Nothing was wrong with the truck or initial service. However, upon trying to return at about 8:46pm 7/2/2021 the uhaul website would not allow me to return or complete the return the truck online since it was after hours. Hope they dont charge me cause I took pics of everything just in case. Keys were put into drop box and everything was clean and gas is filled.

This just might be one of the worst U-Hauls in the United States of America. I regularly came here probably three four times a week constantly for the last three or four months. My vehicle runs off propane and as you know U-Haul sells propane. Well this particularly you will haul location does not understand what customer service means. One day I showed up I rang the bell and I waited for 5 minutes when I went inside there was nobody waiting The person behind the counter was just sitting there looking at me and I asked for propane help. She stated to me that she wasnt certified and there was no one else there. I said well it would have been nice to let me know before I waited out here for 10 minutes. Her reply was you only waited 5 minutes. I came back a week later only to be treated with worse customer service and be yelled at. The people employed here Make you feel like youre totally putting them out for asking them to do their jobs. They are rude and have no sense of customer service or pride in their work. Please avoid the shoe haul at all expenses.

Love this location, Manager Karsyn is always on top of everything. Trucks are always running great and cleaned out well. Will definitely be renting again soon!! A+++

I was just refilling my propane tank. There were 3 attendants, 3 people in line, 2 people renting trucks. It took all 3 to do the rentals and finally, after about 20 minutes, one of them finally asked if they could help me. I was the only other customer. It literally took them 3 people to do 2 rentals and all they were doing was a drop off. And then the man who helped me had an injury and needed my help to fill my tank. I had to do all the lifting. First time ever. So much for customer service.

I had a hitch and wiring installed at this location. They gave me the wrong date when it would be delivered and then when I called they couldnt give me any ETA when it would arrive even though the part was at another location 8 miles away. Estimated install time was 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Their only hitch installer spent 5 hours on it. When I went to pick it up there was no installer there to ask any questions or check functionality. Fast forward a week later and I get my new trailer delivered. 1st problem ball on receiver mounted too low. I told the installer I need 14 of clearance. Now the trailer is tongue heavy due to the installer not reverse mounting the ball. Once I plugged the pig tail into my trailer I get no turn signals only brake lights. I thought it was faulty wiring on the new trailer possibly but I checked with a lighted receiver I bought and it was the same issue. I called this location back to see if they could troubleshoot and there only installer is on vacation until sometime in October. I found another location that would check it but they were twice as far to drive. STAY AWAY from this location for hitch installations!

Great place to fill a 30 lbs propane tank. Quick service and the propane tank fill is centrally located in the parking lot.

I had and appointment for 2 months for hitch installation and it never arrived. I showed up for my appointments 2 times to find out that the hitch was never delivered. I needed it for a move. I wish they would’ve communicated with me about other options sooner because it’s too late now. Moving is stressful enough, I don’t need my time wasted like this!

Showed up for a 30lb propane cylinder refill. Apparently no one was checked put on that equipment. Really U-haul.

I agree with other reviewers that front desk employees of Main & Lindsay U-haul Moving (atleast those Ive encountered) look and act like they dont want to be there or dont want to see you. During a recent transaction on rental, the owner said that if Im booking a rental online, I might have kicked someone else from their reservation. I was flabbergasted at his knowledge on how software works. Just know that you will be dealing with some low IQ and EQ folks. Be a lamb and suspend all your intelligence and judgement when you walk into those doors.

I gave this U haul location my debit card to reserve a u-box storage space for my daughter who was moving across country to live in Az with us. I paid $1600 to have this box transported here and because I found another place that offered to store it for $55 a month, U haul matched that. It was a fiasco when it arrived. Once it was stored, my daughter set up the account in her name with her card number for direct withdraw. After 4 months I realized they were pulling $126 out of my account every month without permission and double charging me. $500 was withdrawn before I realized it. After being put in the phone que for 30 min, I was able to reach a Manager named Jillian. She referred me to Jeff the GM. Jeff assured me he would refund the incorrect amount within 24-48 hours back into my account. 3 days later it had not been done. I phoned back and went another 45 minutes in the phone que before I got Jillian again. She told me Jeff was incorrect and it would probably take another week to show up. So I waited and called after it still had not been refunded after a week. I went back into the phone que for another 30 minutes on hold until I got Jillian again. She told me that she did not remember me and that she speaks to too many people everyday and that she would leave a message for Jeff. No one ever returned my call. After a couple more days I called several more times and had to wait on hold in the phone que for 2 HOURS and 15 MINUTES and was finally transferred to a customer service Rep in another location who told me I can thank the Government for my phone frustration because we are paying too much unemployment and they are short staffed because nobody wants to work. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? I ranted for a few minutes explaining what I had been through and he sympathized. He said it was ridiculous and gave me the info for someone in corporate. In the mean time he set up a time for that location to pull the box so we could go and remove everything to cancel the contract. My daughter called that morning and we were assured they had pulled it. I paid someone to meet us with a truck and guess what? It wasnt pulled. So the kids behind the counter ignored us and just said they werent certified to get it down. So we rescheduled and it wasnt out again. I made my daughter go up early and tell them we were not leaving until it was down. I sent my husband and another truck. I have never seen such unbelievable customer service. These people just do not care and the phone que is unforgivable. I will never use U Haul again and I will be filing a claim against them for illegally taking money out of my account. I have yet to receive a phone call back from either of the managers about the issue. They just put you back in the phone que and hope youll give up. I have never been so upset with an organization. Do not use this location. I have never been shown so little respect for all of the things that went wrong. They dont even try to make up an excuse and the Managers are conveniently never there. Never again!!!!!!! Shame on all of you for just being bad people.

