I Followed my stylist here but every time I go the evening receptionist is rude, unprofessional, and always on a power trip. The final straw was cancelling my appointment without speaking to me because I did not feel comfortable leaving my credit card information on file over the phone. I expressed that to him and my stylist that I did not want my cc info on file over the phone but was still cancelled without knowing. Unfortunately, I will not be getting any services in the future at this salon due to the lack of professionalism and the ever changing policies, as well as the attitude from the evening receptionist. The made up credit card policy on file is very sketchy to say the least. They charged a friend that I referred when the stylist cancelled on her and did not want to credit back the money. The front desk is bringing this business down and costing them money and clients.

I had a touch-up balayage by Keeley recently and what her other one-star reviewer said is true. She is not personable, she rushed my services and did a bad job on the color and the styling. I left with my hair looking like a brassy blonde wet rat nest. She started by openly rushing to do the work, was very rough with my head and neck as she yanked me back to apply product, absolutely does NOT know how to style curly hair even though she said she did (rough towel dry, no conditioner or leave in, raked it with a brush not a comb while wet and not conditioned, and roughly handled and diffused for all of 5mins), and rushed me out of the chair. Worst of all she did not let my hair process long enough so when I went home and restyled it myself, I learned how disappointed I was with the color. My previous color is not blended with the new. I have splotchy tones of brassy gold and bits that are platinum. As she escorted me to the front to pay and welcome her next client, she was pushy about making me say I liked it, about scheduling a trim and about purchasing product. It was at that point that I learned my hair had not even been properly conditioned because she told me what she used on me, only shampoo and a 2 in 1 shampoo/conditioner.I do like the OI shampoo and conditioner I ultimately purchased however. When I used the conditioner at home it was very nice and left my hair feeling soft. Too bad she hadn’t used it on me in the salon.

Couldnt be more impressed with the safety procedures, the staff, and the actual service. My hair looks fab and I felt totally at ease during my visit. 10/10 would recommend and return. Shout-out to my stylist Kelseyvilleand Tyler at reception for creating such a great experience.

Keelie is the best! Personable and makes my hair feel like silk. The salon is following strict covid guidelines which is a plus.

Charlotte at Rocket Science is the queen. She is incredibly sweet, fun to talk to, and will not let you leave until your nails look flawless. Everyone Ive encountered at this salon has gone out of their way to make it a memorable experience. I cant wait to go back!

I LOVE rocket science. Kelsey is an incredible stylist and Lan gave me a really cute up-do for a Photo shoot. The salon is cute and comfortable with a friendly, hip staff. Theyre great at fantasy colors and unconventional cuts.

Great cut, friendly folks, even let my haggard pooch sit at my feet for the duration instead of languish on the sidewalk. Met with a smile and a sparkling water even with a spontaneous appointment.

Kelsey was awesome! I was a little apprehensive about having my haircut because I am a Hairstylist in DC and feel like it is sooooo hard to get a good haircut with curls/waves... She did a great job. She listened to me and actually delivered on what I wanted. Definitely check her out!

Fantastic experience but a little pricier than other salons

This place rules. I moved here a year and a half ago and was so scared to have my first haircut at a new place. I came across Rocket Science and have been so thrilled ever since. I never knew my hair could look so good leaving a salon? Daniella is magical and so is this space! Highly recommend

I stopped in while on vacation for a quick blow out and was so pleased with this salon. Not only did they offer me an adult beverage (yay) but even with my insane amount of hair made me feel like the most important client in the room. To be fair, I warned them ahead of time that I have long thick hair and expected to see an additional charge on the bill, but there was nothing of the sort. I highly recommend booking here if youre a local or a visitor - theyll take great care of you!

Kelsey did a wonderful job cutting my hair today.I showed her a pic of an a-line undercut shave with graphics that I thought could only be accomplished by a barber and was surprised to learn that she is a cosmetologist and a barber! My hair turned out perfect. I couldnt be happier. Thank you so much!

Great salon for men and women. As a visitor to New Orleans, they fit me right in for a beard trim. Over the top service! Eyebrows, ears, trimmed my sides a bit even! Fantastic! I would highly recommend. Great atmosphere and friendly people.

