I formally gave this location 5 stars, after this experience with an order that I placed for a bed in may, and now they are saying October, no communication on this that I didnt initiate; Leaving for my summer home no family here to take the delivery, and they would not cancel the order; saying it was a CUSTOM order for a bed.... I forfeited my down payment just to get away from this nightmare; EA enjoy the 900 dollars you got from me; and FYI i have a 4000 square foot house in Florida that I have to furnish and guess who isnt getting the business, all over 900 dollars.... I guess they just dont care

I ordered chair in February, and was told it takes 8 to 10 weeks. It’s been over 20 week now and didn’t get it yet! Every time i call they delay me 3 more weeks. Also the sofa that I’ve ordered last October took forever to be shipped. Finally It came but with defects, and since then, I’m trying to resolve this issue but no luck yet. They replaced the seat inserts twice so far, but every time they send ones that are worse than the previous. My new sofa that I’ve paid top dollar for, looks like an old used sofa! So disappointed with the quality of the furniture

We ordered a sofa and chair from Ethan Allen. After waiting the requisite 12 weeks our furniture was delivered. The sofa had a cracked leg and the reclining function does not work. After waiting 4 weeks for a service call we have been advised that it is going to be at least another 4 weeks before the parts come in. Then we have to schedule a second service call ( another week at least), to see if the parts ordered will work. This is unacceptable customer service. I will have to think for a long time before I order anything from Ethan Allen!

Bought a new Dining Room set with 6 chairs at Ethan Allen in 2005. After 15 years, the chair cushions needed to be replaced. I worked with Xavier to help me choose a new fabric. He was extremely helpful in my search and I was able to find what I wanted. We ordered 6 new cushions; when they arrived @the store 3 weeks later, I went to pick them up. Tracy asked if I had anyone to help me install the cushions, no I did not. She and Joe came to my home that afternoon and installed all the cushions as part of their service. I would highly recommend Ethan Allen, not only for their furniture, rugs, etc.., more importantly for their professionalism, kindness and service.

Xavier at the Ethan Allen store in Novi was fantastic. He helped my mother pick out two new sofas for her condo.He was extremely patient and knowledgeable of the Ethan Allen product line. He did a great job of listening to what my mother wanted and pointing her towards furniture and fabrics that were similar to her interests. He spent a good deal of time with her using the computer program to show how the furniture would fit in her space. However, where he went above an beyond, was offering to bring fabric samples to her home about an hour away - on a Sunday!!! Being able to see the fabric in her home was the key to making her decision. Amazing service!!!! My mother loves her new furniture. I knew Ethan Allen furniture was good quality, having owned several pieces for 15+ years, but the service Xavier provided was exceptional. I highly recommend working with him.

We loved the fabrics and color schemes that she chose for our space. Also, she helped us pick out furnishings that helped us create a space that we will use, while taking into consideration the style we liked. I love Ethan Allen and have been shopping there for 40 years. And I still have some of the original wood pieces that look brand new. Their craftsmanship is stellar and they stand behind their product. Ethan Allen has been very responsive when I did have a problem or concern and the issue was always rectified very quickly. My current designer, Laura Alexander, is the absolute best. She took the time to really know my style and picks pieces that fit me. Laura works within my budget and she is not pushy and I appreciate that. Her vision for a room and house is spot on. If there are pictures/pieces that I love and want to keep, she works them into a room. My problem is that Ive had such a wonderful experience through the years with both Laura and Ethan Allen that I keep coming back to buy more. My husband teases me that well have to add an addition on soon for everything I want to buy!

We went to Ethan Allen yesterday on a whim, a suggestion from our son Jonathon as we were driving along. We stopped to see what they had along the line of quality great room furniture. We were greeted by Katie, an interior designer. She indirectly interviewed us to learn our likes and dislikes so she could assist us most beneficially. We knew we needed help, as were embarking upon a major home renovation, and even though we have an architect, having an interior designer is a major plus. My husband and I have worked with Laura Alexander for several years. She has wonderful ideas and is so easy to work with while helping you transform your home. When we decided to build a new home Laura was instrumental in helping us with new furniture, bedding and paint colors.

