THESE GUYS FN ROCK! I brought my car in, thinking that it is on its last leg. These guys could have seriously told me ANYTHING! Instead, they found a vacuum line off and put it back on. So my engine started misfiring on the way to work and there was no way I was going to make it back home with a 40 mile drive and a check engine light flashing. I brought my car first thing in the morning and explained the situation. Got a call about the diagnosis pretty quick into my work day and was able to pick up my car the very same day after work so I could make it home. Any delay in care would have left my engine in a real dire situation. Sam told me they could have my car ready for me to make it home and he wasnt lying (mind you, this is without an appointment because one doesnt really plan for their engine to suddenly start misfiring on the way to work). Thankful to the whole team for getting me up and running! Hopefully you bring your car in with an appointment, but they really helped me out in my emergency situation!

About 3 weeks ago I was dealing with significant transmission issues. I was looking for the most cost effective resolution. I went and spoke with Dan at AAMCO in Ocala. His professionalism and candidness allowed me to build a strong sense of trust very quickly. Dan assured me that I needed a complete transmission rebuild. He made me aware of all associated costs upfront, he made me aware that he would not have a final amount for the repair until the transmission has been completely dropped and diagnosed. It was a little worrisome for me not knowing 100% of the cost upfront, but Dan made me feel good about the decision to move forward. AAMCO did a complete transmission rebuild for me and I couldn’t be happier. All of my concerns have been resolved regarding my transmission. I went back to see Dan today on a completely separate issue. His mechanic Mike made time to address my concerns immediately. These guys are TOP NOTCH A+ people that you should go to for your mechanical needs! Dan runs a professional business, his staff is knowledgeable, and they get the job done right! He was great with us and when we had technical complications with getting the money to him, even though it caused a hold on the scheduled date to pay, he was patient, kind, and constantly kept looking for more convenient options for us to utilize. My mom and pop took my car here to get my transmission checked because I just got a new car a new used car at that but the guy Dave and I hope Im saying the right name, but Dave is very honest trustworthy guy. So you looking for a good place to go? Some people you can trust go to Aamco. But I wasnt the one that took my car. I was the one that hit in the action with Dave. So again somewhere you can trust go to Aamco.

The only negative remark I have about AAMCO is that they are expensive. That being said, they are expensive for a reason.Josh has been very helpful. The shops diagnosis matched that of the previous shop I took it to, so odds are they are not lying about my cars transmission issue. AAMCO offers a 3 year warranty on a new transmission, which is great. Honestly, I wouldnt have accepted paying so much had there not been a warranty of this length offered. Other places I checked with did not offer more than a year...... Personally, I feel that a year just isnt long enough.They offer financing, which is good, and we were able to get a year free from interest which is helpful.A few pieces of advice:Do not buy a used car and if you do, do not buy one with a CVT transmission from the years of 2008-2012.Always expect the worst and hope for the best. Transmissions, fuel pumps, etc. are expensive to replace (most of the time) so make sure to take good care of your car by making sure its maintained.Lastly, if your car does end up with such a problem make sure to get a second, third, and fourth opinion. Go with whatever shop specializes in what needs to be repaired.

I have been taking my Toyota Tacoma to AAMCO Transmissions in Ocala for approximately 3 years. Joshua, the center manager, has always been helpful and courteous, a pleasure to deal with. When I call for service, I am always able to get my vehicle scheduled for service within a day or two. When I arrive for my scheduled appointment, he has always been able to put my vehicle immediately into the shop and have one of his technicians begin the work. I have had u-joints replaced, a transmission rebuilt, new brake pads, rotors, brake shoes, brake drums installed, and routine maintenance performed. He has always fully explained any problems found and provided an accurate estimate of cost. I have found his prices and warranty much better than the ones I received elsewhere in the past. I have always received my truck back as promised in good working order. I would highly recommend this shop for any vehicle needs and have done so on several occasions. I will be continuing to use this shop for my vehicle needs. Thank you Josh and staff for a great job.

Did a great job getting our AC going for us before the hot Florida summer sets in! Joshua offered to let me come back in the next day to pay because I wasnt prepared to get the AC fixed when I came in. Just wanted an AC check up. But I managed to get hold of my son and paid over the phone for the work. Their prices are really fair compared to other shops. We have stopped going to a lot of local shops for different reasons but we plan on using AAMCO more in the future!

I called to ask some questions and ended up speaking with Josh. I made an appointment and ended up dropping my vehicle off the next day. They went over it and diagnosed it and called me a few hours later. Josh said it would take 2-3 days, but they managed to get it done in 2. The best part was my bill was $390 less than he quoted me. Its nice to know there is still honest repair shops. I will be bringing my vehicle back for all future repairs. I will also tell everyone i know.

