The aroma of their delicious fresh cooking fills the air and you just can’t help but crave everything on their menu!!! NEVER judge a store by its storefront because it appears small in the outside as you drive by, but once you step inside Alasafa is anything but. Everyone is incredibly kind too, highly recommend you stop by they are in a shopping center on South Mason Rd. can be a bit hard to notice so be sure you look for the sign if your are headed north towards Katy Freeway it will be on your right. They have such a wonderful selection and today we stocked up on all our favorites!

I went on a mission today to find some Halal sausage for a dish Im making for a friend. After driving to 3 other stores I stopped in here and they had exactly what I needed. I dont normally shop at these small markets, but I would say the selection was very good compared to the others I saw. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Thanks!

Dad or owner looks a bit mean. I had a bad return answer today about the food I bought. Wo rude to talk to customer like that.Its a little over price but halal. I miss Souq which was many variety and cheap meat.

Be careful they charge you more than price, always check your Receipt and your bank account.

Very unfriendly staff and no precautions being taken with wearing masks. On top of it they are even exposing customers by asking them to roll windows down without wearing a mask during curbside pickup. Curbside pickup here is bottom on list in how the trunks are banged hard and how orders are mixed up creating double trips, having to deal with attitude on top as if the customer has done mistake. They have good meat and with good customer service they can really be a good store to return if they can fix these issues.

Was very disappointed how we bought Half lamb and it was not fresh. Upon going back to Alsafa the owner told me that no one else complained about the meat. Felt like it was mishandled and owner seemed like he did not care.. On other occasions purchased out of date food.

I would never go to this place again. The owner is very rude, he treated me and my friend badly .He also didnt answer any questions related to the meat. I dont recommend this place.

Alsafa is ok if u need something urgently but many product are past expiration date.Last time bought some lamb very disappointed. My shoe was softer than the lamb and its pricey.Sweets are very old.

Ordered for curbside pickup, they gave me beef when i asked for goat. I had to call them and give them a heads up of the situation and drive 10 miles to return the meat they wrongly delivered.When i call the store once i reach i get the response I am very busy, please wait in a very rude tone. Then the very inconsiderate owner rudely walks to my car and starts banging on my trunk and windows and yells what is wrong with the order. HE WAS NOT WEARING A MASK and demands i roll down my windows. When i explain him how he screwed up my order, he picks up beef from my trunk and bangs it close behind him.This was one of the worst experiences ive had and the owner himself doesnt follow basic covid hygiene procedures.

I bought dates before pandemic. When I opened was full of bugs and cockroaches. After a while I went to return. But they did not accept. They guy saw I had mask and gloves but came to my face without mask and told me because you opened we cannot accept. I am wondering how I should see the bugs when it is closed. I should have read the reviews before purchasing. There are many reviews mentioning they sell low quality and expired stuff.

I would call and voice my complaints, but I dont feel that would make a difference, so Im leaving this right here for you to read. I called in yesterday to order a mixed grill. I order it all the time from delivery and its only 10.99, yet for some reason I was taxed a special price of 15.99. I really did not appreciate that as your loyal customer. Secondly, I have a Gluten Allergy, and when I called I told the person I was Gluten free. Somebody put vermicelli in my rice and I didnt notice until after I ate it and it made me sick. The person didnt seem to listen to me when I said that, but I didnt know they would put pasta into my rice either, so I didnt think it was a big deal. Its frustrating when someone doesnt care about responsibily serving you food. I cant logically always eat at home, and this was a good choice for my medical diet, as I am sick. I dont think I will be back, because I feel a certain level of betrayal in the relationship. This has certainly affected me physically and emotionally. I dont want my food to harm me again, and I really dont understand why you would charge me extra like that. Especially when you are ill you have to think of how you are spending your money... Hoping you understand my perspective.

I went into Alsafa today (07/05/15) and had an excellent experience. I was searching for fresh made hummus (not like what you buy in major chain groceries here).I know the shop is owned by a couple and Im assuming it was the wife who was there.She was such a pleasant and lovely person to meet. She showed me where I could get the hummus and we talked more afterwords.I can truly appreciate a small mom and pop shop who tries to know their customers, no matter their background (you do not have to be Muslim obviously to enjoy the delicious variety of Eastern food and staples they provide, so do not be wary to try them out! :D)The real test of taste happened at home. The hummus was SO creamy, fresh, and I loved it.Thank you so much to Alsafa for the lovely experience. I will be back.

