I am so thankful to have found this place. It was exactly what I was looking for in an auto repair shop. Tim was so professional and very honest in his assessment of my repair request. He gave me detailed information and was straight to the point with how the repair process worked. My vehicle was repaired in a few hours and back on the road. I showed up on a whim to get an oil change. They told me they were busy and just might be able to squeeze me in so I left my car and went about my day. They were able to get it done in just a few hours for a very reasonable price and I’m just happy to find a good mechanic

Jim is a wonderful, congenial business owner who makes you feel at home while at the same time not trying to feed you a line of B.S. my A/C was fixed within one day (as per our discussion) and the price was well within the agreed upon amount. First review I have ever given, that is how good this place is.I had taken my truck to another local shop for a brake issue and front wheel bearing replacement. The other shop informed me there was a leak in the rear main seal which would cost $1,900 to repair. I called a few other places to get estimates on that over the phone and they were about the same, so I said go ahead. They ended up telling me they couldn’t get the exhaust manifold off without snapping the bolts and gave me the option to just back out of the repair, which I did. I went and picked it up and there was a new noise, which after bringing it right back turned out to be an exhaust leak caused by them messing with the exhaust manifold. They ended up “repairing” it for free but they did a poor job and it was still happening.This is when I took it to The Shop on recommendation from someone else. I am so glad I did. AMAZING shop and staff. Tim called me every day my truck was there to keep me up to date. They did my inspection, fixed the brake issue the other shop neglected, fixed the exhaust leak, fixed the rear main seal leak and popped my 4wd knob back into place for $500 cheaper than the other place was charging me for just the rear main seal. When I picked it up, Tim took me into the shop and showed me my old exhaust manifold because the bolts were, in fact, stuck. He said they would have had to get them drilled out and it would have taken much longer to get it to a machinist to do, so instead, he replaced it completely... for free.On top of everything else, Tim is just a GOOD GUY who genuinely cares about his customers. I will never bring my truck or any vehicle I own anywhere else and will recommend this place to everyone I know.

This place was by far the most legit repair shop I have ever been to! My car was messed up during transit and they figured out the problem right away. Not only that they were straight forward and even contacted me if there was any work that needed to be done before they did the work. And lets be honest Tim is an angel! I have already recommended them to multiple ppl!

I found The Shop and Tim online several years ago when searching for someone knowledgeable I could trust to honorably service my girlfriends then-2011 Accord. She lives there in Atascocita, and I live in Austin. Many cars later across both our households Tim is our absolute default guy for all things automotive, from routine service, major repair, and consulting on new (new to us anyway) vehicle acquisitions. I have referred Tim to my family who also live in the area, and everyone I know who uses The Shop once never again goes anywhere else. Heck, I even sometimes try to schedule routine maintenance on my Mazda so that it happens when Im in Houston so Tim and his guys can do it! My hat is off to this man and his impeccable professionalism and business integrity. Highly recommended.

I always have a pleasant experience when I bring my cars to have service at the Shop. Tim is always honest and never tries to recommend any unnecessary repairs. I have complete trust in what they do and I know it will be done right the first time.

Tim and the crew have always done good work. During my recent visit a hose was left disconnected during service which led to poor engine performance. I returned the same morning but was told I couldnt be squeezed in until the following day. I was disappointed to have to wait an entire day for a 10 minute fix, for an issue that should not have occurred in the first place.

Got told the cant drill out two bolts from an exhaust flange because they dont have that kind of tooling. Alright, pal, major repair shop cant fix a flange.

Tim was wonderful. He was precise, trustworthy and his explanation of my vehicle’s issue was very comprehensive. I found his most admiral quality was that he was not at all condescending towards me. He is amazing at what he does. I will definitely be using The Shop again.

