Roy is awesome ! I called him everyday for an update and not once did he seem frustrated with me! The manager before was also super helpful! Both times that my vehicle has been worked on was always in a timely manner! 10/10 recommend for you to head over with any problems that you have with your vehicle

I came in having no idea what I needed done with my car just that there was a problem, and they (more specifically) Roy, graciously helped me out in any way they could! After my car was stolen, recovered and towed to my friends driveway, it sat there sad and immobilized for a couple of months as my friend fixed it for me. Eventually, we realized that he was over his head and I called AAMCO.The next day (Friday) Scotty came with a flat bed truck and took my little blue car away. The following Monday my car was ready for the road! AAMCO, New Braunfels service was quick and affordable. I never felt pressured or like I was being over or up charged. The mechanic, Scotty was professional, knowledgeable, efficient, funny and well my cars hero.It says Transmissions on the AAMCO sign but theres a good reason that it also says, TOTAL CAR CARE.

We recently took our 2012 Yukon XL to Aamco NB and they were excellent to work with!!! Roy did a phenomenal job explaining everything to me and super patient working with our car warranty provider. I highly recommend taking your vehicle here for repairs.

My repairs were done in May and am just now getting to post this. I Had a good experience, was a little higher than first anticipated but I had a Japanese transmission so go figure, I was kept up to date with repairs and was treated well. Everything was explained to what and why my factory transmission failed. From estimate approval to completion was about a week and a half which was not bad at all considering the extent of a labor intensive repair. My Xterra runs great and has a little more power in the drive train so I am a very satisfied customer and would recommend AAMCO to family and friends.

About two weeks ago my brakes went out and I came to these guys. They made me feel comfortable and they told me exactly what was wrong and what needed to be done to fix it. They were straightforward and honest about the whole process. And then I had to come back because my catalytic converter had some issues. I brought it in at 8 and they were done at 5:30. I highly recommend them.

Around 7/05/21 I took my Mazda MPV to them to do a tune up. They put the wires and plugs in, but the car ran horrible afterwards. They told me it was the Catilitic Converter. Had car checked by another mechanic. It turns out the wires were crossed. Be aware this company/mechanic dont know what theyre doing. Or it was a ploy to get more money for work thats not needed.

I took my moms Nissan Rogue in because she hadnt been driving it for 8 months due to issues it was having. The car had been purchased from a non-certified mechanic in Oklahoma. Unknown to us was that the car had major damage under the hood we couldnt see. AAMCO was the 2nd opinion we got and it was similar to the 1st so we knew nobody pulling our leg. With the help from the team at this location we were able to finally fix my car and the topping on the cake was that the repair costs were able to be financed interest-free for 12 months with the Synchrony Credit Card they accept. I know these guys put a lot of work into my moms car and I couldnt be more thrilled that I have a safe car I can give back to her. I feel 100% confident in the work that was done and can rest assured that I got a decent quote on everything. Thank you Scott and the entire management team for your help!

I took my Ford Focus to them and they where very nice and looked it over for me. They where able to find I had a wheel bearing out and replace it for me and it drives a lot better. So much quieter! Ill definitely be back!

Took our car there 2 weeks ago for noticing hard shifting. After being told there was burnt transmission fluid noticed. They said would need to take apart see which parts would need to be replaced. We agreed to have work done on car after being assured it would only take a week.Well should of known better when the first call to ensure they only needed to replace parts not whole transmission came 3days later with me calling to check in. No return calls from them at all.I also had to keep calling every 2 days to get a status on when the car was going to be ready. 2 weeks later from their 1 week promise I had to make another call to be told still not ready but should be first thing tomorrow.The lack of them getting back to you and unable to follow through on promised time really is disappointing.Unsure how well workmanship is till get car back.To their credit the person at front desk Steve was friendly and polite. That’s reason for extra star earned.Will update when car gets back.Update- after being promised and told would get a call first thing in am today (01/24/19) saying car is done still nothing. I do drive by everyday on my way to work to see it’s been parked same spot outside for last 4days now too. A call to corporate and the BBB is coming.New update 01/27/19- got car back at 22:30 on a Saturday night (01/26/19). Car had dirt/grease on steering wheel and arm rests. Can also tell who works on it smokes, they off gassed or just smoked in car. Having to air it out. Got it home that night no problem (about 1.5 mile drive) this morning turned car on let run about 10min. Turned off. Put on accessories with key to reset stereo code (about 2-3min) went to turn car on, now won’t start. Also leaking fluid now, looks like coolant.1/28/19Okay, so we talked to the owner and manager. Both are super respectful and have greatly apologized for the hassle. They got our car in ASAP today. Worked on it to ensure cleaned and no longer leaking. Sounds like they are improving the shop and ensuring good work gets done.Car shifts smooth, no leaks, cleaned inside.Per management- they have spoke to the employees to ensure all techs will not smoke near cars, and will clean up and prep cars before getting in.I thank you for your corrective actions.

