AAMCO in Orange Park helped me out more than any shop ever has. I took my car to several shops before AAMCO IN OP and no one could diagnose the issue my car was having. After taking my car here they were able to determine that it was my transmission and able to repair the issue without completely replacing my transmission. This saved me a whole lot of money. You can tell that they truly care about taking care of their customers here!

The professionals at AAMCO appropriately diagnosed the issues I was having with my 5 speed Civic, provided me with a thorough explanation of the issue (master/ slave cylinder of the clutch), and did not deviate from the price quote, which was very fair. They got the work done in a timely manner and were very friendly through the entire process. I will be back if more work is ever needed!

My daughters vehicle encountered an issue in which all gears (forward, reverse and park) stopped working. We had the vehicle towed to a car dealership for analysis. After several days, we were informed that a new transmission was needed at the cost of $6000. I wanted a second opinion and so contacted the transmission specialists at Aamco Orange Park. I was advised by the service manager, Lee Butler, that his firm would provide us with a second opinion at no charge. I had the vehicle towed to Aamco Orange Park; that was a great decision! Mr. Butler contacted me shortly after the vehicle arrived and indicated the axle shaft, not the transmission, was the issue. Aamco Orange Park was able to quickly fix the issue at a cost of under $1000. I highly recommend using Aamco Orange Park; Mr. Butler is very friendly and easy to work with and provided me with solid, accurate information regarding the vehicles issue.

Aamco is by far the best service center Ive been at in quite a while. Mr. Lee and and Mr. Jason are the guys that really take customer service with concern and care. Had a problem with my Wrangler TJ not going into gear.Brought it into the Orange Park location for a diagnosis. Almost immediately Lee leaned towards a hydraulics master /slave cylinder based on the problem i described.He let the service tech confirm.Called the next day with a estimate to replace the slave /master cylinder.Although i thought the estimate was high and i was capable of preforming the repair myself i declined to let them repair.I requested to just pay for the diagnostic. NO CHARGE for the diagnostic was their policy. I preformed the repair myself with no issues. Lee was honest and straightforward to deal with.

Last week I took my car to Honda due to some issues I had been experiencing. They gave me an estimate of $1900 for a transmission part that was “likely” the issue. I called Lee at AAMCO and he quoted me a much lower price of $1200 for that part. However, he said that he would really prefer I bring it down for a complimentary evaluation. Lee is polite, knowledgeable and honest. He always appears to be a good mood. After leaving my car with them, having two technicians drive the vehicle and having the transmission checked comprehensively, my car was given a clean bill of health regarding the transmission. I was floored, and thankful (in speaking with a transmission specialist over the phone, he indicated that Honda may have been working a bait and switch)! The diagnostic, again, was complimentary. Lee stated, “If you ever have transmission issues again, I know you will come back here.” He couldn’t be more correct. I received excellent service by both Lee and his staff. I highly recommend their establishment and will be returning when my car requires it.

Lee and his associates are amazing. I was having some issues with Suspension-related clunking noises. It was a bit difficult to find the culprit, but they eventually found the source and fixed the problem. They worked on my car for almost a total of 2-3 hours and I was only charged for a half-hour of labor! These guys are down to earth and HONEST!

Prices are a little too high, but unlike most mechanics they do good honest work here.

Hands down the only place where I completely trust their word and their work, My family and I have been consistently going to this particular Amoco for 16 years after 2 major issues at other automotive centers there on Blanding. Mr. Lee is incredible! I know nothing about cars and he explains my repairs and even walks me to my car to show me the problem. Also the shop is very good about getting you in and out in a timely fashion. Back in early August 2017, I went to Lucas Honda and asked them to check my battery because my car was not starting up correctly. They told me that my battery was fine and I needed a new starter and it was going to cost me more than 700.00. They also said that refurbished starters arent made anymore. I guess my being a female meant that I had STUPID tattooed across my forehead. So I called AAMCO in Orange Park, Fl and the gentleman told me to bring the car in. He didnt know what was wrong with the car and I wouldnt tell him what Honda said because I knew it was the battery, and I wanted to see if he was going to lie to me too. I dropped the car off to him and he called me back and told me that I needed a new battery. I paid a very reasonable amount for the battery replacement and labor. My car has been running just fine since then. Simple as that. I appreciated him and this particular AAMCO because he was honest with me and didnt try to treat me as if I am dumb just because I am a female. I actually have a lot of mechanical knowledge about cars. I decided right then and there that I would be taking my vehicle to them for everything that they are able to take care of for me. I am very, very, very, 50 times more, happy with AAMCO Orange Park, FL. I give them a full 5 stars although it is not showing up on the review as a full 5 stars.