Edited to add: I contacted uhaul via Facebook and was connected with the store finally. The problem was then quickly resolved.We had a hitch installed on our Jeep here. They did poor work and messed up the wiring for the taillights/blinkers. They do not answer the phone or emails. My husband had to drive there to make an appointment to have it fixed but I was unable to make the time they offered my husband and we were unable to get ahold of anyone to cancel that appointment. Its hard to find time to make the 20+ drive just to make an appointment to fix work that they messed up. I just wish I could get through on the phone to make an appointment.

Horrible customer service from the girls in the front. Seems like they were irritated they had to do their job. Go elsewhere for better service.

Jeff and His staff are always respectful professional and I truly appreciate the great customer service They always give when I go in there. I rent anywhere from 5-10 times a month and it’s always great! I’d rather drive an extra 10Minutes to go to this location. Highly recommend for trailers and uhaul trucks!Thank you all for always being accommodating!

I ordered the truck and all of the equipment online. When I arrive to the store to pick it up, I was informed that the dolly and other equipment was not in stock in the store, even though it was listed as available online. By this time it was too late to order from another location. So I had to move everything without a dolly and other equipment. It made my move extremely harder than it needed to be. The owner didn’t even apologize and to make things worse, I was still charged $7 for a dolly! Worst U-haul experience ever. Trust me, go to another location.

Got a hitch installed on my car recently. It was originally pretty pricey to get the hitch and wires all installed. The manager said he would price match. I was able to find a place much cheaper in phx. I went back to the manager at the U-haul place and he price matched. They were friendly and very helpful. Its only took about an hour to install. Great place 👌

I just bought a new SUV and had them install a hitch, of course they didn’t give me the right wiring so it turned into a nightmare trying to find someone to fix it. Made an appointment here - not only were they super nice, they completed it quickly which was amazing for my super busy schedule. definitely recommend them and will be back!

Been dealing with multiple uhauls while moving friends, family and myself in the past few months and this one was by far the best. Super relaxed stress free environment. Easiest part of my move.

This is a good place to store household items and rent equipment. The people are helpful and treat their customers well. They monitor the storage units and will call you if they notice you locked the unit incorrectly or other issues. Will definitely use this facility in the future. I have rented a storage unit, returned a one-way rental & rented a truck for a local move. Everyone there is easy to talk with. Dave is particularly helpful.

Had a hitch installed on my car. Telephone customer service was great setting up the appointment and having the location call me to confirm. Hitch had to be ordered, took about a week because of the holiday. Install was today, was quick (a little over an hour) and staff was very friendly. Thanks!

Great service. On my installation day there was a mix up and I needed to reschedule. Its ok stuff happens. Uhaul made up for the mistake and I was please with the discount for my troubles. Showed up for my installation today and it was done quickly and I was treated great. Very happy and will use them in the future!

Great customer service. This review is regarding the propane refill service which I used several times during my stay here in Mesa. They were always friendly and efficient even during the last few very demanding cold days. It would be my suggestion that they appoint someone just to refill propane on those kind of days. Us RVers need our propane to stay warm and there are a lot of us around these parts.

If I could rate it no stars I would. THIEVES! Dont go here unless u want random charges on ur bank account. Called customer service to inquire about the random charges, they werent able to give me an explanation. I prepaid $63 for a pickup truck, brought it back when I was supposed to, put gas in it etc. When I arrived to drop the truck off I was met with rudeness from the employees. I was rushed out of there and they didnt even go over the charges with me. I wake up the next morning with two random $20 charges from Uhaul so in total I paid $100+ for a pickup truck that I only used for 2 hours.... Dont go here.