This place gives top notch service. They are friendly, thorough, and keep you informed. They can be hard to spot from the road, but well worth the effort. Tim is the primary contact and he is amazing. My truck’s catalytic converter was stolen, and he walked me through process of getting things taken care of. If you live in Atascocita or surrounding areas, this is the place to get your vehicle maintained or repaired. There are other places nearby, and I have tried them all, having lived in the area many years. The Shop will shuttle you back home if needed. BTW, the gentleman who provided a shuttle ride was courteous and a lovely conversationalist which made me smile and helped soften the sting of being a victim of catalytic converter thieves. 😊Oh! Ask Tim about the lighting story and the sign!

Tim is a really cool guy. He explained all the details about what was happening with my trucks ac and told me that he didn’t want to just throw in a new condenser when the problem could be something else. He fixed it and told me to come back when it happens again so he can see where it’s messing up. The dealership told me that if it’s the condenser it would be about 1700. Tim told me he could get it done for 1175.

The owner showed courtesy or another person at the desk will great you when you come in to the shop. They are ready to help you with your vehicle and the price you pay is always fair. They let you know what they find first and the charges of price before they do the repairs. GOOD PEOPLE

After this, I’ll be bringing my vehicles exclusively to The Shop.My Jaguar had a coolant leak located behind the engine, which was impossible for me to get to myself. I was worried that the cost for this type of repair would be astronomical and that my car wouldn’t run well afterward. I knew that sensors would probably be going off, unless I took it to the Jaguar dealership. I also knew how much Jaguar would charge.I decided to give The Shop a chance and expected to be without that car for a week. These guys had my car repaired and back on the road within 24 hours. Tim was my contact. He’s extremely professional and a straight shooter, which both seem to be rare qualities these days. His estimate was honest, he didn’t try to up charge for other repairs, the repair was incredibly quick, and my car is running like new. Not one sensor is lighting up.I know I’ll need brakes, oil changes, other repairs and general maintenance eventually. The Shop will get all of my business. I highly recommend these guys!

I came there because I was having trouble getting my headlight changed. Tim, the manager was really nice and got me right in to put in the headlight I bought from another store. Within 15 minutes they got those stubborn bulbs out and replaced with my new ones. He also charged a very reasonable price that I didnt mind paying because of the service. We will be making The Shop our stop if we need some mechanic work.

I came to their business to get my tire changed They did not close until 7pm. I was there at 4:45pm and they sent me away. The BEST and most honest auto mechanic shop I have ever had do work on a vehicle. Tim, the manager, was open, honest and showed me exactly what was wrong outside of what we had already diagnosed. He gave me a price breakdown, explaining everything. Ron, the mechanic, fixed everything down to a T and got my car driving like it was new again. My husband and I know enough about cars that we could have done the work ourselves, but we didnt have the time. From now on I will let Tim and Ron do all of my familys car service. Ladies especially, if you are worried about getting swindled by a mechanic, please go see Tim at The Shop. He is honest, up-front, and treated me with respect for my knowledge of cars. We have used The Shop for years. They have always done good work at a fair price. When most places try to inflate their bill, The Shop has never tried to oversell or suggest a repair that wasnt necessary. Courteous and professional staff. We wont go anywhere else.

Absolutely wonderful experience. Called first and spoke with Randy. Told me to go ahead and bring the car up and they would check it out. Tim called and said it was misfiring. Actually picked the car up the day before from another shop who changed plugs and coils. Unfortunately the other shop didn’t tighten the spark plug. He fixed that drove the car again and noticed the car was slipping when changing gears. I had suspected the transmission was slipping too. He said unfortunately he did not work on that kind of transmission. It’s a 2014 VW CC with a DSG transmission. Unfortunately most shops don’t work on that kind. I really appreciated the honesty Tim showed. Would recommend anyone to this shop. Thank you so much.