Misleading and full of games very scandalous. Bobby is a sweet talker and he will make you feel as comfortable as can be but all he does is get you on parts and labor to spend more money than is necessary for the actual repair some parts will actually not be in need of repair and he will have you get that repaired if you do not pay attention your bill will grow to a enormous amount. I told him I had a time frame to have to use to have the car done it took seven days for that to get done on top of that I had to actually find most of parts for them to work with. He had me purchase parts at the local parts store and told me to call them and give them my credit card number over the phone because I was getting a special discount they were lining the pockets of their wallets with this AutoZone in Ocala off of Pine Avenue in on it to. The most horrible experience of all this being lied to and when you make a business deal you have to have the trust to both parties there is no trust here at all I feel misled and abused for my trust I will no longer go here and they will definitely hear from my attorney and I will also make it my main mission to make as many reviews as possible about the situation.

I would 100% recommend AAMCO Ocala to a friend and they have earned my return business. I have a ‘05 Frontier 2.5 L with a rare transmission type. I called junkyards all round and nobody had my transmission. Dealership wanted over $7k for a remanufactured one. I called around other transmission shops and they all said I either needed a new remanufactured transmission or a new truck before they even put the truck on a lift. I called AAMCO of Ocala and Bobby and the crew were so professional. No BS, they diagnosed the problems and went systematically through each issue they found with my transmission and provided me options on how to address them. I chose to have the transmission rebuilt and put a new transmission mount and torque converter. Now my truck is back running great and for about a third less than the price I would have paid For a remanufactured transmission.

Josh was amazing he sent a tow truck and worked with our warranty company. We were three hours from a destination when the car broke down. He did everything to make us feel better and not to worry while we were on vacation. He had our car fixed and waiting for us as soon as our vacation was over. We took it from his shop and drove back to micMichithat day. He was truly our Angle watching over us. I dont know how we would have gotten home with out him.

I have been to other shops before and always felt I was being jerked around, over charged and didnt get a clear understanding or explanation of repairs. After looking at the dealership and other shops, AAMCO was the only place to work with me and be understanding when I needed to put a new engine in my Mazda. They are friendly, VERY fast, affordable, and very upfront and honest. I would recommend them over and over.

Aamco is absolutely horrible my sons transmation went out in his truck took them over a month to get it replaced and 5 months later it broke down again took them another month to fix it, I would never use them ever again, aamco sends their transmissions out and orders from a third party company, they SUCK

Called for an estimate to rebuild a trans that was already pulled out and they refused to even give an estimate! Claimed they couldnt diagnosis the problem. It had a bearing noise with no codes and drove fine otherwise. Claimed he just didnt feel good about it. Pathetic service

Life savers ! Transmission went on t/c van new years eve. Had it back totally repaired in 3 days. They explIn all needed and what they have to do before they do it and tell you all your options. You are not left to wonder whats going on and why, I like that.

I sent my wifes Lincoln MKX here to have brakes done. They broke another part on the car without alerting anyone it was malfunctioning, and THEN, told me they were doing me a favor by allowing me to only pay for 2 hours of labor + the cost of the brake booster (they broke) for $270. Labor is $110/hour. They said the job usually calls for 3 hours. Ended up going to Turners garage a couple blocks away because they got the part for $170 and only did 2 hours worth of labor to start. DO NOT USE AAMCO. First and only time I will ever use this Wal-Mart brand auto shop.But yes, they have a clean shop and the manager is very professional. The mechanics seem to be on the up and up, but to not even know you broke a part and allow it to be returned to the customer is beyond low. They do not deserve your business by ANY stretch.

My car wasn’t shifting smoothly and I knew something was wrong I was close to home so home we went. Then after awhile I turned the car back it started up but the engine light came on so I shut it off and had it towed first to the auto dealership we bought it new at but they didn’t have equipment anymore that could diagnose it for sure but the mechanic felt it was a solenoid in the transmission but wasn’t sure ifthat was all was told maybe a transmission place could diagnose it but they would probably want to rebuilt it and maybe it was time to think about anew car . So had it towed to Aamco and Aamco was wonderful Bobby explained everything that they were doing and what they found and what needed to be done. He was patient when I called and asked questions and always gave me answers I could understand. THANK YOU I have found a place I feel safe bringing my car for routine service & when I have problems. And my car is running wonderful now.

