Great foot tour of the history in the French quarter/Jackson Square a lot to learn and learned a lot about the history. Great Tour guide Mary she has a store which you need to visit and the museum so much stuff and history also you get a chance to go ghost hunting in a real place I wont spoil the details but worth it
This place was cool. We were there very early in the morning on a Friday. Staff was friendly and seemed to care that you have the best experience possible. When you walked in the shop, the atmosphere definitely felt...heavy. Lots of interesting trinkets, books, etc. We stayed for the tour. Downloading the app to your phone was a different, interesting way of following a museum tour. Most of the museum, we had the rooms to ourselves...other than the spirits ;)This was only our second stop in the city and by far my most enjoyed. Im sad we couldnt get in on a walking tour, they were completely booked for our weekend. But its on the list for our next visit!
Absolutely great experience, highly recommend. Dont bother with the phone app recommended just enjoy the history and stories of where you are and take that in with your senses! Will definitely go again!
SPOOKY, SPOOKY, SPOOKY! We did the late night ghost hunt through the museum and ended up being the only two on the excursion (which is terrifying and awesome). Our guide, Michael Bill, was FANTASTIC! Just the right amount of humor, experience, and professionalism to make it a scary (but safe) time! We were able to see the museum, learn about its history and inhabitants, learn how to use the ghost hunting equipment, and then were given the chance to look for them on our own and try to communicate. Whether you believe or not, spooky things definitely happened and its a unique (if traumatic) experience thats well worth doing! We would definitely go back!
Did the haunted tour and it was definitely worth it. I hadnt seen a haunted tour before that would let you use ghost hunting equipment. There were definitely some spooky moments that are just straight up hard to explain.
A great and unique experience! The staff was helpful and very knowledgeable. The best part of the visit was the reading with Crowley, she is amazing! I highly recommend adding to your list of must-have stops when visiting NOLA!
Meh. Save your time and money. The tour is self guided. We paid 25$ to take ourselves through. The voodoo bucks that were included werent given to us. The lady at the front desk was rude and impatient while showing us how to download the app for the tour. She was snappy and acted as if we were stupid because the phone didnt download as fast as she would have liked. The place was cool enough and had a lot of history and cool things to see but u can literally walk through for free and save the 25$. Just a tourist trap with an attendant thats tired of having tourists walk through......complete waste of time and money just to be talked down to, and followed around as if we were stealing or something. No thanks.
Didnt even go but looking at the images and hearing about a couples death being put up as money for yall is pretty sad... It doesnt look too creepy at all... Just basic like Spirit Halloween store and ngl it does look like a hoarding of items and random Halloween decorations...
The ppl are friendly nice to talk to the tour was great there not kidding when they say its haunted it is I could feel it definitely gonna go back
Had the most incredible tarot reading here with Amber! She’s amazing!
Unless you’re super duper genuinely into Bloody Mary (to the point of it being a significant part of your lifestyle), don’t bother with the museum. The shop itself is decent, the kid/guy upfront was nice, but the museum is nothing more than a collection of dolls that seemed like a hoarder put out all their stuff out on display. You’d have a better use with your $10 if you go outside, find a crackhead and give them the $10 to tell you a funny story. It’ll guaranteed be more interesting/captivating than this museum. And the app....the app that is seemingly so important...is pretty lackluster. It’s a convoluted install process (that the guy behind the counter pretty much has to walk you through, and he patiently does) but is just as un-engaging as the walk through. If you’re going with a group of friends (like I did) just wait for them at the park across the street. They’ll be back out in 15-20 minutes top and likely tell you how lucky you are to have not gone in and saved the $10
My girlfriend and I had a great experience on the night tour with Gina back in March. She was very informative about her City and all happenings within. We went to the historic apartment next to her shop where Zach strangled Addie and cooked her on the stove and in the oven for 13 hours (Post Katrina). Gina gave us ghost hunting equipment and let us roam free upstairs and yes there were several spirits that communicated with us. I did feel vibrations in my upper chest and lower stomach and felt very warm, but I did just drink 2 hand grenades so I wrote it off as a side effect of alcohol. But next visit Ill be sober. If youre in NOLA and want a great ghost hunting experience, go to Bloody Marys Haunted Museum on Rampart. They also have a plethora of voodoo items for sale in their shop.
