I come here allll the time but I can never finish the icing. It is overwhelmingly sweet, like it will make you sick sweet lol the cake part is the BEST ever but would like to enjoy the full cupcake, I probably leave about 1/5 of the icing due to how sweet the icing is! I love sweet stuff but the icing is just tooooooooooooooo sweet! Would love to see an improvement on that! Pic of how much icing needs to be taken off, even that it’s too much

I was looking for place to get cupcakes and came across Smallcakes in Humble. I bought a dozen cupcakes my 1st time there. I ate the cookies and cream before I left the parking lot and was in love. I tried the red velvet and decadent chocolate when I got home. OMG!!!!! I went back today and bought 2 more cupcakes 🧁.

I enjoy the cupcakes here but had never tried anything else on their menu, so one day I decided to try the ice cream and cupcake in a cup, I was the only customer in the store at the time. The employee behind the counter told me I would have to call ahead to order the cupcake in a cup. I was confused the cup was there, the ice cream was there, the cupcakes were there. I’d been there plenty of times and seen them making it for other customers who ordered it. Needless to say I lost my sweet tooth craving and haven’t been there in awhile, If I go back I’ll just do what I usually do buy the cupcake and go to Baskin Robbins and use my own cups at home

Bought a cake for my daughters 7th birthday and it was so delicious! They did a really great job and the frosting was delicious. We bought the 8in round cake and it was 4in tall! We will definitely consider buying future cakes from smallcakes humble! I like to support local business and hope others consider buying from here too!

I visited this little gem for the 1st time a couple weeks ago. I purchased the 6 for $20 - strawberry, Decadent vanilla, Decadent chocolate, wedding day, hot fudge sundae, and chocolate cream. AMAZING!!! The only one I didnt care for is wedding day (just my opinion). Its almond cake and almond buttercream. Sounded good, but I am not a fan of almond. Someone that likes almond might think its delicious. The rest were absolutely tasty... strawberry being my favorite!!! I read other reviews where the owner was rude and so was the staff. The owner and 2 ladies were working when I was there... super nice ladies.

I ordered my daughter birthday cake from here I went to pick it up unfortunately it was made wrong, but they fixed it immediately they went above and beyond !!THANK you for your urgency ladies 12/24/20 this place make the best cakes I will definitely order more for future celebrations! My daughter and I always enjoy grabbing something sweet from the variety of little treats they offer. My daughter went straight to the unicorn cupcake tonight. The icing wasnt too sweet and the cake was moist and soft. Were enjoyed every bite!!The box contained 2 peanut butter cups, 1 unicorn, and 1 Kentucky bourbon cupcake.

This once long amazing, my wife wanted to try this place due to all the hype. The place looks amazing, the staff is very attentive. The cake part of the cup cake is moist and delicious. The frosting is flavourless and basically sugar. I had the Lemon curd. It was a vanilla cake and vanilla frosting with a microscopic lemon curd. My wife had the fudge Sunday and that was good also.The place is beautiful with out a doubt. And the cupcakes are delicious, but they fall short of the hype....

My experience with this location has been horrible. The owner has terrible customer service. I place an order for a specific day (that I wasn’t aware they weren’t open) and received a notification that stated the order would be ready the next day the store would be open. Due to that, I had to place an order at a different location. When I finally talked to the store owner a week and half later whom was suppose to call me the day I called to cancel the order. She was very disrespectful and spoke to me like I was slow. She basically stated it was my fault and she wasn’t going to give me a refund. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS STORE TO NO ONE NOR WILL I EVER USE THEIR SERVICES. I was totally shocked by the immediate attitude I received when I answered my phone. Horrible customer service and the matter was not handled properly at all. Corporate will be notified immediately!

You can not sample any icecream before hand so if you dont like it, youre stuck with it. Cant exchange it either.Every other larger icecream chain allows you to sample except here.. bad business move.

Being a foodie Ive searched for the best cupcakes in Houston and stumbled upon Smallcakes and Ive been VERY hesitant to try any others since. From the frosting to the size to the softness of the cake, everything about these cupcakes is perfect! The service is gracious and very welcoming. Im Soo glad there is one now in Humble.

I bought 4 cupcakes(Red Velvet/Wedding/Decadent/CookiesNCream) and 3 pistachio macaroons today and the only one we liked from the 4 cupcakes is the wedding cupcake the rest frostings where too sweet and the red velvet cupcake doesn’t taste anything like chocolate the cherry flavor is way too over powering. The decadent cupcake chocolate frosting it too overpowering and the cupcake tasted more like a muffin instead of a cupcake. The macaroons taste too dry as if they where left in the oven a little more then they should have. The taste itself is good. I only gave 2 stars because of the Wedding cupcake.

Small Cakes are delicious! They are soft and full of flavor! You can tell the cupcakes are baked with care. New flavors are always on the horizon to try along with the classics. The owners very pleasant and provide great customer service.

I left this location not too long ago and was very pleased with the customer service. The two girls(Angela and Kim) working were very nice when I walked in and I felt welcomed as I walked through the door. The only problem I had was deciding what to get but I made my choice and didn’t regret my decision. Great customer service and excellent cupcakes.

My wife ordered me some cupcakes for my anniversary...we order from small cakes for every occasion, I even recommend other business owners. I called the location to see if anyone knew the amount of calories for the wedding cake (I know it’s weird, but the site is outdated). The guy who answered was rude and extremely short, the ladies are usually nice. I know little ole me won’t effect their business, but we won’t ever shop here again nor will I recommend someone to this business.

Today, few minutes ago, I was assisted by an employee who seemed very rude He answered my questions as if I’d never been there and what I was asking didn’t make sense. I regret making my purchase just now. I could understand if it was minutes til closing, but it’s not near closing time. I know the loss of one customer won’t hurt, but I will never refer another soul.

