Best buy not only has everything you may want in the electronics industry but the customer service is great too. They are very knowledgeable, honest and most of all friendly. They saved me $1200 dollars off of a scam on the internet thank you so much.

If it could be 0 it would be. Purchased a new Visio TV and was missing one of the legs for it. It was a chore to get a minimal $50 refund which they said was the max they could do because of the manufacturer and I had to drive back to the store which was a 90 minute round trip. Apparently that was all they could do. It cost that much in mileage to drive there and back not to mention my time and the inconvenience it caused. They say they are about making the customer happy but really its about their bottom line, money. Words of apology are nice but if they arent met with action they are platitudes that mean nothing. Next time this happens offer to deliver another one that day. It shouldnt be that hard to realize that was the best solution. Wont ever come back to this best buy and Id suggest going somewhere else.

Best Buy used to be great... When Circuit City started to kick their ass with costumer service they became very responsive and they wanted to help you. They hired people that wanted to work, knew the product they were selling and were grateful for a job.Now they hire people who just want to go home. Circuit City isnt around anymore so they have no need to be better than anyone.Go into a Best Buy, stand in an isle and wait for someone to ask you if they can help you, it will take a while.The only reason they are still open is because they have actual people to talk to about the product, who take forever to realize you are waiting for assistance, you can get everything a lot cheaper online now a days.And THAT is why Best Buy is pissing everyone off.WE MISS YOU CIRCUIT CITYSincerely, Cameron Hove and the rest of the unhappy customers.

We were there right at open time of 11 am. The doors were still shut. When they were opened about 5 minutes late, associates were ready to assist, and it was a pleasant, albeit short visit, as I was there to assist an associate.

Helpful Geek Squad staff at this location. Although they did schedule me for a 10AM appointment and request I show up 5 minutes early... Yet refuse to open the doors for us until 10AM. So then dont say be there early if you have a 10AM appt. But they were able to assist me in my computer needs and were friendly and informational.

RAVE to Chris at Best Buy (Mason City, IA). He tried a bunch of different carrier sim cards before we found a GSM carrier that I was happy with. It took at least a half an hour, but he was patient, helpful, knowledgeable, and walked me through the entire process!

Matthew was extremely helpful and helped my husband & I dodge a horrible purchase! We were debating which television 📺 to purchase my daughter and were looking for help. As soon as Matthew saw me standing there looking confused, he ran right over! We were debating a Fire TV versus a smart tv. Smart TV was more expensive so I asked which he would recommend and without hesitation to pointed to all the televisions on display with black screens (Fire TVs)and explained why smart tv was better route to go. My husband had a few other questions and Matthew’s honesty and knowledge made our decision in 5 minutes! Matthew carried the television to the checkout and rang us up all while making nice conversation! I let Mathew know we appreciated his honestly and I would put in a good review ASAP!! I have a number of friends who work at Best Buy, and they have always been extremely helpful. I look at some of these other reviews, and honestly wonder if the people LISTENED to what the salesmen said, or just heard what they wanted to hear. My experience at Best Buy mobile was great, and a million times better than my experience at the nearby Verizon.Other reviews mention that they stood around for awhile and no-one helped them check out... did you try ASKING someone for help? If the associate near you is busy, they can always radio for someone who isnt busy to come help you. Honestly, its not like the employees have x-ray vision and can anticipate your every need and desire.

Too bad we had to lose Bestbuy, I bought my laptop there in 2010 and it still runs. I was hoping to buy My Next TV from the Mason city Bestbuy.Its too bad they couldnt work something out with the tite-wad landlord. Hopefully Bestbuy can return to our area at a different location Someday.Now I will have to commute to the Waterloo location, Which is about 70 miles away in order to buy my TV.For people in Mason city its 88 miles to the Ames Location.A big Thanx goes out to all the Men and Women who worked hard to keep our Mason city location going that are Now working somewhere else.No Thanx Goes out to that greedy Tite-wad landlord that threw our local Bestbuy Under the Bus Due to Raising the lease rent.

Customer service and employee knowledge here are exceptional! The only real problems I have with it is that one, being a smaller location in a smaller town, they dont have quite as good a selection for me (I primarily shop for computer parts) and two, their prices vary wildly. Some items they have great deals on and are super affordable, other items I find unfortunately overpriced. Overall, it is a good place to shop for electronics and I would recommend it, just be aware of what you are looking for and be willing to compare prices.

The Mason City branch of Best Buy is probably the worst BB I have ever been in. Product scrambled around not in the right spot. (Even after a couple of weeks...) But the worst are the empty unstocked shelves. Since November, (now February) empty shelves of it should be here any day now products.

Waited around for 20 minutes for assistance on getting a brand new phone. Watched 3 blue shirts talk like they were on a coffee break the entire time. Finally got help, just to find the scheduling got screwed up and they didnt have anyone there that could activate a phone. Huge waste of my time, especially since I dont live close to Mason City.

The worst customer service Ive ever had. Spent short of $400 and was told the purchase didnt matter to Best Buy. Them exchanging their defective product was customer service enough. I asked for help transferring a screen protector they refused any help on doing it or even telling how I should do it without messing it up. I asked to use the squeegee he told me no because its a speciality tool. He was kind enough to offer to charge me to put it on though. I just cant figure out how $400 doesnt matter but $7 to transfer a screen protector from their defective product to the new one does.

Bought a laptop a year and a half ago and it stopped working. I called and explained to Geek Squad what the problem was. They had me make an appointment to come in.I drove an hour there just for them to tell me Ive had it too long and need to contact HP. I was there for a total of 30 seconds for an hour drive. The person helping me was very nice and said that they should have asked me how old the laptop was before having me come in... ummm I told them! Very very frustrating and a waste of my Saturday.Also, dont buy an HP. They dont stand behind their products and want to charge me $600 to fix a $400 laptop... junk.

Apparently they charge 25$ to recycle a 23 inch monitor......... Should of left after doing it since i figured it was free, until i went to purchase a new monitor and got stoped by a rude employee... Guess im switching to amazon no matter if it takes weeks to get her by shipping Good Job Best buy.

I have been here twice and both times went pretty well. The first I found and bought a rare exclusive TV show called Touch and they even price matched it with Amazon. The second time I bought a music album for my brother and everything went as it should. Only downside about the store is that it is very small and they do not sell Macs.

Just like any other best buy. Nothing special here.Most Best buy employees really do not know much about anything tech related. Best Buy is a retail store and all of their employees are hired to sell items. They will sell you something that is crazy over powered for what you need and will then try to sell you additional add-ons. I really cannot condone this business practice as it is company first rather then customers first. Avoid ANY warranty they will try to sell as it is useless and avoid any add-ons like debloating or Geek Squad Protection. The employees are good people (please dont get the wrong impression. I know some of the employees there and they are all great people) but corporate is running Best Buy for the money rather then the customers and its showing.

Matthew was a huge help today. Came in looking for HDMI to mini USB cables so we could stream from the tablet. Matthew showed us a better & less expensive option, purchased Chromcast. Then we talked to him about Roku & he gave us the info needed....so we purchased that too. Still spent less than we would have elsewhere just to get the cables we thought we wanted. Thanks Matthew!

I find this place very helpful theres a very good store every time I go there I have a great experience Ive never had a problem with the store or Geek Squad the only time I seem to have a problem is when I call the number besides that I can always get a hold of song they always have the product I need always for a good price and the employees have good information on the products they have always friendly staff waiting and greet and help you with anything
