Best espresso (blend only) and iced Matcha latte we found in Ithaca. Quick service and beautiful shop. Nice tables outside, part of a cool development with other unique stores. A bit more expensive than other coffee shops we tried in town, but worth the price if you are looking for a third-wave café. They feature multiple local roasters.
Good coffee but really impersonal service… every time I come here to order I get the attitude that the servers feel they are doing me a huge favor by taking my order…. esp the female server… not even telling me when I can pay for my drink or when it’s done and just standing there in dead silence even when I ask a question… dunno what I did to piss em off 😅good product but not even the hippest coffee shops in NYC get by with this level of attitude anymore!
I havent had coffee here, but the hot cocoa was great. Place is pretty small inside - four 2-seater tables and a few higher chairs along the counter. Can sit outside when the weather is nice though, or get it to go. A few pastries for sale as well, and of course coffee, espresso, hot teas, lattes, hot cocoa.
Howard Schultz and AOC had a love child and named it Press Cafè.
Best coffee in ithaca!
Oh wow theres actually one coffee shop in ithaca that knows coffee.Small and chic fantastically simple. Come here for that really good drink you seek.
Nice place for a Coffee
Cute little spot. Their mocha was tasty, but didnt seem very caffeinated. Unsure if this is a coffee beverage or not...should specify
Visiting from out of town location was perfect and the coffee was amazing! The Cafe was quaint and clean. My new favorite coffee shop when I visit. I must place to stop for all your coffee needs! ☕️
My girlfriend and I visited over a year ago. We still talk about how amazing the iced coffee was!
The only true to form coffeehouse left. Focused on great tasting coffee drinks, with friendly service and cozy atmosphere
I have no doubt you will receive a tasty and quality espresso-based drink when you visit here. When the weather is nice, and the large overhead door is open, you cannot beat the ambiance of Press Bay Alley.I have oftentimes, however, found the service to be impersonal: no eye contact, no smiles, and more than once my finished drink was put up on the counter without the barista announcing it -- which is common courtesy in most coffee shops. Finally, the cafe is very small, as well as the tables and chairs being petite. For this reason, its a decent place to sit with a phone, a book, or to have a conversation with a friend, but its not suitable as a space to get work done with a laptop or to sit with a larger group.
Undoubtedly the best espresso or coffee shop in Ithaca. Small shop, but big flavor. A new staple downtown.
Totally acceptable coffee--we got coffee here both mornings we were in Ithaca because it was just that good. Single-origin drip and excellent flat white with cool decor and fresh, locally roasted beans for sale are what every coffee shop should be. Ill be back for sure next time Im in Ithaca.
This is a very cool, upscale though low key place. Barrista was very friendly and helpful.
Great coffee and help from the staff. Id love to come back in the summer and see the garage doors open! Im sure its really nice!
This is the newest coffee shop in town and I hope it is here for a while. On sunny days youll need sunglasses to sit and enjoy anything, because the wonderful, giant windows provide no shade (it is BRIGHT). The internet is BLAZING fast, and the drinks are delicious. Its a small spot but very reliable, and Press Bay Alley (where it lives) it also a great spot.
I got the rhubarb fruit bar, it was very good! Also got a vanilla iced latte, which was alright, kinda bitter. Cafe has limited seating, so we had to stand. Barista was not at all friendly towards me, but maybe I was just giving off bad vibes because she did make conversation with the woman behind me.
Great place, good people, good coffee. Appreciate the local offerings and atmosphere as well.
Excellent coffee, delicious snacks, knowledgable and friendly staff!
Coffees fantastic. Menu has some great options. Nice, breezy location. Two folks behind the counter were not as nice. Shame. I had two simple questions and I was annoying them.
(Sigh). Sometimes. . . sometimes I get nostalgic and yearn to re-live all the mistreatment from all the cafes of Portland so I defy my therapist and come here.
I liked their brewed coffee. Lots of natural light - a good place to read.
Coffee is good. Not much else.
Nice and cosy little place... sometimes it’s packed but most of the times they are quite efficient too.
Pleasant. Calm and sunny location. Discovered that back door exit from SS office opens into Press Alley!Good scones.
Good well-made espresso drinks, a very respectable selection baked goods (scones, bars, muffins, etc), and a small, easy-going space. Modern and clean. We held a conversation and it was not noisy or echoey, which is nice compared to some of the other options downtown. Tables are small: You could fit either one persons laptop, or three peoples coffees, but thats about it. Next time Im on the commons and think, why is there no coffee shop on the commons? Ill have to remember that Press Café is a good option and only a block away. The shop itself does *not* have a bathroom. I think you can use the clown college bathroom next door, correct me if Im wrong?
Bright, small, unique space with whats probably the best espresso in Ithaca. Friendly staff who really know their coffee.
Gluten-free scones!!! Cool baristas! Excellent coffee!
An airy minimal coffee shop
Awesome little coffee shop, barista was friendly and helpful. Coffee was good.
The best coffee shop ambiance in Ithaca. Its esspresso is only second to alley cat cafe (however it bugged me that a cortado was served in a cappuccino cup). Despite my light critique of the press cafes esspresso, after a tour of all of Ithacas cafes it remains my favorite. A strong 4/5.
Clean, modern cafe with great coffee and service.
Maca Mocha? Damiana mocha? Awesome! Great coffee, clean, comfortable location, nice ambiance, good baristas. Its the nicest coffee spot in Ithaca.
Best coffee in town
Warmth, small space with large heart
Quiet clean friendly cafe for delicious coffee.
Good coffee.. Quiet..
My most favorite coffee shop in town.
Best coffee in town
Really good coffee and friendly service
One of the better espresso bars in the area using locally roasted beans with a friendly and skilled staff. A few pastries to choose from, but i havent tried them.
Great coffee. Limited seating.
My local go to great people, great coffee!
The coolest spot in Ithaca
My favorite coffee shop in Ithaca with that hipster vibe that we all admittedly crave every once in a while.
Coffee is small but you get art
Good espresso and coffee offerings.
Good, good coffee.
Nice place, great coffee.
Overpriced trendy. Coffee is nothing special.