Amazing place! Bought the tickets for the tour ($10) and the ladies were wonderful and super helpful! Answering all questions and had such a welcoming vibe. Invited us to just walk around and enjoy for as long as we wanted! Wish I lived in this city so I could visit more!
We visited New Orleans for the weekend and because Im into the paranormal and anything spiritual, we figured to go ahead and check it out. 10/10 the museum was fantastic and very informative with the app, and the reading I got was fantastic as well, spot on accuracy! She really helped me open a new path to a new road. Please get a reading from her if you can I highly encourage it :)
Great time...got pics that were interesting
I absolutely loved my reading with Juliet, it was dead on, I had goosebumps and all. I’m so thankful Bloody Mary made it happen too, she communicates promptly to any questions or concerns. The reading was uplifting and brought so much reassurance during these chaotic times. Honestly, I didn’t have to ask but 2 questions and she was guided wonderfully and the advise she gave me made so much sense. No sales pitch here, she gave me home remedies anyone can do with simple home ingredients. Big hugs and kisses to you all at Bloody Mary! One happy customer here. I will be coming back.
Gina was absolutely a phenomenal tour guide tonight!! Her stories are very detailed and delightful to listen to (except Zack and addie which was sad). Highly recommend her and the ghost hunting experience was truly 1 of a kind!!
I went yesterday and didnt want to leave. Had a reading by Sharon and it was spot on and I just loved her energy. It was amazing, then bloody Mary herself gave us a tour of the museum which was very cool. And last but definitely not least I went on the ghost hunt tour with Gina which was one of the coolest things I have ever done. All the ladies were accompandating and friendly. A must do when visiting. I will be back.
Lady in the front was very helpful and seemed to know a lot. The psychic giving readings was rude. I asked her a question about a product since she was just sitting there playing on her phone and she didnt even make eye contact with me. She just repeated my question to the woman in the front then went back to her phone. Terrible attitude and definitely turned me off to the place.
Fascinating and terrifying😅
The staff was full of great stories and folk lore.
Y’all this place is a hoax!!! The people that work thereKept saying we only practice good magic and there were 666 all over everything and this is just how I feel but they are charging people to walk through the so called Museum to see old and broken baby dolls!!! I think it’s a waste of money!!!!
I dont think Miss Mary could have been more accommodating. She answered my million questions, personally showed me some of the museum, and she even let me hold her cell phone to listen to the tour because my phone was acting ridiculous. I could have spent all day there and probably will next time I am in town. The store alone is utterly charming and beautiful and worth a stop. The building is fascinating. It feels like it holds a lot of stories in its walls but nothing oppressive or angry. Its a unique and intimate place.
Bloody Marys was a phenomenal experience. The shop is full of great stuff, and the haunted museum is really interesting. Mary Herself tells a great story and makes really does a good job introducing you to the spirits in the place. She was a great hostess, and made you feel very important, listening to our own stories/experiences. I highly reccomend this place. One more thing: do yourself a favor, buy her book. Its well written and a great read. I felt like she was telling me the stories personally. Each story is very easy to visualize. Ill bet if you asked her nicely she would personalize your book for you too!Mary and crew, thank you for a wonderful time. I will be back!
Awesome experience! You will feel something in her museum even if you dont believe! Mary is an exceptional woman! Very pleasant to talk to. Im very happy to have the opportunity to visit her museum!
The Haunted Museum tour was great, but Bloody Mary’s Seance was even better! I also got a psychic tarot reading and the psychic was on point! The paranormal energy is off the charts! The gift shop is amazing, I could spend half the day just looking at all items. I will definitely be back for more tours. Such s fun experience! I highly recommend a visit!
This place was so scary, I loved it. The workers were very friendly and the prices were not too high. This was probably the best ghost tour I’ve been to for the price. I even got myself a little voodoo doll to take home.
Just got back from there & would not recommend it to anyone. It’s not at all what we expected as we had to wait about an hour in line to enter & for the high price about $50 each you are uncomfortably squashed in small rooms, some with no air! Very dimly lite to view photos & old stuffed animals. Not at all scary other than we loved the dwarf Clown! And they claim to be handicap accessible which it is Definitely not!!!
