The move went very smoothly. FL to PA. The two crews were both polite and very professional. Only a two drawer hanging file desk was damaged beyond repair. Otherwise, everything was accounted for an delivered in good condition. Wed definitely use them again!

Hughes Relocation Services (United Van Lines) did a great job! Our moving coordinator, Maria, was always available and very responsive in helping us answer any questions we had during the process. Bruce (first contact) was also very responsive and professional. We moved from FL to Ohio and they moved us completely within the week timeframe they provided. I will note that some of our items arrived smelling heavily of smoke. However, it’s nothing febreze or a wash can’t fix. We appreciate the service they was provided. Especially, as moving is very stressful in itself and there are a lot of horror stories about not trusting moving companies. You can trust Hughes Relocation Services.

We moved from one side of the country to another. We picked United Van Lines and Hughes (local reps for United) for their helpful service and concern for providing the customer with excellent service. They were available for advice and any needed help 24 hours a day. They provided a clean truck driven by Vic who I can only describe as being the worlds hardest working and BEST moving van driver with one fantastic crew to load us in Florida and another great crew to unload us at our new home three days later. The best news is both the loading and unloading crews were professional movers - NOT day labor. It all started with two SUPER people at Hughes Relocation Services. Thank you Bruce and Maria !!! This was our family’s first cross country move and their services made it exponentially easier. They take a face to face approach in understanding how to best serve your need and stay in close touch every step of the way.There are challenges with logistics that make nailing down an exact timeline difficult, their accessibility makes it just a little easier while you play the waiting game.Overall, good customer service and our stuff made it the 3,000 mile trip with no real damages.

I was very pleased with Maria especially. she followed up on everything+ made sure the paperwork was in order. The salesman was also very good,+ had a great deal of experience. the only problem I had was that they marked most all mt stuff PotsPans, or glass wear. They mixed up my storage items+ those to go to the house.. After one month, Im still trying to find my things. The driver+ the packers were excellent. The first day was rough with only 2 packers. They truly need a reward after all their hard work!

I loved Mr. Hughs and his staff, excellent administration and Mr. Hughs came over early on the packing day to assure me he was only a phone call away if I needed him.The packers took short days, arriving late and leaving early plus a full lunch time causing issues on the loading day. As I unpacked there would be a small dog toy in a box of office electronics but the box was labeled “dog item”. This happened in over 20 boxes. Mostly with “cat or dog item” but other times it would say “living room” but it was 95% master bedroom with only one or two small items from the living room. I spent many days looking for items in the wrongly marked boxes! Although only a couple things arrived broken (not too bad for an interstate move), I was not happy that some heavy “non-high valued” items were packed with my expensive, high valued items. My family Bible was packed with dog beds. Watch the packers carefully. They were too busy telling jokes to pay close attention to what they were doing. They may have done this to put me at ease but I’d rather had seen them concentrating on their work.The truck driver and the loaders were great; asking questions and patiently trying to assist the packers with last minute garage items since the packers left early the day before.The truck took a couple extra days to arrive through no fault of the driver himself. But the driver and the unloaders were great!!! The unloaders were courteous and patient with me as I tried to figure out where everything would go. They were professional, patient and “clean” when working in my house.The truck driver made me fall in love with him. He was funny while being extremely professional and courteous!! He hadn’t slept for over 24 hours but maintained full business decorum!!! He handles paperwork and looking for “missed numbers” without question and knew what the item was so we could locate it in the house. Loved this driver and if I knew how to reach him we’d have him and his family over for dinner!!

We thought everything went very well until our delivery in NC. The company staff were great but the plan was to hire locals to assist the delivery was flawed. The locals were no good and had to be fired before the unloading began making the 2 person team work way too hard. Also, the unloading of my car was mismanaged. There was no unloading dock at the specified locale necessitating a wrecker to substitute and unload the car. This service was less than I expected but it all worked out in the end.

Weve moved on numerous occasions in the past 10 years and often had bad experiences. However, weve employed Hughes Relocation Services for two separate moves from Florida to North Carolina since 2012. This firm by far, is the most professional moving company weve ever had the pleasure of dealing with.Theyre field representative is prompt, professional, very knowledgeable and more than happy to assist in every way possible.The same is true for his associate who handles matters of coordinating time lines and matters with the drivers and crews.Additionally, the drivers and their crews leave nothing to chance and take every precaution to be absolutely certain our furniture was handled with care, and in all instances there was an adequate number of physically strong moving crews. Okay, where to begin. Let’s start at the beginning. Bruce did a nice job estimating and answering questions. Maria was a sweetheart and very helpful.However, a major issue came up with the hauler. We were given an estimate of 5-7 days for the shipment to arrive. It was scheduled for arrival on the 13th day after loading and that was before the trailer broke down.We were not told that there was no coverage for late delivery if the shipment was going to a private storage facility.So, there were major issues but with the hauler, not with Hughes. A little more information about the potential problems would have helped our planning. But I am guessing that once a hauler is selected, it is basically out of your hands.

On time very clean. They told me my washer had a leak on the water line. They were right.I bought the hose before it made a mess on my wood floor. Very nice people to talk with.You should hire Hughes they do a great job

Brett the driver,is wonderful!! He is a good planner and executes the plan fast and efficient. He managed his helper with dignity and they worked like a well-oiled machine. They provided chairs and water for us-it was fun watching them from the peanut gallery. He loaded along both sides so we can get at stuff if needed. Bruce in sales did customer service the whole way through. Maria is efficient and planned our journey well. And then there is Kenny the Packer. OMG he was a whirling dervish. He did such a good job and just kept moving and if it wasnt tied down, he packed it. We would recommend this company for long-our was 1200 miles-or across town deliveried.

Very good move from FL to Texas storage. Only glitch was that the cost was underestimated by about 10%.

This is by far the worst move. Our family has moved approximately ten times and never had this experience. They seem to only communicate when we inquire and send emails. We have broken items, as well as numerous boxes missing. We continue to hear the same message, “we are contacting other families who had stored household goods during your timeframe”. Totally unacceptable. We have been very patient, but enough is enough. Thank goodness this is our last move.

They made what was a particularly stressful situation so much better. Elaine is the best. I miss her already. Fair priced and fantastic! Dont look anywhere else!!

Things got broken because they werent packed properly. The high value items were not marked properly. The packers took many breaks and refused to help move boxes out of the way to expedite the move. They over packed by 40 boxes.
