Just stopped by to see what the gas fireplaces look like, they have a nice selection. Sales person was super helpful even though we are building out of the area. He even suggested buying closer to the house for easier warranty repairs if needed. Highly recommend them for anyone looking for a stove or fireplace.

I have been dealing with this company since October of 2020. We requested a fireplace logset install. We had the owner Darrell come out for an estimate and he recommended what we would need to purchase. He said he would order the set and get with us to install the log set and chase cover. We called several times for follow up and he finally scheduled the install. When the technician came to install, he said he couldn’t because we needed a gas shut off at the unit. Darrell missed that when he came to give us the estimate. We were committed to the job at that point as the installer had removed our old parts and left us with an empty unit. We finally had a date set for install and were very unhappy. The installer cut a two foot hole in our exterior wall to put in the shut off, leaving a unfinished hole, the log set remote on the outside of the fireplace because he said leaving it inside would melt the unit. He did not have the chase cover, so again we had an incomplete project. I went in to the office on Friday, April 2nd to pay and have the chase install scheduled since Darrell wouldn’t respond to phone calls or emails. He met me at the counter, said he would have it installed today April 6th at 1:30 give or take an hour. No one showed up, so I called the office only to find out that we weren’t on the schedule and Darrell had left for the day. I am on the schedule for this coming Friday, April 9th. I have no confidence in this company or their work. I would not recommend them to ANYONE. The owner Darrell is the worst businessman I have ever dealt with for any home project. Unreliable and untrustworthy. His technicians seem professional but he isn’t.

Weve bought 2 gas fireplaces from these folks and we love both the fireplaces and the service. The technicians are clean, fast, and good at their jobs. Highly recommended!

We recently bought a natural gas stove at Capital City, replacing a 30 year-old wood stove. They have a decent selection of brands and types of stoves. They cover a variety of prices and heating levels (how much heat they give off; how much square feet the stove can heat easily).The salesman was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. They made prompt appointments and kept us informed of what needed to be done. The installation crew was very professional. We have no complaints at all and we are very happy with our new stove.

I want to express our sincere appreciation for your awesome customer service. We were concerned with some excessive blackening on the glass that we didnt have before. We called and had our fireplace serviced with another local heating and AC business and were told we had a cracked base plate and it would cost over a 1000 dollars to repair it and told not to use it until fixed. We contacted Capital City Stove about maybe getting a new fireplace as a better option.Larry and his partner were confused on the quote and came out within 2 days to look at it. After a few minutes, they saw the problem. The flames were way to high and they just adjusted it with a screwdriver. It works perfectly now.They saved us a lot of money and will be our first call every time for service and support.Thank you again!!!

2 stars for price, everything else earns 0. I needed a pizo for my fireplace and I needed the gas fireplace inspected and a small repair. I ended up without the pizo (after being assured they would bring one), a gas leak that my husband had to fix after they worked on it!!, very rude people, and then denying they were the ones that installed it when they first said they did, and I got a flyer from them in the mail as a reminder to have it inspected. I would avoid this company like the plague. Horrible stressful experience dealing with them.

They are wholesome. They just want what is best for you. I went in to spend money I didnt have to. They guided me to a solution right for me, not them.

Wonderful!Came all the way out to Yelm and didnt charge me extra. Cleaned up and did a complete inspection of my fireplace. They took the time to show me all the fireplace features. I will gladly hire them again.

I recieved excellent customer service here. I shopped a few locations and did my homework but kept ending up back at their door. They went out of their way to answer all my questions and even gave me other options and great ideas I never even thought about. I got an outstanding deal. This place is legit. I have a very close friend in Arizona that owns a fireplace store, I called and asked what his cost would be for the exact make and model of fireplace I bought through cap city. His cost as a dealer was about $120 cheaper, he said I would of payed more in shipping to have him send me one at his cost. These guys rock! 5 stars all the way!!

