Staff was welcoming, kind and most of all HELPFULL. They helped me change my reservation location and assisted with the trailer, it made pick up and drop off super easy
I have used uhaul many times over the years and this experience was so bad that it will be the last time I use the service. I reserved a 4x8 trailer a month before my move at the Los Angeles Koreatown Location. On the day I arrived for pick up they did not have it for me and stated I could wait till the following day 7/30/21 from the Hollywood location. Or my other option is to get something bigger, which I refused stating my car couldnt handle hauling a bigger trailer than 4x8. They offered no credit as stated on the website and sent me on my way. Later that day they called saying the trailer came in and to come in asap. I pull up and the Manager Juan is out side. He tells me he will hook it up while I go inside and pay. I go in and when they ring me up its an 1500 for the week. I was confused because the initial quote for for 1000 online. I ask the clerk and her only response is to point to the screen and state that is the price. I agree because Ive got to move out and I am on a deadline. I pack everything up and head on the road the next day. I only drive for 3 hrs, making it just out side of Barstow when my car begins smoking and the transmission blows out. Stranded on the side of the road I realize they gave me a 5x8 and the extra weight blew out my car, rendering it useless. I try to get through to roadside assistance but was unable to get through to the following day. When I finally get through I have to pay an additional $4500 for a 10ft truck because my personal vehical is not there problem. So I call around and finally track down a 10ft truck in San Bernadino I get towed there and with the help of roadside assistance. I am told I can make the switch from trailer to truck but when I get there the clerk says they wont accept my trailer and we have to travel even further to Fontana to make the drop off.If it had just been one error I think I would be more understanding, but negligence, poor services and constant confusion between dealers leave a very bad taste.
Just a star for the workers who do their job well not as their worker Jonathan who contradicts his clients. I came to ask for a truck who i delivered the same day. I gave a 58-dollar hold to which it would be reimbursed as soon I pay the total of 47 dollars never gave me a receipt. past 4 days I receive an email that I owe the amount of 78 dollars I got the store and Jonathan answers that he always give my clients their receipt so please people if you come to this store never let the employee Jonathan help you....
Had a reservation/quote two months out. Was told a manager would call 2 days from the moving date to confirm. Didn’t receive a call so I contacted the Koreatown UHaul center, where my reservation was requested. They confirmed my truck and pick up time/date. I then received a call from a UHaul manager the next day stating that there were no trucks available in the state and I would have to drive to New Mexico from LA to get a truck. When I told him the pick up location had confirmed my truck he denied it and said I could only rent a pod or go out state. Truly a horrific company. Don’t rely on them, go with Penske or another more honest company.
Inconvenient service, I was desperate for for help and some courtesy for the delays and changing pick up location but unfortunately the agents were not helping.
1.There was no customer service:Guy with a tag general manager could have been nicer. There were no greetings, no eye contact, no facial expressions, but rather just some quiet mumblings, lazy movement, and sleepy face. Unengaging, unmotivated. He was just stuck in that chair acted like a Don Corleone. Felt like I was talking to a gangsta or some like..He told me to see a person outside to check the car, but no one was there. I had to go look for the guy. Samething over here.. he was laughing and chilling with homies back there. Handed me the key and etc.2. Limited parking spaces. Only three. So I took a taxi = extra money spent.3. I gave two stars because the van itself was alright, which was the main purpose of the visit.
I ordered a hitch installation, called to confirm my appointment and availability of hitch and installer, and showed up and waited for an hour before being told they wouldnt install for me anymore. This company is a joke

I had bad customer service experience today. I was returning one way rental trailer at this location. Associate Paul Jimenez ask me to tip him multiple time throughout returning proccee. Which made me very uncomfortable. Be aware of Paul Jimenez. Ive also addressed the issue to cooperate.