Great! I called to get a quote for a repair I expected to be well over a thousand dollars. Steve the service manager asked me a few questions then said he felt like he could save me several hundred dollars if I would bring the car in so he could take a look it it. He was right, the repair was half what I expected, the service was great and everyone was very friendly and helpful. This is a great garage and I will definitely use them again for any future repairs. Thank you.

Our new Box truck needed an alternator, and Aamco in New Braunfels had it fixed within 24 hours. I would highly recommend them for future vehicle repairs. Fast service and friendly faces! They also flushed the transmission and changed the fluids.

I was having problem with my transmission. I called to ask about an appointment. I was informed that I could bring it in for a free inspection and diagnosis. I brought my van in on a Saturday morning. A thorough inspection was done. Was shown what the probable cause of what was causing the slippage. I was told that if I left my van for repairs today I would be getting it back by Thursday. I left my van to get repaired. I had stopped in one time to check on progress. Was on schedule. Was able to pick up my van Thursday evening as stated. Van seats were a little dirty, but cleaned up. Manager was very apologetic about the seats. During the 10-dayinspection, notice shifter lever was alittle difficult to get in Park. Return to shop and issue was immediately addressed. I would bring my vehicle here for future repairs if needed.

They were the first recommended by USAA.Likely because the word begins with AA.So I just went back to them because I was returning a part that went bad. I called them two days ago to see if the parts were still under warranty and if a refund was possible. They told me that they would have to call me back after looking into it.later they called me and they said that the part was under warranty but the labor was not.I told them I didnt need anything installed because it had already been taken care of. They said that thats fine and I could just bring the part in.So I called to the company that replaced it, and I took time off of work so that I could go bring this to AAMCO and get my refund since I generally work during their business hours.I WANT TO REITERATE I WAS VERY SPECIFIC THAT I DID NOT NEED ANY FURTHER WORK DONE AND I JUST WANTED A REFUND.When I arrived, they just said that its not how it works, and that they would have loved an opportunity to replace it. I said I would have loved an opportunity to get it for a third of the cost like I did at the new company.They implied that Im going to be walking soon because I didnt use the most expensive option.They also said that they dont make the parts, as if they arent still responsible for it when they use it. I dont care who makes the part. If youre using the part and the part fails, its still reflects on you. So all this to say, their work failed and they were sarcastic and rude with me. Wont use them again

Anthony and his crew of workers are above and beyond. We took our caravan for a brake job but do to the amount of rust from it being shipped from overseas, it wasn’t easy on them. The work and price was excellent, the quality of work for the price was mind blowing professional. We now have piece of mind driving with the kids in the van. Awesome service! I was on a girls trip to float the river and all the sudden the alternator and battery decided to go out on my car on Friday night. I got my vehicle towed to AAMCO Friday night and Saturday morning he was able to diagnose the problem and getting it fixed the same day! They were only open until 12 on Saturday but stayed until after 1 to fix it. Thank goodness for Robert! He’s a lifesaver!