Great Experience! I needed my hitch moved up and my trailer needed to be unhooked in order to do that. The great guy working there came out and helped me do all of that and move my hitch up and didnt even charge me a penny. I will definitely go back for in a U-Haul needs in the future!

I needed a pick up truck for a quick project and getting lots of pallets. Went in to this location cause they had trucks available and they were really nice and gave me such an awesome deal for also taking some pallets off their hands. It was the beat experience ive had at uhaul and appreciate it more than they probably know. Jeff was awesome at getting me the great deal and getting me in and out quick. I would definitely recommend this location!

I have rented items a few times before, but today was the real winner. Earlier in the day I was out on the motorcycle when the clutch cable broke. I went in, talked to Jeff and told him I needed a truck and trailer for about 90 minutes. He gave me a break on the rate and I was able to get my motorcycle to the shop before they closed. These guys are awesome.

Caution: Staff do not wear protective face masks in the store, they believe that a very small piece of plexiglass will protect them you! When asking about trailer rentals. They were very rude and gave me the run around, and finally informed me that they had no trailers at this location.

I am a senior and a vet. I write very few reviews because I dont think a company should be complimented just for doing the job they should be expected to do and what Im paying them for.But when a company stands out with superior exceptional service and considerations to me, that is when I feel a special recognition is warranted. And that is certainly the case with the U-Haul at Main and Lindsay in Mesa. You could not possibly get a U-Haul dealer who will bend over backwards more to help you or give you a more exceptional rate for a rental. I have rented from several U-Hauls in different states and nobody compares to the considerations given to me by Jeff and his team. Jeff, Ariana, Keith--they will do whatever they have to and beyond, to make you a happy customer.On my last rental which was a one-way trailer rental going 1,800 miles, the rate they gave me was less than what anybody would believe. When I went to get the trailer--after they had already hitched it my car--they had difficulty getting the lights to work. At the same time while they were working on that, I noticed the tires werent in the best shape either for a trip of that distance. I asked if they wouldnt mind switching me to a trailer I saw parked there among other trailers that had nearly new tires.It was a blazing hot Arizona day and this was a 12 foot trailer which is not easy to lift off of a hitch ball. It has a very heavy tongue. But without hesitation they removed the trailer, moved other trailers out of the way to access the one I wanted and connected that to my car. They then continued troubleshooting why the lights werent working properly. Id just a couple months earlier had them install the Class III hitch and wiring harness anticipating the trip. So they re-diagnosed the wires inside my trunk and found that one wire hadnt been crimped quite tightly enough to make a connection. Upon doing that, all the lights worked exactly as they should.So very happy that I had a trailer with great tires and all the safety issues resolved and lighting working perfect, I was getting in my car to leave. Ariana, the manager on duty, came running out of the office and said because you had issues with the inferior tires and had to wait for the lighting to be fixed, I am going to discount the rate another $50.I couldnt believe it. I wont tell you what the rate was initially that I was given, but this made it so inexpensive I dont know how they could do it and still stay in business. And this didnt happen on just on one occasion. I was treated the same way for THREE different rentals and equipment installs I had done there. Jeff and all the staff, I want to thank you for all you did for me being on my small fixed income.I can tell you I am not always an easy person to please. You will NEVER find nicer or more caring people than the ones at Main and Lindsay. I am no longer in Arizona and wont be able to benefit any more from the outstanding discounts and treatment I received on rentals and work that I had performed. I am confident I will never find another U-Haul who will compare should I ever need one where I am now.I cannot recommend highly enough that you utilize this Mesa U-Haul for any of your moving or rental needs.If you do, I think you will find that this is a company of rare exception in the trailer and truck rental industry. I certainly feel they are.

This is one of the very few full-service centers around. Theyre not some rinky-dink operation doing business out of a strip mall or dirt lot.They have a lot of trucks and trailers in many sizes. They are professionally managed and Ive usually had positive experiences with the staff here.Their little inside store is also stocked with a decent variety of moving supplies and they sell boxes for the lowest prices Ive found anywhere.Ive rented six motorcycle trailers from them over the past three years with consistent results.

Did not honour advertised price. Propane bottle was advertised Online for 34 dollars and change. Went to location and was told it was $45 because “we changed our supplier”. If you change your supplier then PLEASE change your advertised price as well. Borderline “bait and switch”

I recently used their services to move. The staff was helpful, knowledgeable, and humorous. They did a great job of explaining my contact and the process to renting the Uhaul was relatively simple. Id definitely recommend!