Had posted a review of my experience how the price incredibly increased from what I was originally told. Well the manager tried to charge me more when I came in and pretty much told me I needed to change my review offered me a free oil change if I changed it. I only changed it cause they still had my vehicle but never went back and would not recommend to anyone.

I had an issue with my car, not going over 35 mph.. nobody could figure it out.. these guys at AAMACO figured it out with their free customer care checkup.. and fixed the issue with no problem. They could have charged a fortune like other mechanics and pretended to find other issues, but they didnt. Very honest for my 1st visit..

We have gone to this Aamco for many years with all of our cars. They are always very friendly and answer any question with understanding detail. The cost for repair is reasonable and we get our car back, ready to go when promised.

Lee and Bobby are the dynamic duo! What I appreciated about working with this duo is that they do very honest work! Instead of just putting a bandaid over something, Bobby really made sure he checked out what was wrong and found the solution. First time I went in I ended up needing the rear end of my Tahoe re-done. They were so spot on when explaining how everything would drive when I got it back. I was very satisfied with my work that I decided to take it back for another repair needed. Once again I was very satisfied. Their prices are very fair and Lee will always make sure that if you have any questions they’re answered! My husband and I are very pleased with the work we got done and won’t think twice about having to return if needed.

I highly recommend Aamco in Orange Park! They are quick and fair with prices. I brought my car in once and they were able to tell me that all I needed to do was turn the key a few times to get the fuel moving. They didn’t charge me anything! Lee has always been by my go to guy for anything dealing with my work truck. Always up front and honest about what is needed and what is not. Other places Ive been to have try to sell you on items or services that are simply not needed or try to sell you on much more than what is required to get the truck running smoothly. My inspection light came on and my dealership said it was going to be $300 to do the inspection. Aamco did everything that needed to be done for only $50. There was nothing wrong with anything so it was just a labor fee. These are guys are great. Theyre up front about everything and very polite. I will definitely be going back to them if I need anything done to my car.

I have been bringing my Kia Forte to this AAMCO for 4-5 years now and I have always had very good service from the front desk to the technicians that have worked on my car. I have had many kinds of work done on my car and I always feel they have been open and honest with what needs to be fixed and that the prices are fair. We use AAMCO for all of our familys car care needs! They have changed starters, replaced motors, brake jobs, oil changes, window motor replacements and many more services over the last 5 years! After 150k miles and constant abuse, my transmission died in my 2005 Mustang GT. I brought it to the guys here and she came out shifting better than ever. Their techs did an excellent job and Id definitely recommend them for anyone having transmission or other drive train issues.Edit:I recently went back here to have the rear-end of the Mustang rebuilt, as I also wanted to get better gears installed too. Once again, they worked with me on getting the job done and have pulled through with an amazing rebuild with great results. The people here know what the heck they are doing and will not try to swindle or cheat you on the work. Its very obvious that they require the best out of the techs they have working on your vehicle, and I am grateful for their expertise and the end results.

Good customer service, very informative, fair pricing, decent military discount. Also their repair work is warrantied for a year, parts and labor. Always shop around, but this should be one of the first places you consider.

Went to AAMCO due to transmission problems in our Ford Focus. Also asked for a oil change. Was told the computer scan was free, but after that was ran I was called and told that how the tech. Needed to run another scan to get the codes to what was wrong. I was told that scan was 95.00 and then the tech could fix the problem. Next day we were called and told the car was all done it was a simple fix the power supply to the transmission was Justin t making good contact and the tech removed cleaned the power supply and now it was ready to go. The tech could not even replace the dip stick and oil filler cap from the oil change. So the car blew out most of the oil. The transmission was NOT fixed. The car is back in the shop at Ford. Stay away from This place!! Sloppy work.

