Salesperson I spoke to grunted at me and brought me the keys but not much else, so dont expect much. Car I saw smelled funny, probably smoked in, wish the listing said that... And, in addition to lots of damage, it was filthy. There was even a boot print on one of the seats. I understand trying to keep costs down, but when you have your own detail shop across the street does it really affect the price that much to clean the car?

I got a Ford Taurus from them to get back and forth to dialysis, a week after I bought the car the transmission started leaking they said they was going to fix it four times. They never fixed the car then when I tried to go get my money back they told me that it was nothing they can do because I signed the (as is agreement) and I was lucky that they was trying to help me, they are nothing but scammers dont trust them, horrible service horrible cars stay away from this place at all costs

My experience was disappointing. No one enjoys having a pushy salesman or two immediately invading their personal space when shopping for a car. At Headers I received absolutely no attention from the salesmen. When I eventually entered the sales office to ask where I could find my chosen few, I was informed that each of the seven automobiles advertised for sale on the Headers website that held my interest had been sold to another long before the day of my visit. Expecting an offering of automobile alternatives available to purchase, I was surprised when none were forthcoming. I felt as if my money wasnt worth a plugged nickel at Headers Auto Sales.

They are very good with car service and Wade is a good person and a good sales man in cars.

Unprofessional, I talked with them last Friday and agreed on phone about deal and came to this dealer all the way from Chicago Monday. Suddenly when I got there they sent car to the body shop and car won’t be here until Thursday. I can’t believe they wasted my whole day

Found a decent car in our price range.

Cars were all dirty inside. Some had a high concentration of cigarette smells. Others had dog hair and evidence of former owners snacking habits like fast food wrappers, fries, chips, etc. Headers has a auto detail shop across the street and I find it hard to understand why the autos for sale are presented this way. The two cars I did test drive had the check engine light on!.... RED FLAG! RUN AWAY! BEFORE YOU END UP WITH A LEMON!

Great place to find a vehicle. They are over charging for used vehicles. So make sure you pick, test drive and purchase the best one you can find or youve lost out on thousands.

The vehicles there that are under 3000 are junk. I looked at a pickup they listed for 2500 and between the bald tires on the back, the cracked manifold, and the amount of rust i might have given a 1000 for. Even the more recurrence vehicles that you can buy for payments are in bad shape. Dont go here if you really rashly dont have too.

I decide to purchase a vehicle from one of Headers customers. The person had not received the title since March of 2020 when she bought the vehicle. So the person went to Headers to get the title. The title was not in Headers name. The title had the name of the previous owner and lien holder on it. In my opinion they jump title because it wasnt in Headers name. I did not buy the vehicle it looked to shady to me.

Quick service, cars sold as is, but staff does value providing reasonable, working cars. Staff seems open & willing to answer questions, but a bit rushed through the paperwork. To be fair, I like to read all the words before signing. Would look there again, but vehicle specific.

I went to look at a car about two months ago. They wanted $1,300 for it but was not worth that at all! When I went to test drive it, the whole car was shaking. Now I’m not a mechanic but I know a major problem from a simple fix. I didn’t even test drive it. I just cut the car right back off. Then he showed me a car that was in a wreck and filthy. Told me it was $1000 but it just came in and they didn’t even drive it. But it didn’t look driveable at all. Then I called a few months later about another car and I had to call three times. The second time I called they answered them hung up. When someone finally answered the phone the guy was rude and sounded like he didn’t want to be bothered. I don’t think they put much work into the cheap cars. But I do think they have good higher priced cars. Take on chance on the cheap if you want.

Great place to buy a used car. My granddaughter just bought her first car from them, and when it had a few problems, they took care of them. I would recommend them to anyone.

Cars are dangerous to drive.

Went to look at and 09 sebring. Called Scott And he said he drove the car himself runs and drives great. So I drove an hour to look at the car. When I got there Scott was busy. Another salesman told me they robbed a part off of it so car can not drive or run. Seems like the left hand doesnt know what the right hand is doing. Had cash in my pocket. Now I got an hour to drive back thanks Scott.

Was very interested in a car they had for sale, discussed it over the phone, asked a lot of questions, got approved for a loan through my bank, rented a car, drove all the way there... and the car REEKED of cigarette smoke, was absolutely filthy inside (couldnt tell in the pictures), and the engine was knocking. When I told them the engine was shot they shrugged their shoulders. Good waste of a day I guess but I wouldnt have wasted my time if someone was honest about it being garbage.