Good for quick groceries. I really wish they had better cuts for steaks. The current onces are too thin. Its be really convenient since I am a Katy resident. Price wont be a concern if the steak cut is the right size.

This place does not care about public health. NONE of the employees/owners wear face masks at all.

Our family has been shopping at Alsafa since they opened. They have a great variety of middle eastern foods, vegetables and fresh pita bread. I believe they provide a much-needed service to Katy residents that dont want to drive into Houston to get their ingredients for middle eastern cooking. The staff is always helpful and polite, making the customer feel welcome. I also buy my fresh ground beef for kibble nayee, knowing that the butcher understands we are making a raw meat dish. I highly recommend this store.

Very Bad quality of chicken....I bought a chicken yesterday, it was an unpleasant or strong odor. The Owner was very very rude and he doesnt bother to listen. I could have gone to FDA instead of arguing with them. This is not matter of money its more than that. Please think/check before you purchase.

We are Asian Muslims and we go there mostly for halal meat and chicken. Employees are friendly. The meat department does not always maintain the time according to its schedule. Overall we are happy and visit there when in need of meat and chicken.

OKAY ..i got a reply from someone here who doesn’t know enough to write a 1 full correctly meaningful sentence ..I didn’t understand what is (, sea pad thank ...taking you, ), !!!!!!!! 🤷‍♀️ 😳😳😳 ...😂 what’s in the Worldnew customer at this place ...I’ve decided to trytheir grill chicken 🍗...and it worth it actually untill today which was the 6th chicken i get from them ...Which prepared by a RUDE, lazy lady ...I ordered my chicken over the phone as usual and asked to have it the same way, uncut, moist and clean, with their nice salad 🥗 which i liked it ..I got my chicken smashed, i found bones inside, griller was not clean..i got my chicken covered with black remains from previous grilled stuff ..the salad was few ugly prices of tomato she threw some big ugly shaped prices of lettuce..., while i used to like the way how they make the salad 🥗 with cucumbers 🥒, nice organized lettuce cuts with bell pepper and tomato seasoned with delicious mix of lemon and olive oil ....This lady messed up my lunch and day ...If i see her next time in charge I’ll leave without ordering...shame 😡I don’t know why owners won’t look at the people they are hiring ..it’s your business man ...

Well stocked inventory, however with the size of the store and the things they have, there is very little counter space it put your things on and to bag them. They really need to renovate some things and make proper check out aisles. Entrance and exit door is very crowded. There are a lot of things that they are selling on the counters. If the owners want to make a small store feel, put less things in it. Some areas look over crowded. Overall it is a good place to go to for emergency ethnic grocery shopping once a while, and get already lightly over priced pre cut halal meat.

I was the only customer,at the time I went, but I had to request the guy at the counter multiple times to put his mask on his face. He did so after arguing about it. I expect rules to be followed when I go for shopping.

I shop at Alsafa when I want to make an exotic Indian curry for dinner. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable of their items and produce!

My husband, kids, and I have been eating here for years, in fact we joke that our son (whom is now five years old) was pretty much grown on Alsafas kebabs, gyros, hummus, and naan! Wonderful food, great selection of imported goods, and very reasonable prices. Love this place.

Theres fat chunks in the beef swarma. It tasted vinegary and sour. I personally felt like it tasted a little spoiled. The fries were over salty.

Too expensive! beef shawarma has too much fat in it, I always have to throw away half of the meat, all because of fat chunks. they need to clean out the fat chunks before they put it on the skewer for shawarma. Chicken shawarma is really good. Gyro is okay too. Fries are the best and the garlic sauce no words, really good taste. They were generous with the fries before but recently they got stingy with it. They need to use gloves when preparing the food, the Hispanic lady doesnt use gloves all the time. I go here a lot, they need to train her correctly.

Third class store ... please be careful as the store person sometimes keeps outdated and expired items and if you forgot to look at the date and it turns out to be expire he wont even gonna refund or anything. But just imagine, how come he have expire products in his store and hes still operating this is pathetic.

AVOID THIS PLACE IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR HEALTH. THEY SELL EXPIRED FOOD. I visited Alsafa Store randomly to buy two 2-liter bottles of Coke and Diet Coke on May 31, 2013. It was only in the evening at the dinner table when we found out that the sodas are both expired. Now heres the messed up part: the expiration dates read May 20, 2012 and May 27, 2013. One was over a year expired, and the other one a few days. God knows what they use to make their shawarmas and other food items. STAY AWAY, PEOPLE!