My check engine light came on a few days ago and I took my 97 Accord in Wednesday morning to be looked at. I left the car with them and got a call a few hours later saying theyd need to do some more diagnostics to identify the problem. Anthony called me that evening to say theyd identified a few problems and would like to keep the car overnight so they could be sure of what was causing the light to come on and give me a call the next morning.I got a call the next day and Anthony explained that my Crankshaft position sensor was not working correctly. He asked for my permission to go forward with replacing it and I gave them the go-ahead. Several hours later he called and said theyd found some more problems while replacing the sensor and asked if I could come look at the car. I went over and Anthony explained to me what was going on and that my water pump was damaged and showed where it was leaking and creating problems. I asked him to put together an estimate to have the water pump and timing belt done, he gave me a very fair price and even worked with my limited budget.I am extremely thankful for Anthony and his team at AAMCO in New Braunfels. Communication throughout the entire process was excellent and friendly. I rely on my car to drive to school and work and they helped get me back on the road without breaking the bank. I recommend them to everyone!

Go here if you want to be ripped off.. my girlfriend went by there, due to car trouble.. and proximity to my job. 400$ later for 4 SPARK PLUGS and a distributor cap coil and labor.. when even high end parts can run 10-15 for each at most for all that.. if it wasnt for ripping people off that didnt k ow any better which most people arent experts with cars yall would be out of business.. Good on yall for honest service, while I hustle to make up bill money.. wanna throw your hard earned money in the trash go here.. you want honest work at a fair and reasonable price any place in town would fair better in my opinion.. 400$ for 4 spark plugs.. youre lucky I was working..

The guys at AAMCO are very helpful and have always taken great care. Friendly, knowledgeable and honest. There isnt any other place I would take my vehicle. When your vehicle isnt running right, it is very stressful. They help to make the situation a little less painful and getting you back running again. Anthony is very much an asset to the company!! Although Volkswagens can be tricky he has put much effort and time into figuring it out!

I typically take my car to Christian Brothers for car issues. However, after a 3 hour trip home, my car was making weird noises and squealing brakes! I needed the car that day to pick up my daughter 3 hours away. These guys had my car in and out in one day! And that’s with having to order new parts for my car! I ensured that I took it in first thing. I was immediately helped. They had me stick around before I left. They wanted to visually show me what they were seeing and what they needed to fix. I had lost all power to my car. Robert over at AAMCO in New Braunfels, TX took my call. He took care of everything for me. He arranged for a tow truck to pick my car up at home and added it to my bill to pay at the shop instead. My alternator and battery were shot. He took pictures of the test to show me the amps it wasnt giving off. Then he made sure my car was fixed before he went home for the night. This place is great. Wonderful customer service. I highly recommend them and will go back to them next time.

Traveling through back to Chicago from west Texas noticed a little slippage in trans. Found these guys on the internet instead of going to the dealership. Talked with owner in the phone seemed like a really genuine guy and came over to get trans fluid flushed. Requested air filter change and the owner had the decency to show me I did not need to replace. Did not charge me for extra work getting off a rusted screw. The charge was 100$ cheaper than the dealership. It’s only been a day and 0 leaks but everyone there was awesome. Seemed like a great bunch of guys I really enjoyed my visit with them and felt confident their work and integrity. 👍

THIS PLACE!! We were out of town for a girls weekend river trip and my former daughter-in-laws car broke down on the way to dinner🤦🏻‍♀️ bad battery and alternator went totally out.Towing company towed it to AMCO(at 9pm🥴) they said the odds of getting it fixed Saturday were not good, he said places close up on Saturday at 12 and her car being a Lexus means they would not have parts. SATURDAY morning we were there at 8 am when they opened!They were such a blessing to us, I know God worked through them to take care of her. Very polite and explained everything to us. Her car was ready at 1pm Saturday and they did not overcharge her!Great place and I would definitely recommend them!Thank you sir for kindness!

I scheduled an appointment last Saturday to come in today (the following Saturday). The gentleman I spoke to was the same one that said we have you down and will get the transmission filter ordered for a transmission flush. I call in today thirty minutes before my scheduled time to make sure its still good to go. Sir we dont have you down. What do you need? Instead of your schedule time to come in at 9 am can you come in between 10-11? Nope I have other plans scheduled today and will gladly take my business else where. Great first impression for someone trying to give you a shot.

Needed all four rotors and brake pads replaced. At other shops I was quoted up to $350 for the brake pads alone not including the rotors. However after talking to Rudy and the guys at AAMCO, they were honest and very fair when pricing the job, no additional charges or hidden fees. They also got it done very quick with no problems whatsoever, not to mention the very comfortable waiting room with coffee. Great conversation and they will be keeping me as a customer from here on out.

