The manager was misleading, they falsely advertise prices and it was very dark and uninviting. It felt like a cheap pop up store that sells poorly crafted glasses and got their license off of the internet. I do not recommend. The hostess was very rude on my way out.

Do not go to Stanton Optical! Ive been going there for years to get glasses and contacts and all of a sudden they dont have my prescription on file. The associate helping me today said the last time you were in here was December. I said yes, to order contacts. Then he says well I cant sell you contacts without a prescription on file. I said Ive been getting contacts here for years so I know I have a prescription on file. I then asked if you cant sell me contacts without a prescription on file then why have I been getting them the last few cycles? He said someone here wasnt doing their job That someone was him hes ordered contacts for me numerous times, if Im do for an exam that should have been scheduled it during my last visit. He asked if I would like to schedule one and I simply said no. They have lost a customer. The professionalism of the people there has degraded over the years!

Scheduled an appointment same day and was helped by Matt! I got a contact+lens eye exam ($90 without insurance) and also ordered frames and contacts through Stanton. Overall, perfect visit. Here are some details:Lets talk service,Matt was very helpful, professional, and friendly. He spoke in detail about their processes, was upfront about costs, and I never felt like I was being hounded for sales. I asked questions, and he answered each one honestly. I dont remember the name of the second associate, however he was also very polite and professional. Great people!Now, about prices!As mentioned before I paid about $90 for a contact and eyeglass exam, and I dont have eye insurance. I felt this was fair, however you may find a better price elsewhere if you really look.Prices for contacts were about what I pay online, about $60 per eye for a 6-month supply. The frames range from about $45-$200 depending on the style and brand. They have a LOT of options, and prices were also fair! I bought a Maxim brand that originally cost $109, however they had a deal for half off frames. So it really only cost about $55.All in all, you only pay for what you ask for. Just be upfront about what you need, and if you have Matt Im sure hell assist as he did for me. Id like to reiterate that they never pushed for services or sales, and Matt actually outlined costs as we went to adhere to my budget. Nice job, Matt.I also want to mention that they provide many warranties for frames and contacts, included in base cost. Just a bit of breathing room for anyone who worries about it.This was my experience on Tuesday, 1/19/21. They may have different deals, promos, specials, and associates when you go in so I recommend asking what they have offered at the time of visit!

Pro-I took advantage of the exam and 2 pair of glasses for $59. I really just need glasses for driving. Loved the virtual exam, let me shop at my leisure. Owen was super nice, patient and knowledgeable. I have plastic frames, so pick up was easy. Just Grab and go, I appreciate the simplicity.Con-There are not a-lot of frames to choose from for the $59 special.

I wish there was a negative star. I have never been so disappointed with a service. We have waited for THREE months for my husbands glasses...STILL waiting. Paid ALOT of money for glasses we are still waiting for. Called customer service and was laughed at. Asked for a manager and was told good luck. Good luck getting your money back. Seriously...oh and we are still.waiting for a call about his glasses. And NO they do not call or take calls..so you have to go in and ask if they are in..BUYER BEWARE

The service was great but I disliked that there is no actual doctor that comes in to administer the vision exam. Instead there is a person via satellite or like face timing with you asking you questions etc. My prescription was so far off and there was over a month delay on getting my new glasses in which had to be sent back more than twice for the same reason .. which was the prescription was wrong. My original prescription was more on point than what Id receive and now this prescription that Ive ended up with has cost me some of my vision accuracy, smh. I would definitely not recommend this place to ANYONE!!! Vision centers are suppose to help you maintain healthy vision not make it worse. Im not sure what has happened with this company because they use to be good. Do yourself a favor and dont put yourself nor your eyes through the unnecessary torture of the mess that this vision center is in right now. But they do have nice frames just dont let them do your test and lenses.

