Update: They reached out and really did try to make my situation better. One star back for the effort!Dr. Henderson = fantastic. Checkup and prescription are 5 star.Two stars knocked off for the glasses buying experience. Go somewhere else.I have a high prescription, which means I cant clearly see what I look like in new glasses without taking pictures. The staff rushed me through the selection process, trying to get me out the door as quickly as possible. Was told If you dont like them, you can just get a new pair next year. No, thats not how this works. Even with insurance, new glasses cost me over $500. I dont buy them every year. This was pretty insensitive.Different staff member when I picked up my glasses. No effort made to ensure the glasses fit properly. Staff member did not seem well trained.I will be going back to my optometrist in Katy that I loved. I dont want to drive all the way out there from in the Loop, but at least I know Ill get good care when picking out new glasses.

Best there is in my opinion.My glasses are excellent and my vision much improved. I used to go to places where i get eye glasses cheaply and I now know better.These guys are not expensive when you take in to account the frustration of poor vision and headaches I used to get with second rate glasses.I really appreciate the time are care they spend with customers and how they understand that vision is important

I trust their advice, expertise, and training. Its reassuring to visit an eye care center, where the doctor and staff have served you for multiple years. They care about you.

Maybe their phone booking messed up my reservation. When I show up, I was told I didnt have a reservation at a very rude way without trying to figure out what happened. The staffs seem all new to me from last year when I visited. Maybe thats why.

I received the most thorough eye exam I have ever received. All of the staff were super helpful and gracious, and Dr. Mark Pickering was extremely thorough with evaluating my various eye test results and determining my new glasses prescription. I will be returning there for all of my future eye care needs.

I love this place! I had the same Optometrist for 14 years (Dr. Martha Stern) and she took great care of my eyes. She retired at the same time I was changing jobs. I could have stayed with that company but I decided to change insurances as well. So glad I did! I was at work having an issue with my eyes and I needed to see an eye doctor. I hadn’t taken the time yet to search for one. I googled and Perfect Vision came up. I called, gave them my eye history over the phone which started at age 18. They worked me in the next day! I was so grateful.I’ve been with them for 2 years now and they don’t disappoint! I love Dr. Henderson...she is so personable and puts you at ease (even if you are doing something you shouldn’t be doing for your eye care☺️). The staff is wonderful and so friendly. Twee, Twin, Johanna, Angie...I know I’m missing someone and may have misspelled a name or two. But if you are looking for great eye care... come to PERFECT VISION! ❤️

Ive been going to Perfect Vision for over three years for all my eyecare needs. While theyre not the cheapest eye doctor you pay for what you get here. I used to go to other places and would wait forever to be seen, not the case here. All the staff are polite and patient with any questions you may have. Pricing is upfront and there are no surprises. Ive recommended co-workers whenever they ask for help in choosing an eye doctor. Highly recommended, overall an excellent experience.

Dr. Mark and the office staff are always pleasant to work with. While the office decor is outdated and needs a face-lift, it is still very clean and well kept. I never have to wait longer than a few minutes for my appointment to start and am usually in and out in an hour. Ordering contacts and acquiring prescriptions is easy. Of all the doctors and specialists I have seen since moving to Houston, ten years ago now, I am happiest to have found Dr. Mark and Perfect Vision. I would recommend to anyone!

Dr. Abby is really professional and knowledgeable. She was able to diagnose an issue Ive been having for years that no optometrists or even physicians were able to diagnose. I felt really taken care of!

I dont understand why this company refuses to give me information about my prescriptions. I called them to get my pd number, which I need to purchase glasses online, and was told Id have to come to their location (during Covid pandemic) and get measured again (for a $15 fee). Ridiculous. My prescription has not expired - theyre just trying to make money instead of doing the right thing (by providing information for a service Ive already paid for)! They can keep the info. I wont be using them again, nor will I recommend them to others.