My daughter turned me on to Aamco when my power steering pump was loosing fluid and after my husband and son in law replaced the pump. My daughter thought that it was something more serious, the rack and pinion, it was taken to Aamco. Bobby was so helpful, professional, and courteous with me. This was the first vehicle that I have ever taken to a repair shop and I was not disappointed. Bobby called my daughter and explained everything to her, so she could explain it to me. He confirmed that it was indeed the rack and pinion. The work was completed Friday afternoon after diagnostics were started Tuesday Evening/Wednesday Afternoon. Bobby has been great with my daughter and son in laws vehicles on things in which they could not fix themselves including a transmission repair. This place is TOTAL garbage. They are very good at misleading the customer and they are also bad about replacing parts that are bot bad. I had a LOT of trouble with this place and they are also REALLY expensive. 👎

My wifes car had been sitting for a year until we could afford to get it taken care of. A friend referred her to Aamco and from the very first day she called, Adam was there and definitely willing to help. Got the car towed in and even though the problem did not replicate itself for them, they still ran through every possible cause and gave the car a complete check over. We were expecting a very high diagnostics bill to rack up because of them being so thorough, but it was very affordable. My wife drove her baby (car) home today and said that it has run better than when we first bought it. She was also told that if the issue presents itself again, to get it to them as soon as possible so they can catch the culprit behind all of the headache. With that being said, we have asked around at several difference places what issue could be and several different shops said it sounds like the transmission is slipping/going into limp mode. Adam and the crew pointed to what she had suspected from the very begining and agreed that all the issues could be caused by a faulty or failing TCM. My wife is beyond pleased with the service she received from the crew at Aamco and we have decided that this will be our new go-to shop for anything we can not fix ourselves. Thank you Adam for making this stressful time easier for us.

Today I went to get my Oil Chage and A/C worked on. I was told last year that I needed a new A/C from tires Pluse and it would cost me at lease $800.00 because it needed a new A/C. But today I got my Oil Change and my A/C Recharge and there was not a thing wrong with my A/C so today I paid $288.89. I will always come back to AAMCO.

From the initial phone call all the way up past picking up my truck and 10 days later Aamco took care of me. They were very professional and extremely customer focused. Dropped my truck off on a Tuesday, had a service estimate early Wednesday morning. Gave the go ahead late Wednesday and picked up my completely rebuilt transmission along with a new blower motor for the ac Friday afternoon running better than ever. I had my trans worked on here in May.In our first conversation, I told Josh the car year and model and trans type. He told me the rebuild price (worst case scenario).After diagnosis, rebuild price was a little high (that price was for a 4 speed and you have a 6 speed) but torque converter was the usual suspect (its acting like a torque converter. We might have to replace the valve body.)The price skyrocketed because they not only did a rebuild but also replaced torque converter, valve body, and the TEHCM module. GM is notorious for TEHCM module issues as this was fairly new tech at the time of manufacture. Im pretty sure any trans tech would know this and it would help to know something like that before they put the car in the lift and the whole process becomes irreversible.Highly typical auto industry business practices so dont expect to be blown away by genuine honesty or anything like that.It is important to note that they do good work for the price. Most issues I attribute to lousy GM manufacturing. Would be nice though if a big name like AAMCO could develop some proprietary software to go around poor design by the OEM.Josh did reach out to me after my first review. He wanted to offer to have them look at my car if I was having any issues. Of course theres nothing they can do about the GM programming.. So.. But It was thoughtful though.Oh and I dont know what all this hoopla is about the fast turn around. Mine was in the shop for two weeks.

I highly reccomend AAMCO in Ocala, FL! Everytime we have taken our Tahoe in for service, we have always been satisfied with the work they do. Just call Josh and he will do everything he can to make sure the customer is taken care of. We moved an hour North of Ocala and we still drive back because we know the job will get done and in a timely manner.

I had my oil changed by Valvoline in Bradenton and they messed up my transmission plugs (long story). As I was traveling to ATL, I had to stop in Ocala to check on my transmission. I pulled into AAMCO and Josh immediately helped me out. All the bays were full, but because they knew I was on my way up north, they moved a vehicle out and put my car on the lift. Pete and Josh checked it out, saw what issue Valvoline created and fixed the problem.They called the Valvoline shop in Bradenton, who wanted to stick me with the bill. Josh went to bat for me and told Valvoline how they should treat their customers. I was impressed. After hearing the conversation I expected to be stuck with a bill. Josh treated me right, filled out the documentation to show that Valvoline messed up, and told me to have a safe trip. He said not to worry about anything, including the bill.As I stopped in Valdosta, I checked on the plugs and there were no leaks. Everything that Pete did was perfect. Josh even sent a text checking up on my status to see if everything was OK.That is what I call solid customer service. I am so impressed with those guys. Not to mention, they got me on the road quickly and I made it to ATL so I could coach my team!

Awesome! Nothing short of it. Had my Honda transmission fail me completely on a road trip from Miami to atl. I called josh at aamco and thats all I ever had to do. He came and got my car, stored it, got me set up with a rental to go home, and fixed my transm for a fair price in record time. Was able to drive my car within days of the incident. Very professional and goes beyond the call of duty to get my car fixed. Awesome work!! Awesome team!