So I have been coming here for a few years and have been pleased with the services provided up until now. With school starting and this covid 19 issue the whole world is facing it’s been a struggle to get our kids in for eye exams. They are required for school so I’m a little angry about this whole situation. My middle son has autism, and his disability has an effect on his stillness and his communication skills as well. The man giving him his exam had no patience at all and basically told us he couldn’t continue with the exam. I’m talking like 5 minutes and got frustrated and made us feel completely at fault for something when his people skills are what’s lacking. Now I understand this place is busy, that’s expected when you open at 11 and book six exams for that time slot but your job involves working with people, making them comfortable and customer service is not something for an impatient rude person. Don’t make my child or my wife feel like there is something wrong with our son when you cant manage your job better. You’ve lost my business over this. Maybe you should post on your website and door; Our employees do not have the patience to deal with individuals with special needs or disabilities so please take your business elsewhere. Which is exactly what we will do from now on.

They have a 2 for 59.99 deal two pairs of glasses and a eye exam. But in order to meet that deal you need to buy 20$ or less frames. They dont sell any frames under 30$ so they cant even do the deal they advertise ON THE SIDE OF THEIR BUILDING. To me thats false advertisement

I’ve been waiting since January for my glasses. I ordered 2 pairs and the worker there, Matt, had the audacity to YELL at me and tell me I only ordered one pair when I had my receipt right in front of me. This place is an absolute joke. Don’t go here unless you want to waste your money and go in circles with customer service AND THE STORE MANAGER about where your glasses are. Horrible customer service. This place absolutely sucks and I will tell everyone I know not to go to this establishment. Very disappointed.

I would not give any rating for the Stanton store at 2415 W Glen Ave, Peoria, IL 61614. They gave me incorrect prescription. There is no physical doctor at the store, instead eye exam was conducted online. No wonder, the prescription would go wrong. This store also didnt had spectacles of my choice, so I visited Costco. Staff at Costco have been trying to reach Stanton since past 3 weeks nobody is picking their calls or not even responding to fax. Poorest service ever received.

The only reason Im giving this store 2 stars is for the optometrist and his staff. I would give them 5 stars. They were very courteous and thorough. I feel like I got a great eye exam. That being said, the sales staff is very rude and unprofessional. The sales manager needs to have some lessons in customer service. Working in the medical field I understand that it is difficult working with insurance companies, however that does not give the Stanton sales staff a reason to take their frustration out on the customer. Furthermore you are punished by this company for having insurance with a 95$ eye exam fee. If you choose to pay cash the exam is only 29$. And their promo buy one get one free only applies to cash paying clients not those customers who have insurance. Needless to say after the way the sales manager treated me I payed cash for the exam and took my business elsewhere to purchase frames ands lens. Too many hardworking business need local support. I will not give a company my hard earned money to treat me so rudely. I am a pretty easy going person and rarely write negative reviews however I am so appalled by the sales managers treatment I felt it was well deserved.

I had not purchased new glasses in quite some time. I was pleasantly surprised with Stanton. The doctor who did my eye exam was wonderful and professional. He listened to all my concerns and addressed them properly. The amazing girl who did my eyeglass fitting helped me pick out the most flattering frames. She really took the time to find out what I was looking for. Thank you so much Laura! When my glassses came in they were exactly what I was looking for. I get so many compliments on them. And they were super fast! It only took a week to get them. Overall I would highly recommend getting new glasses here. Ask for Laura, she’s the best!!!

My wife & I came in to see if we could find a frame that fit my lens because I fell down and broke my frame. We dealt with Michael the General Manager yesterday and he was able to find a frame that my lens fit within minutes of being there. Very impressed with the service he even made sure they fit properly before we left.

The staff was friendly and very helpful. They listened to all of our concerns and addressed them. The advertising for the sale doesn’t mention the cost for the lenses themselves but I am overall very happy with my experience. The optometrist answered every question I had thoroughly and made sure I understood every detail before leaving. Definitely a great experience!

Great experience brought my daughter and wife in they loved the glasses came in within a weeks time. I will be bringing my daughter in to get more glasses from the General Manager Michael Henline. He made the whole process smooth and easy from the exam to picking out the glasses and picking up and getting them fitted. He deserves a raise for going above and beyond for his customers.

