Great place to grab delicious coffee and pastries, including gluten free options. They have a large yard with plenty of tables with shade. One block off of the main downtown Lafayette area, so walkable to plenty of shops and restaurants. You must stop by and check it out!

Grew up in Lafayette and just discovered this gem this year. The coffee is great and I love the atmosphere. The outdoor patio is a lovely place to bring my dog to come work outside, and the inside is nice and cozy! Highly recommend!

Great atmosphere in the new location. Gorgeous patio and good vibes. The drip coffee wasnt amazing, so Im guessing it was an old batch. Wish the baby changing station was on the bottom floor rather than the second floor. Very inconvenient if you have a stroller. Otherwise friendly staff and nice local art!

The community here at the East Simpson Coffee Co is clearly a creative and connected bunch. They regularly host events here at the shop including Sip and Paints, where an instructor guides the participants through acrylic painting. Ive also attended evening dances including salsa. There is a blue grass jam regularly on Sundays around noon. As the owner, Leslie, about The Hive when you go. Its located in the back of the shop and is a venue for hosting parties. I like coming to the coffee shop in the summer when the patio is open. Its a warm and sunny place to meet friends, all through the year. Come and try them out! You will be happy you did.

One of the best coffee stops in the Tri- County area. Always a good stop if you are near Lafayette. Looking forward to the new location.

Love the vegan donuts and oat milk lattes. The owners and staff are exceptional people who care so much about the community. The rotating art is so refreshing and the event space in the back, The Hive, is perfect for parties and events. A gem in the rough!

Miss living in Lafayette mostly because of this place. Everyone who works there is warm and inviting, the space is bright and airy and comforting, and every beverage I’ve tried is top notch. Always loved to see the different local artwork they showcase too. There’s plenty of good coffee shops in Lafayette but this is the best one guys, trust me.

Such a great community place with excellent coffee drinks. They use Ozo coffee and espresso from my favorite roastery in Boulder! Yummy pastries& goodies will compliment your coffee drink. You can even get beer, wine and bubbles while checking out the different Art of local artists or listening to some live music in the evening. A wonderful place for everybody ♡

This coffee shop is so much more than that! The staff are amazing as well as the owners. Their space is filled with art and eclectic decor. Great selection of gluten free food including soup and fresh salads. Plenty of space to chat or sit peacefully. We had a fundraiser here for our family outside on the patio and it was such a beautiful time. When I’m out of town I very much miss my honey latte!!!!

This is a great place. Live music Thursday and hospitable to out of town visitors. The fellow made a mean spicy honey chai tea (hot or cold). A welcoming smile and delightful quiches! Take fruit for the road, but give this place a look! You wont be disappointed.

I like this coffee shop. It’s a bonus that it is next door to my work office. When they get the coffee order right it is amazing. The past few times they left out the syrup from my latte so it wasn’t sweetened and definitely not worth the money. I will try again and double check my drink before I leave

This is hands down my family’s favorite neighborhood spot, and we’ve been regulars since it opened. It is such a gem in our community. Delicious coffee And treats, cozy and welcoming space, great patio, wonderful staff and owners. We’ve spent hours of our lives here and they feel like family. It’s the best.

East Simpson Coffee is the best. Great atmosphere, cool events with music and artist receptions, the food trucks on the patio has been a great addition. Plus Leslie is just awesome! And on top of all that - their coffee tastes great. I highly recommend the Florentine - its a coffee hot chocolate that is a little sip of heaven!!!

Fantastic. This was my first time hanging out in Lafayette, despite having lived in BoCo for ten years. I was looking for a quiet place where I could drink coffee and catch up on work for a couple hours and thats what I found. The staff was great, the coffee was fantastic, and the ambiance was exactly what I was looking for.

I love this location - in a beautiful part of Lafayettes downtown but just a little off the more beaten path of South Public St. The space has a nice open and sunny feel. As more of a tea drinker I got the Senna (sp?) green tea which was wonderful.

This is a wonderful coffee shop, tucked away in a fantastic town. The atmosphere here is mellow, and the service is great. Get here early to grab a seat with a plug for your Mac, or sit outside and enjoy the quiet nature of Lafayette. I recommend the Honey Latte. Delicious!

Love this place. Its low key, very comfortable and super local. Staff is fun, friendly. The place is very large, with lots of space between the tables, so you can really spread out. Its artsy, with local artists stuff hanging on the walls. Theres a great patio, which is again, very roomy. Quirky without being weird.Side note: The honey latte is amazing. Its like a hot version of coffee ice cream. Dessert in a cup.

We have never actually been here for coffee, but we do attend swing dance classes here on Tuesday evening. Its a very nice venue. Cant wait for it to warm up to take advantage of their outdoor seating area.Plus, the gate to that area is made from a bike...and how funky is that?

Why would anyone with half a brain go to that Seattle based place when we have THIS place in town???The coffees and bites are fresh and delicious, and I have to think Monsanto hasnt a thing to do with anything in here.The space is welcoming, comfortable, and diverse enough I can sit wherever my current mood asks me to -Im not even a coffee junkie and nor do I live in Lafayette any longer - yet I devise a plan every week to figure out a reason to come here :)

I love this place! Its cozy, welcoming, friendly and has great coffee and eats. They have local art on the walls and local cards and bookmarks for sale making the place supportive of local artists. I have also been there in the evening for a couple of events and the place easily transforms into a great venue for events with a couple of backrooms that I had no idea existed. Even when rushed, staff is friendly and helpful. I recently tried the new location for Proper Grounds and couldnt believe how sterile it felt, especially compared to a coffee shop like East Simpson. Keep up the good work!

Wow, who knew this existed? Well, the answer is a lot of people, the place was packed, the coffee fantastic, the music sublime. Wishing we had something even close to this in Boulder. Makes me want to move to old Town Lafayette. Really, its that good.

East Simpson Coffee Company is a great coffee shop. The drip coffee is excellent. The hand crafted espresso drinks are amazing as well, well balanced, not too sweet, just enough to accentuate the flavor of the coffee. Their chai is excellent too. The service is very friendly and prompt, they pride themselves on knowing their regulars names and drinks. The selection of food and pastries they carry from local vendors have all been delicious so far too. Its a great location, with plenty of available parking, in a very old and charming building, right down to the squeaky wooden floor boards. A great place to stop in or spend the day at.

Spacious coffee shop in a quaint neighborhood with friendly service and good coffee. Our photo group meets here every month and they provide a quiet room in the back thats great for about 10-12 people. Theres plenty of seating in the main space and additional on their large outdoor patio, which theyve covered with triangular shade sails.

I had the Iced Honey Latte and it was delicious. The place is spacious and clean. I went on a weekday and it was fairly busy, but not too busy to the point where I couldnt work. The only problem was that someone took my drink when they called out the drink. I think a better system by using names would help with this problem.

I go to a lot of coffee shops. In terms of atmosphere and friendliness this place is the best. Huge outdoor patio that is quiet in the mornings. Plenty of tables and space. A high ceiling makes it feel even more spacious. A back room for even more space. Great decor. Owner and staff are incredibly friendly.

Weve had many memorable experiences at this successful small business in Old Town Lafayette. Best place to meet a friend, have a club meeting, listen to live music and enjoy great coffee & light fare - as well as wine and beer. Ive hosted and attended a number of events in the front and just recently co-hosted a birthday party in the back (The Hive) and patio. There are few small places locally where you can plan an event for 50 or so people (wedding, memorial, birthday, etc) and make it as comfy and professional as can be. THANK YOU Leslie Pomeroy and crew for making our special evening a tremendous JOY!
