This is a fun little book store. The staff is super nice and helpful and makes good recommendations. They also have fun little gifts. Located at Stanley Station, off 151st and 69, it’s very pleasant.

What a wonderful store! Theyre so friendly and welcoming and theres a great selection of books and bookish gifts. I have really missed browsing an independent bookshop so Im thrilled to have found Green Door.

I already love this place. Great staff, great collection of books, funny as hell merchandise, comfy atmosphere. Even if they dont have a book in stock, they can order it for you. Will be back for sure.

Absolutely lovely, neighborhood, independent book store! Also has a great selection of gifts and candles, allowing for a very efficient gift shopping trip (even if its a gift to self.) We all need to support businesses like these in our communities

Lovely store. I came here during the height of covid and while I didnt buy anything but some wipes, this store is so interesting. They have books, small gifts and its so welcoming. Ill be back soon.

The in store inventory is excellent and if the owner, Christin, doesnt have it in stock she will happily order it for you. I was looking for a copy of The Midnight Library by Matt Haig and while the local big box book store was sold out The Green Door had it in stock. The Green Door is now my first choice for new books. I have to add they have a lot of cool gift items for book lovers too. This bookstore is a true gem. Check them out. You will be glad you did.

I ordered a book from this store because I wanted to shop local. In the meantime, we were all home bound due to exposure to COVID. Once I let the store know that I couldn’t pick the book up for a week or so, Christin generously offered to drop it off on my porch. What incredible service! You have a loyal customer now.

I love supporting local businesses and this one is a gem. There arent many independently owned bookstores anymore so I was thrilled when one popped up just around the corner from my house.The store is huge! It has new and used books, bookmarks, cards, and book totes. There are an array general store items like mugs, tea, candles, kitschy decorations and fun novelty items. The front has a kids corner, there are big comfy chairs in the back to sit and read awhile, the owner is always happy to help you find just the right book, recommend new reads, or offer to order a hard to find title.Definitely worth stopping in to say hello and browse, grab a gift, or do some reading.

What a charming bookstore I found in southern Overland Park. Stopped in after seeing the signs on the road and I am certainly glad that I did. The Green Door has a wonderful set up with many new/old books and a gift shoppe. I enjoyed the comfortable seating while I read my book. They also sell refreshments which makes it convenient. Chris, the owner was so nice and welcoming and really made me feel at home. I definitely will be stopping in regularly to enjoy the Green Door.

We used to live a mile from The Green Doors location. Had it been open then, my daughter and I would so have walked there every Saturday. I hope families who live that close now take advantage of this fantastic store right there within walking distance. Great book selection and fun gifts. They have events, too.
