Probably the solution to any west Africans problems in the state of Georgia. Coming from the Washington D.C area, where we have a plethora of international markets, having to drive an hour to find this store was saddening. I think that’s why the prices are high because they know people are desperate lol.Nevertheless it has everything I was looking for from Yellow Gari, Palm Oil, Maggi, Red Snapper (EXPENSIVE), Ndole, Crayfish, fresh ripe plantains, oxtail, smoked turkey, fowl etc.

Great variety of African and caribbean fresh foods. From fufu to Guinea fowl, you can get it here. Having trouble finding authentic spices to cook that soup or jollof rice, then this is the place to shop. How about raw shea butter or pure coco butter to nourish your hair and skin, they have that too. I can go on and on. Youll feel like youre shopping in an African market. Oh dont forget Titus sardines and Agege bread, yes they have that too. My only complaint is that it is so popular, they need to expand so that shoppers will have more space to shop. Other than that, its 5 stars in my book.

Excellent customer service. Nice clean store. I just wish the workers in the back were more knowledgeable about the merchandise in the store. Sometimes the owners are busy with customers and other customers have questions and need help locating items in the store.

🌍 I went to store/market and did not get a chance to try the restaurant. But the store/market is a great place to buy African food. They had some very rare Cameroonian products 🇨🇲 ! I was very proud and impressed. The customer service was great, the people were nice and helpful. The man double checked my receipt before he gave it to me. I will definitely come back. & Next time I will try the restaurant for sure 😋 !

They have a great variety of African and Caribbean food and things. The prices are comparable for this area, however Ive found things more affordable down in Norcross at that African store there. But this is closer to my home and it seems like they sell things quickly.

As native born Georgians we enjoy shopping at our local ethnic stores. My favorite dish includes a sauce from west Africa called shito. Honest star has two brands that are great. The staff were great and very helpful with our purchase.

Nice little convenient store with a little bit of everything to satisfy your African/Caribbean grocery needs. Prices are a bit steep. Please note that they don’t always open at their specified store times so call beforehand. Shop supposedly opens at 10am on Saturday’s, it’s 10:45am and the store is closed :) Also, as reviewer terry said, keep an eye on your items being rang at the cash register.

This store is never opened at 9am as they claim. ( have been there severally)I was here 9:30am including like 5 more cars waiting outside. Only opening now 10:50. The beauty of African ( never early) please change opening time to 11am just so we know

Nice place to get African foods and snacks

Theres a lot of stuff like cosmetic products, tropical food, especially from Africa 😀 my mom loves going there to buy some veggies, African food and some other stuff. Although its not a big place but I like it.👍

Be careful when you shop at the store at the cash register. Watch out for the lady or anyone at the cash register. They have the tendency to intentionally dupe you by ringing up items twice or three times if youre not watching. And if you purchase a lot of items that may be hard to detect until you get home or not at all if you dont pay attention to your receipt.Make sure to ask for an ITEMIZED RECEIPT which shows every item you bought.Yesterday we found out that they did this to us and we had asked for an itemized receipt only to find out when we got home that the lady rang up 21 items instead of the 19 items we found in our bags, and we didnt leave ANYTHING behind in the store. I realized that she would hold you in conversation to distract you and while our eyes were strayed to the TV in the store, I saw her from the corner of my eye looking at us to see if we were paying attention to her while she was ringing up our items fast.It was after we discovered that we were cheated that I understood why she behaved like that.I hate people who cheat others out of their hard earned money.

You can go there for all your African and Caribbean favourites. Easily noticeable when in traffic. Good customer service.

Looking for good African Foodstuff... Tropical Store is the place to be

The food is usually good, but my reason for giving them 2 stars is because the people who work there are nasty, and rude as hell. I called and spoke with the owner, and she insisted that she will take the situation into her hands, and solve it. well today again my husband called, and ordered his food, and was given a time frame of 30 min. 50 minutes later when we arrived he went inside, sat for 20 minutes and came out empty handed. He was very upset, and hungry, and he said the lady completely ignored him, and tended to other customers. I am tired of this disrespect. The food is over priced, and the employees are so disrespectful to the people that keep the business afloat. I would advise take your dollar else where, or maybe you just like paying for trash.
