Have visited this establishment for years,, the owner even recognized me.. I told him I had my own cigar but would have couple of drinks. He said sorry no outside cigars. Yep ya right walked out and will no return. Sorry business practices.
The place definitely has the good ole boy back room feel. Its like a throwback to what cigar lounges use to be. The good ole boys club that cater to men. The dark furniture really poor lighting. I did rather enjoy smoking in the what it was back in the day feel lounge. Not woman friendly at all unless she likes that back room type feel. Only thing missing is the secret door knock lol.
Nice selection of Cigars and friendly bartender. Great place to relax on your expeditions to the quarter.
Great atmosphere 👌 very knowledgeable of their cigars and liquor blends. Good music and sports on for your enjoyment. This is the spot for cigar aficionados.
This place is outstanding! The cigar selection is up to par and the bar selection is not that bad. I had to wait 30 minutes for a drink but thats because there were people there from some event cant blame the fine establishment. Cigar prices are just as expected, a little high but lets face it its worth every penny. The humidor is perfect with humidity control and the cigars are in perfect condition 👌. Could use some smoke eaters though, the place was filled with smoke, even with the doors wide open.
Great first time visit. Came in to try their house blend torpedo and wound up buying 10 of them. Most definitely will visit again next time we’re in town.
Inflated prices. Much better options. You can smoke inside
Nice cigar bar. Nice, friendly & knowledgeable staff. Must visit if you really smoke cigars. Ill be back!! Keep up the great work
It was straight has a big selection of cigars all types except for Cubas and has a bar
Staff wad very knowledgeable about cigars. Very chill atmosphere. Will definitely come back.
Great location to have a cocktail and smoke. Awesome spot.
Good spot to relax and enjoy a quality stick!! Going back soon!!
Great drinks and great spot to hang out with friends and a good cigar while listening to good music!
I had a great time here The price were not bad . The people and the atmosphere was good
Great cigar bar, wine offering eas a little limited but the atmosphere was really fun
Awesome location, awesome selection, friendly staff
Cigar and a bourbon.. great little pit stop
Nasty attitude from the owner. We ended up walking out. Next time we will have to look for another place to hang out . Thanks but No Thanks..
A wonderful cigar bar near many of the Convention Center hotels. They know their cigars and whiskeys, and have a nice selection of each. The prices are a little higher than Im used to, but in line for the Convention Center area. Plenty of comfortable chairs and couches. I highly recommend a visit if youre in the area.
The atmosphere was great. & the owner was tentative with excellent service. My father cigar was where it was at!
Had a blast here. Will be back
Way too expensive. Louisiana levies a sin tax on tobacco products. Cigars are excellent, however.
Loved the place great to sit and enjoy a stick.
Great cigars. My boyfriend really enjoyed himself.
Checked their website, said they closed at 11 pm. Walked a mile in light rain to get here and they are locked up tight. I know they are open for business because I walked by earlier and they were open. Im standing in front of their shop now and their lighted sign says they close at 11 pm as well. Its before 8 pm. Obvious bad management.
This a good place to have a cigar. Friendly staff.
Nice spot. Nice cigar selection in humidor.
Always like stopping by when I get chance good people
The first stop if you want what call a gentlemans Cigar wide selection
Great music and cigar selection
Great atmosphere, friendly service, great location
This was a fun, new experience in a new place, manager was insightful and great
A great place to chill and smoke some good stogies
Best cigars inn town!
Great talking location
This is a nice cigar lounge to sit down and have a nice cigar. The only problem is they have overpriced cigars Ive been to hundreds of cigar lounges across the country one thing a lot of them fail to do is to stock their humidor with mid-range cigars. Not everybody wants to spend 15 to $25 on a cigar I prefer the $10 cigar and sometimes Ill buy a $15 cigar. But sometimes I like to get a cheaper cigar Alec Bradley makes a great line of cigars Im just using them as one example.other than that I give them a good rating but they need to get some more midlines cigars.
Nice viewGood social environment
Fun. Great selection.
Great variety of amazing cigars.
Great authentic Cigar bar. Great drinks and personable people
Great atmosphere, spent 4 hours there and felt like family immediately.. highly recommend visiting it. Prices were descent as well. The house cigar is really good..the medium-full was stronger than most, the Connecticut reserve was fantastic
Cool atmosphere
Its a nice relaxing environment.
