I have been taking my car needs to Dennis at college automotive for years. He and his staff do and excellent job on my car needs. The prices is pretty reasonable and fair. Dennis is always friendly and honest with you. Great staff.

Dennis and his team of guys are great. I had quite the job to be done on my car. And although it took a couple extra days, it was well worth it. Not to mention they are very reasonably priced for the work they do!!! I will definitely be back for future services.

If you want an honest mechanic, this place is the place to go!! I went to get my check engine light diagnosed. They gave me a call back within an hour and told what it was. Explained it. Told me to take it to the dealership since it was under warranty. (They even knew that!) And explained exactly what to tell the dealership. So I wouldn’t get screwed over. So honest! I don’t think I’ve ever had such an honest mechanic before! I’ll definitely come back here again for any other issues I have with my car.

Had our started replaced 3/17/2021 with college automotive specialists. 10 days later we had a oil leak fixed related to the starter issue, 3 weeks after the car starter would not shut off and started smoking putting me and my babies life in danger. I called the fire department and they disconnected the battery to stop the starter from over heating. The fire department said that the starter was faulty. My Husband called College Automotive to tell them what happened and they where rude to him and did not offer a free fix. We already paid a tow truck company to take our car there once and now we where going to have to do it again. We had a personal friends who also repairs cars look at our car a couple months later after not knowing what to do. He also said it is the starter and we personally replaced the ignition switch after college automotive said it could be that and the starter is still doing the same thing. Fast forward to today we had to get another tow truck to tow it to college automotive so they can replace the starter again June 8th 2021!!!We will be getting a lawyer if they do not fix our car properly again. I specifically told them that this car has to be safe because I am pregnant. We have records of always taking care of this car and getting the oil changes. Colleges automotive should refund us for everything including the 2 tow truck charges. This is ridiculous how they would put a pregnant womens life in danger by their faulty work.

If every automotive shop ran their business like this place, people would actually enjoy and look forward to repairing or maintaining their vehicles. I highly recommend this shop. Customer service was amazing and while my car has an issue that only the dealer can fix, this gentleman still gave me all the information on how to go about getting my car fixed at the dealer for the least cost possible. No charge for my diagnostic and just an all around nice man.

Used this business and give the a rating of great work. However, recently had them replace rack and pinion. When I picked up car Dennis told me that I needed to have the alignment checked because he did not have an alignment machine. Important part of repair. When he quoted me price I ask about alignment and he said it was included. He eyeballed the alignment and told me to have it checked. Code for I need an alignment. So outside of the price he quoted it still cost about a $100 more than he quoted. Withholding information speaks also to integrity. If you use this business make sure you don’t have to take it to another shop to complete the work.

This place is unheard of in this day and age. Very reasonable prices. Keep you in fully formed of whats going on. I trust the place. I would send my wife alone and know they wouldnt cheat her. Hard to find honest repair shop!

These people are courteous and efficient. They are honest, thorough and reasonable in their prices. Dropped car off in the morning. Fixed and ready by mid afternoon. I highly recommend.

Dennis and his gang at college automotive took great care of me. Very courteous and knowledgeable. Mechanic did diagnostic, got truck to mess up etc. While troubleshooting vtc solenoid he saw throttle body plate had some grunge around the plate seat. So he cleaned it since he already had air tunnel off. Did test drive and couldnt get truck to mess up once where he could do it before every time. I asked how much my bill was and he told me its free. I was like I have to give you something. He said no again. I was shocked because you dont ever see that anymore. Anyways I thanked them very much and told them they just got a customer for life. Super impressed.

Amazed with this place. They took my my first generation Toyota Sequoia that a dealership messed up and replaced it with an engine that extended its life for years and years to come! It runs like new. Every mechanic I spoke to wont take my car but Danny was not afraid to take it on. Excellent service and craftsmanship.

Professional, Honest & Affordable!

I have always been recommend to Dennis. I have finally taken the chance and brought my suv to him after spending a good amount of money at Mavis discount tire in orange park on Blanding for the problems I originally went in for not to be fixed. Long story short after spending that amount of money with them and taking it back to them about 3 times after words just to have them say they can’t hear anything and they don’t know what was going on ALSO that the grinding noise I was hearing within my breaks was normal is what mavis told me. My spirt wasn’t sitting right I knew what was wrong with my car. Finally the last time I spoken with one of the employees and I’m assuming he seen the fear in my eyes with having 2 small children he told me he wasn’t sure what the noise could be and he didn’t want to do work on my car and that not be the problem. He recommended me to Dennis and let’s just say Dennis has lifted a burden off of my chest and Ahayah answered my prayers. I knew in my spirit Dennis was telling the truth. And he had me in and out with in a few hours. Honesty goes a long way. I see why he is always so busy!

So I Had a starter replaced and after 3 weeks the starter got stuck and caused the car to begin smoking while I was at work and my pregnant wife had it and it about caught fire I had to call the fire department And college automotive would not refund my money and refused to have it towed there asking me to pay for it yet they are to blame for the problem

Took my car there for a diagnostic of check engine light. Did an induction cleaning and it runs so much better. Very fairly priced and didnt try to add on anything extra!

