I was a bit concerned reading some of the most recent reviews, however, when I arrived, I was greeted by Jasmine who assisted me through the process with great professionalism. She had a cancellation for a test drive and I was able to use that appointment as well as get all of my questions answered. For me, this wasn’t like the typical show room experience where I felt like if I didn’t “sign the paperwork” today the deal was gone. I actually felt like I was given great information and time to think about what is the best option for me. Moreover, she understood that this is a new thing for me as it is for many customers. I walked away grateful for my experience and glad that I took it upon myself to visit and not rely solely on the latest reviews.

I like the car and it’s fun to drive, but have had disappointing experiences with the service department. About 1.5 years into routine use, the window button snapped off in my hand. It took 3 weeks to get an appointment for service. This location said that it wasn’t covered by warranty because the electronics were still technically working. After pushing the issue they did agree to cover it, but emphasized they still felt I was at fault. (Multiple Tesla Internet forums have other users reporting that same problem.) The staff at the location was lackadaisical. For a car of this price you just hope for a better experience. I agree with the other reviewer who feels they have a shiny front sales experience and then totally bomb the owner/maintenance game. Glad that more electric vehicles are being produced, so I’ll have more choices next time around.

I havent really been to any other Tesla dealerships to compare them to, but for the most part I havent had a bad experience here. The latest was me showing up after 2 days of having the car and noticing that something wasnt right with the only service they did. The saving grace was they looked, agreed, and gave me a loaner since by then my ride had left. They eventually fixed it but they definitely need to improve on the quality control

Big Tesla fan here. Love my car. Love the company. This service center needs a revamp. Compared to where it was two years ago, it has fallen rapidly on the service side. Poor communication, inability to prioritize appointments, failure to manage expectations - I simply wanted a tire rotation and alignment. I scheduled it through the app - excellent. No contact drop off - excellent. I mentioned that I plan to wait on my car, because I live too far away for the $100 ride share coupon. They told that I need to leave. I told them that I don’t have a return ride and ride share isn’t readily available in my area, which is an hour away. They said that there is a back up on alignments. Ok.8 hours. I was there for 8 hours. I get it, I should have figured something out. But really? Couldn’t have pushed my car to the front of the alignment queue? Couldn’t have offered a loaner? A WHOLE DAY FOR A TIRE ROTATION AND ALIGNMENT.Their ride share coupon is a band aid on a much bigger issue, which is their poor operations management and lack of service capability. I’m glad I didn’t have a real problem with my car. Needless to say, I will no longer use this service center.

This store is the worst in customer service. They don’t return calls, and their service center always tries to cut corners. I had an appointment and requested for them to do a Maintanice update, when i asked about it, they informed me i could get it but it wouldn’t be able to be done today, after i explained i requested it, it was able to be done. And i don’t know if it was completed because my invoice doesn’t reflect it. I inquired about getting my car cleaned and they Said they don’t do it for service but I had it don’t previously. Every time i go to this location there’s a problem. I don’t think i would get treated like this at BMW or Mercedes. I thought purchasing a Tesla was a luxury but this store proves time and time again that customer service is something they lack. Great car but this location is the WORST.

“I don’t get paid commission to deal with your frustration.” Is what I was told when I took my Model X in for service. My key was lost and this one very unmotivated Tesla employee couldn’t find it - he had to “go to the bathroom and meet me outside” or “the other employees won’t be able to find it, why do they bother trying” or “your key wasn’t labeled so I had to check every key” (mind you there was exactly one Model X in for service). Go to silver spring Tesla. Do not go here!

Rough service experience with Tesla Owings Mill. Pretty disappointed. Had a couple of issues with my one month old Model 3 that I picked up from Rockville. My drivers seat was squeaking/creaking in two places. One next to the armrest because the seat was not aligned correctly from factory. Seat is basically rubbing into the armrest and so the leather on leather contact makes noise. And there is a more metallic creaking coming from the seat when I go over bumps, brake, or even turn. I can even replicate it when I lean forward or backward in the seat.Tesla says its under warranty so they would fix it for free. First thing I did when I got my back was lean forward in my seat and I instantly hear the creak. Ugh. Looks like they did apply something on the leather though because that doesnt squeak anymore. But its still rubbing so I imagine this will only be a temporary fix.My steering wheel also felt like it had a bit too much vibration at highway speeds so I asked them to look into. Cost me $90 and nothing came out of it. They said they couldnt feel it and that it was probably from me trigging the lane drifting warning. I assured them I know what the difference is but no luck. If my steering wheel vibration is normal then thats just sad because it feels like my previous old cars steering wheel. So all in all, they did almost nothing to address my issues. Oh wait they did leave me a present though. A nice huge screwdriver left in the car! Thanks Tesla Owings Mill! Going to Rockville for sure next time

