They ordered a new storm door for me after they came out to measure.It took 8 weeks to get it. But that was because of the Co vd. It came in yesterday and they were out today to install it. Steve installed it and he did a great job. Looks great, he cleaned up after he installed the door. This is the second time ther have done something for me, and I have pleased both times. Ive had to call them twice this summer. once to replace a broken spring and once for a new opener. The service was great both times. I would call them again and would recommend them.

Had a brand new garage door installed on June 3. 2021 noticed bottom weatherstrip lose. Called the next day to have the situation taken care of said they would be out Tuesday the 8th after 3PM. Nobody showed up. I call on the 9th. Didnt know anything about my problem and now they cant get anybody out until the 11th. I dont think I can count on them to get this right.

Nothing like a family owned business! Suburban Door Company came to our rescue today. Broken spring on our garage door of course on a weekend. Where other companies thought Tuesday was a good time to come out for an emergency, Suburban was here within 2 hours! My garage door broke a spring and came off the track. My car was IN the garage. Suburban doors came and put new springs in and put it back in the track. It only took about 25 minutes and I was out the door and on my way to a doctor’s appt in record time. Matt was super professional and friendly. Im very impressed with the service and product I received for suburban door.I had a horrible experience with Lowes, their subcontractors and their product.Suburban door was amazing. I spoke DIRECTLY to them at their office and saw samples. Joe was the install guy and he called ahead of time to give me heads up. He got the job done in a half day and was very friendly and funny while he was here.I hope I wont need a new garage door but if I ever do Ill be calling suburban door.Also they are in some way associated with a charter fishing operation and Im looking forward to their offer of 10% off of a fishing charter with purchase of a door.

I bought a garage door from them over six years ago. Today I damaged it and called to see if they had any suggestions. Saved me the $90 service fee and I had it fixed in five minutes. Their service then and long after the sale is awesome.

My wife and I bought a house that had a wonderful 2 1/2 car attached garage. Unfortunately, it did not have a garage door opener. On top of that, there is a support beam that runs across the top of the garage and goes through the spot a garage door opener goes. I called Suburban and they had Aaron come out and take a look at the situation. He made his measurements, and with just a few tweaks (that werent very costly at all) he said he could make it happen. Aaron came back a few days later, installed the opener and accessories, replaced the existing rollers with nicer ones, and the door is amazing. Its so quiet and smooth!!! Its only been a day, but Im really impressed at this point. I highly recommend them!

One of our springs broke recently so we called Suburban Door Company to come out and fix them. Joe was the gentleman who came to change them out. He was very professional and friendly. Joe was done fixing the springs in 40 minutes. The price was very reasonable. And with COVID-19 he was respectful of keeping his distance. Would highly recommend Suburban Door Company.

The place to go for your door needs. Been using for years from the time I lived in Hazel Park to the present in Livonia. Friendly and knowledgeable.

Communication was good. Office staff was friendly and even the installer was friendly. The product delivered was good quality and was a good price. My only gripe is that rather than use a $20 stud finder to locate trusses, the installer drilled about 20 holes in the ceiling looking for the trusses. Moreover, he drilled most of them parallel with the truss even though the direction of the trusses should have been clear from the roof line. the house is new construction. The drywall was just installed and painted. Now I need to have my drywall contractor and painter come back to fix all the drill holes.

I used Suburban Door a couple of years ago when my garage door opener died. I went to a local retailer and bought a new one. I had passed by SD a few times and decided to call them to install it. They came out and replaced it the next day. The serviceman was on time and felt sorry for him because it was the middle of summer! Through his sweat he helped me program my car in less than 5 minutes. Fast forward 7/2018, the spring on my garage broke in half. I called them and they came out the next day and within 30 minutes I had a new spring, rollers and all lived up. Each time from the call to the repair, staff was friendly, responsive and the prices were commensurate with the work I had done. I would use them again and again! Excellent company and would recommend to everyone!