Bought a car and then 2 months later the transmission gave out. They replaced it which I was grateful for. The check engine light was on for a misfire and turns out the catalytic converter was shot. Looked up the blue book value for the car and even in excellent condition (which it was not) was marked at 3,000 dollars and some change. They were charging me 5,000 dollars. They can have it back.

Headers Auto Sales has anything you may be looking for. If it is cars for cash or financing--they have it! Today, I walked in and walked out with the first nice car I have ever had. My wants and desires met the standard of care that I received. I had a small list, but they had a car for me. Scott S. and MANY other staff members walked me back and forth of their parking lot when it was cold, wet and miserable. They were tenacious in pointing me in the direction of what I may like and were determined to meet every need that I had. At the end of the morning and the deal was made, I left feeling confident and relieved that I had a great car and made a great investment. Headers made getting a nice, beautiful car possible for me!

A very nice place to buy a cheap car. They are willing to work with you to get you the car that you need. They have lots of cars with good pricing. There cars are a bit trashy, but their prices are cheap. I had a good experience and would definitely recommend going there to get a beater. They do have some nice cars, but I want in that basket, so I dont know about them.

Went in for the $700 bait&switch Jeep w/blown eng, decided a 04 Trailblazer@ $2k was worth a drive. They obviously never drove it, broken steering or suspension,we were lucky it drove the half block back. Leaving it up to the customer to determine whether its a death-trap probably aint the best business model, but its working for them. Theyve been there for decades. Certainly some of them were taken care of, but do they know which is?

Scott really helped us out. He was very informative. Unfortunately, there wasnt anything that would work for us. I would recommend stopping in and seeing Scott....he has an awesome used 08 Dodge Ram he said we would like if we test drove it and he wasnt joking....Anyone looking for a good used truck ask Scott if he still has that 08 truck!!! It was 5,600.00 just a little out of our budget. 😕

I wouldn’t suggest this place to anyone in their right mind they play too many games Autumn always has an attitude even if she’s never seen you also if they repair, what’s already broken before you even buy the car, they add it too your payments plus extra if you just want a quick ride not even a year worth of a car then this is your place but other than that don’t do it too yourself I haven’t even had my car for a full year and they already repoed my car and they car needed plenty of work done and still does but they’re just going to put this car back on the lot even though it’s a lemon!!😡If I could put zero stars then I definitely would

We searched online for a van in our price range, found one here, and made arrangements up come check it out, take it to a dealer for inspection, etc.Brian was accommodating, didnt give me any trouble about having the van at Toyota for a couple hours, and was really reasonable on the price.Were really satisfied with the van, the price and the experience overall. It took a little longer for them to mail is the title than I would have liked, but thats a pretty minor inconvenience.

As you’re driving by the cars look decent. Then when you actually look at the cars all you see that they’re high mileage and overpriced. I wouldn’t recommend this place unless you’re looking for a temporary car to get from point A to B, know how to work on cars, or are willing pay for soon to come repairs.

Junk cars not saleable and poor customer service...

Bought a truck from them for $3200. before i could make it the 20 minutes back to my house the check engine light was on and my rear lights had quit working. no turn signal or brake lights. i tried to fix these things on my own and couldnt so i called 3 days later to see if i could swap the truck out with something else as what they sold me clearly wasnt a $3000 vehicle and was told no that wasnt an option. make sure on your test drive you take it for longer than 20 minutes or else youll get screwed out of your hard earned money like i did. now im stuck with a vehicle barely worth the 3000 i paid that i have to sink more money into than it is worth because headers cant just do honest fair business.

If you need something asap this is the place for you but theres always a catch. The vehicles may look good on the outside but theyre terrible inside. Something is always wrong. Its as if they fix the vehicle just enough for you to drive for like 3 days then it will start breaking down. And they make promises to fix it with no charge but they lie. It will frustrate you. They dont tell you whats really wrong with the vehicles

You have to live local to be financed, not every car you see on their website can be financed they have a list of financed cars. Beware of this before you rush

Decent prices, but you need to pay close attention to the vehicles. They dont go into detail with their diagnostics. Listen for noises when test driving, test as many features as you can, and definitely check under the hood after you pull back into the lot. The vehicle may run fine but could be spraying out fluids under the hood. (I experienced this myself). I recommend setting asside a few hundred $$$ for repairs if youre planning on buying from here. It will likely be worth it in the long run.