We were visiting New Orleans and thought this tour would be interesting. I had no idea of the history here. I went into the doll room to take pictures while everyone else was asking questions in the other room. I randomly took a pic in the mirror and snapped it twice. When I left I looked at my pictures and something caught my eye. It looks like someone is behind me on one of the pics. Ive been trying to explain this, maybe it was a glitch, maybe I moved my arm....but cant figure it out. My arm is still and it looks like there is an arm by my arm. This experience was definitely creepy even before this pic was discovered. Nothing has been altered except for zooming into the picture to take a better look. Not sure what anyone else thinks but to me looks like a ghost is behind me, I could be wrong but it was worth taking the tour. I felt a heaviness and my stomach starting hurting as soon as we went upstairs....anyhow you should give it a visit!
If youre into this kind of museum go. I enjoy museums and enjoyed the personality and the knowledge of our tour guide. His quirk and calm personality matched the tour. I really appreciated how well air conditioned this place was considering how hot it was outside. Random--I know. Id recommend going if youre visiting NOLA.
Nice place! Had a reading with Catherine and she was on spot. Never had a runes reading done before and it was new and accurate. Came back down to only find my friends participating in a most haunted item contest! Didnt get to do a tour. Saving that for next time! Ps, they also have a beautiful courtyard!
Absolutely a must-see when you visit New Orleans. Locals and tourists are welcome. The staff is friendly and informative. The store is jam-packed with all your magical needs. The haunted Courtyard Outback is lovely and steeped with history and interesting points of interest. The museum has many interesting and haunted items youll find no place else. The Seance room is amazing. And upstairs is a shocking surprise sure to make your hair stand on end.
What an experience.. went for the haunted tour last night. Let me tell you its not your average tours that u get and also dont expect parlour tricks. This is the real deal. I have known Mary and her abilities now for some time and my respect and love for her just increased when i felt and saw in person on my own. And if you looking for your moneys worth trust me its going to be much more . The shop is a small quaint thing with a powerful ambience . You will feel something depending on how open u keep yourself. Will go there again and again and definitely recommend it to everyone.
What an absolutely incredible experience! We were in town for my daughters 10th birthday, and she desperately wanted to do the haunted museum tour on her big day. Jagger was a great tour guide - relaxed, knowledgeable, and patient with our many questions. We had no idea of the history of the building, so learning about Zack and Addie took us by surprise and explained the unsettling feeling we all had when we went into the upstairs apartment. And a cool bonus - my older daughter and I was wandering around downstairs while my husband and 10 year old were still upstairs in the apartment. I heard her saying Dad, stop it! because someone was poking her and she thought it was him trying to scare her. Turns out that he wasnt even in the room because he was checking out the kitchen. Looks like she had a very real encounter with the ghost child who lives upstairs, which made her day (shes always been into spirits and mediums run through our family on both sides.)Anyway, thank you, Bloody Mary, for a truly authentic haunted New Orleans experience, and thank you Jagger for the educational, amazing tour. We will be back next time we are in town.
This place is really cool! Definitely take the tour, there are so many unique pieces and my tour guide, Jagger, had some great stories about where things were collected and their haunted history. The store is great too-- books, jewelry/talismans, gargoyles! and the voodoo doll bar is so much fun! I even had a tarot reading by Sharon that I liked, and Im hoping to go back for a seance on Sunday!!
Visited with my best friend during a trip to New Orleans this summer, and was really impressed by the friendly and knowledgeable staff. We were allowed to tour the Zack and Addie apartment, and it was fairly chilling to think about what went on there. Definitely stop by if youre visiting the city!
I love this place! It has a great vibe and us authentic. The ghost hunt was awesome and really creepy. One girl cried and we saw a doll move and heard whispers . The shopping is great too . It has more unique metaphysical and voodoo items than the others at good prices too. And the staff is delightful. We can’t wait to go back!
I could happily spend hours in here. They do readings too.If youre really brave, why dont you make your own Voodoo Doll?
Loved this place. Not only is it a very cool store with interesting things to buy, but also good prices. The haunted museum part was also phenomenal and the workers are very educational and will tell you anything you want to know! Interesting history as well!!
