Stay away from this place. they charged 40$ pretending to check my ac and then tell me to come back for additional troubleshooting and $$$. while the guy works on your car, works with other customers and looks like pretending doing something. shady people.

Got great price and quick service for smog check

I give them a bad rating over. I went in to get my mass flow air sensor fixed and they gave me a bad part. So I went to another machine that did it right and for less the cost. Then when I tried to return the part (still brand new)and get a refund they said they would give me a call. Its been 5 months and I still havent received a call. I dont recommend going there. I havent went back since. They basically cheated me out of $340.

This was the worst experience I have ever had at a mechanic! DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!! STAY AWAY!I took my car(nice sports car) in to this shop for a problem that I have had before. A pretty serious vibration from the engine which was a bad harmonic balancer just 1 year ago. I suspect it was a bad replacement part. I told them that I knew what the problem was, and asked them to replace that part that went bad on me. I then left them my car. They called later to tell me, my diagnosis of the problem was wrong, that part was fine, and that they were going to drop the whole transmission to try to find this vibration. I was doubtful, but he convinced me to let them continue by saying the balancer was in perfect shape. So they drop the whole tranny, and call me back to say that they still have no clue what the vibration is. His next suggestion made me laugh out loud. The shop says to me that now they suspect a crankshaft has snapped in half and they want to pull the entire engine and disassemble it to inspect the engine internals. Now I have actually had a crankshaft snap in half in a previous car and let me tell you, it wouldnt be running at all. If this shop knew anything about engines they would have known that too. After listening to the mechanics at Valdovinos blabber on about why they think I should have them do another $2000 worth of work for a while I told them to stop what they were doing on my car. They were turning my pride and joy sports car into a gutted carcass over a what should have been a simple $250 repair, of one of the pulleys on the front of the engine. (Harmonic Balancer) I couldnt believe it. I asked them to put my transmission back in and to give me the bill. I go over there to pick it up and the tranny is reinstalled. It still vibrates like it did when I brought it in originally. I take it home and check the harmonic balancer myself. I find that if I grab it it spins around freely instead of being solid. Obviously just a bad part from the manufacturer EXACTLY LIKE I SAID IT WAS!!! I bought a new balancer and slapped it on myself. PROBLEM SOLVED. Vibration gone. I start driving it around again and after maybe 100 miles the transmission is making a horrible noise. This is a manual transmission and it sounds like rocks are in it. So I take it back to Valdovinos. They put it on the lift and I can see the mechanic checking the tranny for oil. Valdovinos mechanic checks the tranny and finds absolutely no fluid. They never put any fluid in the tranny after reassembling it!! The mechanic tried to hide the fact that he found no fluid and quickly added tranny fluid. When I asked him about it he said it was low and that he added some more fluid. But it was already too late. My tranny was toast. Even with the fluid, it continued to get worse until it was intolerable. I brought the issue to Valdovinos and they basically told me to go away! They said it wasnt their fault. So I took up a claim with the BBB. Well it turns out the BBB has very little power over these businesses because after the BBB heard my story and found me to be a victim, they could only get Valdovino to offer just the labor for the Removal and replacement of a transmission. So I would have to buy a new tranny and bring it to them where they offered to do just labor for free. NO flippin way am i letting these idiots touch lay hands on my car again. Plus why do I need to buy the trans? You guys burnt it up. So I denied those terms. The BBB said to me, ok you deny their terms, then case closed. I could not believe it. The BBB barely did anything and left me hanging. The tranny they burnt up was a special 1 year only beefed up version specific to my year sports car. They dont make those anymore. So I had to buy an unknown origin, craigslist, used, regular version transmission from a different year, and pay ANOTHER shop to swap them. And now all I can do is warn anyone else who is thinking of coming here to keep their cars far far away. Valdovinos has no honor, no skill and should no way deserve anyones business.

This is literally the worst mechanic I ever been to. I strong advise staying away from here.

They stole money from me!!!!!I payed $30 for gas with my card and when I got home later that night, they had taken an additional $35 from my account?!!!!!!!!! I am going to go back tommorow and someone is getting yelled at.
