This particular store gets my highest vote. The staff want to actually answer questions and direct you to the item you are looking for. And the section on fasteners is huge and well stocked. Lots and lots of bins and drawers so you dont have to buy a pack of 10 when you only need 2.Great tool selection and then just next door is their discount section where you can find large and small appliances as well as clothing.I go here several times a year (I live about 13 miles away) and am never disappointed.

Employees were friendly, but man was everyone slow.Store wasnt very clean and many things did not have the price marked.The bathrooms were also atrocious.

I stopped there looking for a refrigerator. They had a nice selection but I needed something smaller than what they carry. The customer service was very helpful, but I didnt want a big size one. And I found a cheaper way to keep my refrigerator but using a special device that cuts your electric bill by 50% .They use this device in Germany and its called a new heavy duty type Electricity- Saving Box. So Ill give it a try and if it does work Ill be saving money and I can keep my old refrigerator.

I have to say Im glad this place is finally closing. for the last few years Ive watched the shelves slowly become more bare... to the point where they rarely had what I needed. And the customer service was nearly non existent. Seemed like 2 employees in the whole store! Its a shame because this used to be a great spot for hardware, tools, lawn equipment etc.

I love this place! I purchased washer and dryer refrigerators dishwashers etc from here and I like the prices, but I love the staff. They are all very knowledgeable and are very patient and take the time. I havent felt such a positive vibe and atmosphere in a public place since the Phillies won the world series. A+ from top to bottom. Thank you guys!

I had the BEST experiences at Sears in Norristown. My Sales Professionals treated me with such Care when i came into their establishment to purchase 3 major Appliances. Mr. Ron and Mr. Jerry made my experiences absolutely comfortable and easy. I was introduced to their Lease Program and was able to purchase the Magnificent Samson Range approximately 1 year ago. Just last week i purchased an LG Inverter Direct Drive Washer and the Kenmore Chest Freezer. I am so Grateful for the information and Time that these Professionals gave me. Hopefully i wont have to return with anymore emergencies, BUT if i do, I KNOW WHERE TO GO.

This is a run down carcass of a Sears center with a discount center to the left. I overheard two employees mocking customers taking too long to decide on their appliances. (Imagine that) Also shop around and youre sure to find better prices on everything, higher quality, nicer sales people and a cleaner store. Do yourself a favor, and skip this place.

Sears Hardware used to be the place to go. I wouldnt have to make the long trip to Lowes or Home Depot. Now its hard to find anything anymore shelves her bare. Except for paint tools nuts bolts things like that youre better off going to Lowes or Home Depot

Worst experience ever, even with the Corporate Office in Hoffman Estates, IL. We bought a freezer as a Xmas present for son. A month later, my son was informed that they never had it in stock. A replacement was to be delivered. It wasnt. I was given a transaction number for my supposed refund only my bank had no record of it. I contacted Sear Holding Corporation, 3333 Beverly Rd, Hoffman States, IL 60179. I was called and told I would be issued a refund which I was. I was then promptly charged for the same amount a few days later. Sears is not the company it used to be. Incompetence filters down from the very top to the very bottom. Three months later and still no refund.

A good location, with plenty of parking. Mish mash of inventory, from discounted clothes to ranges microwaves and big box appliances on one side of the the store. The other side is more of a small size traditional Sears hardware store. After visiting this store it is not hard to understand why Sears is having problems. Not that this is a great example, as it is the last vestiges of the old Sears we remember. Some bargains are to be found in the Appliance section, such as in scratch and dent and big box items. They have nice sales which can save you a ton of money and all the blemishes are outwardly visible.

As Ive stated in other posts this years is fantastic cuz you can get some good tools. Plus you know most of them are Craftsman and they generally have a if it breaks well replace it attitude. The location is good its not too far from another shopping center with Harbor Freight. If Im buying something to keep for long-term Im definitely buying Craftsman its just in a good location staff is okay I wouldnt rely too much on them. But if youre a tool buying guy you really dont need much staff other than its over in that corner. Its not too far from Plymouth Meeting Mall so highly recommended vs paying homedepot.

Very helpful, I felt like I got a good deal... Bought a snowblower, which of course I didnt need since Murphys Law showed up and the snow-cast was wrong the rest of winter. But the folks at Sears were very helpful.

Two stars for finding what we wanted, but the rest was sad service. I had to seek someone out twice for help. The first person disappeared after she answered my first question. And the second person smoked a cigarette while helping us load our mattresses. Not exactly what Id like my mattresses or vehicle to smell like. He was also in a rush to get our mattresses in, not very gentle about it. At least the deal was great but most likely wont go back.

Delivery scheduled for Saturday......no show...phoned...they took $40off on delivery....scheduled for Wednesday....after numerous calls the driver shows up near 9PM....after back and fourth..he says he cant turn off the main water valve???? What are you talking about SIR.....he leaves and keeps the NEW refrigerator.......called sears this morning....manager to call me back by12pm.....its 1230....here i go again......

