I had two cars needing repair. An older Chrysler needed a wheel spindle and brake rotors. Lonestar obtained the parts quickly and did outstanding work! The second car is a BMW and they diagnosed several items needed repair. The work was quick and reasonable...probably half or less than what a BMW dealer would charge. I recommend Lonestar for all your automotive repairs.

I typically like to work on my vehicles myself but Id been hearing about Lonestar Elite from a couple of my buddies who are mechanically inclined and still take their vehicles to Billy!I notified Lonestar Elite of a humming sound on my 2010 Prius and asked when was a good time to drop it off. Id done some research and suspected I needed a new bearing but the wheel didnt rock like most do when this is needed so I wanted a specialist to validate. Since my issue wasnt urgent and I didnt need a loaner, I dropped off 2 days later on Wed at 930am and an hour later I had an estimate texted to me with details.Left side rear hub and bearing needs replaced. Right side also making noise. Left side could be repaired same day but warehouse only had Left so I asked if they could do the right side next day. Billy took care of it and I picked up my car next day @ 230 and the noise is completely gone!I was very happy with the price and thrilled that I no longer need to shout to hear myself think while driving. Ill probably still do some work myself but the pricing is very reasonable and I fully believe Lonestar Elite is that rare gem of a find- an honest mechanic!Ill definitely be keeping Lonestar Elite in mind for any future work I need done!

My cars battery was shot and I needed to get it replaced quick. I called Billy at about 1:00 in the afternoon. He was able to order (replacement was not generic) and install the new battery that same afternoon! I was in and out of his shop in about 20 minutes.Its service like this that keeps me coming back.

The first time I took my truck there, it was just to get the air conditioning checked, and I expected it to cost a lot of money but he did not tried to upsell/charge, or price gouge us. This shop does good work but decided they are going to price gouge customers. Who charges their customers the 3% to process a credit card? I’m guessing they are doing this to help pay for that fancy new Mustang.They also charge to fix work that they didn’t do properly in the first place and only mention this when it’s time to pay the bill. I won’t be going back here and I’m not the first person this has happened. You were warned.

I have taken multiple vehicles to Lonestar over numerous years and have had nothing but great experiences. The shop is diligent, knowledgeable, does good work, and very competitive rates.

I got quotes from other places. They didnt even come close to the other shops. Lonestar Elite blew everyone else completely out of the water. Their price always is more than fair (honestly, Im often shocked at how much better their pricing is). Their work is absolutely top notch (they do better work than even the most expensive shops). Communication is excellent.

I have an older car, not one of these shiny new modern pieces. But it works and gets me from point A to point B and its mine! Recently, I was running in to an issue with my starter, in that it needed replacement. I called up Lone Star Elite and Billy gave me a tow company to use, and we brought it in. They were able to diagnose that the problem wasnt just the starter, but also my flywheel. Not only that, but as Im not the most mechanically inclined, he explained how they work together and what my problem was. And I appreciate that! The team got me fixed up and on the road. Not only that, they showed me the parts after being replaced and I could see exactly what they explained. Not only that one of the mechanics gave me a tip about a carburetor I could use on my older engine that would give me better gas mileage and response. That was free. You can bet if I get the money, Ill be calling Lone Star Elite. These guys were honest, up front, thorough, and did the job well. The price was beyond fair. I would never hesitate to use Billy and his team again, or refer any one else. I am glad to have found a mechanic close to home I can trust.

Recommend by a friend and family members.Brought my car in to Lonestar for the first time on a busy Friday afternoon to address some ongoing issues with the brakes. The brakes had been worked on a few times before at another shop without any long-term resolution. The team at Lonestar listened to my concerns, were very informative, and I did not feel taken advantage of (rare). They test-drove the car and told me the issues were coming from the front brakes only and we agreed to go ahead and replace those pads and rotors. I received a very reasonable estimate and scheduled a drop-off for the following Wednesday. Brought the car in at 8am and it was ready for pickup by 12. They even went out of their way to work with AutoZone, where I had my brake pads warrantied, and swap them out. THAT is customer service. Now Im cruising around on smooth, noise-free brakes for the first time in a long time. Very happy customer.I know where Ill be bringing my car into from now on! Thanks, gentlemen!

Im a perfectionist, so often its hard for others to meet my expectations. Billy & his staff not only met my expectations, they exceeded them. Here’s an example: any time you get an oil change, they put a sticker telling you when the next one is due. In the past, mine have always said in 3000 miles (this increases their business). My owners manual & the Honda website say 5000 miles for my driving conditions. Billy put on a sticker that says 5000 miles. So this is my first 100% honest oil change in 50 years. Billy was also honest in other ways including shopping around for the best prices for parts and also giving me EXCELLENT prices on labor. And to top it all off, they provided fast & efficient service. What a good feeling I now have knowing I have a reliable mechanic to pamper my old Honda that has 200,000 miles on it.

After my mechanic of 20 years retired, I was thrust back in to worrying where to take our vehicles and not get screwed over. Following several referrals from our community Facebook page, and my own online research, I decided to give Lonestar Elite a chance.I needed a brake job on my 1999 daily driver so I dropped it off. They looked the car over, confirmed my determination that it needed new pads and rotors, as well as recommended other legitimate items that needed attention, like older cars do. They didnt pressure or try to up-sell me but wanted to make me aware, which I appreciate.They did the brake job in a timely manner, for a reasonable cost, explained everything well, and did it all with great customer service.As with my former mechanic, trust and consistency is built over time. We had to get the oil pressure sensor replaced on our Tahoe. Weve been looking for a great mechanic and we found it. The Chevrolet dealer wanted $480 to replace it. Other shops wanted $350. Called Lonestar and they said they would replace it for $143. Brought it to them and had it fixed in about an hour. Great shop. Great guys. Affordable service. Go check them out!

Billy has been my mechanic for a little over 3 years now. I have gotten quotes from other shops occasionally for different repairs and Billy is always at or below other shops prices. Very good, pricey . Its been 2 months since Ive had the oil change. The oil light came on, check the oil. It was black. I only drove 2,000 miles. They NEVER changed the oil.

Tyson and Billy (the owners) both took time to talk to me about what was going on with my AC and were upfront and honest about everything. Very reasonable price.I had initially thought that I would have to leave my car overnight but they fit me in and took care of my issue as I waited ~30-45 minutes. When I was searching for a mechanic, I came across Billy at Lonestar Elite.I, like most others, was skeptical because an Honest mechanic is hard to find. I went to him with a car that I thought both front wheel bearings were bad. It made a horrible noise. So I asked Billy to replace the parts, after 1 hour in his shop Billy called to let me know that only 1 wheel needed done.Now if this is not the MOST honest mechanic, I dont know what to say.He could of easily charged me for both and replaced only 1 side, but this by far is the most honest mechanic that I have ever found.Billy is the go to mechanic for now on!
