Cool looking place and friend got a sandwich that he said was good. Ill take his word. I got a smoothie and for over $7, I can do x3 times better at home. It just tasted like essence flavored chunky ice. Like the light flavors you get with seltzer water (if I wanted that, I would have got seltzer). Oh and the paper straw lasted 2 minutes. No exaggeration. Big bummer.

I stopped by Freinschaft for lunch today and left disappointed. Firstly, the staff is very nice but the food doesn’t justify prices. I ordered the BBQ chicken salad, which consists of a scoop of chicken salad on a bed of lettuce with a side of roasted peppers. Unfortunately, the red peppers were frozen together and there was ice crystals everywhere, which left me with a soggy salad. The chipotle Mayo also doesn’t go well with the BBQ sauce they use in the chicken salad, very off putting.

New German market in town! Interesting, nice selection of sausages, meets and cheeses. You can buy fresh or frozen.Good for breakfast or lunch. Sitting is inside and outside.

A dirty kitchen with the facade of high hygiene.. I came here with my wife and grandchildren. The staff were rude and the quality of food is very low and unsatisfying. I would not recommend coming here if you are in Lancaster. There are many quaint, well priced and good places around.

There are a lot of fake reviews that this place is forcing customers to post for $1 but quite frankly, I find the people working here rude and the food beyond nasty. It says its woman owned but in reality her husband does all the work while she sits and eats. Please increase the quality of food you are serving rather than encouraging people to post fake positive reviews

Freinshaft is by far one of my favorite sandwich places in Lancaster. I would give my left arm for a singular bite of their Tuscan Chicken Melt panini. But by far their chicken salad is the most scrumptious thing ever. I think about that chicken salad day and night, it never leaves my thoughts.

This has quickly become my go-to place for lunch. The sandwiches are really elevated and its because the ingredients are of top quality. Details like you find in the pesto they make and in the brushetta on their italian sandwich make this place really stand out. The people who work there are friendly as well and the prices are competitive.

Between meetings I decided to stop in and get a sandwich- the staff was AMAZING and went above and beyond to help me. Arguably some of the best service I have had in Lancaster. The food was very fresh, well priced, and tasted phenomenal. I would highly recommend to anyone! I cannot wait to come back.

I’m in town from NJ and this is the first place I stopped at for breakfast and what a treat ! Cute little shop with outdoor seating to enjoy the nice weather with my breakfast. I had the classic egg cheese and ham sandwich. Everything was delicious. The worker recommended I tried the peach tea which was pretty good too. A little on the expensive side but everything seems organic and fresh so it was expected.

This is an incredibly unique, well run, small market with exceptional customer service. It is by far a gold standard for what a “family market” should be with freshly prepared foods and a staff that will do anything to serve you, all with a friendly smile. The Freinschaft Market reminds me of similar small markets in Europe. Those markets offer the very best in locally grown produce, along with grass fed, locally raised meat products, artisan breads and local, craft cheeses...all of which can be found at The Freinschaft Market. I live on the Massachusetts coast (Scituate), but have traveled to Lancaster frequently over the past few years (my son was a student at Franklin & Marshall College). On one of those early visits, my wife and I stopped into The Freinschaft Market and fell in love with the ambiance and the people. It became one of our “go to destinations” from that time forward.I highly recommend that anyone traveling near this small market in Lancaster will take the time to drop in.

Great pesto panini!

The staff is exceptional and they make you feel welcome the second you walk in the door. Food is absolutely delicious, and there is a wide range of choices for anyone to find their favorites to keep coming back to again and again for every meal of the day. I also high recommend you pick up meats from their butcher counter. Clearly a must try all around!

The food at Freinschaft is awesome! The sandwich menu is creative and delicious. The fresh meats are excellent. The staff is friendly and takes the time to learn your name! It is a great addition to the neighborhood.

Fantastic place for lunch with a great atmosphere and very knowledgeable and helpful staff. The butcher counter is a treat, I get steaks here often and normally pair it with one of their prepared sides. Curbside pickup is a plus for when Im in a hurry but I typically like to spend a few minutes inside to see whats new and fresh!

ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE! They have the best steaks and meats to buy and take home and their lunch menu is killer! Check it out!

I’ve been shopping here since they opened and it’s always exciting to stop in and see what new artisanal and local products they are currently showcasing in their market. The staff is so helpful and knowledgeable about different cuts of meats, recipes, and products! Thanks for staying Covid Safe and remaining open while offering delivery and curbside service during the shutdown! Best sandwiches ever- it’s a must see for Lancaster County culture and cuisine.

If I lived close by Id be stopping by here on a regular basis to pick up some fresh meat and prepped foods. The food-line here is delicious! Worth a stop if youre in the area!

We didnt actually eat here or buy anything but I was really impressed at how gorgeous the store was and how much I wanted to buy everything! Well have to try it next time were in Lancaster!

The quality of food here is awful and I had a really bad stomach after eating. Its filled with self reviews so be careful! Tons of amazing places near by, stay away!

I got a Tuscan chicken wrap here and it was great until I saw an INSECT crawling out of it! Not coming back to Lancaster and definitely not coming back here!

I was surprised with a catering drop off from freibschaft market at my baby shower. The presentation and selection were fantastic! As a caterer myself, I was honestly very pleasantly surprised at the quality, time and care put into the preparation and presentation of the food. Everything was absolutely delicious! Fresh made sandwiches are killer! Staff is very pleasant and the meat selection is top notch. I frequent the shop for lunch or even to pick up a snack/ groceries. Highly recommend!

We stopped here for lunch yesterday and totally enjoyed our experience. We had their bbq chicken with coleslaw and roasted potatoes and the food was delectable. The waitstaff were all very friendly and helpful and the deli/market atmosphere was perfect.A great find

Ambiance was great, beautiful interior and products. Paninis were small and lacking in flavor though. I would recommend plating hot food for those eating at Freinschaft instead of wrapping the paninis in paper and handing them to the customer in a stack to sit and eat with napkins. Overall we would return for groceries though. Good selection. The prepared food area looks very good too!

My son had a roast beef panini that was so delicious he ordered a second one! I had the roasted carrots, potatoes and falafel, also delicious. We found some unique specialty items like elderberry jam. There was a steady stream of traffic while we were there, but the staff remained friendly and accessible. Well be back soon.

This was one of the best sandwiches Ive ever had. The bread was freshly cut, the sandwich was huge, and the presentation was top-notch.

I went to get some stuff to eat and bring home after working in the hospital. I greeted the owner, as I looked through their selection which was very slim I saw the owner who was very rude whisper and gossip. Rude staff,and the deli selection of prepaid salads Ect was not fresh. The meat selection was scant and looked old. This is not a good place.

Had the Super bowl special of wings! SOOO good! Was a little spicy due to the seasoning but the wings had an amazing flavor. Will always think about them for a catering option!

I got food from the hot food bar and was very impressed. The grilled chicken was amazing!! Was hesitant about the slow roasted yellow tomatoes but they were delicious!!!

Found this place last year after moving from VA. The meat and grocery selection is excellent for the space. We have tried a wide variety of fresh meats from pork shoulder to lamb crown roast, and rib eye steaks and to filet mignon; and the chicken cutlets are delicious! They have a rotating variety of sausages; the boudin blanc is one of our favorites. We have sampled several sandwiches and premade items, enjoying the unique twist to a Cuban Panini, savoring the risotto cakes, and devouring the chicken croquettes. The staff is friendly and learned our names after our first visit. Highly recommend a visit if youre hungry.