Terrible customer service! We bought a dryer in December 2014. Shortly after we noticed that the dryer sometimes didnt want to start when we asked it to. Called customer service and they said it wasnt a big deal, just manually turn the barrel if that happens and it should solve the problem. It did for a while. The problem has gotten worse and the dryer is now out of warranty. Had a service man from Sears out on March 4, 2016 and he informed us that the drive motor is busted. Said we should NEVER have been told by Sears customer service to spin the barrel as that will eventually break the belt and well have two problems. The cost to fix the drive motor is more than we paid for the machine. Ive been going in circles with the Customer Solutions Department trying to get a replacement dryer as the POOR customer service and incorrect advice was given to us while the machine was under warranty. If they dont make this right, why would we ever purchase a single other appliance from Sears?? Gave one star because I had to give something in order to post this review.

Great selection and prices on appliances

Uhhh what the hell. I tried to get paint there and there was no one at the counter. I asked for help three times and was standing there waiting fro someone to come to the paint counter. finally got some help and the guy was really nice. there is also, no airconditioning. its hot as hell in there. i do feel really bad for the employees. it stinks like fertilizer in the summer. come on management needs to step up and fix the AC~!

We Bought a wall oven last weekend and it was a great experience, Laurence was our salesperson and he was very knowledgeable and helpful, he worked with us to open a charge and made sure we got the best price! I mentioned to him that we also needed a refrigerator and he said he would call me if he got anything that he thought I would like. Honestly I didnt know if he would actually follow thru or maybe even bug me with things I didnt want but...... lo and behold 1 week later he called with the PERFECT fridge ! He somehow knew exactly which one would suit my needs and style and took the initiative to reach out as soon as they got it in. He texted me pictures on his own cell phone and followed up with another seamless sale. Cant wait to get the call that they have the perfect cooktop for my new kitchen !

The outlet has some deep discounts.

All I wanted to do was tape Shark Week so I came in here to buy some ELP VHS tapes. That stands for extra long play. EXTRA LONG PLAY! 120 minutes. I bought two bricks of those tapes from here and set my top loader to record all week of shark in two hour segments. Well, it turns out this place thinks extra long play is only 100 minutes! You dont have to be an expert in Maths to know that I missed the last 20 minutes of every episode. Those are the best minutes! They dont show sharks flying through the air like Greek Gods of legend in the first half hour, they always wait until the last ten minutes! All I have is 100 minutes of science-tists making paper-mache seals. The only reason Ill ever come back here would be to buy some glue and stuff to make my own paper-mache seal to tow behind my dads boat. Maybe then Ill see natures most deadly predator in fantastic aerial action. One star!

Shameful level of customer service on the Sears Outlet side. The Sears Appliance side seems much more customer oriented. The Outlet sold me a propane gas stove after I was looking at the same stove that was equipped for natural gas. They never told me it was a propane stove, a fact I learned when I unpacked the unit looked at the connections. Moreover, no product manuals were included even though the sales manager, John, specifically told me all documentation was in the upper oven. I have called and left messages for John or anyone in the store, but no one returns calls, and in some instances the phone simply rings for 10 minutes. One customer service person in particular has such an attitude that I am incredulous she still has a job. Sorry to say we will not be doing business with this store anymore.

Worst experience of our life. We bought a washer & dryer from them in December 2013. First they couldnt set it up b/c THEY forgot to give us the hardware for the pedestals. A few weeks after purchase we got the hardware so we called back to set up an installation appointment. Every time we call the store the idiots dont know how to help us, take my number, and say theyll call me back. Almost 5 months later Im still waiting to complete the installation. I will never buy from Sears again. Worst customer service on the face of the planet. Wouldve given zero stars if possible.

The people here are very helpful. Not what it used to be when the entire building was Sears Hardware before, but still a great selection of tools and such, some that arent in stock at other stores in the area.

Complete incompetence from beginning to end.My wife and I purchased a Samsung scratch and dent refrigerator. We scheduled delivery for a Saturday, but never received a confirmation call and the delivery truck never showed up. We called and they said they forgot to load the refrigerator on the truck. We rescheduled a delivery for Monday.On Monday, they showed up with a Whirlpool refrigerator with somebody elses name on the front. My wife patiently explained that we purchased a Samsung refrigerator, not a Whirlpool refrigerator. They left to get the refrigerator we purchased, and we found out hours later that they delivered our refrigerator to somebody elses house.When they returned with the correct refrigerator, it had several dents on the front that were not there in the store. After calling to complain, speaking with several people, and waiting hours on hold over multiple days, they finally agreed to refund us the delivery fee, $89.In addition, the salesperson who sold us the refrigerator explained that it was not covered by the manufacturers warranty so we agreed to purchase an additional warranty costing over $100. Looking at the sales agreement later we noticed that it said Manufacturers original warranty included on everything we sell. So, we needlessly purchased the Sears warranty.We paid $900 for a refrigerator that retails at $1,700, so I guess we got a good deal. But it wasnt worth it for the hassle, incompetence, and duplicity. If not for my wifes extraordinary patience and willingness to wait on hold Im sure they wouldnt have given us any refund.

The receptionist was monumentally unhelpful by phone and, worse yet, unwilling to transfer me to someone who might be able to respond intelligently to my rather simple question. No reason to go to this store!

I was going to purchase a new lawn tractor, the salesperson said he would beat the on line price which I received; that one sales person handed me off to another sales person who had no idea of the transaction and subsequently I would have paid $50.00 more than the on line price.