Some Trans shops won’t do Volkswagen Transmission work.. contacted them advised them I had special situation (reworked valve body) purchased from other source, needing to be installed. They were professional in identifying OAN wiring issue at the time of install of other part. Ordered and installed at promised time.Even though not my primary Vehicle, they treated as so. Not all Ammco’s are the same.This Owner & Svc Manager ensure quality outcome.Don’t remember my service guy. But he too needed mentioning. Great job.

Ive had the worst experience with mechanics when it comes to extensive and complex repairs on my vehicles. This shop will make sure that your vehicle is diagnosed properly so that you dont incur costs that are unnecessary. They will not beat around the bush, theyll tell you whats wrong and what the necessary steps are to resolve your issue. Their guys have 40+ years of experience and are extremely help.

Great and Accurate Service, had the transmission replaced in a day. Guys are fast, friendly and work with the customers on getting a schedule that works for both. Guys stayed a little later today to make sure everything was completed. Great work!!! Thanks again :) will be coming back for more work

I am editing my comment and changing my rating from one star to four stars because there was a miscommunication that turned into an escalated issue due to a new trainee who did not clarify what my estimate was for. After speaking to the management, I was offered a solution. The management did try to accommodate me for the mistake made by the new trainee therefore I changed my rating. I appreciate the attempt to resolve the matter even though I was angered in the beginning. I feel it is not right to hurt a business for a mistake, and they offered to solve the issue. Word of advice to the management, when a mechanic is speaking to a female who is ignorant in mechanical terms be a little more clear so everyone is on the same page.

Super fast turn around time and very respectful & responsive staff. If my transmission dies again, i will be a repeat customer for sure. Very happy so far. :)

Do not take your vehicle here. They take advantage of customers and senior citizens. My grandmother, age 66, had a transmission error. She dropped it off and they did $600 dollars of work without notifying her. They changed her spark plugs, valve gasket cover, and mass air flow sensor. None of these had to do with the transmission and they did it without authorization. When she picked up the car, the error message was still there obviously, but they told her that it was a glitch and what they had done would fix the problem.This was when the family got involved and realized the pricey work AAMCO had done had nothing to do with the transmission. The vehicle was taken back to AAMCO, but they had NO RECORD of doing any work to her car, what they did, why they did it, or how much each part cost. We had the receipt, they had nothing. Their compensation for all of this was to take another look at the car and give a 10% discount on the additional work (nothing could be done about the previous, erroneous work) to fix the original problem that the car was there for in the first place. This came from the corporate representative that had to be stationed there, I assume from the amount of complaints and low quality work coming from this location. He also informed us that the son of the owner who had worked on the car was an idiot for doing the work he did given the error code, but still would not give us further compensation, despite acknowledging fully that THEY WERE THE ONES AT FAULT. We refused and have decided to take it to a competent mechanic.I repeat, do not take your vehicle here. No amount of corporate involvement will change an owner and son who either do not have sufficient automotive repair skills or do not care. Here, they will take advantage of you, will not fix your problem, and hide their incompetence or lies by keeping no record of your visit. Except your credit card transaction of course.In addition, check out reviews on yelp and city search. This location seems to have been involved in FRAUD and use of faulty transmissions from Katrina afflicted areas. Stay away.

I first came here when my drivers side windshield wiper stopped working in heavy rain on the interstate. They were the first auto shop at the exit. In 10 min the wiper was fixed at no charge and I was on my way. I’ve driven up from San Ant repeatedly since for all my auto repairs. Today they surgically removed a plastic bag melted to my muffler without saying I needed to replace the muffler. I’m always treated honestly and fairly. There isn’t another auto shop I’ve ever trusted more. Thank you guys!!!

Although we had a bumpy start, the guys at AAMCO stood by there commitment and got my 1998 Explorer shifting gears correctly! I took my Explorer in just as new owner Robert Orlando took the business over. I did not have anything in writing from the previous manager so we had to work all that out. Once we agreed to the scope of work and set a price, he and manager Robert Rodriguez kept me in the loop and stuck with it until everything was working well. They also guaranteed their work and transferred the warranty to the person I sold it to. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs a mechanic that is honest, trustworthy and willing to go the extra mile to make it happen!

