Mad City Windows & Baths did an amazing job with installing our windows. We purchased 5 new windows for our home that came with a lifetime transferable warranty for repair or replacement. They communicated effectively with us to schedule a day for installation. They were here promptly at the time indicated, were very professional in answering any questions I had about the process, completed the job quickly and efficiently while wiping everything down and cleaning the floors to ensure optimal satisfaction. Overall we were very impressed by their service. I would definitely consider them again for future home renovations.

My experience with Mad City was great. Even after multiple delays due to the pandemic, Mad City always made sure to contact me early and reschedule. The consultation was very informative and that was really what sold me to use Mad City. I had a bathroom with only a tub and I had them transform it into a tub/shower combo. Mad City Windows were contracted to replace windows and doors at our house. Did the job get done? Well yes. Is it complete? NO!!! Got 3 new doors and now have 4 keys for our house. This is after 3 different visits from them. They sent us parts but we had to install it as they didnt come out to rectify the situation.So they were scheduled to come 3-5 weeks after contract they were actually here 3 months later.Windows were ordered incorrectly and had to reorder. The reorder again was incorrect. And had to be ordered a 3rd time.They showed up without scheduling it, it just so happens that someone was home.Things were not picked up after the job was done. We had to clean things up and as you can see in the pictures that there was plenty of debris to pickup. Nails, screws, scrap metal, you know tire popping implements of destruction. I could see one here or there but this was pretty unbelievable.They had opened the wall to put in a patio door and had left the drywall uncomplete for weeks until I called and said something, they said that the office was never informed that it needed to be done.We have contacted them and have never gotten anyone who felt it was important to do anything about it.

Mad City did an excellent job of installing a new shower. There salesman Joe Jacobson is very professional and gives sound advice. When given a chance for a second shower at our house, he wisely advised that the project would take away from the house value and we reconsidered the project.

I had old style yellow oak kitchen cabinets. Instead of tearing them out, I decided to reface with MadCity. They were professional, efficient and did excellent work. My cabinet doors were re-made in a newer more modern style, the hinges are now on the inside and slow close, and the finish is beautiful. I am now proud of my kitchen. I would recommend MadCity based on quality of their product and work. These have a lifetime guarantee and being local, I am confident in their service in the future (though Im doubting I will have issues). Great experience from sale to installation.

We hired Mad City Windows & Baths to convert our old tub to a walk-in shower for health reasons. Our installer drove 2 hours from Janesville, worked 12 hours by himself with only one 10 minute lunch break, then drove 2 hours home. He was polite and did a very professional job. We are pleased with our new shower.

Following a seizure in our bathroom, I bruised and hurt myself on the tub. Paramedics helped me to safety. My husband insisted that we replace the tub with a walk-in shower. Mad City arrived in a timely manner with samples and estimates for a walk-in shower. Shortly after that, the tub was removed, a walk-in shower installed, complete with a shower chair, shelving units, shower wand and 🚿 nozzle that rains directly down. For safety reasons, we had four grab bars installed to help in maneuvering around the bath. We are very pleased with the work Mad City did. The installers were pleasant and sensitive to our needs. I would recommend their work and I do appreciate the guarantee they offer to stand behind their work.

Its been 5 months since I signed the contract and the job is not finished. I ordered all new windows for my entire house (16 windows). The quality is very poor compared to what the sales representative showed me. The screens are so thin and flimsy that they easily come off the windows and let in bugs. The window glass is thin and fogs up every morning.Twice now they ordered the wrong wood for the project. The screens rip easily and the last screen that needed to be ordered 2 months ago was never ordered.I was informed that I would be called by the production manager as soon as my order came in. Never heard from him. They are on their 3rd manager since then.The crew did not clean up the debris and garbage and tracked dirt/mud all over my carpet. Used my bathrooms without asking.It is very difficult to get a hold of a person to speak at the company. They are worst company Ive ever contracted and would highly NOT recommend them.

We werent sure about getting windows as we are first time homeowners and windows tend to be pretty expensive. Are these windows pricey compared to going to Menards or Home Depot? Yes. Are they 100% worth the value? YES! Great presentation for the windows and it was an easy process to get financing and get the appointment for the installation. My fiance stayed for the installation while I worked and when I got home, everything was clean, and we had brand new windows! Literally no hassle and the windows look great! Weve had them in for a while now and we have no complaints. Definitely will go through them again for any windows or work we need done on our house in the future.