I am so glad I pulled over when I saw their sign!!! I initially came in for an inspection sticker and they were so nice. I forgot that a car wash took off my windshield wiper due to one of the brushes. I ended up going to another mechanic for several services including brakes and it was a nightmare! He kept my car for over a month and I literally had to lie for him to work on my car. When I got my car I knew something wasn’t right. I called the Shop and they still remembered me from weeks prior. They assessed my car and fixed the problem. What set them apart was they remembered my son and even took concern when going over the previous mechanic work and released he didn’t even put nuts and bolts on my wheel Barron and the only thing holding it on was the tire!! I was going to go to one of the dealership type shops to get my air conditioning fixed & routine maintenance. It was so scary because of recent bad experiences with the large mechanic shops and their outrageous prices.So I researched and found The Shop . 4.9 rating! Spoke to Mr Tim Smith and set up an appointment. Hes a little further than I wanted to drive but boy am I glad I did. I now have a mechanic I trust and who wont take advantage of me. His prices are very reasonable & affordable.They fixed my air conditioning and performed the routine maintenance. The only thing he recommended when he called to tell me my car was ready was that my engine filter needed to be replaced. Yes this was definitely reasonable with (142k) miles.I knew when I left my car there that I was in good hands. So grateful I found this shop and my forever mechanic. Brought my car in for what I thought was a transmission problem. They tested and let me know the issue was a cylinder misfire. Told me upfront the expectation and cost. Fixed and return my car on a Saturday afternoon s more than what I was expecting. Shop manager Tim is always professional and courteous to work with.

While there is not a lot to a state inspection, in terms of complexity, I found the experience pleasant enough that I would be bringing in other custom including regular maintenance, oil changes etc. Tim sounded trustworthy and honest and the whole place has an overall positive vibe, something I long for in the auto repair and maintenance business.

I came here a few months ago to have my car diagnosed because the check engine light was flashing. A very helpful gentleman named Tim helped me. Not only did they not charge for the diagnostics test but they informed me that there had been a recall on my engine and even gave me the paperwork I needed to take to Hyundai to start the process of getting a new engine. The Shop was great. Took the car in due to the emergency possibly not passing inspection. Even though the break did pass they went ahead and looked at the brakes. Everything was fine and they let me know. Could have charged way more then I needed but didnt. He was very honest and friendly

Highly Recommended! Tim was amazing to work with. Due to the pandemic my husband has not left the house for health reasons. So when we had car issues Tim was recommended to us, Tim took several calls from my husband who is very knowledgeable with cars. He was very patient and looked into every issue my husband brought up and our car was fixed in a very timely manner. When it came to test driving the car he noticed the gas light was on and was very gracious to put some gas in the car so a proper test drive without worries can be done. As being a women with very little knowledge of cars I felted very comfortable and appreciated not being taken advantage of. Tim was very honest and genuine.

After a mobile mechanic terrorized my SUV, I brought it to the shop. Ill just say a real mechanic knows how to fix what other mechanics messed up. This can be very difficult but Tim took care of me! Its hard to find honest mechanics these days who are fair with the price and mechanical diagnosis, but these guys are the real deal!

Went in for an oil change. Staff was extremely nice and professional. Shop was clean and tidy. Had complimentary water and coffee. Prices were very fair and staff was knowledgeable. Couldn’t have had a better experience.

I had to visit the shop when my van, which is also my house, broke down on my way out of town. If I could give these guys 6 stars, I would. After another mechanic told me I needed a new clutch and new transmission, I took the car to The Shop after reading many good recommendations. Staff at the shop immediately starting asking questions to help diagnose the issue and were receptive to my suggestions regarding the clutch slave cylinder. They test-drove the car and said they honestly couldnt find anything wrong, other than that the car has high mileage and might shift stiff sometimes. Since they couldnt find anything wrong, they didnt even charge me. The entire time the car was with them I felt informed and confident in their diagnosis. Overall I highly recommend these mechanics, they are exceptional.

I was told costs and possibilities up front and there was no beating around the bush. When I needed my car towed to and from the shop it was well priced, and done very quickly. Wait time was also very short for servicing/repairs, and I was kept updated throughout the process. I found the mechanic I’ll be using from now on here.
