
Very good place to be with Family, delicious and fresh donuts with a huge variety of them, with a friendly staff, I will come back soon congrats
Love this place! Huge donuts, excellent cinnamon rolls, and a wide variety of coffee and drinks. There is a ton of seating and the place is spotless clean. Lovely place to hang out and enjoy the good vibes!!
Hurts donuts are the best, period. Weve been to locations in Little Rock, AK, Springfield, MO and now, Katy, TX with all excellent fares. Must tried are the Maple Bacon and original glazed!
Some of the best (specialty) donuts in Katy!
The donuts here are very cool, and the pun hurts donut is an awesome name
Great donut spot, havent had any this good since voodoo.
Support your local small businesses. Where they value the customers and greet you with a hello and thanks for coming in, instead of being rude and forcing mask on your face. The donuts are extremely delicious and great selection to choose from. Definitely one of my newly found donut treasure spots in Houston... not to mention this place is super clean!
So good! came here for the first time, because of a recommendation from a pregnant mom. Expectations were exceeded!
Everyone is super friendly and greet you with smiles. Lots of choices and the prices are reasonable. Love that they do custom orders! Im definitely coming back !
Perfered the katy location seems like they had a bigger selection than this new location!
Good donuts but veeery high sugar, high sweet. Recommend kolaches
Visited for the first time today based on amazing reviews however it just didnt live up to the reviews and a little pricey but mostly yummy. Heres a few of the ones we tried... --- Lemon-filled: loved the bread and wished more of that to balance the mass amount of filling. --- Red velvet: did not like, mildly cream cheese flavored icing so not very balanced and kind of bland with the cake. --- Vanilla birthday cake: cake & icing strange --- Plain glazed: good, a little wet. --- Chocolate eclair: asked for eclair and was given a long john instead... Looks like eclair but no filling... Which was super disappointing! Service was fast and attentive.
Donuts are OK, slightly overhyped for what they are. A lot of them definitely look better than they taste. There are better local donut shops.
1st time - why havent I heard of this place before? Awesome selection and service, donuts were delicious!
Each donut is like a special birthday creation. The maple-bacon long john and a bottle of ice cold milk made this a party.
The most unique toppings for donuts, so fun and their Ginormous cinnamon rolls was icing on the cake! 😋
Best donuts Ive ever had!!!
Amazingly huge (and tasty) doughnuts.
Best donuts everrrr.... Another place that NY needs.
Love this place! Best doughnuts un town
Ordered birthday donuts for nieces 3rd birthday 2 weeks in advance... went to pick them up today and they did not even have the order, yet they took the $46 for them 2 weeks ago. This is an unorganized and disappointing business and I would recommend going elsewhere.
Awesome donuts. Delicious and very unique
Delicious donuts! The employees are super nice.
My go to after midnight sweet snacks place.
Donuts are always yummy. Employees are nice and friendly.
I was feeling something sweet in the morning at the Buffalo bayou during my walk. Suddenly I drove by this place and wondering what its all about. There alot of donuts to choose from. I got the Jesus and Bart shimpson. I was surprised that donuts is just right on the sweetness.
This place was amazing. Every donut is so FRESH tasting. Cant seem to pick out a favorite because they are all so GOOD. Wish we live closer to have it everyday but we dont mind driving 25 min. every week for them. By the way the people that work there are AWESOME 👌 GREAT service with a SMILE 😃.
Nice selection. Good Boston cream.
They lie about the fillings in order to sell what they have left. Told us only jalapeños and cheese kolaches left and we bought half a dozen . Came home and there was no cheese in them. Our first and last time there.
Let me start off by saying Hurts Donut Co. has beautifully decorated donuts! That being said, they are not that good :(Because Hurts is open 24 hours (yay), the donuts I have gotten there have always tasted like they have been sitting out for awhile.
It is awesome that 100% of the proceeds of this $3 donut will go to help the HPD officers who were injured in the line of duty. Hurts Donuts is a great place!
Great donuts and kolaches. Similar fun donuts to voodoo.
You have to try out their monsterous cinnamon rolls. Its like $5 for one thats as big as your head lol definitely shareable.
