One of the best Big Lots Ive ever been to, great selection.

Went in store looking for a chair for my big guy and found just what I was looking for, he absolutely loved it and the price of a baby recliner was very reasonable. He loves his chair! All he needed was a good 20 more years, a football game and a beer lol. Thanks Big Lots!

This is my favorite big lots, maybe because i use to work there and helped set up the store so I am byis. but I really like this store. I am in there at least once a week. what i dont like is that they do not accept EBT. My family member is on a fixed income and would like some products (food) from this big lots but they just dont accept it. so we have to drive to the one all the way off of college. and that is kind of a pain since we live right up the street on the other side of the 5. :((( .... other then that the staff is great the place is always clean. even with the homeless trying to take over the parking lot it is not that bad of an experience. LOVE BIG LOTS!!!

Went to Target to buy a musical Snow globe m saw big lot so decided to check it out. They have very nice Christmas selection n other stuff too. Give only 4 star because no one is perfect.

Great place to shop great place save a lot of money at Big lots

Convient location, even thought parking can be a hassle with the target parking taking most of the lot. Prices have improved. Still trying to stock a lot of stuff that has been slow from the manufacturers. Paper products, cell phone accessories, small kitchen appliances and pet stuff is cheaper here then the target next door. Staff is always very polite and helpful. Store seems mainly clean aside some of shelves.

Big Lots is starting to offer more brand name products. While some items are offered at reduces prices, Big Lots isnt really a discount store like they used to be.

Nice store and the shelves are full with a lot of brand names items, if youre looking for that. Lots of goodies for the childrens lunches if they are returning back to school.

Big Lots is a low grade K-Mart. You can find comeawesome deals but knots of know quality items as well. Today the store was really disorganized. There was only one register open with 5 people in line behind me and 2 in front of me.

The employees are so kind. The store has things for all ages, also for our beloved pets. There are delicious snacks and household items.

But they didnt have what I needed. Neither did any other store, Target, Albertsons, etc..looking for wipes for counter..like Kirkland Signature wipes.. O well...

I came into this store for the first time on a whim after work this evening.. Not only does it have a HUGE selection of all kinds of items and GREAT prices, but this location also has SUPER friendly staff! After wandering around, checking everything out (to my surprise what felt like mere minutes, actually turned out to be an hour!) I went to the register to check out... I work in customer service and deal with all sorts of clients bringing their beloved fur children into the vet hospital, I believe in giving everyone nothing less then the best service and going the extra mile... When it comes to customer service, I am not easily impressed as I have very high standards.. The gal at the register this evening definitely took my already fun experience here and made it a GREAT one.. She was extremely nice, friendly, smiling, made sure I had found everything I was needing, got me set up for the rewards card.. It may not sound like much to some people, but if you are in customer service, youll understand... Thank you Shelly for making my experience this evening a memorable one and for your wonderful service, I will definitely be back for some more shopping at this store!!!

I was very surprised to see a big lot and went in there that spent more money than I thought I would ever spend but anyway they have so much stuff there they got food they got some food they have you named it blankets sheets picture frames all them good things

I find a lot of Bargains at Big Lots. And if youre interested in furniture they have layaway. Their prices have increased a little bit. I think theyre trying to move into the niche that Target used to be in when they kind of upgraded their stores. I find really good jams there for a dollar sometimes and get a lot of my paper products and household kitchen items there. The Big Lots in Vista has a refrigerated section and the Big Lots in Oceanside does not just FYI.

This place has got the best deals on swimming pools starting at 25 dollars..they also have 17 foot metal frame above ground pools for 379 dollars...all the accessories for the kids to really have a wet n wild summer...dont miss out...get them while supplies last...and the EMPLOYEES are great! They put their money where their mouth is!!!

Decided to try this store today for the first time, Im glad I did. Big Lots is a great place to find any kind of items, they have well known brands and some I didnt recognize.I was going to compliment my cashier by name here but her name isnt on my receipt, she had personality plus!! Big Lots was a very pleasant experience today, I plan on returning soon.

I like to shop here to restock on home essentials. But always end up doing a little decor shopping. They have alot of seasonal decor and they have great sales after the season!! Great service.they ask if you need help finding anything, almost every time i go in someone will ask me.which helps.Register counters are a bit small but i think big lots just needs an update honestly.

