Normally when I come here, I speak with a nice lady. I’ve been here twice for an oil change and an exhaust. I planned to come again because I wanted to get another oil change for my car. Last time they were running a promotion for free oil changes, I just pay for the MECHANICS LABOR NOT OIL LIKE THEYRE MENTIONING TO ME NOW. The lady claims that the sign says bring your own oil and you’ll only be charged labor, however it clearly doesn’t say that. Neither did it say it last time. Guy quoted me $150 for an oil change. Which is completely disrespectful. That’s more than any dealer in America. Normally my oil changes are $70-80 bucks. This guy is insane. I don’t recommend dealing with anyone that’ll be that shady and spiteful. He tried to take advantage of a situation because I had A FREE OIL CHANGE COUPON. I literally had a coupon this time. It wasn’t even about the promotion. Sadly he didn’t want to honor the coupon and tried to lie his way out. Even though neither employees were making sense and they were contradicting themselves. Never again will I come give my business here. You guys are awful for that.

I am very picky and have high standards when getting my cars done, I decided to go to America Mufflers for my catalytic converters and everything works excellent. I recommend this place to anyone you won’t regret it, will be coming back for future repairs!

Took my minivan for check engine. The code stated bank2 catalytic converter. I paid for the service and check engine light comes back, they claim new code. I took it to another mechanic to learn they cut off and stole my bank1 converter and put a pipe in place and did work on the bank2. Now I need to get two converters fixed after paying them to steal my good one

They are a big scammer they try to make you pay for things you do not need advise anyone goesthere to go take a second opinion before they let them work on their cars

Left the interior of my vehicle covered in grease and oil. Charging top dollar like they did you could at least keep it clean and take some pride in your work. I wont be a repeat customer.

Had my Truck at a shop (adams auto repair) down the street, and after 400 dollars 3 weeks of being given the runaround, I took my truck to this place. They were excellent. Within one hour my truck was done and I was on my way for 180 bucks. Couldnt ask for more.

I’ve taken my truck to this shop several times to only pay to have the work done correctly! Listen, I paid for breaks and rotors, and an exhaust issue. A lot of patch work. Your vehicle will run good for 6-12 months before the issue persist again. I’m reaching out to the city about this shop as I’ve heard they’ve been doing bad business for some time!

Had brakes all the way around done on my 2015 Nissan Altima, they had 4 mechanics on my car, seemed to work like clock work, job was done exactly the time they said it would be done, a little expensive but car seems to be running great, so that alone is worth it to me since it’s my daughter’s car, I’ll give them 5 stars on work performed and punctuality. Price ??eh 🤷🏻‍♂️

🚨SCAMMERS🚨I went in for a oil change and the receptionist came back to tell me that my catalytic converter was clogged up and needed to replace mind you I don’t even have a check engine light and my car runs great. The mechanic didn’t even come to me, to tell me what was “wrong” he had the front lady tell me. She said it would be $330 including oil change. The price doesn’t even make sense. So I told her no thank you I’ll check it somewhere else because I don’t even have a check engine light I’m sure I don’t need it yet. I left and took it somewhere else and they told me my catalytic is in perfect conditions. They thought I was another customer that they can lie to. And don’t trust these good reviews they only do it to get a free oil change. They clearly have a sign in the front saying “ free oil change if you give us a good review on google”. Horrible place.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO THIS SHOP!!!! I took my car here and ask them to fixed what needed to be fixed and they didn’t. Paid over 4,000 to get my car fixed and had to take it to someone else to fixed their mistake. I’m calling to let them know and she really going back and forward with about a price when I know well enough what he said and he drop the price after but money wasn’t the issue. Why would I pay these so called professional extra money.. THIS PLACE IS A JOKE AND NON PROFESSIONAL!!

The service was quick, and the staff was friendly.Unfortunately, my breaks began squeaking two weeks after being serviced. I returned to have them adjusted, but they began squeaking again a couple of days later when my vehicle is in reverse.Disappointed

EDIT: Initially I gave this place a really positive review after getting my catalytic converter and oxygen sensor replaced. I decided to bring a different car in because it was making this really loud whining sound around the serpentine belt. I brought the car in and told them about the noise and where it was at, and they told me my whole engine was bad and needed to be replaced. I decided to get a second opinion and it turns out it was the bearings and alternator (which makes sense why it was making noise around the serpentine belt), not the whole engine. I cant see why they would tell me it was the whole engine unless they honestly just dont know how to diagnose problems or they really are just trying to get as much money as possible from you. Either way not happy with the service and now is making me rethink the previous work I had done.Original review: The staff is very knowledgeable and they do fast work that is good quality. I took my car in for a rattle in exhaust, Omar pushed up on the resonater and told me the catalytic converter was broken up inside. $400.00 repair. So, I took my car to another company for a second opinion and found 2 bolts were missing on heat shield. NO CHARGE for repair!!! Omar and amigos are scammers! Do not do business with them!

