Holy cow this place is pretty awesome dropped off my 04 mustang gt with transmission issues grinding going into third gear and a bad clutch and Larry took awesome care of me and in a timely manner dropped off the car on a Tuesday had the car back the next Monday if you need any work done on your car highly consider this place I highly recommend it

I just move back home from the military and didn’t know anybody that I could trust to service my Pathfinder. I found Larry and the guys here in Humble and they serviced my transmission and flushed and changed my coolant, they even went over my whole vehicle and didn’t find anything else wrong with it unlike other shops that will lie to you. Haven’t picked up my truck yet but Larry kept me in the loop day to day with updates and photos. Truck wasn’t done at said due date but as an oil and gas industry employee I understand what it takes to get parts in or not on time and work hard to get to customer but also with quality. I have been assured that this rebuild would be of the highest quality and I would have no issues. I will do a review update after i put a couple hundred miles on new transmission. Thus far I am satisfied with service.

I came here because I saw all the good reviews. I needed my AC repaired. Larry was nice and he made sure to charge me for labor. He also said that he had his AC specialist look at my AC and it was fine, he said he had him top off my Freon. Me not knowing about AC systems didn’t know that you don’t too off Freon, Freon should never be topped off. If you ever top off Freon it is because it is leaking and you have a problem with your AC. Do not take your car here for AC repair. I took my car somewhere else after my AC started blowing hot air again (2 days later) and they told me that there was a leak and that my compressor was not working.

First time here. Great service with Mr Larry. Warm and friendly. Even gave me a ride home due to leaving car. Got the car the next day with no issues. Will be planning more future services

I have had nothing but great experience at this AAMCO location. It all began when my transmission was not shifting properly and i had multiple check engine lights for transmission codes. I drove the vehicle here, drooped it off, and was given a call later that day to let me know the transmission likely needs a rebuilt and they need permission to dig further into it.Upon further investigation i did need the transmission rebuilt. They answered all the questions i had and rebuilt my transmission with a warranty! They used high quality synthetic transmission fluid and i was very please with the outcome. They completed the job with in a few days and i was on my way. I have since but over 15k miles on the vehicle and have not had any major issues.Recently the mechanical shift linkage to engage 4x4 fell off of the vehicle i brought the vehicle in and explained the issues and they were able to fix it for me the same day! They are very busy here and expect to leave your vehicle here to have it diagnosed.The technicians here are very knowledgeable and do good work. The owner is great to deal with and is very informative about what needs to be done and why! They provide good customer service and do good quality work, i will definitely be back for any further services needed.

Transmission had to be rebuilt on my Chevy impala. So, Last WEDNESDAY4/3/19....I was told it would be ready that Friday 4/5 or Monday 4/8. Here we are on 4/10 after being lied to again saying that my car would be ready today at 3:00pm, changed time again. And now tomorrow is 4/11. Piss poor communication, Ive been told 6 different times my car will be ready. Yes, Ive kept record because I expect excellent customer service, and have gotten treated horribly, they sound like a bunch of politicians with times your car will be ready, do me a favor, stop the false promises, and just fix my car at the time you say you will, and if you cant, it doesnt hurt to pick up the phone and call, customers appreciate a little communication. Its quite simple and can have good results! They claim to said theyve done work to my car, but has sat in the same spot for days! TERRIBLE

Great guys! My 2016 Jeep Patriot began running rough and shifting hard on my way to work and Aamco was my first thought because I knew they use synchrony credit. When I brought it in Larry told me he would personally see to it that my Jeep was back to working order asap. They knew what was wrong with it the same day and Larry gave me a call to fill me in. He understood the issue and explained it to me and how it would need to be fixed. The repairs took about a week complete. Great customer service from start to finish and kept me informed every step of the way.

Brought my car in when passing through. Needed a good bit of tune up and some tlc.Spoke with Larry. Straightforward and knows his stuff.Honest too which is hard to come by.Did the work in a very reasonable timeframe. Im certain from experiences that had I brought it to some random place with a less knowledgable person/staff....Id have payed for services not needed and might still have issues. Had a problem code and Check Engine light for transmission on 2014, F-150 when towing boat only. Wanted to stay local to support local business. Jay took it in for diagnostics. Larry called me next morning and explained to me with professional, knowledgeable details of what results were. I know a bit about cars and I also checked resources elsewhere and all Larry told me rang true. I opted for a complete trans rebuild and rear engine seal with warranty. The truck was ready for pickup 1 day before promised. Recently took it out for Memorial Day weekend towing the RV and happy to report no Check Engine light or Error Codes! Would recommend highly based on my experience dealing with Larry and quick turnaround.

