It’s a nice place but has one problem. Under no circumstances will they allow you to use the bathroom. I bought two boxes of their cigars and before i left, I asked to use their restroom. No dice.The guy working there said it was his managers policy. So sit at their tables, have a drink and a smoke, but too bad, so sad, no matter how much you spend, you are not good enough for their restroom.

Great cigar store. I took advantage for the sell they had in cigars. You couldn’t beat the prices there. Especially with each cigar hand rolled in house. I’ve visited the Cigar Factory before as a quick visual, yet I randomly decided to purchase one from here this visit. The gentleman whom assisted me was Phenomenal (if I get his name I will edit and add). He was the definition of an aficionado. Add courteous and engaged to that.The visit was late in the evening and so there were no cigar makers which wasn’t a big deal at all. I did learn that all of the cigars that they sell are their own brand and no others. The humidor was still diverse in its selections. I appreciate the seating areas and chess boards for those into it.Cigar Factory was very clean with reasonable pricing. They sell other products as as well.I purchased the Vieux Carre cigar, which I wasn’t a fan of. It had a strong spicy flavor to it. I’d absolutely try others still.Cigar Factory is worthy of another visit.

I didnt know what to expect, but if you want to see actual cigar handrollers rolling cigars this is the only place Ive witnessed it as a cigar smoker. It was truly great to finally see it live. The store was so NOLA meets Latin American cigar culture. The shop reeked of cigar history. It reminded me of a bar in the interior of Latin America, where one spends the day drinking and smoking cigars. The humidor is small, due to these guys producing their limited selection of cigars. The staff was slightly pushy while bring helpful, but nothing just focusing on a few sticks wont cure. I quickly noticed that few of their sticks were not under $9; most averaged $13 and more-pretty pricey. I had been reminded by a Houston attorney who has taken to rolling his own cigars as a hobby, this was a must visit. I actually enjoyed watching the 3-4 rollers as they went about their craft. But, as far as the cigars, I can report much since I purchased the Tres Hermanos & Social Club. The Tres Hermanos was too mild for me, but the tobbacco wasnt harsh like so many imported cigars, it was like they were clean tobacco. Not for me, but Im glad I tried a few. They have a 2nd shop of Burboun Street, but that like a foodstand, you only go there if you know what you want and could come in buy it and go-that spot real put on the hard sell, but again, its a business. So, while the more inexpensive smokes werent for me, maybe Ill try the more costly smokes down the road. Also Cigar Factory ships anywhere.

Friendly knowledgeable staff! I was able to watch them roll the cigars in house and an employee gave me a tour of the cigars in the humidor room. After all of this, I was blown away at how reasonable the prices were. I highly recommend this shop!!

By far my favorite thing to do in Nola (and I have been coming here for years). Get a cigar here and an Abita from 2 doors down (this is a cigar store, not a bar) and sit at one of the available tables and watch the people walk by. It’s epic. These cigars are fresh and reasonably priced.

The best...they are essentially Cuban cigars. Wonderful, hand rolled, right in front of you by Cuban Americans.

Ive bought several 20 cigar case of the social club Maduro torpedoes. I just recieved the last one yesterday. I promptly put in my humidor. I took one out tonight to smoke with a glass of wine and Im totally disgusted with the taste. It taste green. Nothing like what I was used to. It seems that something has drastically changed. Im not happy at all!

Great spot for cigar aficionados or for someone who appreciates a handmade cigar! You can appreciate the cigars being made on site. You can buy a drink, bring it in, then enjoy smoking your cigar. They have tables with chairs and if you look around youll find board games like backgammon!

Essential place to chill and enjoy life. I always get there ASAP when Im in the quarter. Bring whiskey from somewhere, light up something from the Social Club line, enjoy the great music, and watch the world go by. Heaven.