I prefer Garland Transmission because they seem honest and I felt they provided better service even though I had to pay for the diagnostic test it was worth it. I got a free smoke test with AAMCO and they were telling me it could be this or that making me think that the cost to fix this problem was going to be very expensive which it wasnt the case, it was only $ 148.00 dollars total at garland transmission. I have heard 2 other customers experience that brought it to AAMCO and were unhappy and thank god I didnt bring it here to get it fix. I recommend garland transmission they are honest.Yes it was a free test but at least dont take advantage of customers. People please get second opinions never go to just one location.

Easy. Our brakes were malfunctioning, and we decided to take a longer drive from our city in Buda to New Braunsfels and try AAMCO transmissions. It was the best decision we made for our vehicle. The technician was nice and friendly. The service rep was informative and provided clear explanations of the work completed and possible future needs. Ive been here before and the new manager Matthew was excellent!! He was definitely not a typical sales guy. Extrmely knowledgeable and friendly. I have never seen the employees here working the way they were. My car was finished prior to his estimated time and the estimate was even a few dollars under his initial quote. After a $1500 labor bill at the dealership to be told repairs would be another $5000 on parts that should have been covered under warranty I towed my car here. We quickly learned that not all of the parts accounted for and these guys tracked down everything, down to the specific bolts. What should have been routine turned into an ordeal and these guys stuck to our agreement and it runs better than it did before.

These guys are fast cheap and very helpful highly recommend this place to anyone. They gave me a ride home and picked me up when my car was ready. This is now my second time here and they saw what was wrong then ordered my part and got me out of here.

I wanted to like this place I really did. Brought car in on Thursday was told no problem getting it back Friday. Well its Tuesday now and I still dont have my car. I have to call to to get updates they dont call back when they say they will. I have now had two sets of plans ruined because of unfulfilled completion promises. First they got the wrong condensor then next it was the wrong compressor. Its been nothing but a comedy of errors. I gave one star because the employees are friendly.

Financing was awesome! I went to three other car repair shops and nobody would help me out. Nobody plans for car repairs and I needed to get back and forth to work. I finally went to AAMCO and they had financing that was cheap and allowed me to make payments! Thanks Rudy and AAMCO! Back on the road and back to work.

SERVICE WAS TERRIBLE! My truck had a 3-Year warranty. I took it in so my transmission would be fixed after it broke, not long after I got my truck back, the transmission failed again. I brought it back to them and they demanded i wouild have to pay even though the truck was still under warranty. Once I received the truck back, the transmission FAILED for the third time. This time Steve said they would diagnose the problem and would fix it. Two months later I called (since I hadnt heard back from them) and they had the nerve to tell me they would not be fixing the truck anymore eventough It was still under warranty. Apart from not doing their jobs correctly, they do not keep their word.

Robert Orlando is very compassionate and will go out of his way to help his customers. He takes his job very serious while also humoring worried people. Highly recommend for any car problems.

Worst place ever. Took my husbands car in for a transmission replacement and they had the car there for over 2 weeks!! Everything was always wrong with something. Then, we went one day to check on the car and there was a massive dent in our bumper. They claimed they knew nothing of it, they weren’t responsible, blah blah blah. They had cameras, they first claimed they didn’t know how to get it but then claimed they couldn’t find the footage of that day. The owner told us later he would replace the bumper but it’s been almost a year now and we haven’t heard anything. Manager Robert is so rude, and disrespectful! When we acquired about what had happened to our car, he literally yelled at us over the phone saying it wasn’t their fault and told us to call the police if we wanted. Dishonest shop. Horrible place. Absolutely stay away from here!! There’s so many other, better, honest, shops here in town.

