A small town version of whole foods. The manager is amazing and they carry a few local artists hand bags and other stuff. It small but a wonderful place. They also take ebt or also know as snap. Their hot meals are good. They have a lot of good breads and fresh veggies. All good to eat ...

Great small food coop. Always find great new food products. Vegan food in hot food area, but that area isnt open all day. Great for people with food issues.

We absolutely love coming here, and come about once a week to stock up or grab some lunch.... Today was not a very pleasant visit for the first time in years.. we know during this whole covid era everyone has different feelings and it appears that masks have started to be encouraged after not needing them and thats a businesses choice! We respect that but today I was just running in for a quick sandwich and the lady at the register at 10am asked if I wanted a mask, I declined and she proceeded to tell another customer while looking at me that its about respect BLATANTLY disrespecting my choice and belittling, let alone to another customer who also wasnt wearing a mask. I chose to walk out that day instead of feeding into her bad mood... reminding her that its a choice. People like her really shouldnt be front line in a store that has a great atmosphere. I plan on coming back once I can get this bad taste out of my mouth...I did attempt to call before leaving a review because this shouldnt effect the companies appearance but could not get through.

Love that this place is still doing curbside, and they have a great selection of vegetarian products, including veggie meat products that we cant find anywhere else on the central Oregon coast!

Nice customer service, great variety..its a bit pricey, but with COVID affecting inventory supply purchasing, its inherently part of trying to stay in business and keep things available to the public when ordering online might not be an option.

They have a small selection of great items that I love and look for. All the employees were really nice except the girl at the checkout. Would hardly speak to me, she sounded miserable, and made the interaction really unnecessarily unpleasant. If not for the checkout girl the experience would have been lovely.

The people are nice enough and its okay Im grateful to have at least one health food store here but Im from Eugene so its kinda skimpy for me. No offense Oceana like I said I appreciate what little I can get

Selection wasnt as good this year but they still have choice meats and great selection of soaps to use.

Were visiting from out if town and needed a few things. At first I thought it was too small, but they had everything we needed & I was very affordable. Nice staff & a small lot for parking.

Most the staff here are very kind. The rest.....my only guess is they want a certain demographic in their store. So instead of supporting my local business, Ill have to buy online for now on. No longer going to support a store that picks arguments with their customers. An older woman snapped at me for asking if they had tvp after showing me where soy curls were. With an attitude she told me to go to grocery outlet and get it in the mexican section. Another woman made a mistake at the register and scolded and belittled me for trying to help. I hate to write a bad review because I love the concept of the store and have had great service from the lady that specializes in herbal tea. It seems the bad is out weighing the good though. I hope they improve their customer service skills and lose the verbal aggression.

Beautifully displayed, and well stocked with a nice variety of fresh fruits and veggies. For the carnivores, single wrapped, frozen, whatever your choice. I picked the pork chop.And they have my licorice. Bonus.And you could tell that people like working there. Another bonus.

Lucky to have this little store in Newport, only one of its kind in the area. Delicious hot bar and brewed organic coffee and herbal teas. Dry goods are a bit pricey compared to the big boxes but reasonable for a convenient small store where you can be in and out in five minutes.

This place is GREAT!!!! It has a good selection of organic grocery items, plus a HUGE bulk section-which I ABSOLUTELY LOVE!!!! The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful, and they dont look at you oddly when you bring in your own containers for purchasing bulk items. My only feedback on their bulk section is that it would be helpful to have a few more small/mini metal scoops for the bulk spice section. I brought in my spice jars to refill them, which only have an 1-1.5 diameter opening. The size of scoops they have in the bulk section were too large to use without spilling spices all over the counter in the process.The prices throughout the store are normal for an organic co-op, especially considering we are on the coast and it isnt in a huge city (although Newport is the biggest city in the area.) Honestly, this store is much better than the co-ops I had been going to in the cities I lived in for 20 years (Portland and Medford) before moving to Yachats 6 months ago. I am thoroughly impressed, and make trips to Newport just to go to Oceana Food Co-op!

From their freshly made cookies to their gluten-free doughnuts, my family and I love shopping here. Its been a regular stop for us for years. They have a membership program, for a fee, that does allow for some reduced prices on select items. Their staff is active, helpful, and the shelves are kept well stocked. It doesnt feel cramped while youre looking around shopping. They have bulk grains and kombucha on tap also.

Back in the hay day of do it your self plant a garden and prosper the store size was heaven sent not not so much this place could use a second above on the building space add on for shopping and community involvement with a super safe vue of area and learning space for good social nabours helping without over stepping of space with all this destans of 6feet for safer community activities

Please read!! I would give this natural grocers an excellent rating, based on my experience visiting the store on November 30, 2019. The younger woman working the register at around 5:00pm had a positive, genuine demeanor and was extremely helpful.(there was also a guy working there too who had great customer service) I felt the energy of the store was positive because of how great their customer service was.I had the opposite experience at the store on Monday December 2, 2019. Not being from the area and on vacation, I decided to go back and buy some essential oils as a sovereign.(plus I had such a positive experience the first time) I asked this mature woman(who worked there) about the oils, and she acted like I was a complete inconvenience to her. She treated me the customer, with little dignity or respect. To the point I was holding back tears, and wanted to speak with a manager. I didn’t want anyone to be treated the way I was treated. I really hope, she took care of the situation. When I think of the values of a coop, I think of equality, democracy, and the right to be treated respectfully. Those values where represented on Saturday, I wish I could say the same for Monday. I’m writing this so hopefully change is made and everyone can have a good experience.