Tesla generally and this dealer specifically have been nightmares to deal with for a new purchase. Its impossible to reach anyone, no one responds to texts / emails. The Tesla Account site is opaque, impossible to connect with Customer Service. Im scheduled for delivery within 24 hours and they dont even have their act together to accept a down payment. Cant speak to the service team or in-person staff since all of this has been during COVID.[updated after Delivery]Messy Delivery Day with trade-in / loan finalization en route to dealership. We were largely ignored after walking in, as if they were too busy to talk to a buyer. When reviewing the car, I commented on several issues re: panel sag / scuff marks. Initial delivery staff (K) largely blew off my concerns blithely saying I cant do anything about it. Initially refused to let me speak to a manager (apparently in Virginia), then handed me off to someone else. My significant other later heard he and other Tesla Sales staff complaining and making rude comments about me. Obviously irritated I was taking time to inspect the vehicle. Documentation was not complete, my spouses name was not on loan (and title) - despite my clearly indicating at time of purchase it was a joint application. A more senior associate (A) took over and was significantly more professional, though I am still missing equipment and need to take another trip to the DMV.Overall experience is that the front end for hooking a buyer is shiny (initial discussion, test drive) but follow through is horrendous and unprofessional. Throughout the entire wait and purchase, this dealer was not helpful at all. Would avoid purchasing from them at all costs.Re: the Tesla Call Center - out of a dozen associates we spoke to, only Cheryl and Michelle went out of their way to clarify and troubleshoot. Everyone else had excuses or tried to blame us for glitches in their system. Tesla seriously needs to step up their professionalism.

Amazing test drive experience! You must schedule a test drive first on-line before you get there. The spots fill up quickly, especially on the weekends. Please note that this is not a dealership - - but an experience center. The folks that work there are called Customer Experience Specialists; their main focus is to answer any of your questions and educate you on their cars. All are super knowledgeable. If and when you are ready to purchase a Tesla, it is done on-line. You can either do it there and they will help you through it, or do it when you get home. Again, the folks who work there are not sales people--they will not hard sell you anything. Truly though, the cars sell themselves!

The people were nice and reasonably competent, but the whole operation felt lazy. While picking up my car the first question i was asked was Do you know where your car is? Having just arrived, and looking at a sea of Teslas, no, I did not know where my car was. I had paperwork i didnt need to fill in, my keys were still in the plastic bag theyre shipped to the dealer in, and the never took off the paper floor mat until i brought it in. The staff also were poorly dressed, to the point where i didnt know who worked there and who was a customer. I wasnt expecting suits, but i was expecting business casual.None of this was egregious, but when youre buying a car this expensive you want the reassurance that youre buying from a sharp organization. This is my second Tesla, and the pick up experience for the first one was definitely superior to this.

The car is great. Service is awful. I live an hour away. First time I showed up, they tried to shoo me out the door, saying the 3 hour estimated labor would take a few days. I pushed back and they relented, fortunately. Because about 45 minutes later, they told me they had ordered the wrong part and that I would need to reschedule 2 weeks later. Gah.When I arrived for the second appointment, they told me I could leave the car, or take it and try to reschedule sometime next month as they were too busy right now. I accepted the ride share credits. Not really any other option. They estimated completion on the 29th. At 5:45 PM on Friday the 30th I got a notification to pay my invoice to pick up my car with a note that the service station is open Mon-Fri 9-5. What does that mean? Do I have to pick it up when the service station is open or can I get my car so I can actually go somewhere over the weekend? No one will pick up a phone at the service center, dealership, or customer service. I even tried calling a couple west coast service centers to ask, since it was still business hours for them Nada. I did receive a reply to my in-app message -- on Monday morning. Useless.Nice cars overall but service is a nightmare. Im glad other car makers are taking electric vehicles seriously now. Tesla should make sure every customer who services their car at this dealer should get a survey link at the end of service independently. Terrible experience with the service department today. When I arrived there was a line of cars outside the service bay so I waited there thinking that was the line to speak to a rep. After 20 min and no movement, I walked up to the service area and was told that there were specific instructions in my app about what to do. I checked and it said to leave the car outside if I wanted to wait for repairs (I didn’t want to wait). So then went back to the woman i spoke with and she said I should just leave it there anyway. Throughout the day, little to no communication. All communication is thru text and they don’t respond. You can’t talk to anyone. Was texted that repairs wld be covered by warranty and there would be no cost. Car was supposed to be ready by 5:15. At 5:45 I still had no official word that my car was ready (but when I called the service dept the automated message said repairs were complete). I went to the dealership to pick up but still hadn’t gotten text to confirm it was done. Saw two people in the service bay so I waved at them bc door was locked. They walked away. Went to the showroom to see if they could ask about my car and they did try to help. They were finally able to reach someone who said my car was ready. In app it said to pay invoice but none was available. The people in the showroom said it was fine to go ahead and take car. On the way home I receive the invoice for repairs for $850. However I was informed earlier via text that there would be no cost. Will try to call tomorrow but highly doubt there will be a person to speak to. I had asked them to address two issues, they only addressed one. If I could give this service department zero or negative stars I would. Avoid if at all possible!