I want to say that this was my first time taking my Honda to a shop and I couldnt be more thrilled with the quality of service received! I came a few minutes early on a Thursday to have a belt replaced and the car checked out after a pretty nerve-wracking driving incident. From the moment I stepped in the door Robert greeted me with a friendly smile and gave a great in-depth summary of what would happen with the car, ensuring I was aware of all costs and making sure I okayed any work before it was done. When we left, they were fast, courteous, and I got a call from Tyler who even knocked $20 off the quote AFTER giving me a great price. Scott had fixed my car in record time and Tyler made the whole process painless! I couldnt be more thankful for my experiences with the New Braunfels AAMCO team! :)

I normally dont post reviews but I wanted to personally thank the manager and two of his technicians at this AAMCO location. My cars transmission started slipping really bad while driving near the location. I was pushing 2500 RPM and doing about 35 miles per hr. I made it to their shop and approx. 30 minutes later the transmission was back to normal. It turned out the fix was easy - cleaning the transmission module. They made the fix for FREE when they could have charged me a lot more if they werent such an honest group of folks. Ill be back when my transmission starts messing up again. I definitely recommend this AAMCO.

Should have written this review like 2 months ago... My bad. Lol any ways, my mustang broke down right in front of their shop so I pulled into their lot. Long story short, everyone was super cool and friendly. The part my car needed was ordered super fast and delivered to the shop in about 20-30 minutes. The guys even stayed like an hour after closing on their personal time to make sure my car was ready to get on the road again topping it off and checking everything over just to make sure. It was great customer service and Im sorry to hear about any bad reviews they get. I was extremely grateful for the help. I would not have made it home without them.

Truck broke down in New Braunfels on 11/7. I borrowed the parents car and went back to Houston. On 11/15 I was called and told to come pick it up. On 11/16 I drove down there to get it. Turns out, well, the car wasnt actually ready, come back later. 5 hours wasted because these people dont know how to pick up a damn phone. So, after they fixed it, I got it picked up on Wed. 11/19. On 12/4 the truck would no longer shift into second. Rented a car for 200 bucks, and let another AAMCO take a look at it. Apparently they put some parts in backwards. So $2200 bucks, for the initial fix, 1 extra tank of gas, and over 5 hours wasted because they cant make a damn telephone call, and 200 more bucks for a rental car for another AAMCO to hopefully fix it. If you love your car, take it anywhere else.

These people are thieves!!! They stole 3 boxes of tools, floor mats, owners manual along with $250. Worth of lottery tickets out of a car that was there!!!

When you are a newcomer, widowed, and silver haired but still driving, it is important to find a GOOD car service shop that is honest and reliable. The service here is all of that and more.

What a great auto shop! My F-350 developed a transmission noise on my way to the oil fields and I stopped in to AAMCO. Mario the manager was awesome and put a scanner on my vehicle and determined my transmission did not go out but a simple solenoid burnt out. Saved me a ton of cash.

Rudy and Ushant has been maintaining my recent Chevy for 200,000 miles as of today!They have serviced and maintained my familys cars over the last 2 years. The service is always tops! I love these Guys at AAMCO! When I had my oil changed recently at one of the 10 min oil change facilities, I was told I needed my transmission fluid changed and they wanted to do it right then. Luckily I didnt have the money. A few days later I called AAMCO and spoke with Rudy, he explained to me I shouldnt need it changed so soon, my car had 50,000 miles on it. I took it in and let them look at it and they gave me a free diagnostic. There were a couple of leaks that were causing the problems to my car. They suggested I take it to the ford house to see if it would be covered under warranty so It wouldnt cost me anything to fix, and it was. They did not charge me a penny. They could have taken advantage since Im a women and dont know anything about mechanical work, BUT THEY DIDNT. I would come back here in a heart beat for any of my vehicle needs.

The worst experience I’ve ever had with a car repair. Drove my truck into the shop thinking it only needed a minor adjustment. Was told that the entire transmission was bad and needed to be rebuilt – this would be 3-5 days and $2500. Told them to fix it – 6 weeks later after calling corporate a half dozen times finally got the vehicle back – the “rebuilt” transmission lasted 6 weeks – had to have the truck towed back to the shop – after 10 days and 3-4 phone calls was told it wasn’t covered under the warranty – that didn’t even look at it to see what was wrong and it would be another 5-6 days and another $2500. Had it taken to another shop – they didn’t replace half the items, cables to the governor were never connected – lines were never flushed and used old parts. Called corporate and they blew me off – told me to sue them – so I am….

I had an motor replaced in my rv. Had a couple of problems when I picked it up. They made it right while I waited. My rv is running great. They did a good job and they took care of me and made things right.I will be a repeat custom. THANK YOU.