Honestly, If you want to wait 2 months for glasses then go here. Oh wait, I STILL haven’t gotten my glasses and it’s been over two months lol. My mom went the same day as me and got them after a month waiting and they don’t call you when they are done, YOU have to be then one to follow up on them. And also, mine are still in the lab they said. When I called them, they transferred me to a different state. It’s a joke here, you’re asked questions by a dude on a computer probably from a different country, who even knows if it’s accurate. Don’t waste your time here.

I’m upset. I had to return my glasses once because my vision was blurry. I got them back, but I wear my contacts mostly. Being I need to order contacts because I just threw my pair away, I decided to wear my glasses until I can make it into the store. My vision is weird still, improved from my first pair that was fixed, but it’s still not right. Almost got into a car accident due to the blurriness. Did the one eye test (cover one at a time) and my left lens can’t be my prescription! I can’t see or read nothing. I’m disappointed being that now I’m solely dependent on glasses, and I refuse to order contacts if my prescription isn’t right. I feel trapped now, and will being going into the store to request a new exam or refund

Was very disappointed: I went to pick up my prescription for my contacts and didnt notice I was given an old prescription that was a year out of date. New providers office faxed request into Stanton for 2 days with NO RESPONSE.I called back three days later and got a third party phone service who transferred me to Peoria. After about 15 minutes, they were very sorry, but yes, my prescription was current and they could now fax it over to me....I received it in just a few minutes, but it was for my GLASSES. I called back and asked for my CONTACT PRESCRIPTION. He said Id have to wait because they were getting busy. I waited about 3 hours and called back again. They told me that they couldnt fax me because they didnt have my fax number.FINALLY, THEY faxed my prescription.CLEARLY, they didnt want me to refill my prescription for HALF THE COST that they are charging.Previously, they price matched, but they changed their practice and no longer do that.This is not the way to treat someone that you every want to win back as a patient.On a good note, the new provider was not only half price, but called me on Thursday, only two days later, and had my contacts ready to pick up! The last two sets I got from Stanton were WRONG twice, and took THREE WEEKS to come in.

I agree with many of the other reviews-Don’t go here!!! It took 3 months to get glasses I can wear. The lady that works in the back and assists with exams is UNPROFESSIONAL and RUDE! How is she allowed to interact with the public? When I said that I had been calling the status hotline and checking my phone daily but still hadn’t received any automated phone call she said “Yes you did because the computer says so.” I said no I did not and it’s Stanton Opticals fault. Instead of just apologizing for the unreal delay—She quickly responded “it’s nobody’s fault! Your glasses are here” and hung up. I will say that my interactions with Matt and Owen were pleasant. They both apologized after I picked up my glasses. I know their names because they gave them to me both on the phone and in person. The lady in back did not. I will be contacting Stanton Optical on a corporate level.

I about as blind as a bat and when I broke my glasses while on a trip during Memorial weekend I know I was in trouble! But luckily Stanton Optical in Peoria was opened on Memorial Day and saved me! I needed a new pair of glasses that day and they had closed their one-day lab in February but luckily one of the managers Eric, who knows how to hand grind lens, was there and come in for the rescue! If it werent for him I would have had to wait another day to go to another glasses store to get a pair of glasses or gone 2 weeks waiting for a pair of glasses to come in but I only have to wait for 15 MINUTES! AMAZING! One of the other managers Darlene was there too to help me pick a pair of glasses and go over my opinions. She was so friendly and upbeat and kind! She made everything feel fun and made me excited and be there and to come back! If I could give their place more stars I definitely would! They have a great staff and I cant wait to go back again, but hopefully it would be to soon!

I recommend not going to Stanton Optical in Peoria, or any location for that matter. Upon walking in the door, I recognized the store was dirty and smelly. The man that took care of me was dressed in dirty ripped wrinkled scrubs thrown on over a dirty shirt, jeans, and shoes. Quite noticeable was the stench of cigarettes and alcohol on him. To make matters worse, they dont even have an eye doctor, nor a optometrist on staff. The extremely shady eye exam was done over webcam. After paying $89 for an advertised free eye exam, a years worth of contacts was $620, and two pairs of glasses was $353. The glasses showed up to the store 2 weeks later, with the wrong prescription. A 1 week rush order was applied to get them corrected. After being promised 1 week, then promised another week, after 3 weeks only 1 pair had come in, and once again the prescription was wrong. I demanded my entire money back and now tell everyone not to do business with shady Stanton Optical.

