It is always good for your karma to give somebody a helping hand when he could use it. And sometimes you are lucky and you get it right back were you gave it. So when I saw this lady to pull that massive statue of an Indian chief into her store to get closed I packed it and so we were the lucky ones who had for a short while that wonderful place for us. The interior, the selection in the humidor (even i missed my Parthagas, but the choice was equal). And the opportunity to have a chat with that lovely Dame from the south, especially when I explained her that where I live such places suffer as it is illegal to smoke in closed public rooms. ‘What do they care about my health? It is my choice how I wanna die?!’ Just the kind of talks you need a bourbon and a cigar for. Even I still have no clue about flavoured Cigars and will probably never. But to end that first day in NOLA with a Montecristo while walking down Bourbon towards the hotel - perfect.

Armando is the absolute best; a great guy who possesses much knowledge and love of cigars. He was far more interested in making sure I enjoyed the experience of smoking a cigar rather than plainly trying to make the sell! He appreciates his customers and isn’t afraid to show it! I’ve been in 4 or 5 other shops in NOLA but none can even come close to the amazing experience Armando provided for me! The cigars I purchased were very enjoyable and the customer service I experienced was leagues beyond what I’d experienced before! Some reviews mentioned steep prices, but they don’t understand that you are paying for the cigar, the location, the customer service, the class, and the quality. If you add in all of these factors, then you can’t mind paying the extra little bit!

Mixed review. Why? It was the first stop on my cigar tour of the French Quarter, so imagine my dissapointment showing up at 10am, and find out they open at noon. Lesson learned: many FQ businesses open later than youd expect. Its NOLA. I actually came back and was there when the owner arrived. When he pulled back the old brown patio doors and we stepped in, I was pleased to see the decor gave off a strong NOLA vibe. The shop was small as was the humidor. I noticed several boutique brands mixed in with premium cigar brands while perusing the shelf. The owner was helpful and wanted for his customers to have the best experience possible. I enjoyed my chat with him and loved the lounge: it reminded me of an old study, where you could sit in highbacked learher chairs, smoke and listen to jazz all day. I made a purchase, but realized that again, I ran into the location dictates price syndrome. There were several brands I had never seen and would loved to have tried, but they were just too expensive. But, I learned thats the French Quarter (FQ) for you, its no different with any other cigar lounges in the FQ. You decide on doing business with this one or that one, they carry different smokes, many the same, but the prices are ALL steep. You just hope they have what you smoke and you like the vibe. Because, like death and taxes, the prices will kill ya...so smoke something nice while your there.

Stop in just for the smell, its amazing. The guy who helped me seemed very knowledgeable and like he wanted me to enjoy my purchase and not just make a sale. This is a must revisit for me in the future. Very comfortable environment too.

Great shop, great selection, great company. We chatted with Armando over cigars and he gave some great recommendations for culinary adventures throughout the city. Wish we had a chance to stop back in before our trip back home, but well definitely be back.

The best cigar shop in New Orleans, right in the historic french quarter. Armando is a heck of a guy, friendly and very knowledgeable. The selection is excellent and the atmosphere is very good, with large leather lounge chairs. It doesnt matter if youre a local or from out of town, if youre looking for a cigar and a great place to enjoy it - this place is an oasis.

Jesse Hernandezs review below is not true. Crescent City Cigar is my go to store in the French Quarter. Great place to hang out and solid choice of cigars. Armando is very helpful if youre a newbie and he is a pleasant and good hearted person. Yes, Ive been to the place on Canal, and its nice because it serves drinks, but if you want to hang out and enjoy a quiet evening, Crescent City Cigar is the place to go. Very reasonable prices on good cigars. The places directly on Bourbon are over priced and not very good cigars. Every time Im in New Orleans, I go to Armandos place. Two thumbs up.

