Great store good environment with customer service great at answering all questions but dont approach you to ask may I help you with somthing its like a 50% chance they will. With phone calling in they dont answer phone all the time sometime I have to call a couple of times to get someone to answer.

I bought a watchdogs 2 game and took it home to find they sold me a game disc that wont download for me so I called and they hung up (Im assuming this is because they knew the game was broken when they sold it to me and didnt want the consequences of there own actions) ahem so therefore this game stop is a literal P.I.E.C.E O.F.S.H.I.T

RIP off . My son purchased a new game and took it out of the wrapping and never played it. So we went to return it for a refund. They offered $10. For the game if we swiped my card. $8. If we wanted cash. Originally the game cost 59.I would rather download games then go to this place again.

Couldnt be bothered to answer the phone. Drove out there to find out didnt have what I want. No customers, three workers but couldnt take the time to answer my call. Would leave no stars if I could.

So I went to game stop today and my bought my son a Nintendo switch pr Prior to going there I made a phone call to make sure that they had in stock the guy who was on the phone was extremely rude but he did tell me he had it so I went and to purchase the System anyway. I was asking for suggestions on games and where certain ones were located he acted like it was a inconvenience for him to help me That I spend $300 on the system to get a $30 credit that he tells me I cant use to buy a game that day this guy should not be in the public eye he belongs somewhere in back stocking shelfs he was just an a****** I will never go back to that location.

Hear theyre in financial trouble... Bad business model from the top that treated clients poorly. Staff has always been great but if corporate doesnt know what theyre doing theres not much they can do

Eh not much to say, employees tend to be condescending and rude, store did not have titles that are represented on the shelf as available, counter area disorganized and area had open food containers distracting employee from conducting transaction. Would not recommend this location, better off at Meriden mall location

I don’t know if this is right but I just bought a brand new game from Gamestop and usually when I buy new games at other Gamestop I open them and I see comercial flyers and I like to see that, lately I buying them at my hometown Gamestop and they come without flyers, is like they taking use games and selling them as new.

The store has a huge choice of games to chose from which is good. But if you want to trade in your games you get dirt for them. So sell your games on eBay and NOT GameStop

All the above comments might be true, but have you ever tried to talk to the employees. Dont ask any questions if youre a novice gamer! They look at you like you are bothering them and then talk down to you like you are stupid and Ive found out they are wrong answers most of the time! Prefer going to a different location, where the staff especially the manager couldnt be more helpful. They go out of their way to make sure you are correctlt informed, they take the time to explain things and show you on the in store model . Farmingdale Plaza store in New Britain cant be topped for customer service and they have the things I want in stock. Cant count how many times Newington store didnt have something, but N.B. did! Love Enid.....she is VERY knowledgeable, a great manager!

Terrible service, bought a guitar hero guitar, left the store only to realize they neglected to give me a key piece to make it work. On top of that I traded in a few games and the balance was never saved on my card! Definitely the worst gamestop in Connecticut.

They offer a great selection of new and used games for all of the major gaming consoles (Xbox One, PlayStation 4 & Nintendo Wii U), plus they have games available for the previous generation of gaming consoles also.Recently, they have expanded product line of console games to include collectible figurines based from games, comic books, and movies. There is a limited amount of apparel (T-shirts) and other smaller desk items.The staff are courteous and pretty knowledgeable about whatever game you may have questions of.

Everytime I visit that store, I have a problem. Customer of Ferndale Plaza store in N.B for many years and never ever had a problem..Employees in Ngtn. might be too knowledgeable and was always talked down to and treated like an idiot when I asked a question. Screwed up my Power Up membership by adding extra phone #s unnecessary, making it confusing to look up my account. Ripped me off when I purchased coupons with reward points to renew my membership subscription and bought a backpack also. No renewal and no sign of the transaction in their system. Twice I ordered items online be picked up in store and both times I went to the store for nothing. 1st time I was blamed for not checking my email which was supposedly sent to tell me item was not in stock and the last time after receiving an e-mail sent by the store confirming the order, I went down there just to hear they are not in stock, again my fault because the confirmation was for a pre-order. Nowhere did it say pre order or give an availability date to pick up my item, but if its not picked up in 48 hrs.I will be charged extra for the S&H! I have so many issues to get resolved. Ill go back to the N.B store where they are more than happy to help! Dont trust Newington for anything...I would never go back but it is within a half mile and convenient. I realize the convenience isnt worth the trouble. Not a happy Customer!