I went to the store to see if they could repair my daughters glasses. It was about 30 minutes before the store closed and Kristy the manager understood my frustration and said she would have them fixed (mind you I did not purchase the glasses from this particular store). She had Kelsey the optician fix them for me and they were ready within 15 minutes. I appreciate their help and Im thankful that they were able to help me so quickly without an appointment.

Did a walk-in and found classes that fit my large face. They do a video eye exam with a tech. Wasnt to sure about that. I picked up my glasses to later find my ready glass were the same level with or without them on. They did except them back. Sales manager Mike Henline made sure everything was correct on my pick up. He really ensured my satisfaction of my glass before leaving. Mike checked both glasses, tightening all screws, adjusted arms on both glass, and cleaned them. First class customer service.

The person that helped me the most was Coy. He helped me pick out frames that fit my face and personality. He was very patient with me as I decided if I wanted transitions or not. Where in for a Eye exam in August was seen by a doctor over a TV Teleprompter who clearly got my eye exam wrong what is experiencing headaches took the glasses back in to have them adjusted the Sales man said that he could have them return back to me in a week and a half I asked him if he needed my name and information he told me no All I would need is your date of birth and we could go off your exam A week and a half wit by and heard nothing I made a phone call to Stanton optical in Peoria on GLEN Street and was told that they could not find my glasses ordered or anything pertaining to having them adjust Call back in a few days and was told that the salesman name Owen Was the salesman that I spoke with a week and a half ago and he is currently on lunch I then called back at 1 o’clock and hour later and was told he was still out on lunch and that they would leave a message for him to call me back needless to say I never got a call back I stopped in to an a half weeks later and found out that they just sent my glasses back seven days ago and that they are in the coding pay and I would have to wait another week total Time of waiting for one pair of glasses four weeks just to have them fix and return back I suggest that the optical should hire real employees real I doctors instead of usingDoctors over the Internet to get the prescription wrong and sales man who will actually do their job in return customer phone calls and provide good customer service very disappointed and will not be returning back to Stanton optical or any additional eyeglass need in the future if I ever get my glasses back

The techs were great. Only reason I went was because my husband said how great they were and how he got his glasses the same day. Also I keep calling to get the status of our glasses n they keep saying there is no status. If they were ordered there should be something. Not very happy considering I actually made 2 appointments. One for contacts which they didn’t do n one for glasses for my daughter. I would rather get my prescription n go somewhere else.

Went to Stanton optical to have my eyes checked 2 years ago after I started having problems seeing when reading. I had never worn glasses before. After having my eyes checked they told me I needed trifocals, some of the most expensive lenses they have. I had problems seeing with the glasses right from the start, but figured I just needed to get used to them, though I never did. Recently I went to an eye doctor to have my eyes checked. He checked my eyes and my glasses. He told me I never had needed glasses, just some +150 readers. They prescribed me glasses I didnt need and duped me out of a lot of money. Please be wary of this place! UPDATE: Shortly after posting this review I had a response from owner. They offered to help me with my situation. They offered to replace my glasses and told me to talk to the supervisor to set up an appointment. After calling the number they gave me and leaving messages, my calls were never returned and they would no longer respond to my emails.I never asked for them to help, but after offering help and then running away...I will say DEFINITELY DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS! I have never experienced such unprofessional conduct in my life!!

Most horrible experience from the very beginning! When setting up the appointment, we were NOT told that they were OUT OF NETWORK for VSP, just that they accepted it. We ended up not being able to get glasses and didn’t even get our free yearly exam for that reason, we had to pay for the exam....which by the way, is done by a (hopefully) dr in another country, using Skype. It all seemed like a very bad joke. Hands down, worst eye appointment experience ever 😔 if I could give 0 stars, I would.

