We sat there for over an hour an never got our food. We had our kids with us and they wanted to eat. But instead they lost our ticket and never even made our food. Used to be the best place to eat but now it’s trash.
Wish I could give no stars waited two hours just for food. They had two cooks… when there was only three tables they close at two and we have been here’s since 12 it’s currently 1. THREE tables and it takes an hr for a simple plate
Stopped in for some all day breakfast to go around 6pm. I was greeted promptly and offered a menu. Upon making the selections for my family and paying it took approximately 12 minutes for my food to be ready. We got it home and to our surprise(due to bad luck at other restaurants not here) everything was correct and all the condiments were included I had ask for. My club was prepared exactly as I ordered it, lite mayo and it tasted fantastic! Fries were cooked great as well, not overly cooked or raw. The eggs for the other meal were over easy,also cooked correctly, and the bacon and hashbrowns crispy, also as ordered! Overall I have to say we were very pleased and will definitely be making this our go to place for our breakfast fix!! Prices were also reasonable so give them a try sometime!!
This was my 1st time visiting. The the staff was very nice from the hostess to the cook. They all interacted with the customers..
The food was fantastic, the staff was friendly and proficient however there were not enough people working to take timely care of all the patrons.

Visited on 5/03/21. Waitress (only 2 servers on, didnt get a name older women) took our order around 8:10 and it’s now 8:45 and the food has yet to come. Our waitress went outside multiple times, went too the bathroom and didn’t bother update us on our food, (breakfast for 2 people). Only two other tables were here when were came that had already ate and left. The other server ( pregnant young girl) was very helpful checked on us brought us fresh coffee and gave great service. Our older sever locked the door 5 minutes after we got our food 8:56 and when i went too pay I had too wait for her to count the drawer in front of me and pocket her money for the day. Very horrible experience.

Ive eaten here many times over the years and its kinda hit and miss on the food and the service. At times I would give 5 stars and their are times I would give 0 stars if allowed. It really depends on the staff thats working. I ate here today and the service was great but the food wasnt the best. Tasted like the grill needed to be cleaned.

Waited 10 minutes for someone to take my order. 3 tables that came in after me get helped first. Once got food, hash browns not cooked as requested. They take them back and 10 minutes later come back same way. At this point I simply just asked for a to go box. Waitress walks back around to kitchen area, which is in the open where you can hear. Waitress and cook proceed to talk rudely about my request.Oh...... and 10 more minutes later I get that to go box and my bill. UNBELIEVABLE
The Food is GREAT!.. The best Waffle and Club Sandwich Ive ever had...Prices are good.. Typical Diner type setting.. I LOVE IT...Beats any big chain for breakfast and burgers..
Took forever to get waited on, food cooked wrong, part of the food came out first, had to wait for hash browns, they came out raw, eggs were cold and cooked hard thru and thru, waitress did not care, two tables in front of me and one table behind me came in after I did and they all had their food before I got mine. Paid for my coffee and left
Very hot no AC I am 63years old can not eat there again with out no AC had to ask for napkins and fork and spoon the go water cup had a hole in it very doubtful Ill be back

Went 2 time 1st got order wrong second time had to leave Took 30 minute to take order Then 30 then took 30 minutes to them get the order even started. There is something wrong with the place When we went the first time there were 2guys there ahead of me telling us good luck getting food

My first time being out in a year thanks to the trash of Hicks-I mean- statesville. Y’all STILL ain’t wearing masks. The waitress didn’t, the cook didn’t, they have a sign on the door pretending they are going to enforce it but they certainly don’t. Thank god I’m vaccinated. This backwoods town is unreal. Americans really don’t care who suffers and dies as long as it isn’t them.

I am so disappointed a Saturday evening 2 older women working 1 cook 1 waitress. 5 people in there 2 were us 1 was waiting to take out other 2 finishing up! Did not have what we wanted (baked ham) ordered 2 omelets was a hour! And order was wrong as well as drink order wrong! I dont know what happened this was my Mom and my place we miss old staff food and service! Especially Kim!

If I could put 0 stars I would. Have tried eating here a handful of times. Each time the place hasn’t been that busy and it still takes 10 mins for drinks. Then if the waitresses make it back to you to order, it takes another 45 min to get food, if you’re lucky. Currently been sitting here for 35 minutes without anyone coming to check on us. Won’t be back.

When they called in another waitress last night because the restaurant was so busy, she was rude and crude to the regular waitress Patti. We go to coffee house often for the great food, but after last night I do believe her name was Sandi and she ruined a great dinning experience. Our food is always good if Patti or Glenda is not working our family will not be back.
Nice place. Ill go back again definitely. Next time Ill give a better review.
Love the WAFFLE HOUSE
This place has continually gone down hill since the ownership changed. Food quality, service and even getting a refill has all but vanished. Couldnt find my waitress, stood up in my chair to see the staff sitting in the kitchen and suddenly they jumped to attention to finish waiting on me. When I went to pay my tab neither the cook or server could manage to operate the computer. Bill was 12 bucks and I left a 20 just to get out of that place. I miss the old days, good food, knowledgeable and mindful staff, and getting in and out was easy. Hope someone turns this place around sooner than later.

Food is ok, basic southern cooking. Hubby ordered the ribeye for breakfast and it was very overcooked. I will add this for a side note; the wait staff industry is not for everyone, some people have no customer service and on this particular morning, we could tell one of the staff should look elsewhere.