First of all, I really appreciate what they have done for me while saving me a lot of money!My air had gone out and everyone was telling me it was probably the compressor. I was already dreading the bill and had asked them to quote me for one. Fortunately, they checked it and it wasnt the compressor and they were able to fix the problem for 1/2 the price the compressor wouldve been! The fact that they were honest from the beginning means a lot. We now know who to use WHENEVER we have issues with our vehicles.

ALWAYS EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE! People, transmissions cost a lot of money to repair. These Guys will treat you right and give you honest quotes and work with your needs! LEE and PAUL are good guys!I had a transmission failure in a Nissan Pathfinder that ingested coolant due to a lovely design flaw with their radiators. Long story short, I could do a flush and some of the repairs in my garage, but I turned to these guys, LEE in particular, for information and help over the phone along the way. Even though they werent getting paid for the advice, they gave it anyway. I ended up needing my Valve Body broke down and cleaned and they gave me an afternoon turnaround and it was an hours labor cost.I have called them years ago too and they gave me honest advice and helped me fix cars at $0 to them. I would recommend them over and over again.

I can not say enough about the quick and accurate service from this shop.. I had my van worked by Mr. Lees crew and when the same thing happened they honored the warranty with out a fuss or grumble....they even looked after the van to the point of allowing me to leave it there for a week because my only day off is Wednesdays......Mr. Lee did not want to have the van leave until it was completely satisfied what was going on with it.....I have worked with other repair shops and have not ever had such good service and reliability....

Lee and the staff here are very honest and explain in great detail what may or may not be needed to fix your vehicle. I took my car in expecting to need new brakes and rotors. They told me nope just needed the calipers lubricated. I have never once felt that the repairs done on my car were not needed and have been very satisfied with each visit. They will even give you the parts they replaced unlike other car repair places.

My experience with AAMCO has been nothing but positive due to Mr. Lee Butler and his professional team. They are always going the extra mile to make sure the customer is happy. One of the things that impressed me is that I was always given honest feedback regarding possible repairs for my vehicles and they did not try to push costly repairs if it was not required. In other words if it was a simple economical repair solution that is what they recommended where as many other shops I have used over the years seemed to push for replacement of entire components basically up-selling their service to get the very most profit out of me rather than help me get my vehicles simply and safely back on the road. Lee is honest and shoots straight for example if you need a new engine ( I did once) he will tell you and take the time to explain why and what your most economical options are but if you need a simple part or repair then that is what he brings to your attention, no pressure or gouging. BOTTOM LINE: I never felt misled, swindled or taken advantage of in the least with this business, I wish I could say that about all businesses I have used in the past.

I dont know much about cars, so when I go somewhere to get work done I usually feel like they are trying to pull one over on me or upsell me on un-needed products/services. And at most places, thats probably the case. But not here!This is the only place I have visited that I trust and feel comfortable knowing that I am getting the exact service that I need. The staff here will only quote you what you came in asking for. No surprise repairs needed. If you ask them to check something else out, of course they will give you their recommendation, but otherwise you get exactly what you ask for. Everything they have quoted me is fair, and it is always the exact price in the end. And of course, the work itself is always done right.I have visited this location for multiple services now and the experience is always consistent. I highly recommend giving them a try.

I have a 2007 GMC Envoy Denali that is starting to have issues. The first time it had a starting issue I was fortunate enough to be close to this AAMCO transmission location. The manager, Lee is as cordial and forthcoming as any I have encountered. He was clear and concise. The service was professional and the cost was quite reasonable. I have been back several times after that and I am quite confident to always receive good service at a good price. An example of this facilitys integrity is when I came in with a very strange noise in the transmission. They checked it out and it was only that the torque converter bolts were loose. They tightened them and added Loctite and did not charge me. I hesitate to think what another facility would have done. I wholeheartedly recommend this facility.

I took my car in because the tire was grinding. When I got it back it was still doing it and was charged $400. I had to take it back two more times. The last time I took it the guy said yeah last time you came he said it might be your abs. But they had told me it was nothing, they didnt know what I was talking about.