Rude and Unprofessional. I didnt really have any problem until I returned the trailer. However, things started up with a young black girl who was working outside when I returned. The girl who worked outside had a full of complaints on her face, and she talked to me like she was talking to her dog. At the first moment, I was like ok and letting her give me an instruction where to park. But, I am not her kid, nor her pet. Not any single customer wouldnt want to have such that experience with someone talking rudely to the customer like that. It wasnt even conversational, but more like demanding with an attitude. I was thinking why is she so angry at me for no reason and talking to me like she wanted to fight.Once I parked my car, one guy detached the trailer. But he left the trailer just a few feet away from my car and went inside the office. After confirming my return at the window, I was just being polite and expressed my gratitude, but the guy who detached the trailer from my car didnt even respond, but ignored.When I tried to take off, I was thinking that the trailer might be the problem on the of the way out. So, I was like pointing at the trailer and gave her a sign of that trailer needed to move out of the way more clearly. The girl saw me, but she was pretending that she didnt see me. So, I walked up to the girl and she saw me walking to her, but she pretended that she didnt see me again and ran into the store. She exactly knew what I was trying to ask her, but she wanted to disregard my request so she went in.When I saw her just walked into the store even though she saw me pointing at the trailer and trying to ask her to move the trailer out of the way, I just gave up on dealing with that type of person. There is no point of dealing with such a person behaves like that. I really couldnt understand what is up with these people working in the night. Perhaps, it was because of I returned the trailer at the last minute before they closed the store. However, the girls attitude was more than just being rude.When I drove out of the store, I saw the girl and the guy were standing outside looking at me drove away. They seemed like they were talking about how I got out of the way. If you were me, how would you feel about this experience?

This was one of the best and easiest rentals I’ve had in a long time. (And I rent a lot!). I checked in on line and didn’t have to go into the store at all, i didn’t even get out of my car for either pick up or return.
I wouldn’t normally rate a uhaul company simply because you can always get a mix bag of service and experience. However, one employee was exceptional. Channel (Not sure on the spelling) helped turn around my terrible week by providing awesome customer service, a friendly smile, and as I was walking away a hug. I have lived in LA for almost a year and she was the first person in the city to ever make me feel like I was family. Thank you for making my day better and I truly thank you for sharing your bright outlook on life.
I have used u haul rental trucks several times over the years and this location has the best service/customer service that I have ever experienced.
My experience was terrible, and I am planning to file a complaint. I made a reservation 2 weeks prior for 1 direct way and was sent notification less than 24 hours that a reservation was changed to round trip. I had to make extra time, gas, inconvenience to bring back the truck to downtown. It was so unprofessional that you didn’t offer any help or options and was just told straight “no” on everything. It was also not even a location I chose to pick up. The “call center” reservation people so called “managers“ were uneducated with absolutely no training. This is absolute the worst experience I ever had for a years.
The staff is absolutely amazing! Honestly moving is so stressful and your staff was more than helpful with the services we needed!!!! Continue with the great attitudes and beautiful smiles! Best in-store Uhaul experience EVER!!!!!!!!
The receptionist is like a robot. Did not explain the basis of how the car works and in addition she only said fill the gas tank and did not explained or go over how much I need to fill up. After I return the truck I saw that she highlighted the estimated gallons needed to return the car but she never verbally mentioned what she was highlighting. I’m also at fault here for not looking into the contact. Just took the contract and put it into the compartment glove. My advice to you is read the contact and don’t expect them to go over the basics with you.
Omg. Worst Uhaul location ever! People there are very slow. Always have a big line there. Be prepare for a 20 to 45min wait. A persons name Juan there have a really bad attitude.
One star is to much for this business.I Reserved a 20 truck to help friend move several days prior to date and paid with the credit card. The lady on the line said I have the truck from morning to 7pm.On the moving date, we had a good size rain and everything got delayed.We moved most of the stuffs to the curve side to load quickly since the narrow street with double parking moving truck is danger at best.Went to U-Haul yard 10:30am to pick up the truck and my truck was waiting there but they cancel my reservation; they said and wont let me have it. I Tried to reserve the same truck but no one tried to help.They point finger to each other and finally morning crew canceled my reservation due to late show; they said. I called and made reservation prior to moving date with credit card number provided. How about a same effort back from store managers simple call back to confirm if I am serious rentor or not before canceling. Rain or shine and how much they are damaging customers by pretend to provide service; they dont care.I did my part to use their service but they are not very serious about running their business at all. DO NOT DEPEND ON THIS BUSINESS.Especially if you are serious about what your doing.
It could be better if the staff members there can serve customers one at a time. Instead, when I was picking up the van today, during the check-in procedure, a member of staff there detours to help other customers so that I have to wait more time than I expect.
Juan is the man. He went out of his way to help me on my moving day and saved me time and money. All the staff was helpful and kind. Not to mention this was in the middle of a pandemic. Thank you to UHAUL Koreatown! A+++
It was worst experience. I ordered dolly online in advance to move the refrigerator, but the staff just said that it had already been done. I was very upset! They didnt say sorry.

Very LUDE place. I made reservation this morning 9:38AM from 4pm to 6pm. But the desk guy said I do not have reservation and he cannot help me because they do not have any van available. And I did not finish conversation he say get out of line and call another customer. Therefore I did not get any help from him so I have to call Uhaul Service center and find out what is going on. Be careful!!