Unlike literally every other manufacturer, Tesla stores are not franchises or dealerships, but rather owned and controled directly by Tesla. This is important, because it means that the experience should be much more consistent from store to store.I purchased my Tesla at this location. The process was very easy. There is absolutely no pressure to buy a vehicle. You can order online, or in the store. If you decide to buy a vehicle in the store, you will be sat in front of a computer and a sales representative will walk you through the options on Teslas web site. Most of the buying process is automated and forms/documents are accessible online. Pricing is transparent. I took delivery at the store (instead of home delivery) and except for a minor issue with transfer of funds, everything went smoothly. The service experience is similar to BMW/Audi with 2 exceptions. At a typical dealership, there is usually a drive-in lane where service advisors meet and greet customers and also a seperate shop area. This was not my experience. Rather, it seems that the drive in area IS the shop. Not really a problem, but it doesnt feel quite as organized as other places Ive been. Also, at other premium makes, I have always been offered a courtesy car, even for minor service, but not here. I almost always decline a loaner, but today it would have been nice to have one. I was told none were available.Service was quick, the work performed was as expected, and the waiting area is similar to other dealers, with complimentary water and coffee.Nothing in life is perfect, and there will always be something to complain about for those who are determined to be complainers. Overall, I am thrilled to be a Tesla owner, and happy to be driving 100% electric!

In fact, they will just tell you that there are no managers. You cant get a call back and you cant actually even get anyone on the phone. They say they communicate by text, but only when they want to. They cant actually order parts or tell you when to expect parts needed. Absolutely terrible service from the delivery staff. I chose a car that was in inventory more than two weeks ago and they had transportation issues in New York and gave my reserved car away to make quarterly delivery numbers. It was supposed to arrive on 6/29 and again on 6/30. Ive spoken to multiple Tesla staff and sent multiple texts and they dont follow up or return phone calls. Im willing to pay cash but starting to consider other EV options. Never experienced such poor customer service. Super frustrating experience.

Horrible horrible service here. I scheduled an upgrade twice. Called to confirm, texted to confirm, absolutely nothing back only to get there twice to be ran in circles. No idea when parts would be there, no response, nothing. Incredibly rude as well. I didnt want to blame tesla just yet and maybe just on that location. I was correct, Wilmington blows them away with responsiveness. I wouldnt even waist my time with Owings mills/baltimore. Take the extra time to go anywhere else. The manager of that location should be ashamed of that operation!!

My Chevy Volt is coming to the end of its lease so I went car shopping. I plan to go fully electric. I have had a great experience with my Volt, a plug in hybrid. In nearly three years, I have put over thirty thousand miles on the car, but only about six thousand of those miles have been on the gasoline engine. All the other miles have been on electricity, and I charge the battery with the solar panels on my roof. The Tesla store is neat and clean. The employee who spoke to me answered all my questions and took me on a test drive where I drove on the highway, country roads, and local streets. The model 3 is comfortable, nicely designed and peppy.

Didnt like the customer service from this dealership.1. No phone number to talk to, kept leaving messages and SMSs, no luck.2. Rescheduled the appointment on their own without any reasons.3. On the rescheduled day reached the service centers, they kept the car for the full day and then in the evening received an SMS that they scheduled appointment on two weeks from todays date. No idea on what this next appointment is for. LOL.4. The main service appointment was for complementary FSD Computer Upgrade and I am being told that they just reset the eMMCU chip and thats it.5. Half the things I told them are faulty, they did not even have it in the service ticket in spite of the road technician coming home a day before and confirming that there are issues and needs diagnosis. So in nutshell I am very uncomfortable handing my car to this service center. Do you expect this service for so called TESLA service.

Test drove Model 3. I give the ride 4, steering control 5 stars. I loved the feel of the road, so to speak. Interior was okay but not plush. I give an overall 4 because Tesla doesnt support Android Auto, a must for me. If I ended up not buying one it is primarily the lack of Android Auto, thus, 4 stars

Met Tesla Advisor Mr. Leon Bridges who was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. Test drove a Model S and it is the best driving experience one can have. Tesla has outdone the industry by leaps and bounds. Now I have to sell everything to get one! Great job Tesla and Leon.

I will provide another star but at the beginning they werent friendly because I wasnt there to buy a Tesla. When they realized that I wasnt a buyer, they were very short with their answers but at the end they provided me the assistance I needed while reminded me at the same time that I have a used car.

Its definitely the present and the future in automobiles. I loved it. Stephen took it for a test drive. You didnt feel the car or hear it in the start up. Very nice midsize car. I was in the backseat. Didnt have any trouble getting in or out of it. Very roomy. The salesman wasnt pushy either.

What pleasant experience in shops for, buying, and serving a vehicle. The facility is attractive and clean, the staff pleasant and helpful. If you have the means, stop by for a test drive to see what all the fuss is about- you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

Why doesn’t the electric key feature of using phone so rarely work? I am stuck outside the car and anticipate danger when especially I am in and around work. Not cool, Tesla. Especially even after troubleshooting with a couple of your staff.