I took my GMC in for a water pump to be replace since I had a warranty on it. So since i was having some transmission issues i asked them to please check the slipping of it. Well my water pump was fixed with my vehicle warranty and he told me that my transmission was fine that it want throwing any codes and it just needed to be serviced. So i brushed it off and took it to 2 different mechanics without telling them what AAMCO told me. These mechanics both test drove my vehicle and even though my transmission wasnt throwing any codes and they BOTH felt what i had been feeling. My transmission was slipping and they both told me that it is an old AAMCO trick to tell people they need to service their transmissions so they will end up needing it rebuilt etc. So of course my warranty has expired on my vehicle (that would have covered my transmission) and now I am stuck spending thousands of dollars on a transmission because they were trying to scam me. Beyond upset!

I had a great professional experience with Aamco. They got my car back up and running in 2 days and the staff, mainly being Lee their customer service manager, were amazing at explaining things and making sure that I was understanding what was going on and was very understanding when I had to talk to other people to decide what needed to be done with the car. Im very happy with my choice to go to Aamco.

I took my car to get a FREE AC check and was told my car had a small leak and needed to be recharged. So glad I got a second opinion. Come to find out a had a major leak that required two valves to be replaced. I was able to verify this at the 2nd mechanic’s shop with my own eyes. He throughly explained how the machine checked for leaks and advised recharging wouldn’t fix the problem. This mechanics diagnostics aren’t free unless you get the repair done there but it’s worth it. My AC is now fixed and the repair cost was just a little more than what I was quoted at AAMCO!

I have been dealing with Lee for a couple years now, and he has never steered me wrong. He has worked on all my cars, in a couple weeks he’ll work on my 4th vehicle, and has never done anything with calling me and explaining what’s going on. He always beats everyone’s prices and even if I have a question he doesn’t hesitate to answer it for me. I have dealt with other mechanics before, and not the first one of them ever calls me within a week to check on the vehicle and bring it back in to make sure the work they have done is holding up to our expectations. Its honestly almost impossible to tell you how much these guys rock, but Im going to try anyways.I recently purchased a 1978 F-150 special edition and youll just have to believe me when I tell you that this thing was in rough shape under the hood.I had leaks everywhere and trouble starting it. This sucker stalled when I turned right and it took at least 15 minutes every morning just to get it moving. So I came to AMMCO on blanding to get some of these problems narrowed down.First off, the enthusiasm these guys had for their job is completely unmatched which is so very hard to find these days.As it turned out, my carburetor was a wreck, all my gaskets were shot, my cam shaft was worn to death, my spark plugs were done for and my transmission was broken (almost terrifyingly so) internally.Im not exaggerating when I tell you that these men worked their tails off to get me back on the road. They worked with my schedule and my budget and helped me to prioritize some of these issues.I picked the him up from them today and not only did they do what needed to be done in a timely manner, but they helped resolve so many of the little gremlins that had evaded me and the previous owner for years.My dream truck now runs like a dream and I couldnt be more pleased.Im active duty Navy and it meant so much to me to be treated with such respect. They even called me in to see anything that theyd found along the way and stayed after hours when my crazy schedule didnt allow me to be there during business hours.Do yourself a favor and trust these guys to take care of you and your vehicle. The atmosphere and quality work is like nothing Ive ever encountered before in Jacksonville. They really are a team working for you.

Ive dealt with Lee at this Aamco for years now, with multiple vehicles. Hes a straight shooter. The mechanics know their stuff, and I always recommend this shop to friends in need of vehicle service. If you need a car fixed or a second opinion, check them out.

Aamco has treated me so well! They fixed my A/C for a fraction of what everyone else was charging. My transmission got the God of death and need a full rebuild, they found two other problems in the process of the rebuild and took AMAZING care of me and all my needs. The gave me a three day estimate and gave me my car back in two! I would Recommened them to anyone that needs a transmission check/fix and any other problems! They have won me over as a life time customer, Thank you Lee and everyone else there!