We stopped in here to check out the shop and were surprised to learn that they also had a haunted museum and offered tours! The shop was amazing! They had beautiful jewelry and so many things!!! One of the coolest things we saw here was the mummified bats!!!After walking around the shop for a little bit we decided to go on their Dead and Famous tour that was starting in an hour. While we waited, we went on a self guided tour of the haunted museum. We started in a room that had altars to Marie Laveau and various Lwa. We walked out to the courtyard, turned the corner and, up the stairs to Zack and Addies apartment where my husband told me the bone chilling story of how Zack murdered Addie and then later himself. Back downstairs we walked through the seance room and saw the mirror that once belonged to Houdini himself. In the last room we saw all sorts of various haunted items and felt the chilling feeling of someone watching us...When it was time for our Dead and Famous Tour, we met up with our group and our tour guide, Michael Bill, at the front of the shop. Michael Bill was hilarious! He was fun and informative and we really enjoyed our tour with him. On the walk back to the shop, he gave us suggestions for the best restaurants in town.
The tour was good with Michael Bill, he was a hoot. The museum was interesting but not really my style. Definitely do your research before going.
Not much to see except the fact that a real murder happened upstairs in 2005. Takes less than 15 minutes to go thru and then you have to go back downstairs to get the history of the place which by the way you can find out on the internet. We were dissatisfied except for looking at some of the few pieces of antiques they had in there. Don’t waste your money go to a better museum.
We did the full tour and hunt experience and had a wonderful time. Would go back for sure. A++
Last week, my gf and I took a guided tour of the building. When you walk in you can get a vibe that this place has some history. Many interesting items to look at in the gift shop area. Sam and Jagger are a wonderful, nice couple and a great addition to the tour experience. I was so glad I had not known about the story that is told on the tour before hand as it added to the intrigue. Def a must see and a stop if you are in the area.
This spot is mad kitchy and tourist trappy... cool if you dont know any better... But the location due to events that happened in there is legit AF...
No bad things to say about this museum! Nice staff who is attentive and have very creepy things that I love! The famous new Orleans murder made me a but emotional tbh..
If you’re a believer in ghosts & the paranormal spiritual activities, then you might find this tour & place more amusing than I am.That being said, I did enjoy the tour in this old house with all the stories that are being told about it .There are some interesting items inside, the shop is not bad either .It’s fun but could be better or bigger !
Seriously, look no further, no need to visit anywhere else. Bloody Mary is the real deal, the museum is a must see when in New Orleans. Authentic and enlightening you will surely feel the vibes. Get to know Mary, she has some deep roots in New Orleans and her story is fascinating!
This place was very interesting. We did a self guided tour which was very reasonable we were able to take pictures and explore for $10.
We took the haunted pub crawl tour and finished up the evening with a tour of the museum and the upstairs apartment. Very surreal experience and 2 of the people I was with had a ghostly experience. The museum has lots of great stuff to look at and purchase. I came back the next day for a mediumship reading - amazing!
The shop is really nice, great collection of Voodoo items, but you will want to do the tour and see the apartment when Zach killed, dismembered and cooked Addie. Almost for for to mention the great staff that was helpful and knowledgeable. Had a great time!
My girlfriend and I made the short drive to Nola from Hattiesburg for her birthday. Well although unfortunately we couldn’t do the ghost tour, we were able to go to the museum after a very friendly call from Bloody Mary! We loved Jagger and his wife, they were super helpful and honest about everything. They don’t lead you on! The museum has some interesting history and my girl and I definitely felt something in the old apartment. I’ll stop so not to be a spoiler. Definitely a must go attraction in New Orleans! And if you don’t want to go on the museum tour, the gift shop is awesome and my girlfriend even got a ring! This made her night, thank you Bloody Mary and family!!!..... and who ever rated it 1 star obviously hates life, screw them.
Absolutely amazing experience! If you are able to get a reading, do it! You won’t regret it!
Everything is so amazing. Love the energy, the card reading are very on point . The ghost tour is exciting, eerie, informative I would definitely do it all again
This place was interesting, the staff was very friendly and well informed. The staff in courage you to take lots of photos. I really enjoyed it.
Very spooky museum and has tons of history to it definitely learned alot
Came here with my boyfriend and two close friends. The staff were very polite, and informative. The tour was amazing! I even took pictures and got orbs in the photos. I’m a firm believer, but my one friend wasn’t convinced. It’s a must see place, and super cool vibes.
Staff was awesome. Very knowledgeable and gladly answered all our questions. The location of the museum is great and worth the tour of the murder house. Learned a lot of New Orleans history, not only the ghost stories either. Must make time to visit here.
