I stopped in on a whim on a Saturday afternoon in August to have my hair done for a wedding I was in and Mary was such a joy. She kept me relaxed and at ease since it was my first time ever having my makeup done. Her shop was very clean and tidy and she did a good job keeping everything sanitary. She was a breath of fresh air and i always find myself referring others to go there for wedding, school dance, pictures, or other special occasion makeup services. Mary runs a great business!

I always look forward to stopping in to her studio to see whats new, to pick up my Merle Norman makeup and to chat with Mary. We all have that land field of cosmetics that the color wasnt right or maybe the foundation was too heavy, that blue eyeshadow that you saw was pretty but you tried it on and you looked ridiculous! Do you realize how much money is sitting in your land field, some people think they are pricey but in all reality I dont have a land field anymore so Ive saved money!! I do not live close to a Merle Norman store, and last year I found this one online while searching for a MN store that does mail orders. Mary Shea has been so very helpful by phone or email in discussing/describing various products with me since I cannot see them in person, and she is prompt in taking payment and shipping the orders. She has a special which allows mail order customers to purchase a sample of many of the products for $1 each. This has been so helpful to try without buying the full-sized product. Also, she has been running monthly specials this summer.

Merle Norman makes quality products, but Mary is the key to this small town gem location. Mary is a very knowledgeable, caring, beauty consultant. She takes her time with each customer to give a personalized skin care and makeup regimen. You can try products in store before you buy, even schedule a full makeover session. Monthly specials/discounts are offered through emails. The store itself is immaculate. I feel glamorous after every visit.

Hands down, this is my favorite place to purchase cosmetics. Not only do Merle Norman products work great (this is coming from someone who had to try countless makeup products/brands before finding Merle Norman), but Mary (shop owner) just makes the entire experience enjoyable/easy-going. I live about 90 miles from the Lake Avenue Merle Norman store. I had contacted Mary Shea about a year ago trying to locate a seasonal lipstick. She was out of stock, but went out of her way to find the product for me and then shipped it to me. I was so pleased to meet her personally when we stopped at her store on our way to Salem, Ohio this Spring. She has been taking care of my sensitive skin needs ever since. Mary is constantly keeping in touch by send monthly promotions and deals in the mail. She offers and provides free facials and lets me sample a product before I purchase it. I have only once gone back to drug store products and was disappointed when I found how over priced they were and how short they last. One bottle of $20.00 Brillant-C Cleanser from Merle Norman lasts me almost 5 months and keeps my face completely blemish free. I will continue to faithfully use these products and support Marys business!

My mother and I quit going there for two reasons ..1. Its a very expensive cosmetic store...No discount savings or weekly specials!! 2.The studio opens up way after 10:15am and you have to WAIT and WAIT for the the owner to turn on lights and get everything up and running.Needs to be prompt and doors open at 10am!!
