Ive been going here for my vehicles for a few years now. They have been great until now. I was quoted $98/hr and 2 hrs max to replace a rear impact bar and one bracket that would have required welding. They had me procure the parts from Toyota which I did and paid for directly. Needless to say the bill for the labor came to $300 and change. They told me that the bracket did not need replacing (that is the hard part). What was replaced (impact bar) required a simple removal of the bumper panel and 6 nuts. After contesting the amount it was dropped to $212 which is slightly more than quoted for both the impact bar and bracket replacement. They open at 8am and I got a call at 9:20am saying my vehicle was ready. There was not even close to 2 hrs labor. I feel taken and will consider other auto repair options in the future. Three stars is given here in consideration of past positive experiences.
Great service and honesty. I couldn’t have asked for anything more
I went to get my brakes checked out. The receptionist was extremely nice. When the mechanic was done looking, he told me that I didnt need new brakes, but new tires. He could easily have lied to me about it, to make a quick buck, but he didnt. I appreciate the honesty, and I am going to be returning to them.
I made an appointment to get my brakes inspected. I wasn’t expecting them to get the brakes fix right then and there BUT they did! Jesse worked on my car and he did a WONDERFUL job! Everyone there was super pleasant and very kind. I’m definitely coming back.
I go here for my annual car inspection - always friendly! I love that they also look up our car for active recalled parts too. Easy to make an appointment - got in the same day! Thank you
I called every other day for 3 weeks to see if I could get an estimate for front struts for my jeep as they had been highly recommended by a friend.Every time I was told we will call you tomorrow. Finally I drove in and asked to talk to some one and was told we dont have time for that Ill take your information and have the owner call you, by a woman behind the desk.Never received a call.
I cant say enough about these people. they really are awesome and have gone above and beyond to help me with my vehicle.
Nothing they touched turned to gold but got the work I needed done fast.
Every visit Ive had there, very helpful staff, fast service.
My clutch on my AC Pump died. They got me in that exact afternoon and let me borrow a loaner vehicle to do some errands while they replaced the pump. Only took a few hours for it to be replaced (my vehicle can be stubborn). Price was decent value especially considering they took me right in short notice.
Some of the most honest service around
Awesome service. Driving from Connecticut and exhaust pipe broke. They took me right in and fix the problem right away. Professional service and very nice people. 5 stars
I needed a car inspection on a Saturday while I was in town, Valvoline turned me away stating they had their last customer of the day in the bay (it was 3:20 and they close at 6). I called Midas around 3:30 and asked if they would inspect my car, its relatively new with very low mileage. Even though they closed at 4, they said they could do it. I was in and out in about 10 minutes! Very impressed with customer service and ease of visit.
Very accommodating, no soprises, very thorough with their work. Been a regular for 5 years.
After numerous visits over the last 6 years, I think it is about time that I write a long overdue review of the great crew at Midas in Keene. I have two cars well past their prime and Mark and his crew have always done an excellent job of taking care of them. Today was typical. Yesterday I called and explained that my brakes were making a grounding noise and would probably need rotors and pads. He made an appointment for me for today and everything was taken care of as promised. He even found out that the pads were put on a couple of years ago and were covered under a life warranty savings me a good piece of change. Good people and great service.
I thought I needed brakes all around. Made an appointment for the next day which was awesome. Next day comes and the tech tells me after the car on lift that i dont need brakes just a minor adjustment. He saved me hundreds. He could have just changed brakes and not said anything. Honesty. I like that. We need more of that. Thats what Midas did for me. Thanks Midas!
Always done quickly, waiting area is clean and quiet, and staff are friendly.
Midas has always ben shiesty
Outstanding customer service. This is my go to maintenance shop.
This businees lost money due to covid 19.now the need to make up for the loss by stealing money out of hard working people. Over charged for drums 120 at auto zone and got charge 372 not including labor. You want to get ripped off come on down
Awesome staff. Ive taken my car here since I got it and theyve been super helpful, even after I started doing my own work. They know their stuff and are happy to give advice on cars.
Today, I stopped into your Keene New Hampshire location. I was on a trip with my 9 year old twins to Madam Sherri Forest and noticed after leaving my car was making a terrible noise. I wanted to make sure it was safe seeing I had my kids in the car with me so I stopped in and asked how much it would be to have them look at it quickly (although being it a day hiking trip I left my cards home and only had a little cash on me) the gentleman behind the counter told me he usually charges 49.99 for the service, but he would gladly take it for a spin down the road for me and see if he could figure it out. He quickly took my keys and drove down the street. Moments later came back to tell me I had a rock lodged under the rim and to give him a minute and hed see if his manager would allow him to blow it out quickly free of charge. He came back out and took it in to the shop and worked quickly while I went in and spoke with the manager briefly still frazzled from thinking the car was broken. The manager at this location was incredibly friendly and helped calm me down even offered me a cup of tea while my kids and I waited. 5 minutes later and we were on our way back to Maine. I usually dont post to businesses to give feed back but the kindness your employees showed me today, made me believe there are good people left in this world! I sadly did not get the gentlemans name who drove my car and fixed it for me but the man is amazing as well. Thank you so much to the guys who helped me out today! Yall are incredible!