Best U-haul experience I have had. These guys know how to multitask and how to be pro-active when customers are waiting in line. They are also very friendly and honest when they charge. Talk about in and out the door!

Customer service rep Preston is a very dishonest and arrogant, this individual will act as if he can assist you and will in return play your situation as if you as the customer are very stupid, his lack of educating his client in which he is serving to have better knowledge of the services in which the client is paying for is ranked the absolute lowest in the industry. If you are moving cross-country this place is great. We had no issues with the staff the equipment and the installation of a hitch on our car. We were three days late with the trailer and they didnt charge us any extra. I gave us a free month storage with the whole deal.

On the phone they talked to me as if they didn’t care and sounded all bratty. They closed the door at 6:59 and said they’d be open till 7:00.

Update: There is a lack of communication between the call center and main offices. Since no one called back, I had to go in and talk to someone in person to get this fixed. After the guy looked at the contract, dates, times, etc., it was agreed there was an overcharge, even before taking in the one extra day that was supposed to be compd. After some technical difficulties, the difference was refunded. So, in short, easy to rent from, be mindful of your dates and contract, and be wary of the third party movers they recommend to you because they definitely dont work holidays, even if the site lets you book them.I used Uhual three years ago, was unhappy and swore never to use them again but last week, couldnt remember the reason why. I injured myself trying to move all my stuff by myself and used their movers service to hire someone to help. The company (Monsoon Movers) hadnt called or contacted the day I scheduled that job nor did they call the following day and I called Uhual to tell them and they offered a free one day/24 hour extension while I tried to find someone else. Unfortunately, it was Labor Day so no one was working but the other company I got called me immediately after I made the schedule and showed up first thing the next day. I returned the van almost three hours prior to the deadline which means I shouldve only been charged for two days but got charged for FOUR days. Also, rental tax is 13.05%!? Fine, then I shouldve only been charged, mileage and environmental fees included, $76.10 but was charged $145.85! I called to discuss this and they said the local store would call me back and no one has.

Spoke with a gentleman at this location on the phone and told me that if I came down before they closed and filled out a contract I could pick the tow dolly up later that evening when I had my truck available to use. Upon arriving we were met with haste and hostility from an employee named Kaylee. Acted as if we were some kind of scam artists looking to sue them off of a claim. Unfamiliar and not confident in either her companys or u-hauls policies. We will be taking our business else where as well as encouraging everyone we know to do so too.

Sent us on our way to California without securing the strap. This was the 1st location we went to and picked up the truck. Later we noticed a strap intended to wrap around the tire of the car we were towing on their trailee kept slipping off. I called a location close to us and they assured us that all was fixed. It was not, it kept slipping off. We ended up stopping at a gas station, jacking the car up some on the trailer only to discover that they had it all twisted and caught on a piece of the trailer. It wasnt going to work from the beginning. Not one, but 2 locations let us down. We ended up fixing our own problem, thankfully, but the stress and anxiety of a move should never be added onto by something like this.

Decent compared to the rest of the U-Hauls ive been to in the past. Ive yet to have an issue with this one. Great customer service, even offered a bit of a discount and always have everything you need in stock!

Be sure to check mileage before you leave becauSe they like to rip u off and say u drove more than u actually did, try and rent from home depot they might be honest

Went here to fill some propane tanks, service was good and the guy who helped us was knowledgeable and polite.

Failed to have the truck we reserved two separate times in the same day. We wanted a 20 but ended up with a 17 truck. After pulling teeth with Uhaul management they ended up honoring the $50 guarantee ($100 total) for each mess up.The staff at this location is friendly and professional, but upper management that we never saw face to face was terrible.

This store is horrible they messed up my billing and they cant seem to fix it which is such a lie! Its been two months and allegedly no one knows how to solve the problem. I went to the actual store very upset and they gentleman who helped me was very rude and he flipped me off which I do have a picture of him doing. I have been with uhaul for 3 years using the storage service I have never had any issues till now. It seems as if they have new management and they have no idea what they are doing. Its obvious they are only there for a check they dont care about how customers are treated.

Crazy me desided to go to U-haul on the last weekend of the month to pick up some boxes and propane. Boy was it busy! And that is great.Skylor Howe was so nice, he took the time to help me figure out how many boxes I needed for my china and was very helpful. He got the propane tank filled, and appologised for how long everything was taking. Kept a smile on his face even when the computer didnt want to work! thank you so much for everything.