Glynn is fabulous in every way! She recently worked some magicon my hair and turned me into a pink goddess! My hair is pretty dark so it took some work but she made me feel super reassured and I walked out feeling pretty in pink and will definitely go back to her for my touch up! Also....the head massage while washing my hair...sooooo good! And if that wasnt enough of a reason to check out this place, you get treated to beer or sometimes bubbles

My nails were amazing so 5 stars for Paris, but the receptionist should be more welcoming when greeting guests. She barely said anything. I said Im here for Paris and she said okay. She didnt tell me how long, dont even know if she told Paris I was there, she didnt ask me if I would like anything to drink. She didnt say have a good day as I left either. This is half of the salon experience.

Always a pleasant experience with Paris. She knows what she’s doing & gets everything done in a timely fashion with reasonable prices. Appointment only. I won’t go to anyone else and the salon is super cute & comfortable. :D

Go to Glynn, she is incredibly talented with color! She always surpasses my expectations and has an amazing eye for what is going to actually work on your head. She gives great hair cuts as well. She is a true color artist and by far the best Ive had!

October 20, 2018Drove all the way from Mandeville to have my hair cut at this salon. I decided to give it a try when I accidentally came across this place when I was in the area. I thought the atmosphere had a cool vibe in a charming Victorian home that was converted into a salon. The stylists appeared as though they would be experienced with the latest trends which is what made me willing to drive so far from where I live. I went with the idea of cutting my medium length hair to a medium graduated bob. I walked out with basically a shorter version of what I had. There was no graduation in length, basically the same length all the way around. Nothing like the 5 photos that I showed the stylist. I rated this place 3 stars because even though it was nothing near what I asked for, it wasnt a bad style, and the price was reasonable. I also failed to let her know that I wasnt happy because she had another client waiting, and I didnt have the time to have her redo it, nor was I willing to drive back another day (I live an hour away). To me, I couldve had the same cut that I received yesterday with any salon in the Mandeville area. It was definitely not worth the drive! The next day I went to a salon in my area to get exactly what I wanted, unfortunately I had to pay full price again!

Glynn is the BEST stylist Ive ever had. Shes a master at color, she listens to what you want and actually makes it a reality! The salon staff is wonderful and welcoming, the salon is very tidy and fun, and the whole experience at Rocket Science is top notch. I highly recommend Glynn and Rocket Science!

Kelsey is fantastic! I came to her with a hair trauma, my hair was thinning due to medication, and she gave me a hair style that added tons of body and shape. Most of all it is giving me confidence and peace of mind while I deal with an already stressful situation. Thats why this place is the best in town. Ive been going there for 5 years and Ive never had an experience that wasnt awesome.

I walked in with a mop of hair and walked out looking like a real, stylish adult. 5/5 Also, the people there are great. Im not the best at communicating what I want my hair to look like, but they still made it look great.

If you have naturally thick eyebrows do not go here. I went today for a simple clean up and really wished I hadn’t. I now have two totally different shaped eyebrows! My right one is perfect the left one is beyond screwed 😩, it looks like she tried to arch it so it’s a weird shape/thin/kinda looks like a sperm and I’m missing the entire front part... I’m very upset as I have a ton of events coming up and will probably have to get bangs cut just to cover it. I’ve had this problem at nail shops, which is why I stopped going to them. If you have thick brows I highly recommend sweet olive salon. They didn’t have any appointments available which is why I went here. Lesson learned.

The only place in NOLA for my hair. Daniella is a goddess amongst women, and the whole staff is sweet, kind, and wonderful. Worth every penny.

Im new to Louisiana from Michigan. Found this salon through Google and love it. Shout out specifically to Keeley. We started on time, she was quick, and did a great job.

Went with a few members of a bridal party. Not everyone was pleased. We showed pictures, but the style looked nothing like the picture. I was generally pleased with my hair. I am not sure it was worth the price though.

Great salon. All the syltists are very good. Im a mom and didnt want the typical Uptown salon where it takes three hours for a cut and highlight and leave looking like everyone else. I really wanted a salon that was current and hip and could apply that same creativity to give me a sytle that fits with my professional career. Prices are very reasonable and competitive.

Great place the stylist actually listened to what I wanted and they dont try to sell you products you dont want or need. This is the only place I trust with my hair

Wow, Kiely is the most sour faced and unhelpful stylist Ive ever had in my life. Acted like cutting my hair was the last thing she wanted to do in the world and seemed to get angry (??) when Id try to clarify what I wanted. It was so unpleasant I called it off early and just cut my losses. Avoid Kiely if you dont want the most awkward and mediocre haircut of your life.

I dont know who was paid to leave reviews, but that place is not cheap or reasonably priced. They tried to charge me $45 for a wash and dry and $65 for a cut and wash. Are you cutting with gold scissors?!