I have been coming to this location for a few years. I usually only come for oil changes, but I always make an appointment first. Sometimes I arrive 10 min before my appointment and it seems like they are done with the oil change before my appointment was even supposed to start! They never try to sell me unneeded items or tell me my car has issues when it does not. The last time I went, I needed a new oil cap. The manager called the dealership, sent an employee to get the cap and had it back at Midas in no time. They didnt charge me any extra, just the cost from the dealership. I love this place! When my mother moved here, I suggested getting her oil changes here too and she has more great things to say than I do.Good people, great service, wonderful and dependable work.
Courteous. Friendly. Fast. Was told at Valvoline that Mini Coopers are too tough to work on. We tell people to just start calling mechanics to see who will do it I decided to just drive to Midas to see if they would, or if they could point me in the right direction. Immediately got in. Sat with 2 other customers and had a great 40 minutes of conversation! Staff was very friendly and helpful. I will definitely go back for oil changes and any other needs! Thanks!
Honest people who make you feel like you are at home while they fix your car. Mark was great and upfront about the whole process, including pricing. Will make this my go-to spot for all of my repairs.
I used them for used vehicle inspection before purchase. It was cheaper than I expected and they had 4 mechanics inspect the car simultaneously while I watched, very thorough and informative, confirmed all alleged work from dealer and then some, and found one minor area of rust on exhaust that allowed me to negotiate final price. They basically green-lighted the purchase 6 months ago and I have had no issues since then. Top notch service.
I used to bring my cars to the Midas in Lebanon, NH and was always very satisfied with the service I got there. Even if they charge a bit more than some other places (so Im told), I never had anything to complain about regarding their results or how they treated me. They never tried to buffalo me into getting services I didnt need, and their work always held up.Im glad to say my experience with the Midas in Keene, NH was the same. I brought two cars in for mileage-based dealer-recommended maintenance. One car (which Ive never brought back to the dealer for service) understandably needed pretty much every recommended replacement, but the other, which weve been diligent about maintaining on the dealers schedule, turned out to pretty much just need the oil change. They could have gone down the list and replaced everything whether it needed it or not, never telling me, and I wouldnt have known any better, but instead the mechanic told me that the car was in immaculate condition and nothing needed to be done.He did mention the brakes were coming up on needing replacement, but didnt pressure me at all, and even removed the wheels to measure the pads and assured me that it wasnt a pressing need. Another thing I love about Midas: they will bring you in and show you what is going on. They dont walk over with a part that could be from your car or from some box of faulty parts (like some quick-change oil places do with air filters, ahem) to try and trick you into thinking something is wrong. They explain to you what youre looking at, what it means, and what if anything should be done. All of this, and I was only charged for parts and labor on the oil change. As long as I get service like this, I dont care if Joe Blow down the street charges less; Im sticking with Midas.
Called to have our exhaust repaired, they called me and gave 2 options. I could replace the catalytic converter or they could weld a small crack and save me more than $500.00. He also suggested to replace the split before the 2 mufflers with a sleeve because was ready to go next. They could have sold me a full muffler replacement because thats how bad it sounded instead they where honest and helpful and replaced only what was needed. Our total service bill was less than $300.00 and I will do business with this Midas again. Their integrity is rare now a days when most places try to get the most out of every customer.
What a great little treasure this shop is! I called at 4:30pm on Tuesday, they got me in at 8:30am the very next day. Everyone on duty was AMAZINGLY friendly (extra points go to Rose, who was pleasant company while they were working on my rig).Long story short, I WILL be back here. They were professional, friendly, welcoming, and really made sure I understood what was happening.
We live in concord and had a car emergency on our way through Keene and called Midas. They squeezed us in on a Saturday with zero notice and even let me borrow an employees personal vehicle while mine was being worked on. Every person there was helpful and nice and the prices were better than I expected. I strongly recommend this business. Thank you for saving our weekend!
This garage should change there name for Midas ro rip-off. There slogan should be we will steal you blind when you not lookimg
Great people. Great service
Decent prices..always honest with us.
Incredible service! We needed to get our car inspected before heading out of town and no one was able to help us, except Midas! The entire staff was wonderful. The waiting room was clean and tidy, theres plenty of parking spaces in the parking lot, and the service was not only super fast but extremely pleasant. We showed up only an hour before closing and Rose at the front desk worked her magic to make our dreams come true. Again everyone was wonderful, but Rose was the star of the show. She was knowledgeable, efficient, professional, and very friendly. I have to admit, Midas was not my first choice, but after this experience they go right to the top of the list! Thank you everyone at Midas for all your help!