I love love love these cupcakes! Im not big on cupcakes because they either dont have enough icing, or they are dry. Some even just are toooo sweet and just taste like sugar. But these cupcakes are the best Ive ever had! I am amazed at the flavors and the moisture in the cupcakes. Not only does this place have cupcakes they make shakes and put cupcakes on a shake. They also have really good ice cream! I will be coming back! Satisfied customer😊

$40 for 12 cupcakes. They better be amazing! That’s what I thought. The store was nice. The workers were very pleasant. The cupcakes looked great. The box they were in looked great. The cupcakes well they look delicious but that’s where they fall short. The cake part is moist and a decent cake but as for flavor and the frosting it tasted like a mouth full of sugar with no flavoring (very slight hints of it but practically not there). Disappointing. Hopefully this will change and the flavors will get better. Even my kids weren’t thrilled with them and what kid doesn’t love a cupcake! I’ll try them again in a couple months but as for now I wasted $40!

Just moved into the neighborhood and smallcakes caught my eye so I decided to swing by and I’m glad I did. Bought four and all were good but the cookies and cream was delicious! It was so good the frosting and cake itself.Definitely will swing by again.

Cupcakes were delicious but the customer service was awful. We showed up at 7 45. We knew it was 15 mins till closing and understood that the selection was going to be low because its cupcakes. But they had no interest in providing us with knowledge of what they had left. My husband asked to know what flavors of ice cream they had and the lady showed no interest. They really were focused on cleaning up and getting out of there.

I contacted this place today to make a birthday cake for my son’s birthday. I was told over the phone that they could have a 6” custom round cake and have it ready for Saturday (within the 72hr window stated on their website). They told me to email them the example and someone would get back with me. I emailed right away which was around 12pm, I called back to ensure they received my email and called back again around 6pm since they closed at 7pm. Only to find out that they said they could not make it because it was a fondant design. I then emailed them (same day) a similar buttercream design. They then told they may not be able to meet my request. This time the reason was because I was outside the 72hr window. I called out the fact that I was told something different, as well as, what their website states. She told me that was for all other cakes and not custom cakes which is not stated on their website. She also told me that I could find another bakery to meet my request. I knew at that point they either could not do it or just did not want to do the cake.I immediately called the Small Cakes and Kingwood, the nice lady took my order and payment over the phone. My order will be ready at 2pm on Saturday. It sucks because I live in the Humble area and would love to support small business in my community. However, this was the result. Very bad customer service and seemingly dishonesty.

The customer service at this location is severely lacking. This is my first time at this particular location. I walked in very excited because I had promised my kids cupcakes all week. I said hello like 3 times and never got a response. Instead it was straight to the point. The 2 black girls especially the tall one acted like I was such a burden and they couldnt wait till we left. I was so tempted to leave and if I didnt have my kids with me I probably wouldnt have ordered. Very disappointed

Great cupcakes, horrible service! The two young ladies working Saturday, June 1st, around 6 pm made us feel like a burden. They seemed like they didn’t want to be there, and you can tell in their faces and the way they would do things. I know they are just the employees, not the owners, but if they are the owner I would like to know, so I can take my business elsewhere.

I live In Summerwood and referred by an employee from HEB to Smallcakes. I bought a dozen and had planned to make this one of my permanent locations for my activities, being that I am an Activity Coordinator for a Sr. Group Home but the baker whom was helping wait on customers had such a nasty attitude that I told her she was hurting the business.Another thing that was disappointing was to see this Black Owned Business and no Black employees.

I love this place. Very friendly staff, clean facility, and I enjoy Happy hour. The ice cream 24 carrot is my fav.

Normally I would give a 5 star as I love small cakes..But i was getting cupcakes and Pupcakes..This lady walks in being snooty cause I had my Pebbles which is a puppy, before she assumed she might have asked instead of making comments.She is a service dog for personal reasons..The lady at the counter stated we do have a sign says no pets....First of all was not an issue til this lady decided to be snooty..I assume owner or Manager could have spoken to me instead of telling the other lady since she was trying to check me out and was on phone at same time.But i did let her know a service dog.I am on a diet purchasing for my employees..I stopped going to Kingwood Smallcakes due to poor service, guess this 1 is now out..Guess can look else where to get sweets..And she did not even ask me if I was in reward program, did not get service I normally do.The young ladies working there were great..Not recommending them anymore..2 stars only beacuse of the other girls working there..Reply to review:Manager was aware which im sure is the one who replied to me.Does not really matter as someone should have said something when I first walked in if was an issue!Wish you the best in business..I already found else where for a sweet tooth..Since could not read full reply and was unable to reply added here :-)

Super Moist, Super delicious, and worth every calorie!!

The ladies behind the counter were super nice! Ive never been to a place that sells ice cream where you are encouraged to try free samples, but they really wanted us to try them! For good reason too, my mom said it was delicious.The only downsides are the prices and the variety of frosting. These are very expensive cupcakes, but you can tell a lot of love and effort went into them, so theyre not too bad if youre having one for yourself. Plus, theyre hefty too so you dont really need more than one.As for the variety, I wish theyd offer more than just buttercream frosting on their cupcakes. There were a couple that had cream cheese instead, but the majority was buttercream. Most places use buttercream, but the majority of them make them super sweet. Small Cakes is no different in that regard, so if you like super sweet frosting then youll love these cupcakes.The cake itself is what really sets them apart. Theyre super moist and tasty, and I really wish theyd offer whip cream or meringue frosting as other options. All in all, I think this is a nice place to come for an occasional treat. The cupcakes are moist, and the staff is kind.