Capital City Stoves has amazing customer service. I have been relying on them for 10+ years and have never been let down. They kept my old Whitfield pellet stove running beyond its years till it literally died recently. Even though my Whitfield was slowly failing they never pressured me into getting another stove but did all they could to keep my old Whitfield alive and running. I did my research and compared stoves as well as installation costs knowing there was no chance of reviving the Whitfield. Capital City was clearly at the top in price as well as installation costs. We were open with them and told them about various stoves we were interested in and why from different businesses. Larry explained pros and cons took his time with us without any big sales pitch explaining differences and giving quotes.After all the comparisons, we went with Capital City and ordered the Meridian pellet stove. We ordered it and set up time for install. We were very glad to have Larry at our home for the install. He was awesome because instead of just installing through the existing hole in the home like planned, he showed us how far the stove would sit into the room first asking if that was what we expected and if not gave us options. The stove we ordered did stick out further than expected and was problematic for us. Larry and his assistant were so patient and professional...not sure you would get that level of service anywhere else. Larry was up front, explained details and stated if we wanted it set further back that it would require cutting a second hole in the wall and take more time than planned. He clearly explained details and got approval before initiating the change in plans. The stove looks beautiful in our home because of Larry and the outstanding service that was provided. If you need a stove and/or help with your pellet stove you will not find anyone better than Capital City. Larry...thank you so much for the personal attention and outstanding service you provided.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I purchased my first home and needed a replacement gas fireplace insert. I am by no means an expert, so I did a little bit of research but went into Capital City Stove for answers to my questions and guidance. I was treated as if I was the dumbest person on the planet! The salesman acted as if he were annoyed by my questions, and although there was no one else in the shop, that I was stealing his time. I then began discussing installation and was informed that they only install on weekdays. I work Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm and taking a day off is not an option. One of the managers rudely explained to me that it was considered overtime so I would have to pay more for the install. I agreed that that was fine as it was my only option. He then told me that he would have to see if any of the installers was even willing to work on a weekend. I was informed that they would get back to me on Monday (which was only 2 days later). It has now been almost three weeks and I have yet to hear from anyone! They obviously dont want my business.

Great advice and a frank discussion. We were looking for service on an older stove they dont carry. The frankly told me they wouldnt know if they had the parts or could repair it in a timely manner because of the brand and age of the gas heat stove. And they referred me to competitors that sell our brand plus some other heating service businesses. We bought our Weber here last year and these people are excellent to deal with!

Buying our new grill was an easy and quick process. We are totally happy with the purchase. The salesman was easy to work with and answered our questions.The next day he actually tracked my address down and stopped by our house to returned $50 that he had inadvertently overcharged us. We hadnt even noticed. That level of honesty is rare; theyve certainly earned my future business.

I have an older Weber grill that needed some new parts. I contacted CCSG and gave them the model and asked if they carried parts. They checked their stock and YES they had them. Picked them up. I needed additional parts to bring it up to date and clean. They didnt have and Weber was out but they said they would try to get. Two weeks later I received a call and will pick them up tomorrow. Great service and lots of info with parts at a reasonable price. I like this place.

Wow.....called with a problem on our stove that we got last year from a competitor; didnot want to use them again. From Larry answering my call to James repairing our stove,these guys are the greatest. The air vent was totally shut and had never been connectedto begin with. The stove kept going out, sooting up with black ash. Now it functions betterthan new, with much more spread of beautiful flames, and we can use it all night withouthaving to keep checking if operational.Thank you for your help, honesty and workmanship. Had a problem with a stove i had so i called and darrell said it would be faster if i brought it in so i did which was kinda of a pain, but when i got there he said no problem we can get to it in about 5 days, a week later i called and he now said that i was in line there was like 10 customers ahead of me, i said thought you said you would look at it in 5 days he goes we are to busy and if you want to come and get it and take it some where else i could but scene i live aways away just thought i would wait, a week later i called again darrell said nope have not had time to get to it and that if i want to come and get it i was welcome to, so i waited another week nothing, so i called and told them to just go ahead and do what you have been doing which was nothing and i,ll come and get it, took it back home and called another company, the told me we will come to you and not to bring it in that its better to look at it in the home were its installed, to diagnose it better, makes since, anyway they came out fixed it and now i.m warm and happy, guess i took it to the wrong place in the first place, don,t know whats up with this place but thats my story,

Several years ago I purchased a GreenSmart unit from CCS & GC when I had my old fireplace replaced. Overall the installation went well, but was delayed by a day when an incorrect size was delivered. I believe the salesperson was responsible for the incorrect order. Later I let him know I was not particularly happy dealing with him overall. However, the new fireplace has given me a great deal of pleasure. The personnel who have come to service it each summer have been wonderful, courteous, and very careful to keep my living room neat and clean. Overall I am very pleased with this company and would recommend CCS & GC to friends.