We had Mad City Windows & Baths replace two large sliding windows in our home. The quality is outstanding--we could immediately tell that they had much better insulating power than our previous windows. We also were impressed with the installation, which was quick and painless. But the best thing about the windows is how much more visibility they provided for us to our beautiful valley. I never knew how much a difference having great windows made until we had Mad City replace two of ours!

Our large kitchen window had a crack in it prompting a representative to stop by. We allowed him into our home to tell us about the products. We were pleasantly surprised at the option to have it replaced and make payments monthly. After discussion, we decided to have the window replaced. They entire process was smooth and simple! From showing us the options, to helping select what would work best in our home, to setting up install and having the window replaced! The installers with quick and efficient. I especially loved that they were respectful in letting me know when it was going to get a little loud as I was also working from home at the time. We were very happy with our experience with Mad City and will certainly use them again when the time comes to replace more windows!

Last year we had all our upstairs windows replaced by Mad City. The whole purchase and installation experience was trouble-free and comforting. Use of the windows was very well explained, and they are so easy to open and close etc. The glass is interesting, as it lets in the sun when its LOW angled in winter, but blocks it when its HIGH angled in summer. I was skeptical but it actually works. Mostly, we could not believe how much more comfortable the upper floor of the house was during winter. SO WORTH IT for that reason alone, esp. the older you get. Then during the hot spells this spring and summer, our window A/Cs did not have to run near as much to keep us comfy. This year we had a big picture window + 2 flanking sash windows replaced in the dining room. This part of the room had always been cold... but same thing: much more stable temps, no drafts, and while its hard to put a price on comfort, we are definitely saving money on utilities. Highly recommend.

We called in Mad City to give us a quote to remodel our dark, dingy, dungeon of a kitchen. We werent sure what they could do, but were willing to give it a shot. Our sales rep, Jeremy, came in looked around and presented options to us. He helped pick color, cabinet styles, everything. Our oak boxes were good, so he suggested refacing them. I wanted a gigantic island; got that. I wanted easy to clean and maintain; got that. I didnt want high end counters in case I wanted to change them out later without spending a fortune; got that. Best of all, I wanted a huge wall of cabinets, floor to ceiling if possible, to use for pantry storage; got that! We were given exactly what we asked for and have received tons of compliments from friends and family. Thank you to all involved; probably the nicest crew of builders we ever worked with. Kudos!

Noyone use this place, not all workers are 100% professional. My Friends are out of state and I was at their place while this place was installing a shower. Good job but earlier I reported a safety concern to the company. A main worker found out later. Became upset, sarcastic, unprofessional and cancelled call with friends out of state. Friends wanted to see new shower ($23,000), ask questions if any and PAY for finished product. This worker flat out refused in the end even though that was the plan all day long which he agreed to. Disappointing when professionalism turns into a tantrum like a child over a legitimate safety concern for residents in the building. Thats naughty and completely unprofessional. Maybe this company would rather have OSHA investigate them.UPDATE: October 22nd I had a pleasant conversation with someone in charge. He assured me that he would address this on Monday. He also stated this person has a short fuse. Since this person obviously has anger/mental issues. This company should require him to see the appropriate Dr for help instead of ignoring issues. Before he continues to hurt clients, people and this business financially. Example, I had already recommended this place to another couple who wanted a new bathroom (there budget was $75,000+). Of course now I unrecommended this business. Plus I told many business owners that very night to blacklist this company. Again Im glad the person I talked to will address this on Monday. Hopefully the naughty person will be man enough to admit to everything he did. If he lies, is deceitful or says false things. Then of course he deserves to be fired.

We needed new windows, but were having some issues with our shower, so we ended up having both done. The shower is usually installed by a two man team, however the one co-worker needed a personal day. This young man stayed well past quitting time to get the job done in one day, which was much appreciated and it looks great! Then on a different day the 3-man team came to do my windows. They were very professional and nice. They even helped me with a bit of siding that had cracked! Super impressed and very grateful for their help. Great customer service!

