Pretty good ice cream. I really liked the chocolate peanut butter. The cookie dough was ok.It was clean and pleasant. The staff was nice, but a tad slow.

For my money, Comfy Cow is the best ice cream in town. Im a big fan of their chocolate chip cookie dough flavor in particular. But honestly all of their flavors are great. Be warned that this location is on campus and parking is limited and annoying, but its better than driving almost to Oldham County just for parking.

You always get deluxe ice cream and service at The Comfy Cow. All sorts of decadent flavors plus traditional ones served on a cone or in a cup. Wooden bench seating in lively, friendly atmosphere. Please leave a tip for the guys and gals who dish it up for you!

A charming destination. Very homey and a delicious selection of ice cream. Its a little pricey, but worth the coin for tourists. Defintely a once in a while if you like whats the prices in the upper tier.

I love this place. Its more expensive than fast food ice cream but so much better. I personally enjoy the Cake Batter but they have a variety of flavors, some of which are seasonal and often rotate. Dont be shy to try them out, they are always more than willing to let you sample the flavors so you are sure you get the right one.

Lots of different ice creams to choose from and all of them great. I take my kids here for a reward for making the honor roll. Sample lots before choosing.They also have plenty of cozy seating to enjoy your deserts

The comfy cow provides wonderful ice cream and is authentic to Louisville. Service is always friendly and theres a wide range of changing flavors and varieties of ways to eat your delicious treat. I typically go for the bourbon balls but theyre all delicious. Its a bit pricy to eat frequently but worth it for a treat.

I love this place! Great Ice cream and service in a convenient spot near campus. This is a great place to stop by in the evening with friends. It has indoor and outdoor seating which is great for group hang times. This is a must stop if you are near U of L campus.

Yummy! I had Waiting on Santa, which is chocolate ice cream with sprinkles, and sugar cookie pieces! Tasty af! I always thought this place would be super expensive, well today at work during our secret Santa I got a gift card and I gotta say the prices are reasonable especially considering how awesome good it is!

As far as the ice cream its delicious! Seriously all I think I have a borderline problem with their mango white chocolate almond! However I brought my seven-year-old daughter there recently as I have many times before, and the person behind me in the line barely tapped the table, one of their photos flew off the wall, glass broke everywhere and shards of glass were in my arm. So I didnt want to be a stick-in-the-mud and I didnt do anything or say anything because there was a line.... needless to say I didnt get an apology from the staff they didnt stop what they were doing to come clean up the glass.. NOTHING. When its finally my turn and I sample two different ice creams and said I was having trouble deciding could she recommend something?? Well no way, she not only didnt answer me but then told me that there was a line behind me.. younger girl believe her name was mollyI replied look lady, I know that, because I was just standing in it, with broken glass, and not you or the other coworker asked if we were okay (my daughter, me, other customers) I couldnt believe she said that after everyone in front of me sampled five and six ice creams I only sampled 2! How dare her add insult to injury, (literally, I was scratched from the glass) however the young woman I spoke with a couple days after I gave myself a chance to cool off and really think on it name Samantha who is also an employee put my mind to ease, listening to my concern, and letting me know that that type of behavior would not and could not be tolerated... and thats why this establishment arent an extra star

I am an ice cream aficionado. This place may or may not be the best in Louisville (I have no idea since Ive never tried any others in Louisville), but the ice cream is just slightly above average. My judgement is based on their vanilla which is what I judge all ice cream places by. The texture was not quite right, and the flavor didnt have the classic home made taste that I was hoping based on advertising. Still decent and I loved their waffle cone as well as several of their flavors (The bourbon one and the maple walnut were great). Overall Id give a 3.5 if I could because it just doesnt stack up to home made ice cream that Ive had at other places.

Great ice cream. Selection of flavors can be overwhelming, but they will let you sample however many you want. Very pricey, expect to spend even more if you want something like a sundae or milkshake.

We are in town for the Christmas holiday and we are staying at a hotel near Fourth Street Live. Comfy Cow gets great reviews, so we figure it must be worth trying. So I go to the comfy cow website to determine their nearest location and hours of operation. The nearest location is the one on Cardinal Ave near the U of Louisville campus, and its open until 11:00pm. So we arrive about 9pm and there is a sign on the door saying theyre closed through the new year and to visit one of their other locations. Seriously? Its nearly 2017 and the only way you know how to communicate with your customers is by posting a sign on your door? What about updating your website? We are in town for two more days and I can assure you we wont go to another Comfy Cow location....well choose Graeters or Homemade Ice Cream and Pie Company.