Loved the atmosphere
A fairly good assortment of cigars
Great little cigar bar. Good selection of cigars. Prices slightly high did to being on Canal St in the middle of everything but staff is great.
This is a great place to relax, get away from the crowds and enjoy a quality cigar with the drink of your choice. It houses an extensive collection of high quality tobacco products. It has a well stocked bar and the employees are attentive and courteous. I always stop in when im in NOLA.
I liked the place a lot but some fat guy behind the counter got in my face about lighting up a cigar in the place unless I had bought it there. He rudely instructed me to not light that cigar up unless I had bought it there. I told him I bought it there (which I had) and he calmed down. Other than that it was a good experience.
Family owned cigar shop - theres something for everyone. Short walk from Bourbon Street, the casino, or the Convention Center. They even have their own brand - bold and delicious.
Been here 20 minutes and love it. Decent cigar selection and full bar. Friendly staff and the only place Ive ever found that has a very good house blend. Overpriced cigars (not the worst prices Ive seen) but I dont imagine rent is cheap around here. Ill be here on a daily basis until I go home!
This is a very nice bar with a great atmosphere. The guys working in there were really cool!
Fantastic. Awesome shop. Chill and Relaxed vibe. Conveniently located. Great selection at the bar. Owners are cool and Amanda at the bar was awesome. Definitely coming back when Im in town next.
Quiet and relaxing
Only 4 stars because its a little run down and dated, and the selection is a little limited. Some good choices, but a few of my favorites werent there. The staff makes up for any short comings. Stop by if your in the quarter.
Enjoyed my time here. Has nice sitting area with couches. At back of building has full service bar. Has lots of tvs to watch any sports you want. Definitely would go back. 5 stars
For months I have tried to get here. A friend at a Cigar Bar in Baton Rouge recommended it. I fought traffic on Canal Street, paid for parking at a garage, walked from the garage to the spot. I selected a cigar. The gentleman who helped me in the humidor was awesome! I then went to pay. Dude at checkout was sooooo rude!!!! He asked if I wanted my cigar to go. I said no Ill smoke it here. It was 11:18 PM. He said we are closing in 20 minutes. I said I thought you closed at 12AM. He replied, I dont want to ask you to get up because were closing in 20-25 minutes. I left. I have no need to ever go back. The whole reason for leaving the house was to enjoy a smoke THERE! Really bad customer service. Too much hassle to get there and park etc. A real let down.
Excellent place to light up in New Orleans. I tried them all. It is located on an easy to find street if you are a tourist. The casino is two blocks down. They have a great selection of cigars, very spacious, bar, and friendly staff. It will be my only destination for cigars on my next trip to New Orleans.
Great place on Canal Street to enjoy a cigar. During the week and weekwnds during football and basketball season you can sit back and enjoy the game.Dons has a huge walk-in humidor with a variety of great cigars to choose from. They also have a full bar and bartender with leather couch and chair seating throughout. My favorite time to go is during the summer, when the front doors are opened to canal street.
There was a wide selection of cigars and when you walk in it feels like you have gone back in time. the staff is knowledgeable and extremely friendly. I am not a smoker but I live the smell of cigars. we were able to find what we were looking for without breaking the bank.
The cigar selection could have been better. Laid back cigar bar, nothing fancy.
Very fine cigar shop with a great atmosphere and comfy seats to lounge in and enjoy your cigar, drink, or both. Very knowledgeable staff walk you through the humidor and then light you to bliss. They had some bathroom trouble while I visited, but overall a great experience.
A smaller selection of cigars and the prices are HIGH. The lounge is comfortable, but they pushed us out about 10 minutes early so they could close up. There are far better places to go within a few blocks, youll just need to bring your own drinks when you visit them
They have a beautiful cigar selection for every budget and pallet. The whiskey selection was impeccable scotches irish and bourbons for every taste. Multi level rums from captin and bacardi silver to 18 year aged rums. Friendly and knowledgeable staff and a great environment.