Had great service with mad city. We had 13 original windows replaced in our 1920s home. Windows fit nicely with the home. Even got raindrop glass for our upstairs bathroom. Mad city made sure we were happy and even came back out to fix a minor problem. Would buy from again!!!

Very poor professionalism. My husband to be and I had a bath and shower combo put in. When the guys got there after making us wait 3 months they stood around for two hrs getting their equipment ready and doing about ten minutes of demo. Then the forman showed up and the trouble really started. He told us he couldnt do the work because the floor was not level. He also started listing other problems and saying Im not trying to get out of the contract. Ill schedule you in once these problems are fixed The phrase Im not trying to get out of the contract would scare anyone. So it scared me so much I called my friend who is a contractor and told him what was up as I watched the workers pack up their trailer and call someone and tell that person what was happening. Luckily my friend ame over and looked at the issues. It was not anything that needed fixing right away or that was preventing mad city from working. So they stayed and never finished the calling. They also put calk on my walls and the back of my toilet. Also they tracked calk all over my laundry room floor and left insulation on our steps and bed. We never got any gift card either. I dont care though because I cant get anyone to return my calls to fix my unhappiness. DO NOT WORK WITH MAD CITY! They scammed me and I may just

Very professional and knowledgeable salesperson. Of all the window and door companies in this region, this is perhaps the most expensive one. They seem to have one product which they promote. I have no doubt or qualms about the quality of the product, but I suspect there are others out there which they did not share with me.

I parked my vehicle across the street from my house in a pickup truck pulling a Mad City trailer shouted obscenities out his window I didnt think I did anything to upset him but not a good image for any business this happened after Dark around 7:20 so it probably was a long day and need to catch a couple of brews?

They had some logistical issues that made the install take longer than hoped, but they handled everything without complaint and without any other issues. Id absolutely recommend using them again, the new windows are lovely and were installed clean.

Mad City Windows kept me up-to-date as to when my window was made and when it would be delivered and installed. The 3 guys working on it did an excellent job of removing the old window, installing the new window and cleaning up after the install. I am very pleased with the product and the install.

Beautiful work!! Ive always dreamed of getting a fancy bay window one day and this year I finally did🙂 Im so glad I went with Mad City. Very professional from day one with sitting to go over the choices all the way to the end of installation. Installers were kind, professional, educated of service and cleaned everything up. Even though installation was fast and efficient, follow up for any issues is terribly lacking. I have been waiting 3 years for screen replacements that were warped upon installation and several months for repairs to 2 windows that will no longer stay open. I constantly get the run around and am passed off to different people or they place blame on on. I will never but from them again or recommend them. I am still waiting for repairs...it is absolutely ridiculous!!

This is my 3rd project with Mad City and they have done an excellent job on all three. I attached a picture of the bay window and cased windows they installed along with 10 other double hung windows. Everyone was responsive and professional from the sales people to the field guys. They all made sure I was happy.

They will be more expensive than other places and the gimmicky sales pitch is over the top, but the quality of the window and work is very much worth it. We had a crack in one window and our cat already tore through a screen. Because of their promise the window and screen is already replaced at no extra charge. And if we sell the house the window guarantee will move to the new owners making it well worth the cost.

Don’t use this company. Worked with them for 5 months trying to get a patio door replaced. After initially ordering the wrong size door, were terrible about communicating with us to keep us informed as to what was being done. Finally had to cancel order, and get our money back. We now have to start over with other companies in the area. Beware

We removed a cast iron tub and installed a tub - shower unit with a window kit. The finished product looks great and being that it is a small room i didn’t make the room feel any smaller. They even came back to install a matching grout color for a few tiles that were removed and reinstalled

I’d need to be writing for days to share our experiences with Mad City. We had 8 windows replaced in our condo. Two needed repair within months. The Customer Service at this company turns over every 3-4 months. I have pages of calls I’ve had to make (with the names of the customer service assistants I spoke to). One of the repair technicians actually told us people usually don’t last at Mad City for more than a few months. Today we were told our repair appointment would be between 8 and 10 am. It is now 12:30 pm. We received NO call from Mad City, and I had to call 3 times. EACH call I was told they were “on their way”. This is just par for the course with this company. We wasted another whole day. I can’t believe anyone gave this company a positive review.