Went in to have transmission rebuilt on my Jeep - good warranty. Had a little issue with it and it was in and out very quickly. Then came a heater core problem - and Larry and Angel, the mechanic, worked together to repair it. They alway explain the details of all the repairs of my 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee. For any additional mechanic work, I will certainly take it to this location!

Customer service is not dead - it is at AAMCO Transmission and Total Car Care in Humble. Larry and his crew were wonderful, not only did they repair my transmission, Larry called to tell me there was work needed on the front end CV joints etc. and as the car was already pulled apart he would not charge labor, just parts. The guys found a couple of other small things that were wrong and these were also fixed - my car runs smoother now than when I bought it in 2006. I feel like I have a new vehicle. I highly recommend Larry and his team if you need work done on your car. One of the best customer service experiences I have had in a long time, believe me.

I would definitely recommend this place ... I brought my car in this past December a Chevy Malibu 2012 since it wouldnt run forward only backwards I had it parked in my garage for about 2 years. Service was great, timing was great and they did an awesome job. They towed my car to the shop and I handled everything through the phone where they kept me updated on everything that was going on with my car which is great since Im a girl that knows nothing about cars. Its been 6 months and my car hasnt given me any problems it runs and starts perfectly. Ive been to other places where I feel like they only take your money and in a few months the problem returns. If your looking for a trustworthy and friendly place dont be scared to bring in your car to this guys.

I highly recommend this Aamco for their honest and excellent service. They are very professional. Our Subaru Outback had transmission problem after we had just moved to Texas. Larry was very helpful, assisted us in getting rental car, and pickup service. He made us very comfortable given the situation. They fixed the car and it works very well. They asked us to bring the car back for test again two weeks after the repair, just to ensure there was no problem after break-in. We are very happy and highly recommend their shop, not to mention that Aamco is known for transmission service. They also perform other service, including oil change. We are planning on going back their for other services.

I called Mr. Larry today told him my problem, I told him I needed to get my car towed to his location he provided me with a wrecker company that was reasonable and I didnt have to pay up front. They added the tow to the repair bill very grateful for that. Mr Larry and crew fixed my car less than 2 hours and everything is back to normal thanks a bunch for all your hard work and for being reasonable and fair

I left my vehicle at this location to receive a diagnosis. My car was left there Monday morning and as of Tuesday afternoon I called to check the status. I was provided information verbally of what issues my car is having. I asked for an estimate of the costs and Larry informed me it was not available yet. I picked my vehicle up on Tuesday afternoon, about 5, and inquired about an estimate then as well but one was still not available. When I got in my vehicle on Tuesday, I noticed my am rest was empty and everything from my arm rest had been stuffed into my glove compartment. I immediately went back in to the establishment and asked Larry why my things had been gone through. He immediately replied my guys dont take things and theyve been working with me for years. He then stated they were probably looking for my wheel lock. I left and over the weekend I noticed my mothers handicap tag (which I keep on the event in transporting her) was missing from my driver side door (along with some other things that were later found in the glove compartment). I searched my entire car before calling and leaving a message about the missing handicap tag. I called back (due to no return call today, Monday )and Larry immediately got defensive when I asked about the missing tag and stated I was accusing them of something they didnt do. I simply explained that it was there when I dropped it off and now it wasnt and theyre the only ones that went through my things. He said it wasnt there without checking with anyone then pretended to ask someone in the background. He handled the situation very unprofessionally and hung up in my face when I was trying to explain my side of things. His only defense was theres a sign that says theyre not responsible for any missing property, hanging in his office. I called back after he hung up in my face and he said that my car was a part of a burglary/theft attempt that happened at the shop. I asked him what day the attempt happened and he stated Thursday morning, then Wednesday night, then Tuesday evening as I kept reiterating that my car was picked up Tuesday afternoon, DURING BUSINESS HOURS. Bottom line is Larry is a fast talker that tries to get you off of his back about any issues you may have instead of trying to resolve your issue. I will NEVER use this company again since I cant trust my things with them.