Came to New Orleans for business. Wanted a drink and a cigar after the drive to decompress. Decided to try Don Leoncio in lieu of the cigar bar which has a branch in my hometown of Pensacola. Upon entry I was greeted by an elder gentleman simply with a smile and knod acknowledging my own. Stepped into the humidor followed by the gentleman to grab my go-to Arturo Fuente. After inquiry as to the location of a my choice he directed me surprisingly to a cheaper cigar from the same establishment. It immediately clicked with me that this man was less interested in hard salesman tactics employed by many cigar shops and was simply protecting anothers best interests in regards to flavor. Taken aback by the situation I agreed out of curiosity and was not disappointed. After checking out I glanced to my right to see an open bar and asked for the hour it closed. I proceeded to the bar with my wife, several businessmen occupied the seats to the left of the bar so we posted in the stools on the opposite side, across from where the bartender Luis was. It was a decision I came to be grateful of. Upon requesting a mojito for my wife based off praise I saw on prior reviews I was informed they stopped making mojitos two weeks before our arrival. Instead I requested a sweet drink for my wife, Luis picked up intuitively on my wifes cocktail preference and said he would make a cocktail he made for his wife which was almost identical to the one I make for mine. I ordered two shots of Macallan 12 on the rocks. I got four shots on the rocks in two glasses but was only charged for two. After my wife finished her drink she decided to sip from the second glass. After a few sips Luis read the distaste on her face and offered to hit the drink with Sprite to be more palatable for her. While he was diluting the drink he read my glance at the pouring with remarkable precision of human understanding and began telling a story about how his wife mixed beer and coke at their wedding. I rarely encounter people with such instinctive ability to read others. We had an enjoyable exchange regarding numerous topics in a short period of time involving stories and opinions from Luis, my wife and myself. We paid our tab, I asked for his name and we left. Hands down the most personable bartending experience Ive had in some time. Luis embodies what traditional bartenders strived for but its simply his character and not forced in the slightest. Hes the real deal. Him and the fellow who assisted me in the humidor who I later found out to be his father were both genuinely kind people. To recieve that kind of treatment in a city that capitalizes on abusing tourists is all the more shocking. I wish I could take this establishment home with me. I wish only the best in their future endeavors and recommend it to all who want a cigar or simply want to relax.
Only real cigar lounge Ive seen in town. Dont be suprised by the prices of cigars here. If you are in the big city expect to pay a little bit more. This is due to the use of the facilities and the differences in taxes.I found exactly what I wanted to smoke. Nice big humidor with a very wide selection. Prices ranged from low to high. The staff were very nice and thry also filled my lighter.Thank youJohn
Perfect place to Herf on Canal. The owners are always willing to help
Great bar where you can buy and smoke cigars staff friendly and the atmosphere was superb
Best cigars in the world! They really cater to you and your needs when searching for the right cigar. Luis is great!
You should be allowed to smoke your own cigars. The space is nice though.
The cigars were great and the atmosphere in the shop was awesome. Great place to hang and smoke.Owner just kept being confrontational about who he was and acted smug about how much he knew about cigars.
Selection is modest in walk-in humidor. Prices are as high as youd expect at a vacation spot, I guess, but can be beat within two blocks.
Its a bit on the seedy side but enjoyable none the less.
Staff courteous and helpful. Good selection of cigars at reasonable prices. Comfortable setting.
Nice location. A bit pricy but the staff is friendly and accommodating. Nice atmosphere too.
Great place good hospitality! Definitely recommend!👍🏾
Super chill place. Great if you want to beat the NOLA heat and have a good cigar. However, you will be paying inflated Bourbon Street prices. They need a locals menu.
Excellent stock... lower prices than most but a little high for my pallet. Friendly folks who remember their customers... Should turn the humidity up about 2% in the walk in...
No doubt one of the best Canal Street has to offer. Great Cigar and Drink selection. I never miss stopping by this jewel when I am in the City.
It cant hurt to run in to Ed Reed while youre there. Everyone was very nice and we had a great conversation about NFL football.
There is nothing like a great cigar and a good glass of wine this is the place to go to if you are cigar smoker PS I am a cigar smoker and I know great cigar .
Knowledgeable staff. Good vibes. On main street. Bar and cigars.
Just stopped in to wait on some out of town friends. Laid back atmosphere.
Its alright