I had got an 06 trailblazer from headers.. Test drove the blazer it sounded fine. A week into driving the blazer i had issue with it starting. Then a month into getting the suv came with knocking sounds..The fourwheel drive didnt work...So my truck got repoed this morning. That i am okay with.. What i am not okay with is being stolen from. I am not sure if it was the guy who camw to repoe the blazer or if it was an employee. I would like my money back..

Surprisingly from buying the vehicle as old as it was all they need to do is change out the spark plugs. And Scott was really cool too.

Drove 75 miles because a deal sounded great over the phone and online, but the car was in worse condition than described and they tried to cover up some problems (the AC leaked badly and so they filled it while waiting for us to arrive but left the reservoir caps off so it was obvious). The cars inside was not very clean and had tons of damage from a dog, but Mike just described it as clean inside, wish they would have been honest and saved us an afternoon of travel. They did seem quickly upfront about how low they could go in negotiations though.

Its hard to find dealerships that offer inexpensive cars and they do. If you need something cheap and dont want to deal with the headache of private sellers then this should be your first stop.

They treat you with so much respect. No pushy sales person. They work with you. Very nice people. Just bought 2007 Cadillac and going back for our next car!

I stopped here to check out a car for my daughter to drive when she turns 16. I looked at a few cars and test drove them. A friend of mine has a Check Engine scanner, which we used to check for codes. The Check light wasnt on, but the car was throwing 7 different codes! If you looked closely enough when you first start the car, the Check Engine light didnt temporarily light up like all cars are supposed to. So they either pulled the bulb out or the bulb had been on so long it finally burned out. Either way, most cars I looked at there were overpriced, had high miles, and most DID have check engine lights on. They told me that the some of the cars just needed sensors replaced. I left in a big hurry, and I recommend you do, too! This place seems to prey on the poor, unemployed, or those who cant get a car anywhere else!

I wanted to wait to write a review so I could really be accurate with my experience. When i first went there about 3 weeks ago I was ecstatic because my credit is poor and Scott spoke with his boss and they looked past my bad mistake made 5 years ago with a car I had leased then. I have 2 children and a 3 on the way and without 2 vehicles my boyfriend and I would not be able to both work and get the kids to and from school. Anyways I thought Scott was great, got me in an 08 chevy cobalt for 600 down and $70 a week. First problem was they couldnt run a vin check and he told me ro have it done at my first payment. Okay no biggie. I leave, about 2 hours later i notice there is water dripping beneath my dashboard on the passenger side so the a/c drain is clogged. Great i think but still am grateful so not a HUGE concern. 5 days later I am going to make my first payment, told them about needing the vin check and they still cannot do it, tells me to come back yet again. I go to leave and start my car and the check engine light is on so i swing by auto zone... Reads oxygen sensor problem... Awesome. Cut to today, I took the car in and got the problem fixed BOTH up and down stream sensors.$400 dollars that I had to take from my only savings that I have put away for maternity leave. Along with the other problems that were found of a major oil leak looks like from front crank seal, brakes bad also needs switch replaced, and tire sensor needs replaced. I am going to have to put any extra money i receive into fixing this car... I did not expect something perfect by any means but I never imagined I would have to deal with all of this. If you are desperate as I was, I would say to go but with caution and extra money you have put away to fix all of the issues you will have.

Bought a car about a week ago from this place. Was able to drive it for a day and a half, went out on Monday morning to go to work and the battery was completely dead. I was late for work. We kept trying to recharge the battery and every morning, it would be dead. We replaced the battery and it still keeps dying. These people are shady. Dont go to them. They will scam you out of every cent. They told me that there is no lemon law in Indiana, but there is. They just dont want to take responsibility for what they have done.

Headers has got to be one of the worst places to buy a car. While not rude, the sales people are not overly friendly at all, first thing they ask is your price range (not your name or anything). The cars are mostly junk either rusty as hell or have broken windows/windshields. If youre willing to fix up a none-too-special car, or are in absolute need of a buy here pay here place than I guess you might be interested, this place somehow gets worse every time I give it another chance.