I needed a new clutch kit and flywheel for my Infiniti G35 so I took it to Jay and Larry to replace. I normally do all my car work myself but I just didn’t have time for this one with all the holiday stuff going on. These guys did it right. My car drives like new. And I am pretty sure they also did some things that I didn’t ask for but needed like tighting the action on my emergency brake. Thanks fellas!

First off I just want to thank AAMCO for everything they did for me and for making sure my car was fixed in a timely manner.AAMCO in Humble Texas is a fantastic place to go get your car looked and repaired. They are really a great place.The gentlemen at this location were all so friendly, helpful, and extremely knowledgeable.I was able to get my car looked at with limited notice and without an appointment.I dropped my car off around 2pm on a Thursday afternoon and was given a quote for repairs by 4pm the same day.I initially took my car to the shop because I was sure that there was a problem with my transmission and I knew my car needed to be looked at immediately.After having it looked at by AAMCO they determined that in fact the problem was not with my transmission (which was such a relief), however the culprit of my car issues were the front bearings as well as my back brakes (a relief compared to transmission problems).I wasn’t sure what to do about fixing my car and I needed time to think it over.AAMCO in Humble allowed me to take time to make a decision without feeling rushed.I didn’t know if I wanted to get the repairs done right away because I didn’t think the issues were as bad as they were, however, the guys at AAMCO showed me the parts on my car that were being replaced and explained and showed me why I was having the issues I was having.After contemplating almost all day Friday, I finally decided to go ahead and get the repairs done.The guys at AAMCO stayed late and made sure that my car was fixed up and road worthy before the weekend came and I am so thankful for them.I really appreciate AAMCO Humble for being so kind and patient with me and explaining and talking me through the issues I was having.I also appreciate the extra time and effort they put into completing the work on my car before the weekend came because it was also my birthday.They made sure that my car was safe for me to drive because they were concerned for my well-being.This was my first experience with AAMCO Humble and I can say without a doubt that I will go back to them for years to come.They were fast, professional, kind, knowledgeable, friendly, and easy to work with.I really truly appreciate the guys at AAMCO and for fixing my car.It went from being super loud and barely driving and having problems speeding up to back to normal and able to speed up and not loud at all.My car is back to a functioning car and I am really happy with the work AAMCO did.I will be going back for sure.And I recommend to anyone and everyone!!!Again, big thanks to AAMCO.You guys are amazing!!!

Lifetime warranty and it has been 10 years so far

Recently I stopped by one day around 10 am to have my truck diagnosed and was told it would be ready some time after lunch. I called before they closed and they told me they didn’t get around to it to check in the next morning. Finally I had to stop by that next day on my own before they closed because I was never contacted, all this to tell me something that “might be the problem”.Maybe other people have been treated different but I feel like I wasted my time to be told a possible problem rather than a for sure diagnosis. Not bashing the place but I personally will not be going back due to my experience.UPDATE: took it to Eric’s automotive down the street on Wilson and 1960 and he was able to diagnose my truck the minute I pulled up turned out to be a bad U-joint. Thanks a lot AAMCO I fixed the issue myself and they didn’t even charge me to diagnose it.

Being female and having a transmission problem is scary! But these guys treated me right and explained exactly what was going on, even showed me the bad parts afterward. Driving through Houston, I had car trouble. Started calling places to see who could help me ASAP midday on a Friday. This was the third place I called and Larry told me to bring it right in. When I arrived at AAMCO in Humble, they started assessing the situation right away. My emergency became their priority! While waiting for my car, several customers came in and you could tell they trusted the personnel here. Larry at AAMCO was amazing!! He took very good care of my vehicle. When I was told by other mechanics that it would be impossible to fix without costing me a arm and leg he did it! So from now on hes my only mechanic!

So I was having my oil changed next door to this AAMCO Transmission in Humble and I went in to see why my ckeck engine light was on. Of course I put it off until the last min and I needed it fixed ASAP. Turns out it was an inexpensive fix and Larry was able to get it done for me on very short notice. He was very accommodating, flexible and friendly. They specialize in transmissions but door other care care too. I will definitely call on them again.

Really easy process. They let me know what was wrong with my car in a couple days and how much it would cost that day. Also informed me of loan options.
