I had an amazing experience the other day at Royal Auto! The salesman was extremely knowledgeable and was able to answer every question I had. The finance manager was very helpful in finding me the lowest possible finance rate available to get me a low monthly payment that worked for me. I don’t often leave reviews, but I had to based off my stellar experience with Scott, at Royal Chrysler in Oneonta. I almost didn’t go, because to be honest about 10 years ago I had a not so pleasant experience at this dealership with a very pushy/rude salesman. I’m truly grateful I gave them another chance! When I arrived, I had a list of questions and concerns and was almost certain I would not find what I wanted that fit my budget (and previously hated the whole car buying experience) but Scott sat with me and took time to address all my questions and concerns. He was extremely knowledgeable and was the most genuine, calm and kind salesman I have ever worked with. I left that day feeling like I had made a new friend in a way, who actually cared about my needs instead of just what money he would make off the deal. I’m thrilled with my new car and even more happy with my experience with Scott at Royal. I will definitely be recommending him and this dealership to friends! Thank you again 😊

I live outside Chicago and my van broke down in Cooperstown NY on a Saturday. After getting the van towed to Royal Dodge, when the dealer opened on Monday, Jeremy in the service department called. I explained what happened and I asked him if at all possible to get me back on the road that afternoon. After replacing the AC Compressor, which had locked up my engine, i was back on the road by 1 pm to get home. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and did a great job to get me going. Thanks Royal. I hope I never have to be stranded in that part of the country but I will not hesitate to bring my van back to them if I am in the area and need service.

They wasted my time and didn’t even care. I was looking to test drive a Hyundai Kona, preferably an AWD, Brooke told me on the phone that they didn’t have any AWD’s but that I could test drive a front wheel drive. So I made an appointment to test drive a front wheel drive Kona last Saturday. When I arrived for my appointment, I learn that they don’t even have one on the lot. All they have is electric ones. The “salesman” (Scott) that met us didn’t seem to know anything. I thought that since I had driven all the way there, I might as well test drive the electric Kona. So Scott took my drivers license and said he would go get a dealer plate so I could test drive one. While he was inside I walked over to the electric Kona’s and saw the price on them, which is outside of my price range. So I decided it wasn’t worth test driving. I go inside to find Scott and get my license back and he was just standing there with my license in his hand…… just standing there!!!…. Could these guys have wasted any more of my time? I have NEVER had such a bad experience with a Dealership. I do not recommend Royal to anyone who values their time. They were very unprofessional and unhelpful.

I had an appointment for routine scheduled maintenance which should have taken a couple of hours max, instead it took them 7 hours. Even then the car was not ready when I got there and had to wait another half hour. It turned out they changed the oil but did not rotate the tires, as was required by the manufacturer. Customer service is poor and the facility is shoddy. I’m stuck with them. I hope they improve.

Brought my car in for recalls, the very next day driving it I notice the check engine light is now on and the a/c wouldnt work. Was told to bring it in and theyd take a look at it because it was very possible they hit something.Then was quoted nearly 3k and also $170 to check my a/c. Real bait and switch. They kept trying to tell me it was all coincidence. Then they had the nerve to try and charge me a diagnostics fee for a problem they created. They just kept saying its a very strange coincidence. Strange indeed.

Went to purchase new Jeep spoke with Victoria Elwell. Did everything via email. Had price quote from another dealer gave it to them because they had the color we wanted. Drove 2 hours to get there trade was inspected found nothing wrong with it was as expected. They lowered the trade price $2000 then raised the advertised selling price $1090 from their web site price. Spoke with Steve Harris would not honor the deal kept calling me a wacko. Said the price was wrong on the web site. They will tell you anything you want to hear to get you to go to the dealership then change the deal. Run from this dealer, they will bate you in then switch the price !!! As you can see the dealership likes to throw degrading names at their future customers to intimidate them. You will see the reply from the owner Steve Harris. He thinks by giving you his little pet names he will get you to agree with him. NOT !!! Keep insulting people with your pet names and see how many customers you will have. I included the deal they wrote only to change it once we drove two hours to get there. Car was inspected found to be perfect. They quickly change the price on there web site once we were interested in the car. Bait and switch.

Last fall, I leased a vehicle for the first time in my life.This added to the stress I usually go through getting a new car for my wife. Plus, I was trading in her beloved 2017 Pacifica for a 4WD RAM. (The AWD Pacifica wasn’t available at the time).Friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and patient, TONY made the entire experience not only painless, but enjoyable.He explained everything I needed to know about leasing.He made sure Denise was comfortable driving the truck.He handled ... and explained ... all the lease paperwork.He will handle my future leases.AND THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT IS EQUALLY ACCOMMODATING and FLAWLESS!At initial pick up, the truck was immaculately prepped for delivery.When I enquired if the service department would install a couple of aftermarket items I had thought I could install myself ... WRONG! ... I was told “Yes.”I was given a most convenient appointment and an accurate estimate of the cost and the time it would be ready.As I had about 3,000 miles on the truck when I brought it in for the installations, I asked if I could get an oil change while they had it. Purchased a used Wrangler, my first used car buying experience, and the entire experience with the staff at Royal was awesome. I did almost all of the shopping and paperwork remotely, working with Eric initially who sent me dozens of pictures and videos so that I had a good feel for the vehicle before driving in from several hours away to test drive.Tony and Jeremy were extremely accommodating and neither used any gimmicky high pressure sales techniques. My lease was coming to an end in April and I was over my mileage. I contacted the dealership where I leased my car 3 years ago and let them know my situation was with work and COVID. I told I don’t know what you can do but if we can figure something out to possibly keep my car let me know. They came back to me with a $368/mo financing for 6 years on my 2018 compass. After calculating what those payments would come out to I asked the dealer if that was the best rate he could get me and he said yes. So I decided to go to Royal Chrysler of Oneonta as soon as I was greeted by salesperson Gavin Harris and talked with him a while we looked at a lot of different cars and offers Jeep was offering. He showed me everything about all the cars I was thinking about from deals, percentage rates, the whole nine yards. I decided to go with a 2021 Jeep altitude and it was the best decision I made. Everyone there was very helpful and worked hard to make the deal happen, I was treated as if I had previously done business with them already and that’s how a customer should feel. If you’re looking to get in a Jeep and are from the Oneonta area I highly recommend Royal Chrysler of Oneonta.