Got me in for 3 o2 sensors 30ninutes before closing on a Saturday. Very nice, fast and reasonably priced. Will use again for exhaust related. 1997 c1500 silverado.

They changed my front break pads and rotors. After that I got lots of noises coming from front side when I run over street pots. I returned back to the service they replaced only the break pads. The previous one was smaller and causing annoying noise.

Got lucky breaking down on 159th directly in front of American Mufflers & Brakes Complete Auto Repair. I had a bad alternator and kept stalling. Luckily I was able to make it to this shop instead of another place to get help. Omar is fair and explains carefully the diagnosis and required repairs. Fixing problems with your car can get expensive, but I am unemployed and the ladies at the desk were able to work with me considering my situation. All of the people there are friendly and ready to help. I looked over Omars work when I got home and was so impressed with the quality I had to come back and buy him lunch. I will be returning to this business in the future.

This place is not only unprofessional but needs to be immediately shut down! My daughter took her vehicle here last month and spent over $2500 for them to fix everything for them to fix absolutely nothing!!! We just had to call the police on them and file a report yes we will be suing after they faked fixed her car over 5 times and each time they gave it back it did not last one damn day!!!!!!!!! We are livid and will be doing everything in our power to shut this place down even the police were appalled. Do not shop here unless you want to be scammed.

While anticipating a carshield claim theyve diagnosed my car for an alternator water pump that carshield will cover however when I told them to go ahead and do it I was told its not worth it and they have to wait for an authorized email from carshield. Its been about a month ago and Im still waiting for a carshield email to them. Between them and carshield somebodys going to get sued.

My first time going to American mufflers & brakes. It’s close to my home and the review were great. So I took a chance. They were right! Cecilia walked to the back and showed me the issue on my vehicle. Gave me the price and told me it would be worked on the spot. Just what I needed! I had to use their 100days same as cash plan due to the muffler, brakes and a tune needed. Again, she was very informative and pleasant to deal with! Check them out!

They tried ripping me off. I went in for an oil change. And they told me that I desperately needed to change my rotors and pads. I took it to another mechanic and I was told that the rotors in the pads are in perfect condition. Clearly these people try to take advantage of me and I was lucky enough not to fall for it. If you need work done to your car go somewhere else. These people will try to rip you off

I went in for a tire patch and they noticed I had an antifreeze leak turns out it was a bad water pump and took care of it for me right there on the spot for a great price! Roger at the front desk is awesome and really knows his stuff great service.

Just want to put this out there, I usually go to Jiffy Lube or Firestone for my basic car maintenance, but I tried American mufflers for the first time and I honestly really liked how I was treated and how efficient the whole process was. Excellent service from everybody working there. And the prices are reasonable and cheaper than what I usually pay for basic maintenance. Keep it up!!!

Omar, was very knowledge and helpful telling me what was wrong with my car. The price was reasonable for the work.

I went in to get an exhaust leak fixed in my car and it was completed within 45 minutes. I was given a fair quote on the work and was shown the parts of my exhaust that needed to be replaced (flex pipe and catalytic converter) before and after the fix. They also found another problem that needed to be fixed and gave me a quote on that, but didn’t force me to repair it right away. Overall it was a great and fast experience and I definitely would come back again for the service.

We took our vehicle in for diagnostic testing, thinking it needed a fuel pump which we were going to have them replace. It turned out to need easy work not a fuel pump so we decided to do the work ourselves and when we went to pick up the car the brakes were suddenly not working when they worked fine the day before. They went out immediately when we drove out of the bay. Not accusing but the brakes were perfect when we dropped off the vehicle the day before. I fully believe something happened to them after we deci And they were less than cordial when we decided to do the work ourselves.ded not to have the work done there.

Professional and reasonably priced

I have been here several times and have always been treated well. On August 5th, I brought my Vette in for an alternator change. I had the car towed there, so I was in a jam. I was qouted 850 bucks for that along with a new accessory belt. I know I could have gotten the work done for less, but I was in a jam, so I paid it. The service is good, the employees are always kind.

This place is TERRIBLE, they did my muffler system on my car and i had a muffler leak an hr after and had to go back and after that they burned my speedometer sensor and now my speedometer doesn’t work. TERRIBLE place i would NEVER recommend them to anyone. They are wayyy over priced

First of all the staff is awesome!! I purchased an exhaust system and they installed it for my 2016 Dodge Durango R/T!! They called and told me I had the wrong pipes so they had the pipes I needed in stock they gave me a decent price and told me they would call me once the work was finished!! It was finished way faster than I expected and the sound of the new system was way better than what I expected!! Dealt with Ceclia at the counter, who is an absolute delight. She got my info down and my car in the shop at great speed. I came in to have a leaky tire repaired. In a short time the problem was diagnosed, I was informed of my options, and the work began immediately. It was complete in under the 30 minute estimate i was given, and the tire is like new. The people here are friendly and knowledgable and their prices are very affordable. Definitely a go-to place.Wanted to add one more thing: the chairs in the waiting area are huge and comfortable!