I used to really like this big lot store but now it seems to be turning into another grocery store. I used to like all the unique items they sold I Wont Go Back.

They have interesting items, which makes it fun, but I was helping a friend purchase a great number of outdoor cushions and when we got to her home, four of the cushions did not get in the cart or the car. Now she has to get someone to pick them up for her as she is unable to drive. Little disappointed.

I was there at 8:30 at night so the parking lot was almost empty. Customer service is always the best. Great bargains great employees

It is a discount store and the merchinse Is never the same.

The store is a bit dated and is also messy but is fully stocked and still has great prices on many items. So, if youre looking for a great experience this really isnt the place however if youre just looking for a deal and have some time then its worth looking inside to see whats available since sale items change regularly.

Cisco (manager) is awesome. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Shows he really cares about the customer. Will definitely be back.

Big Lots on College Avenue in Oceanside is GREAT! For a store that is as busy as this one is, customer service is pretty darned good. Its not Macys or Neiman Marcus, but Ill tell you, Ive gotten some pretty lousy service at those stores, when they werent even busy! I dont mind waiting in line for good deals, and if they kept more people on staff to wait on people who want that personal touch they would have to raise prices to cover their wages.All in all, I love Big Lots, and just hate to see so many closing because of Rent Increases. I think IRS rules need to be changed so landlords cant take a loss for vacant units, when they are driving good, solid tenants away, by asking for rent increases that are unreasonable!

Got what I was looking for at a reasonable price. Didnt like being pitched for a credit card at check out, but guess I cant blame them for trying.

Good prices, good selection of snack foods. One of those places you go to find small items for a lot cheaper... Think shower curtains, bathroom rugs, picture frames.

I like to buy useful/ organizational items here such as bins & other items for the household. DVDs & music CDs too. Some small appliances & cookware. * Today I saw a 5 or 6at. .RED Dutch Oven cast iron pot (with lid) for less than $40 * thats a great savings!

Not great!! We ran in on the way to a birthday party and the shopping part was easy but the line was a NIGHTMARE!!!!We got in the shortest line but then a price check took like 10 minutes because the customer was then using the price checked to SHOP for her (like Oh, ok then can you go see if you have it in black? Comes back with black and the customer says this box is bent can you change it out and actually I would prefer gray!!!!) THEY LET HER DO THIS in their express check out!!So.....we move to the next line and the girl couldnt scan our 5 hr energy so I just grab another bottle from the same box at the register....she spent two minutes visually comparing the bar codes so I told her they are the same flavor ad size it will be the same but NO she still was trying to figure it out when I said nevermind Ill just buy the new one I handed you SHE DID NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT I MEANT!!!!

Today I went to pick up 2 patio chairs, I bought at Big Lots and I was amazed at the bad attitude the employees showed. I got there and the manager seemed very busy, So I was patiently waiting for help; he said it will be a few minutes. I was in no rush, so it was fine with me. Then I get approached by an employee she said have you been helped? I said no, I am just here to pick up 2 chair, she responded too bad I cant help you I am off the clock. She pointed to the manager hell help you. I said the poor guys line keeps growing, He was attending as a cashier. She said the other person went on break. I said it looks like 3 people are on break at the same time. One of the people on break sets off an alarm. The employee said I dont not how to reset it and I dont want to learn how. That is his problem pointing to the manager.The poor manager seemed very busy and stress; with employees like that who would not be, the lack of team work, their body language showing poor attitude. I say replace them for immigrants hungry to work. This is what is wrong in america, no going the extra mile. dont talk to me I am on break; that is not on my job description; if you want me to do that then I need a raise, If I learn that then they will add it to my duties, If I go the extra mile they will expect it all the time. Get ride of them, there is plenty of unemployed.Build a team that takes pride in their job; make the job fun, humor always helps change the atmosphere.

We bought a small grill from this place, took it out of the box when we got home and there was food in the grill and the whole thing was wrapped in kitchen paper towels from the previous owner! It was supposed to be new! Disgusting! Not to mention everything is so unorganized, nothing is priced. Do not recommend. Go to Walmart. Better prices at Walmart.