College automotive was very helpful. I had a series issue with my car and they worked on it and were able to get me back on the road. I recommend them for help with your vehicle.

Stay away from this place! I trust YouTube 100% more than these people. They try to make you sell your car so they can keep it and flip it, leaving you with out a car. If they touch your car make sure you tell them to call you before they add parts cause that free diagnostic will turn into $ you had no clue of. If you take your car here watch them dont leave your car alone, this is why mechanics get a bad name and the good mechanics suffer from this.Up date: So I turned down Dennise quote to fixing my car. So he gets upset and disconnect my AC in my car, what a punk.

They are honest and responsibly conduct their business. I have been conducting business with them over ten years and and will never take any of my or my familys autos anywhere other than here. Dennis is very nice, and honest. I work at a business who uses him for all of our company vehicles and I use him for my personal vehicle as well. He doesnt make you wait and mess around. Its hard to find an honest mechanic especially with good customer service.

Better to get a second opinion.I went back to this folks after a bad experience last month and I wanted to give them the benifits of my doubt though they proved me right again.Going in for them to check a oil leak and do a prevention check before a road trip...As per Dennis my vehicle was two quarts low on oil and even though they just changed my oil two thousand miles ago they wanted me to get a new oil change. (I run mobile 1 synthetic and change ever 5K. ) *** as per this picture I was only a half a quart low.Plus they say I have a bad oil leak which after going to another shop. They let me know its not as bad as Dennis said.This day, I came first thing in the AM and dropped off car to be seen. I promply received a call from Dennis who went on to check out my car for FREE and recommended to change the belts which were older and that made sense . They gave me price of $195 for an oil change, change out of two belts and also the breather box filter. I asked to call him back and went on to confer the price and work with my spouse and also to see prices for belts at the local parts house to help save some money on the repairs. I then went to get the parts in town that were less and went back to College Auto to ask to bring my own oil and belts to save on the repair costs. In which he agreed to change two belts and add the oil, instead of the oil change for $90.00. Dennis let me have an earful and said it would be the last time they would let me use my own parts for the repair. He went on to compare what I was doing to bringing a steak to a steakhouse and asking them to cook it. I understood and respecting his point and I gladly agreed to take my business elsewhere and left.Dennis got me to spend $400 with him just last month on my mothers car and it was the same thing, streching the truth to get you to spend money.Its not convenient to shop around prices with car repairs and that is how these folks survive, hoping you dont shop around and believe what they say without double checking.Get a second opinion before you spend a lot of money. Youll be surprised what you learn.Ladies, dont go here alone, bring a man who is familiar with car mechanics to help you talk and always trust your gut feeling. Trust yet verify.

Dennis and his crew have been taking care of my families vehicles for almost 12 years now. They have always done good work at reasonable prices. I have never once felt like I was getting ripped-off. In fact, I remember a couple of occasions where Dennis said no charge when an issue turned out to be minor or a mistake on my part. Honest mechanics are hard to find. Dennis came highly recommended when I moved to the area and I have never used another mechanic since.

My personal opinion based on my experience is that this place stays busy because of quality and honest service. Ive come here several times and have never felt I was being told or sold something I didnt need. They seem very willing to let you know what they think is going on and dont feel the need to charge you an arm and leg to do it. Will visit again for sure.

Went up to check an engine light that was on. Dennis called me and told me it was because of a missing gas cap. They could have easily taken advantage of the situation but instead told me what the issue was and sent me to auto zone to get a gas cap. Very honest and great customer service, would recommend to anyone in need or repairs!!!

I gave one star because I could not give 0. They told me I needed a head gasket. I knew that I needed wiring harness attention not head gasket. Months later Im still driving after I got my car fixed at Colemans Automotive in Middleburg. I would not have this place work on my bicycle.

One of the most important things to have is a good, honest mechanic. Weve been taking our vehicles to this shop for a few years now, and they definitely do good, honest work. They offer free diagnostics, dont ever try to sell you work you dont need, and after dealing with the owner, Dennis, many, many times over the last few years, I definitely get the impression that he always does what he can to be fair with what he charges. A lot of mechanic shops arent run the way College Automotive is, and it makes the whole ordeal of having to deal with getting a vehicle fixed even more stressful. College Automotive mitigates that stress, rather than increase it.

My sister brought her 2002 Honda Accord to them because it was over heating.. They told her the head was cracked and it would cost $3000 to fix it, didnt recommend replacing heads after 150k miles.. After he diagnosed it, he told them that he has someone who was interested in buying it if they didnt want to keep it.. Thinking it was suspicious, she took it to another shop and they replaced the fan sensor and radiator cap and it stopped over heating.. They did a chemical test on it also and verified there was nothing wrong with the heads! Stay away from this crooked shop!!

You forgot to add there was no charge for checking the vehicle. The vehicle also sat at the shop for up to 2 weeks with no storage fees,we were patient and understanding with the customer and had a regular customer ask if car was for sale. we were honestly just trying to help a customer in a bad situation. Goes to show you cant please everyone. We also checked another car for same customer after this so called incident, with us being so crooked, at no charge.
