Loved it! Traveling through from IL and decided to stop and try it. 100%!!! Got a butterscotch sundae that was absolutely delicious. The girls working were very sweet and got us our ice cream very quickly. They do only accept cash. If we are ever here again, we will definitely stop by once more!

I love everything at Dairy Kastle, but especially the dole….dairy free ice cream and the pineapple, strawberry, and coconut all slap. The owner even made a flower. Staff are always super sweet and it just never disappoints.

Prices were pretty good in my opinion. Got a taco in a bag, nachos, and a medium pumpkin shake for less than $10. The pumpkin shake was SO delicious- I will have to get it again. I was really impressed that they have vegan options for the shakes and food! Very cool and very progressive for such a small place. I see why its considered a Louosville favorite!

Took a toddler there to have some ice cream in a beautiful summer day. We all had a great time. The kid said- “ I love this ice cream”. 😃

My mom used to go here many many years ago and I have been going here for most of my adult life. Great ice cream and shakes.a classic place that doesnt seem to age. After a night on the town there is no better place to end with that Dairy Kastle.

Best place for ice cream cones or shakes, you can actually see the ingredients in the back. If you want blueberries in your shake you get actual blueberries... even if they do clog up the straw its worth it. Food is good but best described by ballpark fare. Heads up its local and a bit small so Cash only no cards but obviously the foods worth it or that would have changed by now.

My vegan coconut ice cream with Oreos was SO GOOD! I snuck a couple bites of my daughters vanilla with sprinkles and orange sherbert with sprinkles and both were also very good!!Great service.They are CASH ONLY right now. Not sure if that’s always or maybe POS problems?They are only open for the summer so they might be closing for off season soon.Not much seating but it’s very quaint & cute. A nice piece of Louisville history!

I love Dairy Kastle, pretty much anything on the menu is a winner - personal favorites include the Fat Elvis milkshake- peanut butter and banana, or the chocolate cow - kind of a coke float meets shake. The sundaes are also always good and I still want to try the strawberry shortcake, but man Fat Elvis always wins. Note - only takes cash. But a definite winner for hometown creations.

Best ice cream shop in Louisville Kentucky. It was my 1st job i ever had. I loved it. Friendly staff and their super outgoing and sweet. BEST ICE CREAM!!! Great prices. Not expensive or anything. Affordable for everyone. Kids-adults!!! Family and kid friendly and pet friendly. Its been there for years and years. Still doing great. Keep up the hard and great work everyone. I love you

Always delicious and worth the wait! If we have time to sit and eat, I love to get the chocolate ice cream in a waffle cone, but if were in a rush and I have to drive, their milkshakes are perfect! By far my favorite milkshakes, perfectly creamy and not too sweet!

This place is a gem of its neighborhood. Located on Eastern Pkwy, Dairy Kastle can regularly be seen with huge crowds lined up for their wares, and not without reason. They have a large menu of tasty soft serve ice cream treats as well as some hot offerings like hotdogs and walking tacos. Their prices are also very reasonable for what youre getting. They do not have solid procedures in place to protect from allergen exposure(peanuts), although the person I dealt with improvised for a good work-around to avoid cross contamination. The other fault is that they are a cash only business. In the age of square readers, this send unnecessary. I enjoyed my experience here, and my daughter loved her treat. She did not have an allergic episode. I sincerely hope Dairy Kastle stays around for years to come.

Ice cream was great as always, but the service was very poor. The young lady that helped us seemed rushed and aggravated, and after she took our order (which should have totaled out to be $6.30), I have her $11 and told her to keep the change. She then gave us our orders, but she gave me my ice cream in a cake cone rather than a waffle cone. She then demanded that I pay extra even after I had already over paid her, and after handing me back the waffle cone rudely said “for future reference, that’s a cake cone”, and then walked away. Would also like to point out she was the only employee not wearing a mask. She had gotten orders in front of me wrong, and I could hear other customers complaining about her service skills. I hope I don’t get served by her again.

Picked up a strawberry shortcake sundae and it was great! I think they must toast their peanuts. The cake is a touch dry but overall, its really good. Theres always a line but it seems to grow longer as the day goes on! Just glad I was in town to catch them open this time.

Small ice cream place on the corner. Mostly soft serve options. Outdoors eating only. Dog friendly, they have a milk bone doggy treat with water bowl for your four legged friends. Lots of great things to eat. I had the fireman special/Sunday, chocolate cake with ice cream and got chocolate on top. Add whip cream, nuts, and caramel, and let the food coma sweep over you.

Dairy Kastle was on point. Thick, creamy milkshakes and standard, skinless (the way I like) dogs, dressed perfectly and served promptly. A great treat throughout the warmer months, to be sure!

The Fat Elvis is a classic milkshake made with a fresh bananas, a spoonful of peanut butter, and vanilla ice cream. You cant go wrong ordering it! We also enjoyed the seasonal pumpkin shakes. There is lovely outdoor seating underneath the biggest gingko tree Ive ever seen.Just be aware that its cash only, so come prepared with cash.

This is a great local ice cream shop. Its great because its easy to walk to and its not expensive. The staff is always pleasant and efficient. They have a wide variety of menu items ranging from hot dogs to ice cream cones to shakes and floats. Its the perfect place for something cool on a warm summer day.