The furniture ordered was nice but the experience with the Novi store has not been professional or helpful. I have been trying to get a hold of someone for 2 months now regarding a sales issue and no one will call me back.

We had a great time with Xavier in your Novi location. He was patient and very helpful as we wandered the showroom for hours looking to update our family room. He is very personable and knowledgeable of the products. The design plan he came up with was something we could have never done on our own! Karen Cooper has been wonderful to work with. After a house fire destroyed all of our belongings -- we were overwhelmed by the idea of starting over. We walked into the Ethan Allen showroom and Karen was simply amazing. She helped us design our new living space based on the style and feel we knew we wanted to create. Joanie Wurster helped me a couple years ago to re-do my family room furniture. We loved everything she did. Last May we started a new project to update our dining room and living room. Joanie helped me again. She came to the house, did some measuring, suggested a few pieces that she knew would work well with our style and went back to the office to put together a design presentation board with all the fabric, trims, furniture and paint colors. It was very easy to visualize what the two rooms would look like. We changed a few things and put the order in. I love my living room and dining room! Joanie was easy to work with, professional and pleasant.

Raquel at the Novi store was a tremendous help to us as we were selecting our leather sectional. I cannot adequately convey my respect for the skill and professionalism that I experienced with Katie Puga and the Ethan Allen-Novi team. When a family emergency forced my family to buy a home in the area, I called Ethan Allen on a Monday morning, needing desperately to start looking for furniture for an empty home. Katie met me within the hour. She spent more than three hours assessing the character and unique architecture of the house knowing that we would not have time for changes before needing to move in and make it feel like a home. Within two days, she had a design and furniture suggestions, including details like rugs, artwork and bedding. Respecting our budget, Katie helped us make our house a home within one month, from the time of our first meeting to the white glove delivery. Along the way, a store manager, Pat, helped oversee processing of our large order and joined Katie at our home for placement of furniture. We simply marvel that this speedy process does not look hastily pulled together. Katies respect for the architecture and careful selection of furnishings make it look as if this design took place over the course of months. We love it!

He helped us pick out some great furniture for our living room and was prompt and professional with follow ups, questions, and calls. Jamie Anderson was amazing. She came to my home. Measured it out. Made a computer simulation of my rooms and showed me the furniture we liked in the rooms on the computer! Buyer beware!Purchased room full of furniture greater than $16,000 7 weeks ago. Inspected peices best to my human eye upon delivery. Flippping back cushion on couch one week ago to find blue marking on top of piping. Mark was hidden on lower left cushion when set up occurred. Upon calling Tracey she was less than helpful. Pat was less than helpful as well! No follow up phone call. Guess they dont care....they have my money, right? Company refused to rectify. Said its my stain..nothing we can do, its is greater than 72 hours old. Already anticipating their response to this negative feedback....they will claim I signed the delivery paperwork.....so I guess you can get it cleaned at your expense. Art Van probably would have addressed this differently. I work with MANY families/public in my profession.. everyone is shocked at the outcome and very poor customer service...no new Ethan Allen sales to be had from prospective furniture buyers whom I have shared my story with.

When I wandered into Ethan Allen in Novi just to look around I was lucky to be approached by Raquel Restum, an Interior Designer with Ethan Allen, who took the time to get to know ME. As a result she was able to put together a furniture and accessory plan for my new home that reflected me and my tastes. She was fun and easy to work with. Poor Service, worse communication!! Avoid sales from LAURA ALEXANDER!! Ordered a living room set in June with a scheduled delivery date of 12 weeks. At 16 weeks, with no word from Laura, we emailed her. Response was “these things happen...”. Piece was delivered at 17 weeks without an $80 upgrade that we paid for up front. Asked Laura for a refund, she responded that she was unable to help. It’s 20 weeks, we still don’t have the piece we paid for, and Laura is not returning correspondence. Buyer beware!!