This Midas shop had the opportunity replace my entire exhaust yet because they were honest, I walked away with a very small bill. The day after the repair was done they called me to ask if everything was good with the repair. Im very happy with this Midas shop. They did good work and they are honest.
Let me start off by saying that I am from Albany New York and I have no problem taking a two-and-a-half-hour drive to service my vehicle at this location I know when I drop off my vehicle it is in good hands Ive been having a problem with a few of my vehicles and everytime I get them back theres always a different problem except for this garage they were able to diagnose the problem and fix it I am not just talking about small things I had them removed the whole rear end of my vehicle and fix it staff was great mechanic definitely knew what he was talking and they had the ability to fix it about so special thanks to mark you definitely have a returning customer
Went in today for an inspection. Had a long conversation with the manager John. Very knowledgeable and helpful about what might need some work in the next year or so--to keep an eye out for. Hes not looking for you to spend every last cent in your account, just to be safe on the road, using reliable parts that wont break in 6 months. Recommend it for college kids in the area. Dont go to the most advertised garages and get overcharged. Midas in Keene is where its at. Also Im a grad student--so I get needing professional work at a reasonable price and the importance of safety and the necessity for a running vehicle.Very reasonable, very nice, one of the best mechanic experiences I have had in a long while.A+ rating. Keep up the good work!
Clean, efficient and socially distanced.
I love coming to this shop. From Sandy at the front desk to the guys doing the job and even Vern the owner (who also works) Ive always had a great experience. Granted the lobby/waiting area could definitely use a make over or remodel but the coffee is always fresh. I had just bought a car (used) and brought it in for inspection, they told me and showed me what it needed and then promptly and expertly replaced/repaired what it need.Thank you all you all combined make one hell of a team
Was on my way driving from NH to NY and happened to stop along the way at this specific Midas to make sure my nearly 20 year old car was safe to continue its journey. Felt welcomed and cared for. They inspected my car quickly and let me on my way. Great people :)
Good place
Excellent Service as usual. Would definitely recommend it to other people.
They were absolute live savers and so nice!!!! I highly suggest coming here for any car issues. Great people and even better service.
There great! Every time I bring my vehicle there its quick service in an out and very friendly people!
I thought the people were really nice and have gone there a few times. A little disappointed with this last trip as they told me my car would need $500- $600 worth of work, to have my entire back brakes done, when all I needed was brake shoes. A $40 fix.
They took me right in. Not much of a wait.im happy with their work
We got ripped off on drums and shiocks
Only place in Keene that was willing to change my oil without an appointment made days prior. Highly recommend over other shops that are only concerned with getting your car in and out the shop as quickly as possible.
Great shop great staffRecommend to anyone
Open sign flashing in window 5:25 p.m. I pull in walk up to the door lock tight nobody around. Doesnt seem like a reputable business to me all. The lights on inside no sign on door dont recommend to anyone.
Have had nothing but great service and care from them. I have a European car, American car and Asian car, all taken care of, all done for reasonable money, on time and with a smile. Couldnt ask for better experience!
In my experience, I consider this an exemplar autoshop!Very good customer service, one of the fellas offers me discounts on regular basis out of the blue, and I really appreciate it! I have never been to an autoshop that does that, I finnaly found an autoshop that I can count on long-term.Theyre more reasonably priced than other autoshop I have been to in the area which is a big plus for me, especially when you top it with the customer service they have, the guy always offers coffee and stuff, but I dont drink coffee so I feel bad for turning him down everytime.I wish to mention their Midas touch so to say, they put the receipt and paperwork in this nice looking envelope, I like that a lot, unlike other places this feels like that extra mile on part of their customer service, but this is just me, this little gesture weighted heavy when I had to decide for the next autoshop.
They misdiagnosed my fuel pump failing, thinking it was a leaking air manifold. The vehicle was diagnosed quickly at the dealer and hasnt had any issues since. I complained about the misdiagnosis and they were unwilling to provide even a partial refund. They are good for brakes, and cheap inspections, but dont go here for general repairs.
Great service, great people that work there
Wonderful service, above exectations, thank you
I had the unpleasant experience of speaking to a woman named Sandy today. I asked how much a tune up would cost. She told me it would be 50 to just check to see if I need a tune up. I said I had the computer checked and knew I needed new spark plugs, wires ect. She rudely said well anyone can just come in and say they need spark plugs, we do our own check and its 49.99 I said ok... if I come in and have it checked out and it says I need the tune up about how much will that be. I then attempted to tell her what kind of truck I drove and she cut me off mid sentace and says can you hold on a min?. I waited on hold for over 5 mins until I realized she wasnt coming back on the line. My advice go to autozone have them check the computer and change your spark plugs yourself for close to what Midas charges you to check.