This place is old school. If you’re a member, you get “deals” ... if you’re not, you don’t. I purchased some sale items only to find out at the register “no sale for you.” Unless I wanna pay a membership fee. I didn’t know these still co ops 70s style still existed. My biggest complaint was selection... no local milk products... zip. Very little yogurt, nothing local. I purposely seek out places like this and pay more to get LOCAL INGREDIENTS from local farms, who need us now more than ever.On one hand it’s very charming these old school co ops are hangin on in the world, reality is ... if they don’t have LOCAL OREGON farm products and better representation of local purveyors, it seems to not make sense to shop there, unless you’re a member.. in a resort beach town?I’ll shop there again. Probably. Will I be annoyed that I’m buying organic horizon milk? Definitely.

This is the perfect spot for healthy food and buying local. I often shop at PCC in Seattle. Even there, I don’t find as many unique options and the great prices of Oceana. This is our go to spot for fresh veggies, bulk spices, and bulk dry goods. The hot food bar has the perfect amount for those in a rush. And, the pastry and coffee counter is wonderful during morning trips.Please remember your bags or purchase in there.

This is a tiny place with a lot of content! Theres an amazing variety of food, supplements, bulk items, and even healthy snacks and a lovely salad bar! Everyone there is very helpful and seem happy to be there, which is really a nice change from grocery store chains. They have memberships for discounts, but it isnt required. They also offer discounted memberships based on your situation. This place has a homey healthy atmosphere.

What a wonderful little store. A local favorite it seemed. Very relaxed and homey feel. Lots of unique herbs/teas in bulk as well as a large section of other bulk foods (grains, flours, nuts and seeds etc.) small produce department but what they have is organic and very delicious. Went in for some fruit and left with new snacks I didn’t know about, bulk herbs and seeds. Even got birthday cards for a few friends. Customer service is good. Very sweet and loving people.A definite gem in the town of Newport.

A large and high quality selection of items, I shop here mostly because of the big number of fermented products. But they have also lots good fresh veggies and friendly folks behind the counter.

Best selection in this area for high quality organic produce, bin type foods and spices, as well as specialty diet options such as gluten-free and vegan. The team that works here are very friendly and always eager to help with any questions I might have locating specific ingredients. It is always a pleasure to shop here and support this tiny CO-OP.

Cashier (old woman) was very angry with a customer for taking their card out too soon, it made me and my family very uncomfortable, doesnt make for a friendly atmosphere

The bread felt like it was a week old. 6-8$ for a bag of chips. 4-6$ for dried pasta. Vegetable selection was good but the prices were way to high. You can save a lot of money going to a different grocery store.. I do not recommend this place. The food that you can eat in store at the restaurant looked tasty though,. But as a grocery shopping experience I would say go somewhere else.

I love the quality variety of products available, especially that so many are locally and regionally produced. The teas and spices is my favorite area. The staff are wonderful and very knowledgeable.

An oasis. Nice salad bar on the weekdays for lunch only dont get there too late or itll all be gone. Small hot food bar as well mostly organic.

Great little store jam packed with organic foods, produce and dairy. Lots of tasty gluten free options. Spices, bulk foods and drinks, plus a nook with a fix your own salad. Nice place to browse with helpful staff.

Great finding this health food market nestled in a back street. Filled my water jugs with nice filtered water and grabbed a few thing for reheating for dinner.

Place would be nice if the staff were not grumpy to me every single time I go in. Clearly I am not 💯 their people

They have a wide selection and are very helpful. Whenever Ive visited Newport, Ive been able to go to their deli & find something wholesome & tasty that fits my gluten-free, dairy-free needs. (And not too spicy like so many other places, so people can add their own - or not.)

Id like to encourage people to shop there for organic foods, including meats. Also a huge array of herbs and spices, and a small deli section. They are competing with the huge chains, Fred Meyer and Safeway, since both now carry a small supply of organic produce, which is not always the freshest.

I was able to find some vegan and gluten free foods! It was perfect for my needs when traveling through the area.

I love this place, just like so many others. I am hoping that I can get the recipe for the amazing ginger/tofu wild greens soup that you folks sometimes make. Its the only thing that soothes and nourishes me when I am feeling under the weather with a cold and sore throat!

This coop took me by surprise! the oregon coast isnt very vegan friendly but luckily it is sprinkled with coops and organic grocery stores. hot bar, salad bar, and pastry zone was super yummy. great bulk assortment, huge produce spread, and well stocked in everything else. staff was very friendly. thank you for existing!!! i will be back.

The staff is wonderful especially Coral. Only problem is they are way overpriced. Management should readjust so lower income families can afford good quality food.

Food was good but the service was horrible. Tried to check out and the clerk was hungover or something; she gave me back wrong change, twice! her disheveled clothes led me to understand why she was eating while trying to check me out, but Im not sure it excused it.

Great market in Newport. Staff were incredibly helpful, friendly, and offerings were numerous and impressive for a relatively small store. GF and Vegan friendly offerings.

I have been coming here for years. One of my favorite stores in all of the US. Especially after traveling, I have realized how much of a gem this place is.
