I took my phone here to get the screen replaced. The next day the screen was having all sorts of issues, ghost touches, flashes, straight up wouldnt turn on. I wouldnt recommend that you take your business here.

Quick and reasonable prices

I had high hopes for this small local business, but was disappointed and want to save others the bummer. I brought my Android Moto X4 in because the screen wouldnt turn on using the finger-sensor and also the power button was broken. I gave them my email to hear back about the phone. They said it would be about a day until I heard from them.I received no email, so I stopped by in person again. They said they were too busy to email. Instead of describing the problem with my phone, they pushed me to choose one of their models for sale so they could transfer my info to that other phone and sell it to me. I wanted them to fix my old phone instead. They seemed squirrelly about this, but finally agreed to try fixing it. Again, they didnt email me when the fix was done, so I had to keep stopping in to check. It took about 4 days for me to finally have my phone back. They charged me $54 (counting tax) to turn the phone on, but they neither fixed the power button or the finger-print sensor. Additionally, they didnt glue the screen all the way back on again after opening up the front to turn it on, with the expectation that I would after all be purchasing a phone from them.About a day later, my phone refused to turn on again. Instead of going back, I did some googling and taught myself how to open it up, use tweezers, and turn it on myself. I should have done this myself and saved $54 dollars and 4 days of wasted time.Other concerns I have with the place: 1) they sent my phone up to their sister store (?) at the mall, rather than working on it at the downtown location. 2) When I inquired about their refurbished phones for sale (just out of curiosity, and I ended up buying one on Back Market instead), they said they could order one for me from their dealers in CA, but I would be stuck having to purchase the phone even if it came in and I didnt like it. They also wouldnt name me an exact price or promise me any specific model from their dealers in CA.If you go here, please proceed with caution! They seem to do good business with their friends and trusted customers, but if you dont know them, Id take everything with a grain of salt. Again, I wanted to support a local business, but was very disappointed.

These guys replaced the screen on my Nexus 5 quicker than they originally estimated they could, and it was $10 cheaper than they originally thought it would be. They warned me that some functions might not work after the screen replacement, but everything worked fine. My only complaint is that they didnt have a protective case for my phone, in stock. Thankful to have them in Ithaca!

The two good stars for this are for the nice customer service and rapid fix, however, my phone is not essentially useless!!!! I went for a screen replacement and really wish I hadnt as the cracked screen was better. It cost 100$ (which seems expensive) and now the screen looks fine but is so insensitive it is almost impossible to use the keyboard. I would be wary of coming here.

My Samsung S5 stopped recharging. In just a few minutes he did trouble shooting. Explained that to replace the bad recharge port in the S5 would require removing the screen with a high danger of cracking (it is glued on). This would increase the cost of repair for an older phone. Did not try to up-sell me a newer phone but came up with a solution for charging the battery that allows me to keep using my phone. Friendly and fast.... Highly recommended.

They told me three times the total cost would be 20 dollars (I also had two witnesses to this), then they charged me 106 dollars. The screen also lagged and made my phone glitch and it even broke through the screen protector they gave me just a few days later. I had to go back and argue just to get another screen for less money even though they were the ones that messed up. The second screen they gave me worked just fine which means they did not give me a good quality screen for the price I paid unless i argued and threatened to post a bad review but I will post it anyway because I had a horrible experience.

They broke my phone even more (so I cant talk to people without using hands-free or touch-buttons), tried to blame me, and wont own up to it or solve the original problem I paid them $50 to solve.I brought my Galaxy S4 in about a month ago because it wasnt charging. Guy tells me its the charge port, $50 and a day to replace it and Ill be emailed when complete. 4 Days go by, not a word, so I go get it.I quickly find out the touch-feedback back and menu buttons on on my phone dont work at-all and no one can hear me when I try to make a call.I come back to a different guy and tell him my troubles and he tries to blame me by pointing out the scratches in my phone and the cracked screen as if I did all that between my last visit!! He then goes into pitch-mode, calls my phone and uses the hands-free mode as if its no big deal they just broke a bunch of components on my phone and everythings fine....and my phone still does not charge. The new charge port only worked with a wiggle and now not at all.I tried to explain this to the third guy behind the counter, who seemed pissed he had to help me at all, and he tried to sell me on a new charge cable. I bought a new charge cable elsewhere and it still does not work.

Terrible company! Violated my privacy and took 2 tries to fix my phone (read on for details). Go anywhere else.I took my phone to the Ithaca Mall branch of Ithaca Phone Repair (same company as Lena Gadgets on the Commons) to transfer my apps, photos, and contacts from an old phone with a broken screen to my new phone. Three days later, I got my phone back and was pleased with the friendly service, the successful repair, and the fair price. The phone repair guy had left his gmail account signed in on the phone because he had used his google account to upload material from my old phone and transfer it to my new phone. That was no big deal, so I just signed out of his account.Then, 10 days later I realized that my phone photo gallery was STILL synced to his google photos account and that it was set to automatically upload photos taken on my phone to his account. I immediately disabled this and signed out of his google account, feeling pretty creeped out. I am willing to believe this was an innocent mistake (the alternative is unsettling), but even so, a phone repair company should understand that this is a huge violation of privacy and completely inappropriate! But it gets worse. After I removed his google account from my phone, all of my contacts (i.e. exactly what I had paid him to transfer over!) were deleted.When I brought my phone back to explain the situation (this time to the downtown location, which was more convenient for me), they caused a huge hassle with scheduling. Instead of having me drop off my phone at a time that was convenient for me, they asked me to wait until they called me to drop it off. I agreed, stipulating that it should be in the morning because my afternoon was busy. At 11:45AM I got a text asking if I could wait until the afternoon. Frustrated but wanting this fixed, I agreed but asked them to let me know what time so I could schedule my afternoon. I did not hear from them again until 4PM when they texted me asking me if I could bring my phone down right then. I went, expecting them to fix it right away (why else would I need to come at a specific time rather than just dropping off my phone any time?), but when I got there, they said they needed to keep my phone for several days to do the repair.I could not be less impressed with this company. In the end, they got the job done, but the repair was absolutely not worth the hassle. Avoid this place if you can!

They called me and asked if they could have the opportunity to resolve the problem. I said yes and they kept their word. They also carry many accessories for these devices. Please give them a try, unless you enjoy throwing your money away at the brand named stores.******************I just had my iPad screen replaced. They were very kind and I trusted their work. That same day I charged it and it seemed to be okay. After about an hour the screen had a life of its own. It jumped around the screen without touching it. I tried to call the phone number listed at time when they were open. The call went to voicemail from Time Warner and wouldnt allow me to leave a message. After this is resolved I will update my review.

I would have given this place a 0 star if that was possible. Not only that they did not fix my damaged phone but they also made it worst. The worst part is if I did not confront them about that the phone got worst after fixing, they would have just casually charged me and pretended nothing happened.