The installation crew did a very good job and cleaned up when they were done. Windows are excellent!

The workers were polite and worked in the cold, pouring rain to complete the job and were able to get it done in two days. Professionalism was great. The windows could be better though. They are difficult to get to lock. I have to line them up just right to get them to lock and if they arent locked, the wind goes right through them. Im not sure the windows are quite worth the expense.

Would never use this company again. I was wary of using based on the other reviews I read but we went ahead anyways because it seemed like a good value. Was supposed to be done in two days. Took MONTHS to get them out. First day they spent hours setting up only to decide they couldn’t do the job. Had to come back out the next week with different crew, had to take another week off. They had to come back multiple times to repair different parts of the job. They left one wall of the shower completely undone. Shower head they installed was leaking. Put caulk over the old wall that was damaged that started cracking and peeling. I had to take ANOTHER day off so they could repair the damage they did to the tub during installation. They showed up at 2pm with an order to do drywall repair, which had already been done. They told me we have to contact someone else to repair the acrylics. They have cost us time, they cost us money, and they have caused nothing but frustration. I would never use this company again! Thousands of dollars we will never get back.

DO NOT use Mad City! If your sale person promised you their door and screen door are better than others, don’t listen! Our main concern was our screen door on our old door. I very specifically showed the sales guy how small the handle was and how difficult it was to operate. He assured, promised, us the new screen door would be better and that it would have a much bigger better handle for opening and closing! We signed on for a new patio door and screen door. The price the salesman started at was almost $9000. After a couple discounts, calls to his manager and etc. we agreed to $5000. $5,000 dollars later we are left with a patio door that the glass appears with ripples in it and a screen door that has an even smaller handle and to be able to lock it the screws stick out the casing outside so their solution was to saw them off and put a mess of caulk on them to make them stick. There is caulk all over our wood casing around the door. The solution for the small handle that didn’t fix the problem we wanted to fix in the first place when buying this new door is a 3M hook taped to the door. This is an absolute joke! I will never recommend Mad City to anyone!

Our new windows are great! The insulation crew was professional, respectful, and the job was done in a timely fashion. We have an old farm house and they replaced all windows, which was 27 windows. It was not a small or easy job. They did what they had to do to get the job done correctly. They even did a great job covering things and they cleaned up after themselves. I would recommend them 100%

The remodeling work for our new shower was well done, but average at best. They forgot to caulk around the top of the new shower, the hand-held shower attachment had a leak after installation, and the plumber had us wait for three days later to correct it. The entire job was sold to us as finishing in 1 day, but it was four days before we were able to use our shower. The foreman who spoke with me about the corrections stated that he would correct things by cutting the final cost - I never heard from him again. We feel that the cost was a lot more expensive than it should have been by the fact that a month later, we could have saved 40% according to television advertisements.

3 trips to my house so far, extra drill holes in the wall broken block under one window. Jobs still not done wrong windows 3 times. Separate company keeps calling me to pay, but wont take payment til job is done, and wont call the company who installs them. Windows are good, but I would never do business with them again. Period.

We have used Mad City Windows twice now for our replacement window needs. Their employees are very professional. From the sales person you meet with before ordering your window, the person they send to measure your windows, to the workers who do the installation. All were friendly, courteous and made sure all questions and concerns were taken care of.

The company gives big discounts to buyers who post outstanding reviews.Sales person came the other evening. Heres what to expect.-30-45 minutes explaining why Mad city is the best company. Has best warranty.-was in house for 1.5 hours. Was clear after 30 minutes of warranty lecture that we were not purchasing.-little to no material or instruction on actual door construction.-little to no variety in door types (nothing but square and rectangle designs)-only a set # of colors. Nothing fancy. Nothing modern.-used fear to try and sell warranty.-make it sound like installing a door was like changing a Ferrari engine. The reality is its like changing a bike chain.- knocked 27.5% off initial quote for 2 entry doors storm door.It took sales guy over an hour to tell me about company and warranty but only 5 minutes to pick out door.Heres where I started to laugh. Quote for basic storm door. Basic entry door with 1/4 lights. And basic rectangular pattern garage entry door. Wait for it.... $12000!!Basic 36x80 door!Are the doors made of gold?$12000 for 2 steel doors and a basic storm door.HahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahThey wanted $9567 to replace the standard size storm and main entrance shown with other custom (but standard) sized door!!!!!!!!!!$9567 FOR A STORM DOOR AND STEEL ENTRANCE DOOR.