Our garage door opener stopped working. We called Suburban & we were told it we may need a new motor, gears, keypads, remotes etc. A price was quoted & we made an appointment. Matt from Suburban Door arrived right on time, quickly determined that the problem was the gear, which was 10 years old. I asked if we needed the other items, too - he said, not unless theyre not working. I said they seemed ok. He said he would check everything out. He finished working within 30 minutes, said he replaced the gear & lubed everything. He closed & opened the door and voila! Everything was smooth & much quieter. Matt told me everything else is working fine and no need to replace anything else. The total price was 1/3 what we thought wed pay! Suburban Door is a great company: good work, well-run and honest! I used their parts department twice. They have been very helpful on how to fix my garage door. They even straightened out a rod that bent when the spring broke.

This is the single worst experience I have ever had with a company and I would NEVER do business with them again. I should have known when I first walked in the front door and no one greeted me for 15 minutes while in the showroom that this wasnt going to be a good experience. Not only are they not friendly people, but they are complete hacks at what they do and they dont stand behind their work. They completely screwed up several installs for us, literally nothing was straight or square with their install... the poorest quality of work imaginable, no skill or craftsmanship whatsoever. All from a company that has been in business for 70+ years. I was stunned. I had to hire another company to remove their doors, fix what should have been fixed in the first place, to properly do the install. You should have seen what was under the installed doors! What a mess. When brought to task, they denied, denied, denied. Even when I brought pictures supporting my claims...they ignored me and kicked me out of their showroom. What a joke. You would think that after 70 years in business, they would know the ins and outs of their trade... they dont. This place is run by a bunch of incompetent and rude people who are running this company into the ground. There are plenty of companies out there way better, who do great work, who actually appreciate customers and want to do a good job. Save yourself the grief... Go somewhere else. If you dont, you will eventually regret it. Not good people at this place.

We have just moved and on the second day of owning our home the garage door came off the tracks. I called them and they told me someone would be out “soon.” They had someone to our house within 10 minutes of calling! I was so impressed and they were so nice and got our door fixed right away.

Late in the afternoon, I noticed a broken spring on my garage door. I called to have it fixed. The next morning Matt, the repairman, had the job done along with lubing the rollers and hinges. Great job and great service!

The product itself was great but unfortunately the staff forgot to order a door for us so the project took twice as long as it should have. If youre not in a rush to have the job done, go with this company. If you have to take time off work for them to do their job, prepare to take multiple days off due to them not being properly prepared.

We ordered a storm door and screen door. When they installed the screen door it cracked the frame of the storm door. Have called on several occasions and after 8 months they still haven’t replaced the frame, which they stated was their mistake for bad install.

Friendly people but they seriously need some better training for their office staff. I had to make several calls about the arrival of my garage door, to find out that it had arrived to their building 2 days before I phoned. I asked if I hadnt called were they going to phone me, and the gal said they were swamped. I can understand that particular dilemma, but it seems to be the mantra over there.Then after speaking with their office 3 times about the appt time (including the day before), the time was still not met as they had two different papers listing A.M. or P.M. So after phoning them AGAIN an hour after he should have arrived, they said there was the mix-up. Had to rearrange a doctors appt to accommodate an afternoon installation otherwise it would have been another week before installation..As I said above, friendly, nice people but really, how do they run a business? After putting a deposit on the door I discovered they were used by a family member who waited forever to hear from them about their door. Between the ordering and the installation there is some mismanagement in the office.The fella is finishing the installation, the door looks great, but I will come on again to this review if there are any problems.

A circus! Waited 2 1/2 weeks for installation to find that the salesman, whom they called the middle man, didnt follow company procedure, as i was told. I never got a call as promised the day before. I called 4 hours after the scheduled time. They said the door had just arrived that day and were not ready to install. They set it up a few days later. I got a call that day to say wrong door was ordered. Much difficulty admitting error and instead got grandiose, and obnoxious on the phone. A wasted 3 weeks...

Called ProLine Door Systems for a service call and was told I needed to replace the a bad motor for $2000. Called these guys a couple days later for a motor replacing estimate and they replaced a capacitor to fix it for much less.