While shopping, we picked up several cigars to get an idea of their scents. When we picked one -it was individually wrapped but had been opened...by someone else). We still wanted to see what the cigar smelled like-still in the already opened package. The clerk? barges in the humidor shouting “Don’t take the cigars out of the package!!” Our response: “Sir, this cigar was already open.” Again, his reply apparently without caring to hear what we just said (or maybe he felt we were liars) repeated angrily “Don’t take the cigar out of the package!!!” Our reply: “First, the cigar is still in the package. Secondly, we did not open the cigar.” He doubled down on his assumption. There were other shoppers there and the entire scene was embarrassing and berating. We simply left instead of trying to publicly correct him or match his anger. So, Sir if you’re reading this- thank you sincerely for showing me that my patronage is not necessary. I hope your need to “reprimand” was worth the loss of a sale. I will never set foot in this shop again. It may have been an isolated incident but I choose to support establishments that don’t assume that I’m a complete idiot. FYI: There are 6 other cigar shops within walking distance of this shop.

This place is top-notch. Clean, friendly, nice selections, and great location. The owner Armando is knowledgeable about cigars, and has always been very helpful to me and my friends, especially when choosing something new to smoke. The clientele is diverse; always a respectful and lively conversation going-on about current events, sports, music, etc. I always enjoy talking with Armando about cigars and watches.

Travelled through a few states while on our honeymoon, as we were staying in the Bourbon Orleans hotel, I couldn’t believe this little slice of paradise was right across the road, Bought a few robustos and a variety selection to bring home, I only caught his name in passing Armando really nice and helpfully, but not pushy or too chatty, just let you relax by yourself in a comfy leather chair with the news on, and the eclectic mix of customers from Captain Blaque to the gas fire salesman. Looking foward to having one of crescent city’s cigars the weekend in Ireland

Good shop, relax atmosphere, Leather arm chairs. This is the only place that sells my favorite cigar brand; Arturo Fuente. This shop is just off Bourbon Street. Enjoyed my time there and will return.

Armando happened to arrive at his shop earlier than usual. On Sundays he opens at 12pm he arrived at 10am and saw my boyfriend and I wondering, asked us if we needed help or if we were looking for something in particular? He offered to open his shop in order for us to purchase a gift for some friends of ours. He spoke to us for a while and even suggested a great place to get some jambalaya for the road COOPS. THANK YOU ARMANDO!!!

We got to Crescent around 9:15pm and Armando was trying to dip out early - it was a slow Monday night. He stopped, let us in, recommended a great stick and took care of us. Top notch customer service to a couple of first timers from MN. Cool little shop with great customer service.

I stayed at the Bourbon Orleans Hotel for vacation and was recommended by the cigars subreddit community to check out Crescent City. I spent numerous days with Armando smoking and having great conversations. He’s a great business owner and person. He taught me so much about cigars. I stocked up on Viajes before I left since they’re so hard to find.

3 of my friends and I stopped in just to grab a cigar. Ended up sitting to talk with Armando for like 2 hours and smoked with him. GREAT guy, awesome place, he even recommended where to go for breakfast the next day and met us there! Can not wait to come back to NOLA just for this place!

Cozy atmosphere but the clerk in the photo (owner?) Needs to learn how to treat people. He was more than standoffish. He downright ignored me when I tried to talk with him. Id return the cigar to show my feelings financially but I dont think I can do that.

The shop was quiet upon entry but the owner Armando I believe jumped right up to help me. He had a medium size selection yet not heavy on the usual suspects. Being an avid smoker who likes to try new things I told him what usually like to smoke at home and he fixed me up with a nice looking stick.The next hour or so was delightful as we chatted amicably about this and that. He jumped up as needed to attend both locals and visitors alike.Eventually we were joined by another semi local and we had what I usually find in these smaller shops, a damn good time, smoking and sitting around just shooting the breeze.Ah what a pleasant visit. Unlike the bourbon street hustle shops this is just a few feet off the main drag and more than worth the short detour.

STAY AWAY from this place!!! Worst business man I have ever meet. This guy has a real anger problem. He admitted to me that he lies, cheats, and steals. He also said I am going to hell. As a tourist visiting for my sisters wedding I went to his shop to buy some cigars. When I walked up to his shop he was yelling outside like a mad man. Cursing and screaming at some innocent people. I turned around and walked away. This guy is a creep. Armando is his name and he needs to leave the New Orleans area ASAP

Clerk was very rude. I walking by smoking a cigar when it started pouring. I stepped in to stay dry and the clerk told me I had to leave the store if I did not buy my cigar from him. There was no other customers present, so I was not taking away from his ability to accomidate clients. I had purchased from there before and have brought others with me to spend money. I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on.