This was good. The guide (Pandora) was very good. Unfortunately it was hot and miles of walking
Great fun place. We all loved our experience.
I was able to do a private museum tour with Bloody Mary and loved hearing the stories of everything she has in there. We also went into the Rampart murder house. Absolutely loved it and will definitely be back the next time Im in NOLA!
Had a great time with Bloody Mary. Shes filled with knowledge. Learned so much!
I went on the guided tour and it was great! The guide was very knowledgeable about the property and every item displayed and made the tour very entertaining. Also very spooky
Based out of the accrual apartment where a famous new Orleans murder took place. You can feel the difference in atmosphere. Knowledgeable staff.
I loved going here and would suggest it to anyone. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Tarot readings are also offered from very experienced readers. There is real history and hauntings there and proof of them. It was one of my favorite stops in NOLA and love what their about and how they work. The haunted tour was fantastic and if youre a fan of Marie Laveau then it is a must!
Great story; nice setup! We enjoyed the reading and voodoo doll making experience!
Definitely a great museum! There is definitely something not right with the second floor though...
Friendly staff and some really cool pieces. I would only recommend this if you are into this type of thing. If not, you wont get much out of it.
The most emotional experience I have had all year... going back ever single visit.... thank you for helping put me at ease....♡
Yawn. Snore. What? Somebody see something? No? Wake me when I might be interested.
Was happy to hear Mary and Lisette (? Dunno how to spell her name.) talk about their connection with the spirit world without a hint of ego or shame. Learned a lot and walked away inspired.
If you even are considering going here, absolutely do! The people are delightful, and the experience unique!
The staff was amazing here today! We stepped inside and did it leave for over an hour just chatting with them. (We did make several purchases as well 😁)
I love this place! Each room is curated with unique and interesting artifacts. There is a definite haunted vibe here. The gift shop has so many cool things like ‘build your own voodoo doll’, books, so much and very reasonably priced. The best part are the different sessions you can book. I’ve sat with one of the card readers. She nailed it. She knew nothing about me nor why I wanted this reading. It really was epic and actually changed my path for the good. The staff who provide readings, reiki and REAL, very cool weddings are professional and serious about their profession. You are made to feel welcome and part of the family.I highly recommemd you check out this little gem in the French Quarter. And then be sure to book a tour. You will learn more about the ghosts and history than you can imagine. Plus its entertaining and fun!
A lot to look at, the build your own voodoo doll bar was cool.
I didnt do the tour... didnt need to. I connected as soon as I crossed the threshold. Just wish there had been some sort of Memorial to Addie.. a picture, something.
My husband and I recently visited Bloody Marys. The shop was interesting. The workers were friendly and knowledgeable, we would be back to visit again. We also had a reading done as well and it was interesting what she brought up but most was correct. I wanted to know about my fertility and i pulled all fertility cards in which she pointed out i may have a imbalance in my reproductive health in which i do. I have a hormone imbalance which makes it harder for me to get pregnant. She also pulled the baby card and a ying yang card (i think thats what its called) she said that she had a strong feeling for twins boy/girl well My husband and i currently are doing treatments and have a high chance for twins. So overall we had a nice reading and tour through the museum. I have a photo of me in the apartment above and im not sure its it a doll in the photo at the top or something else
Just had a card reading for myself, brother and sister. Very spot on, worth every penny!
I can’t believe this place has so many 5 stars. The people were nice, but the place just seemed like a bunch of collected junk. Nothing really “haunted” about it.
Shop workers were not interested in conversation. Spoke almost robotic responses, seemed very fake. Now that the owner has responded. It WAS a saturday, your shop was not busy, I am familiar with Like shops. I live in a similar type of community in the northeast. I never went to a Hot Topic in Nola maybe check out the locations of the reviews, not the dates.
Its has a cute little gift shop but besides that there isnt much to look at
Loved the museum and the tour. Would definitely come back and experience the paranormal investigation.
The staff was great and the guide was wonderful and did and great job. I loved loved the museum.
For 10 dollars, I guess it was fine. Our group came in with an open mind, but it was more of a cluttered house than a museum, with random cigarettes and antihypertensives scattered around. This was a tourist affair that was never meant to last. However, the establishment is falafel friendly.
