I had a very positive experience when I needed legacy parts to an old hearing aid. While they couldnt confirm the fit over the phone, they welcomed me to come in and they found the parts.

I’ve been experiencing symptoms of hearing loss for quite a while, but Covid made my situation feel urgent because with masks on, I find it very difficult to understand people when they are speaking. I booked an appointment here based on the great reviews and also proximity to my house. Elizabeth was amazing. Kind, thorough, compassionate. I enjoyed her questions and the hearing test which now that I’m writing that sounds strange but I wanted data to understand what was really happening for me. I have mild hearing loss and in pursuing hearing aids to see if that will impact my quality of life. I love that the hearing aids have a 45 day trial period to make sure that they’re actually viable for your life. All in all, an amazing experience. Highly recommend!

The different procedures were clearly explained to me so I knew what to expect.The information gathering stage collated my relevant medical experience, my awareness of my hearing difficulties and was then followed by an objective hearing assessment.The outcomes were discussed very sensitivity with me. They were not what I anticipated, but on reflection, accurately reflect my hearing loss.I was given time to absorb the assessment and encouraged to ask questions. I did not feel pressured in any way and would highly recommend Family Hearing.

My kids bought me hearing aides after years of frustration living in their house only hearing minimal amounts of conversation. Every aspect of their service is exemplary. When you enter you are aware that everything is not only clean, but covid-clean. Friendliness and efficiency are evident and you are never confronted by a crowd of strangers. Chelsea obviously both knows and enjoys what she does. Her office is neat and her sincerity in helping others is evident. She patiently listened and explained everything. Scheduling follow-up visits was easy and Angela made sure that there were no misunderstandings. However, in my own case, a personal issue prevented me from continuing with my purchase. While I felt terrible in starting the return process, Chelsea assured me that it happens and there was so much that she could look forward to offering me in the future. Its always the tough situation that proves the worth of a business or a person, and the return process proved that Family Hearing is a good place to trust with your well being.

Im a semi professional musician and over the years had lost some hearing and was contemplating retiring from playing. Was introduced to Chelsea who strongly encouraged me to look into hearing aids. I clearly remember when I tried on a pair during my visit and she put some music on for me to hear the difference. I had tears flowing because I hadnt heard music sounding that clearly in years. I cant recommend Family Hearing enough, especially working with Chelsea. Now I can look forward to many, many years of musical satisfaction. Always a great experience here. Ive been in on 3 different occasions to have ear impressions made for custom in-ear monitors. They do a great job. Ive had impressions made elsewhere before and those werent very good so the monitors didnt fit well. The audiologists here are the best.

I went to get custom ear plugs made. They did a great job and really listened to what I was after. The price of the custom ear plugs was very reasonable. Very good experience. The only thing is that although the final ear plugs are great for everything else...they are uncomfortable for sleeping. Bummer since that was my main point in getting them. But I use them for other things and certainly if I needed them for an occupation they would be awesome!

I purchased the custom insert molded for my ear canal to add to my new hearing aids. I have only used them for a day, but they do make a difference to the sound quality of the hearing aid. When listening to tv the new hearing aids almost match the sound quality of TV Ears that I purchased to enhance tv listening.

I took my 91 year old aunt in for replacement parts. They treated her with humor and respect. After an exam they found the problem and showed me what to do. I have been a client of Family Hearing Center for 20 years and have always received superior service by each staff member. The team of experts are friendly, knowledgeable and go the distance to provide extraordinary care and service. I have a profound hearing loss (more than 100 db in each ear with both neural and conductive loss). Without the expert knowledge and care of the Family Hearing staff, my ability engage in work and life events would be greatly diminished and isolation from the community, family and friends would present. While each of the staff brings unique qualities and knowledge to the practice, I am especially grateful to Alison Seiler at the Lafayette office, who exceeds expectations by continually adding extra effort to ensure that my hearing challenges are addressed quickly. Due to my level of a profound hearing loss, if there is a tiny speck of dust in my hearing aid, it affects sound quality and clarity. By Alison’s diagnostic and troubleshooting skills she is able to resolve all reasons for the loss of sound clarity. As a 57 year old whose dealt with hearing loss since the 60s I cant begin to tell you how thrilled I am with my new devices. Chris and Karima have staffed their hearing centers with caring audio experts! Im a lifelong musician and very finicky with sound quality I was expecting many trips and tweaks to please my new ears. Imagine my surprise to find Chelsea is also an audio buff! She was able to tune my devices perfectly in one trip! As a bass player I requested a music program with a bit of a bump at 80 and 160 hz and am hearing things buried in the mixes of music Ive been listening to for over 30 years. Now everything from bacon frying to bird songs sound like a carefully orchestrated symphony! If you are on the fence about making a purchase dont hesitate. Climb aboard and change your life!

My experience with Family Hearing Center began with Meeting Ms. Chelsea Brude when she came to our community to conduct free hearing screenings. I had decided that I had to do something about my wifes continually telling me the TV was way too loud and my mishearing what she was saying had to be resolved. My decision has proven to be an extremely good one.Ms. Brude and the rest of the team at Family Hearing have immensely improved my quality of life. Chelsea is an exceptional young woman, highly professional in both her command of technical subject matter as well as her ability to relate to and instruct patients regarding hearing loss and adaptive devices.Ms. Brude conducted multiple examinations to identify the exact extent and nature of my hearing loss in order to determine which assistive devices would benefit me most. We arrived at a mutual decision on what I would need. Family Hearing was excellent about taking care of all the insurance filing, making sure I was able to get maximum benefits.I have had my devices delivered and fitted. WOW what a difference. We now can keep the TV at a normal volume level and I can hear it without effort. I can converse with my wife in a restaurant without her having to raise her voice or constantly repeat herself. What a great feeling!Chelsea has programmed my devices so I can control them myself depending on my surroundings. Her knowledge of the technical side of the devices combined with her natural ability to relate to patients as people amazes me.