They gave me a fabulous deal on my trade in. They put me in a brand new car....which Ive never had before...for only $20 more a month. Best experience Ive ever had buying a car. Cant thank them enough!....And 2 years later, not quite, my brand new jeep has been in the shop more then any used car Ive ever owned. I have driven their loaners more then I can count. Granted its all been under warranty at this point but the same problems continue. The warranty is not going to last forever yet I feel like this problem will. Ive called them numberous times this week. Theyre either too busy to take my call or Im promised a phone call back I never get. I had to physically show up there and ask to speak to a manager. My car is still in their shop for an unknown problem with an unknown date of diagnosis. Ive called my problem in to Jeep themselves and still, very little is getting done.

Every question and insecurity I had throughout the process of purchasing my 2017 Ram, was made non-existent with the help of Jeremie, Alberto, and Steve! I purchased a new 2016 ram 3500 at this dealership. I have to admit the truck has not been perfect, it has had some problems. All trucks do. What matters is what service you get when problems happen. The service from royal Chrysler has been phenomenal. Any time I need either routine service or unexpected repair the owner of the dealership has arranged for someone to bring a vehicle to my house and take my truck. When the service is done they deliver my truck to my house and pick up the lowner vehicle. I am an owner of a small business and this kind of service saves me valuable time and thus money. The owner of the dealership is available and will work to resolve any problems I have. I would buy another vehicle here just for the phenomenal service.

They not only did it extremely fast (super appreciative since I have a 2 year old), but they were able to do both. Had a defective fan (recall item). Called and they were able to get me in the next day. When I get there, the fan actually needed to be replaced. They gave me a loaner car, told me in might be a couple days, and at 0830 the next morning they told me my car was ready. I own a 2016 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk that I purchased new from Royal on September 3rd., 2015. Today marks the 5th time in four years that the same problem has occurred with my vehicle where I cannot drive it. I’ve had it towed to Royal twice on my dime and the next two times they provided the tow. Today I went there to explain that the same problem I’ve been having happened again. ( The last time it was “fixed under warranty”, I got it back and it was back in their shop for the same exact problem two days later ) I was told by Barry it’s not their responsibility to fix the same problem since my warranty expired on September 3rd. They never “fixed” it to begin with. I was told to bring it in and they would again “diagnose” the problem yet again. He was rude and basically told me I was SOL. It should have been fixed correctly the first time, not the second, third, fourth and now fifth time that will now be out of my pocket because the warranty is three weeks out.This vehicle only has a little over 18,000 miles and it’s been nothing but a problem for four years now. To Barry, it WAS the service departments responsibility to fix this vehicle correctly. To have the same problem over and over and over is unacceptable as was your attitude towards me. You guys definitely lost a customer and I have filed a complaint with Chrysler. The person at Chrysler I spoke to saw the number of times this Jeep has been there for the same problem and agreed with me. Also, my brakes were replaced twice by your service department before I even had 15,000 miles on it....something is not right. Yes, you replaced the original brakes at your expense, but only a few thousand miles later I had to have them redone to the tune of $600 plus? Somethings wrong here....never again!!

I’ve purchased two Jeep Wranglers now from Royal over the past three years, they don’t try to sell you just what’s on the lot. In 2017, they found me the exact new Sahara Unlimited that I wanted, in 2020 even during Covid-19 they were able to find and deliver the exact new Rubicon I was looking for! Within two weeks of contacting them, they located the Jeep, picked it up from another location, were able to install a lift kit, running boards, custom rims and tires! I won’t buy a Jeep from anyone else! I’m not local to Oneonta, traveling to buy from Royal is well worth it! The price and service is unbeatable! My husband was a a quest to find the perfect Charger for me after someone hit me and totaled my previous Charger. We put many hours in looking and test driving cars for months. Last week my husband spotted this car online and Tony and him spent a week texting and calling and going over the details. We got a chance to go up on Saturday and Tony was just bringing out the car. We test drove it, went over the numbers and came to an agreement. It was really an experience. Tony or the Staff didnt pressure you about anything. Really nice group of people. They detailed the car and we drove off. BOOM 💥 I wish we found Tony months ago. Thank you to Tony and his Staff for making this happen in 5 hours. Dropped off vehicle the day before for tire service and new TPMS sensors. I wasnt contacted until 2:30 on the day of service and informed that they did not have the parts due to a delay. I greatly appreciated that they were willing to install TPMS that I had previously purchased. However, the vehicle was riding poorly and I thought that the sensors were reading improperly with the tires at closed to 40 PSI. I confirmed when I got home that the tires were significantly over-inflated.