Mad City recently replaced several windows for us. We were amazed and extremely pleased with their work in every respect. The initial consult was insightful and to the point. We were in SERIOUS need of a new bathroom. Ours was the original from when the house was build waaaay back. The tub was green for goodness sakes! But we saw an ad and decided to give Mad City a call. The original quote was more than we wanted. Not the quote itself, but we got talked into things we didnt truly want and the price was out of our budget. The next day we called and said we wanted to pass; but a manager came to talk to us and after we explained everything we really wanted, we got a second quote and knowing that we were finally heard made the difference. We have a new shower stall and we couldnt be happier! The workmen were here by 8 am and gone by 4pm. They were nice, polite and worked quickly and efficiently. Now that we had the new shower, we planned the rest of our bathroom off that shower. It has made a HUGE difference in our house and we cant recommend Mad City enough.

I am so very pleased with my windows ! Very professional, absolutely no hard sell, the rep was very informative, no pressure and what a great deal offered! What an upgrade to my home ! The installers were very orderly and efficient ! Thank you !

We have had nothing but trouble. First one of our shelves started falling out not even six months after installation. The caulk/grout around it, crumbling to nothing. Then the sliding door started catching/scraping. They sent someone to fix it in November. Now the door slowly drifts open while you are taking a shower, and a second shelf is falling out with crumbling caulk/grout. Told to open a ticket, but it might be a while because they are very busy.Very disappointed! We spent a lot of money and should not have to be dealing with these issues.We also participated in a program to get gift cards in exchange for leaving good reviews. Left the reviews as requested on Oct. 21, to date we still havent gotten the gift cards. It is one thing to reward positive reviews, it is a whole other thing to claim to pay for positive reviews and then just not do it!I would not recommend Mad City at this point. Look in to other options.

This review is only for the in-home estimate.In-home estimate and product demonstration is quite thorough and sales-pitchy (think timeshare presentation). We are new homeowners and were genuinely interested in an estimate because we had no idea what it would cost to replace our shower. Afterward, like other reviewers, we also never received the promotional Walmart gift card or voucher. Since it IS part of the offer, I followed up multiple times with the salesperson but no luck. During the presentation, he was very knowledgeable and pleasant. If you cant trust them to follow through on something so simple, I recommend looking for an estimate elsewhere.

We have had Mad City Windows and Baths replace two windows in our home as well as replace our shower tub in our guest bathroom. These people are professionals! From scheduling our initial visits, to completing the work, they were courteous, timely, tidy, and efficient. The finished products look and work great! One of our replacement windows was not quite the same color of finish as the original when they arrived. No problem; they took the window back and returned within a couple weeks with the correctly stained window. No guff, no problems and a good looking window. I highly recommend Mad City Windows and Baths!

Tried to set up an estimate and was hung up on because I couldnt guarantee my husbands attendance at the appointment. Rude, condescending and unprofessional. Glad I found out now.

Mad City came and in 1 day ripped out the old tub and replaced it and the walls with a new acrylic tub and liner. They did a great job with the installation.

We had our kitchen cabinets done... They look beautiful. The guy was very professional who came and did them.. I also got 2 new windows put in the kitchen and the guys who came to do that were also professional and on time. The drawers were ordered the wrong size so I had to go a week without drawers... I signed up at a craft show for a free consultation... I was told we would get money off AND free interest.. They did not allow my husband and I time to discuss bas we wouldnt get the money off if we didnt sign the night he was here... Also was then told we dont get the free interest... Over priced as we didnt get new cabinets just got ours wrapped in llaminate..Company is very professional and polite.. Lifetime warranty is awesome!

Mad City windows and bath did an amazing job on our outdated shower. We love the results, I would highly recommend them.