Lee and the crew at aamco are the best transmission guys around defantly that small shop feel but with big shop success they comunicated and worked so well would defantly bring anything to them these guys are great wouldnt go to anywhere or anyone else

This has always been a horrible company! I was referred to them by my trusted mechanic to get a second opinion because they are the specialist on tranmissions. I brought my truck there because I felt it needed a new transmission because of the lagging from 2nd to 3rd. They kept my truck for a few hours and checked it. They called me to tell me that there was nothing wrong with my transmission. I even took their head mechanic on a test drive to show him the lagging. He proceeded to tell me that it was a common thing to have that lag on those types of truck. Well... My truck was just recently purchased, and I had a 30 day warranty on it. After a couple of weeks I was still bothered by the lagging so I took it to the shop I bought it from on the 30th day. Come to find out their mechanic said I needed a new transmission. Aamco was so wrong to tell me nothing was wrong when there was a problem. Now I am 2000 dollars down the hole and all they could say was our apologies. NEVER go here! I wouldnt suggest it. Just saying.

Another local garage diagnosed a vibration in my car as a bad transmission and had quoted me $5500.00 for a rebuilt transmission and that seemed very excessive, so I took the Nissan Pathfinder out of the other garage and took it to AAmco Orange Park and they diagnosed the rear u-joints and after replacement of the u-joints the car works perfectly, FINAL COST = $283.00, Thank you so much LEE!!!!!!!

Took my 1994 F150 to have the transmission worked on. First, they fit me in quickly. I didnt have to leave my truck then wait around all week for the phone to ring. I dropped it off in the afternoon and the next morning they were calling me with a diagnosis. Like the average consumer I do not know a lot about transmissions, and a lot of shops would pick up on that and talk down to you or use terms they know you dont understand. Lee and Charlie at Aamco took the time to explain the issues and the process necessary to fix the issues. Not really knowing what the cost was for this, I had a couple quotes and Lee was right in line or below the others. They told me on Tuesday my truck would be done by the end of the week and 8am on Friday morning Lee was on the phone letting me know it was done. From dealing with Lee when I dropped off my truck, Charlie on the phone explaing their findings and cost of repairs, to even talking to the tech that actually did the work on my truck, I couldnt have asked for a better experience or a more professional group of guys. I know Aamco is a big chain, but you would never know it dealing with these guys. They provide great and knowledgeable service as if it was their names on the outside of the building. I will definitely be returning to Aamco Orange Park!

I chose to go to AAMCO on Blanding.It is a full service shop with 8 bays. These guys can do it all….Brakes, Engines, Electrical, AC, and Transmissions.The first person I spoke to was LEE. He is the shop’s front man. He is very knowledgeable and has top shelf customer service skills. He truly cares about your car, your questions and your satisfaction.RAY was the mechanic who worked on my car. He too was very personable and knew what he was doing under the hood.The shop’s transmission expert is not at the Blanding shop. My transmission was sent to the 103rd Store where I met ANTHONY and MARKO. Anthony is the manager who is very caring and communicates well. MARKO was the tech who tore apart and diagnosed the transmission. Both ANTHONY and MARKO took time to explain and show me what was happening with my transmission and what the options and cost for repair would be.The tear down, diagnosis, repair and installation took 4 days. I spent all 4 days at the shop with LEE and the mechanics. This allowed me to truly evaluate how the shop took care of their customers.The Blanding shop has a comfortable waiting area with cable TV and many restaurants within walking distance.As I was waiting for progress on my vehicle, I noticed it had so many return customers. LEE spoke with everyone as if they were all friends. There is something to be said about a shop when they have so many return customers. It shows they have earned the trust and respect of the local consumers. I felt so much better about choosing their shop.The pricing was fair and they do give a Military Discount. A word about pricing…….YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. My father and I took in his 1963 Chevy C10 for transmission problems! It wouldnt go into 3rd or 4th gear. So we found AAMCO on GPS and had our fingers crossed hoping they dont scam us like every other repair shop does to their customers! They called us back the following day and came to realize it was something sooo small and simple. I couldnt believe their Honesty! Its hard to find that these days! Not only that but their honest price for the repair. Thank you guys!

Had my 30,000 mile warranty service completed, in addition to some other work on my 2003 Acura TL. Had sort of a time crunch & Lee promised to have me done & out in under 2 hours. Mission accomplished!!