Went during Mardi Gras 2020 to get a quality Cigar between parades. I was surprised to see cigar engineers rolling cigars by hand there. The staff and especially and the manager, Keith, were very professional, friendly and helpful. Cant wait to go back there to get more awesome cigars soon. Unique concept, you walk in and see people rolling cigars. You can buy sample packs and gift packs. They only seel their made in house cigars. The first one was hard to light, but once it caught, it had a good burn.

Super chill place. You can go here and smoke cigars while sipping on drinks from nearby bars (you have to go and get the drinks yourself). The tenders were helpful and knowledgeable. I told him Im new to cigars and he took the time to explain everything to me and pick out a cigar that I liked.I will definitely visit again!

I can buy a cigar anywhere, so opted for hand rolled. Got a lot of help and direction in the humidor. Answered any and all questions. Steered me in the right direction, without selling me. Roller was accommodating by posing for a picture. Cigars were fresh, moist and tasty. Definitely worth a stop. Very nice experience.

Staff took their time to explain to this non cigar smoker how they are made, the different types, a bit of history about the shop. Ryan is the man. Extremely knowledgeable and down to earth. He knows about every single cigar in the shop and is a gentleman and a scholar in helping you select the right one. Me and 6 other amigos of mine came in to the shop to celebrate and we were treated like royalty, even 30 minutes before close. This place is a must visit, and tip them well, youll see that they deserve it!

If you like cigars, you should definitely go see this place. They hand roll all their cigars, and you can watch the rollers do it. They use broadleaf tobacco from Nicaragua. Someone is happy to show you the stock in the humidor if you would like. They also ship and they are pretty reasonably priced.

What a wonderful experience. Walked in and was astonished to see how there were multiple people just diligently rolling cigar after cigar for the shop to sell. The staff who were stocking shelves, etc were all more than friendly and accommodating to my friends and I. Helping us with whatever questions we may have had, and offering suggestions to those of us who were not 100% quite sure what we were looking for. A must go to spot for anyone who loves a good cigar.

What a cool place to visit and try some hand rolled cigars

They sell and age their delicious cigars in the big humidor in the middle of the place. They make them just in front of the humidor; and have tables where you can smoke them and watch them roll them up front. The Latin music completes the atmosphere. If the people watching isnt enough entertainment, grab some cards or a board game from the shelf and have at it. PRO TIP: stop next door on your way in for a drink to go. You wouldnt want to get parched while you enjoy your stogie.

I was in New Orleans a week ago for an anniversary trip, and the Cigar Factory New Orleans was on my list of places I had to go to while in town. My wife and I stayed in a hotel in the french quarter and started walking down Decatur. We popped into Central Grocery to buy some olive salad for my father, and when we walked out I noticed Cigar Factory New Orleans, which surprised me because the Cigar Factory was further down Decatur. Apparently they opened a new location to spread their operation out to reach more people. When we walked in there was one cigar maker at work. We were immediately greeted by a lady who asked if we wanted to sit down and enjoy a cigar. My wife does not smoke, so I told her I was just interesting in buying a few cigars. She escorted me to their walk-in humidor and explained the different types of cigars they had to offer. I chose some of their double wrap cigars (because they resembled one of my favorites, CAO America), as well as one of their Connecticut shade cigars. I then explained to my wife, as we watched the cigar maker at work, how cigars were made. Once we got back home I got a chance to try the cigars. Now, I have been smoking cigars for about two years now. I am by no means an expert on cigars, but I have smoked many different types of cigars and usually keep a wide variety available in my humidor. I would gladly put the cigars I got from Cigar Factory New Orleans right at the same level as most top end cigars I have tried. Once my cigar collection dwindles down a little to where I get more room in my humidor I plan on buying a box of both the double wraps and the Connecticuts. Excellent cigars.

A must for any cigar lover that visits NOLA. Great staff, selection, prices, and atmosphere. We got caught inside during a downpour and the staff made everyone feel welcome to stay as long as they wanted. Will be a regular stop on return trips.