This place has ONE clerk for a line of like 10 people right now, and he’s moving and talking in slow-motion. This Uhaul will blow any schedule you may have out of the water. I’d advise going elsewhere.
Terrible place. Cant keep to a reservation for truck size. Never has the furniture dollies or other moving supplies even when they are on the reservation. What is the point of planning for a move when this company cant keep their promises. Unapologetically at that.
I have never had better customer service from a rental place. Izzy and Tracy exceeded the wow factor. I hope they are appreciated by there company. Good job ladies. And thank you again for everything.

I was in the middle of a very stressful move and had to book a uhaul last minute... unfortunately I got to the location just in time to watch the doors close. My first reaction was FML until the amazing associate Brianna at this location helped me out anyway! She showed me how to navigate online to change my rental for same day so I didnt loose my reservation. She also gave me contact phone numbers for uhaul to expedite the process. This is what customer service should be everywhere! I hope she is properly compensated for her expertise a d knowledge!

Dont go to this place, its terrible, theres a very good chance that youll regret going there. Went here twice because its close, but never again.1. They take forever to deal with customers. Expect to wait 30 minutes, at least. They are very, very unorganized.2. First time I went there, they sneaked in an extra $20 service fee that I didnt notice until later when I looked at my receipt.3. Second time I went there, we bought the complete liability protection for $14.99, and happened to ding the rooftop by a tree overhang, but they said that wasnt covered by our liability protection and charged us an extra $90. And it took about 2 hours.4. Theres no returning the trucks after 6 p.m., after which you get charged for an extra day.

The vehicle was clean, but it seemed to have a problem with a transmission.
The receptionist was so disrespectful and unhelpful. The recipe was not clear and over calculated at the end. They didnt let you to park your vehicle inside the parking and there was no parking spot available in neighborhoods!!! Every place no parking allowed, 1 or 2 hour parking lot in near bog market. I was told by one parson car return at night is due to availability and the rude lady said we are full for tonight!!! Later at night around 12 i came back and saw the parking was empty but two u-haul cars had block entrance and exit by purpose and few cars was parked without any discipline in one of entrance. So disappointed 😔I will attach pics too

Questionable charges. Drove 10 miles round trip from UHaul to new place and back. 19-foot Truck gets 10 miles per gallon according to UHaul rep. So, why do they charge me for 2.8 gallons of gas usage? I asked to be charged for only 1 gallon that I did not refill that I used. Orlin that had a badge with Owner actually could not handle it because she apparently is only a lonely peon. Contacted Luis Serrano by email and text. Gave me the run-around (aka getting played). On Saturday, he assured hed take care of it on Monday when he returned to work. On Monday night, I contacted him again... he said he could not do the correction because UHaul had a power outage. Im sure hes very good at this as it seems its the same technique he uses to rotate girls for different days of the week. Not bothering contacting him over the correction again, but worth writing a 1 star review. Fair trade.

Ridiculous...I show up to buy some boxes..just boxes at 6:41. Doors are locked! Gentleman outside tells me they close doors at 6:40 because they have to lock up the doors and close out register. Umm no, you need to say that you close at 6:30 if you want to do that. I know where my business/money will not be going to.

Very disappointed... I came in to do the wiring to my hitch, and they failed to tell me I needed to go to the dealership and have them do the final installation to connect to the brake lights. I needed the hitch the same day, so when I went to go pick it up, they would NOT release the trailer to me because the brake lights wont connect... I needed this for a job and had so much trouble trying to figure out what to do next...

Before you use U-Haul here, think of something else.If you choose to use it, you may be charged an unforeseen cost for the unforeseen unexpected.First of all, unfriendly is the base, and is a place to play with GAS on return.If the GAS is not full when you are picking up your car, and you are in a tight state, ask for a full fill, repeat the turn off and on, and take pictures from multiple angles.If you do not do it properly and return it, you will be charged for the absurd GAS fee here.In my case, I moved 45 miles to GPS Navication, and I got 52 miles for my cars odometer record and paid back at $ 15 (3.5 gallons), but they charge me $ 26 for a separate GAS value. I used it because of the move, but when I returned it, the person in charge did not do the other thing and I could not wait for a long time.GAS Gauge Make sure to take pictures at various angles.And, as with pick-ups, you have to anticipate tremendous stress when returning.

Im not moving, but Im moving some furniture and the hires Ive hired from this ... are so loyal and ask me to raise my daily wages more than my job, and dont hire the workers here again !!!