By the book.
I went there for oil change. Now its leaking from drain plug. so went back and told them whats going on. They told me to come back after couple of days and the sad thing is they didnt even look at the leak. Not good not happy..... my car is still leaking oil.... good thing that they over filled. Look at the pictures...
The crew at this garage is amazing. Friendly, efficient and professional. I live and Southern Vermont and drive to Boston regularly for air travel. On my most recent trip my car started shaking violently at high speeds. Of course it was right around the time that most mechanics were closing up shops. I went to three other places and turned away at all three before coming to Midas. They fixed the problem (seized caliber) and didn’t even gripe about me coming in moments before they closed. Thanks to them, I made my flight! Thanks Midas!
Friendly employees, competitive prices
I dont care where in New Hampshire you live, you need to go here. Adam is the most amazing person in life. Hes done so much for me, even not charging me for his labor or random checkups at times. Even when I moved from Keene to Manchester, I still drove 90 mins to him because Manchester Midas messed up my brakes so bad that I couldnt trust anyone else. I just move to Arizona too and I am STILL calling him because three different auto shops here have no idea whats exactly wrong with my car. Adam hasnt seen my car in a month and still remembers everything about it. I will be calling him for the rest of my life, if he lets me.
They take great care of your vehicle
Just an overall pleasant visit the staff really goes over the top to make sure that the customer service is 199% ! Price is very compatible with others!
Went to them when no one else was able to look at the oil leak under my Honda Civic. They found that it was the gasket on the oil filter that let go. Only charged me for the oil change, not the diagnostic
Terrible Experience--They blew my engine.Went in to have muffler diagnosed. Mechanic said my car had a broken manifold but could not fix right now because end of day-bring back tommorrow. Leaving that day-mechanic forgot to re-hook up sensors and parts, nuts- he disconnected while checking muffler and car overheated on way home. Had to have car towed back to them after waiting an hour on the highway. Car was towed to have that sensors fixed next day and then they replace the manifold--they proceeded to put a young new kid on my broken exhaust manifold after I was told proudly that his head mechanic would be working on it just 5 minutes prior. I asked what was up and he said his head mechanic had to leave for family reasons but his next best guy would handle it.I watched the kid through the window for hours trying to fix my car--I could see the frustration in his face as he threw tools back at his tool box. At one point I had to ask the manager to have the kid unhook my battery cables as he was welding stuff in my engine cavity to my New engine- which is bad and can burn out electronics if the battery is hooked up while doing so.. 9 Hours later after waiting after business hours I was finally ready to leave and the manager says to me. I am embarassed for the workmanship you recieved, I should have worked on it myself--I am firing the kid tomorrow anyways.. I left only to hear my muffler still making the same noise and even louder!!! I call manager next day and he told me to bring it back in. I brought it back next day and they told me my flex pipe had a hole in it???--Could you not determine that when you did the original inspection??Waited that day for 4 hours for them to work on it. Paid another 211.00 and left.Car never ran the same for the next few months but ran--I called manager up and told him the car was still making the loud noise and that I had it checked by Saab and that the manifold was still broken--he told me to bring it back in to keene again (which by the way) is more then an hour for me to get to from my home. Shortly after my engine blew--when inspecting the blown Turbo on the exhaust manifold side there was found an old manifolf stud with Nut on it nut sitting chewed up in the turbo housing--- these were set in there by the kid mechanic while working on my exhaust manifold he forgot to take them out before reinstalling manifold to the turbo after he left it there.I even called the manager from Michigan on vacation with my family asking if I could take it to a Midas place locally to have it fixed as we had decreased power while driving. He said to me on the phone that I could only bring it back to them in Keene as it was a special project now and other Midas dealersips would not honor their work. I made it home at 45mph for 900 miles.I did end up bringing it to Midas in Concord, NH-- not telling them Midas of Keene had worked on it and the mechanic there said it was the worst patch job he had ever seen and went on to tell me that who ever worked on it snapped three other studs. And the flex pipe installed was welded and installed improperly.STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE OF BUSINESS.
Need a car? Just go to midas in keene and apparently they will release a vehicle to anybody! Even people who arent the registered owner or who dropped the car off in the first place!
They charge labor now so that a a bummer, its ok but a bit pricey
Horrible place that has no integrity. Do not look for actual customer service. Go there only in an emergency. Way too expensive, usually misdiagnosed problems, extra materials, extra labor, extra trips to get it worked on etc... AVOID THIS PLACE!
I have always liked this place but not today. They did work on the exhaust and damage the shield on the o2 sensor and didnt say anything. It started to make noise so we looked and discovered it. Now I have to replace that too. Thanks for nothing.
They let you make payments on needed repairs under a mechanic lien.
Takes hours go to swanzy car and truck
Very friendly staff and quality work!