I can’t say enough great things about Dr. Pickering. He’s very professional, caring, and has great bedside manner. He takes the time to listen to your full concerns.This was my 1st time at Perfect Vision. I called the office that morning and was able to be seen for a medical appointment the same day. I had a small piece of debris that flew into my eye and I was unable to get it out myself but Dr. Pickering took care of the problem. He’s very informative and took care of my eye perfectly.

I had an eye emergency and they were able to see me first thing in the morning even though I wasnt a patient, I appreciate the 8am opening. Excellent & speedy they gave me a through exam and were extra gentle with my painful eye injury. Started feeling immediately better with her treatment.

I have been going here since 2014 and I am very happy with the doctors and service at Perfect Vision. I do not have vision insurance and I find their pricing to be very fair and I dont feel like they are after my money. I see Dr. Lo and she is very thorough and explains everything as she goes along! Even the optometric assistants are very knowledgeable and do a great job explaining every step of the exam. Perfect Vision will continue to get my business as long as I live in Houston.

Dr at Perfect Vision are very thorough in there examination. I had Dr Mark and Dr Lo. Both are extremely careful in their exam and provided clear communication/advice. And everyone at the front desk is friendly/helpful.

I have been a patient of Drs. Pickering (both of them) for more than 10 years and I have received the highest degree of professional care and personal treatment from all of the staff. They keep close watch on any changes from my previous exams and spend time to explain each part of the exam as well as any new options available in contact lenses. I recommend this eyecare practice.

Friendly on the phone. Contacted me promptly with a follow up call regarding my insurance. Friendly staff. Comfortable environment. As a new patient, there was a bit of paperwork which was all fully explained to me. Dr. Lo was friendly and the exam was thorough. I decided to opt out of the retina imaging, but the doctor took a good look with the eye-peeper light thingy. The eye pressure test was nice as it didnt use the jet of air that gives you PTSD--just a light brushing sensation which is way better.

I have been a patient for several years. The group is thorough, caring, and take time to answer all your questions and make sure you are respected and made to feel special. I had an emergency once, and Dr. Sheryl made sure to get me in the same day.With the current Obamacare plans, Perfect Vision is no longer in my network, but they are so good, I continue going there and paying out of pocket.

We love Dr Sheryl Pickering and have her check our eyes for glasses. My prescription is a challenge as I am severely myopic and now require reading glasses as well. Recently my husband had an eye emergency-a tear in the retina-Dr Lo saw him immediately, diagnosed the need for surgery and referred us to Methodist for emergency repair eye surgery that evening. Their fees are reasonable and if I have a doubt or need a better understanding of them they are quick to give me an answer. Drs are extremely thorough during examination and answer all your questions. Normally Im compelled to write a review for only the worst of service, as a buyer beware warning to others. However, after my first visit here today, I felt I had to share the positive experience. I went in for a routine, annual exam. The staff and technicians were very competent and friendly (and as an added bonus, cute too), the office uses newer machines and technologies, and Dr. Mark took the time not only to apply his expertise to discover two previously undiagnosed conditions of mine, but also to explain physically why I have those conditions and how they and others I have affect my vision. At additional expense, I opted to undergo a test that takes a high resolution photograph of the back of my eye, rather than have my eyes dialated and then examined by the doctor. Dr. Mark still examined the images, but it was nice to be able to walk out of the office with normal vision. Plus, apparently the doctor can see more in the images than if he were to just examine a patient directly.Ill be reusing the Oakley frames that I currently have and just updating the lens prescription, so Im unable to comment on the quality or selection of frames that this office offers as I didnt even bother to look. However, Dr. Mark was happy to oblige my request for a simple print out of my prescription to take elsewhere.A quick note on the office location: if youre driving east on Richmond, look behind you. The office is on the far side of a small strip-mall on the north side of Richmond with the office sign facing east. In other words, its a lot easier to find when youre driving west on Richmond. Make a U-turn at the Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen if you have to.Overall, highly, highly recommend.