Essentially a knock off of Waffle and Huddle House but Waffle and Huddle House are better. The name is misleading as they have very few options for waffles or coffee. The food was ok and I felt that most Waffle Houses are actually cleaner. None of the staff were wearing masks which I felt was inappropriate since they had a sign on the door asking customers to wear masks. I probably wont return, Id rather go to Huddle House.
Real good food for a very fair price and clean
My friend and I have ate there numerous times, today was terrible! I ordered over medium well eggs, got over medium barely. The biscuits tasted old or left over.. the country ham was overcooked and our server disappeared after she brought our food. My friend had overcooked country ham and a biscuit and gravy. Her biscuit tasted just as bad as mine. Needless to say this will be the last time we eat there!

We usually come here because its the only place my mom likes. There usually is only 1 person working and 1 cook. Never had a problem with service. Today was so different. It wasnt the regular waitress. We got seated by the cook, then waited 10. My mom wanted to leave. As we were getting ready to leave the small waitress runs up to get our order. Proceeds to tell us shes the only one working there and wants to know if shes to late to get our order... Yep you sure are... not only doesnt know her restaurant, but her job to.. lets not be rude to a regular... sorry lost our business!

Good coffee and they kept our coffee filled. The staff was friendly. The food was good. It is similar to a Waffle House. It was perfect for a late night dinner with some friends.
I went to eat late night around 1:30am. Our server was excellent. I will go back just because shes so great.

It can be good just depends on whos cooking. Just left there with three grilled cheeses to go & they were almost black with grease & soaked with the butter they put on the grill. Threw them & my money away. The new young male night cook is not a cook.
This was a great surprise for us last Saturday. We had met with some friends and wanted something different for dinner. Well, we found it. This is not your normal plain waffle or coffee shop. This had a good mix of options and really did have something for everyone! We were really pleased and next time we are up that way plan to stop in again.
Im not sure if the Asian guy is still the cook there or not. If so he is the best cook they have. Today to eggs were over cooked ama the hash Browns were under cooked and the bacon was almost burnt.
Always a great experience here. My coffee cup is never empty, and its a great place for comfort food before browsing the flea market in the same lot. They staff is super friendly, and the prices are great for the amount of food you get. It reminds me of a New Jersey style diner with southern charm and better grits.
Stopped at 2:20 on New Years waited 2 hrs on food. Finally got our food to find a long black hair in it. Then get accused of putting it there myself when my hair is freaking blonde. Hash browns were burnt. Had to wait another 25 min to get my back that she had to remake. Every table in there was dirty. Couldnt get refills on our drinks. The waitress was too worried about flirting with guys. Finally got out of there at 4:30. That was the worst experience ever there!
This place reminds us of diners back in PA. Fast, friendly service. Home cooking. Decent coffee. We have breakfast here regularly.

Decent food at a fair price. Mostly a breakfast stop, breakfast served all day. Ive been many times and have never had a bad meal. Nice place to stop for a decent inexpensive meal while on the road traveling.
If you are looking for a classy breakfast experience, this is not the place for you. If you are looking for good food at cheap prices and friendly staff, I highly recommend this diner. One step above a Waffle House, but the same type of food.

They use no gloves trash swept left in the floor. Floors not swept. Good food need to clean up.if ya gonna keep the customers coming ya gonna have to earn them. And if you dont they will gradually pine away....

Im not usually one to complain...I normally only comment to give places credit for great service. However, this experience I feel needs to be shared for the owner to have the opportunity to save their reputation. It seemed obvious the cook was new...and maybe what I get for sitting at the bar with a clear view...First, I noticed immediately after he gloved up he was touching the back of his shirt, then he was on his phone and touching it. He had only touched spatula handles at this point, so Im thinking I guess itll be ok...then he grabs the bill of his hat. After all this, when he places my food in a box, he starts handling it all and moving it around. Needless to say...at least my dogs enjoyed it...smhI started to go with 1 star, but the waitress was great, so I do want to give her credit for excellent service!
The bathroom was clean. And its been my experience if the bathrooms are clean then so is the kitchen.. Good was great. Service was good too, good came quickly. Ill be back.

Did not even stay. The pictures on the menu were not appetizing at all. A burger with 6 french fries. Went there for coffee because I love a coffee house. This place not your typical coffee house, but is a cheap version of a waffle house. Pretty disappointed in it. Will never bother going there again.
Service was sharp and attentive food was mediocre. Hash browns were generic frozen variety type, definitely wont get that again (total waste of plate space). They were part of the big breakfeast sandwich/ hash browns combination platter. I should have substituted french fries..

My husband and I ate there for our anniversary breakfast and a couple bites into my hash browns was a black hair. The cooks dont wear hairnets while cooking. Other than that our waitress was great.

Service has really gone so far downhill it is laughable to compare it to days gone by. Waited so long for our waitress who was more invested in her phone conversation that we just got up and left. Now on a time crunch to take my elderly mother who wanted breakfast to get it and get to work on time as well. Waitresses devolved into a yelling match as we went out the door. Will never return. You can claim shortstaffed if you want as an excuse but I have been a waitress before with just two of us in a much bigger and busier place with no busser or hostess as well during the middle of a dinner rush and it wasnt a shitshow like I witnessed today. Service was absolutely atrocious.

Stood there for over 10 minutes waiting for all the empty tables to be cleaned off so we could sit down while employees repeatedly Walked by and said nothing to us. Finally walked out and went elsewhere. Please hire people who actually care about your business..

Marginal at best. Service was not great. The food was passable diner food. Tasted like it came out of a Cisco box. But it was clean.