Worst eye glasses place EVER.First, it seemed shady that the exams are done by random dial-up doctors on a tv screen. But times are changing, so maybe that is ok.I got past that and my glasses were ok.But my husband waited for his glasses from July to September 6th. First they made glasses with completely wrong prescription. They assured him they would put a rush on getting the correct ones in.... 1 week, 2 weeks, 3 weeks, 4 weeks... I wonder if there hadnt been a rush if they would have made it by Christmas. Then they sent them UPS, one pair in a case, one just loose sliding around in the envelope.The people are pleasant, but seem to have no clue what is going on and the whole process is questionable. Save yourself the aggravation and just go... well, anywhere else.

**Update** I went into the store myself this time and was helped by a very courteous employee named Darlene. I found out one of my pairs of glasses had indeed arrived and I walked out wearing them. So happy because Im now not in pain from something I have to wear. Also all problems were addressed and rectified beyond my expectations. So now, I give five stars for how this has been handled so professionally.As of now (two stars given), the service I have received is not what I expected. I have always gone through Stanton specifically for frames and lenses. Never had an issue, until this time. I have been waiting over a month with a pair of glasses that hurt me and are not the right prescription, to receive the two pairs I purchased to replace my bad ones. First, they put my prescription into someone elses file, so my order was never sent out. Then when I ask why I havent had a call they are ready, they find my lost prescription and tell me it will be at least another two weeks (10 business days) before they will be ready. I wait. The time comes for them to be ready again and I still havent received a call, so I call them again. Only to be told that they put the wrong lenses in my glasses and I now have to wait another two weeks. I am very upset and feel like this is not how customers should be treated when spending their own money. This is not covered by insurance I am paying it all out of pocket. And I felt as if the staff I have talked to would just rather I ignored the fact that they keep not doing their job properly. Very disappointed...

We got glasses from them and they charged us for a premium cleaning kit which we never received. They would not give me my money back. They said they would have to call corporate headquarters and call me back. I called them several times and they kept saying that they never heard back from corporate. Ive been there several times now and had super experiences with quality, professionalism, and fit. Ive gotten both single vision and no-line trifocals and the quality is great. They do some of the best exams Ive ever had and I have eye problems and have gone to a lot of specialists also. You wont beat Stanton Optical in price or quality!

We went in and ordered glasses on 9-16-2013 and after waiting 3 weeks they called to say one pair was broken at Corporate and they were waiting for the second pair to arrive. Please come in and pick out two more pair. SO, went in and picked out two more frames. They said one of the original two pairs were in transit and they would give us that pair as well and the two just picked out. Now that their in house lab was back up and running, they would have the second two pairs done the next day.The next day, one pair was ready and they ran out of the lenses and would have to send the second pair back to corporate.Its been 6 weeks to get two pair of glasses!!!!!!!!!!!!I called them on 10-28-2013 and the only thing they could say was Im sorry, I cant explain about Corporate. I know this is way too long, but I can give you a $115.00 refund whenever your second pair comes inSo, were going beyond 6 weeks to get the second pair and this is beyond crazy!!!! Im giving them one more week and then Im going to demand a full refund.How can you keep selling glasses when you cant produce them????Needless to say, Im very unhappy and will never go back to them. Be very wary if they ask you to submit forms to your insurance provider in order to get the second pair of glasses free. Free cost me $300. My wife and I both purchased eye glasses here, she was just wanting a cheap pair of readers. I needed new transition glasses and wanted new lenses for my old frames. So I chose get the second one free. The sales person told me that my out of pocket cost (after insurance) would be about $300 for both pair. In order to receive the second pair free I would have to file the claim with the insurance company. My insurance company treated the entire purchase as out of network and paid only $100 of the $700 bill - $300 more than anticipated. The sales person and store manager both insisted they would never tell me what the insurance company would pay. But isnt it odd that they could calculate to the penny what my wifes out of pocket expense would be so she could pay the copay that day. Peculiar??? In order to make it right, they offered a $150 in store credit. I tried to contact the corporate office and was on hold for over an hour! Do not go here!

Do not go to Stanton Optical they told me my daughter needed glasses so we ordered glasses for her. A few months later I had to take her to another Doctor because she was having issues. He did her eye exam w/out her glasses and told me she has 20/20 vision and does not need glasses. Now I contacted Stanton Optical and told them I wanted a refund and they denied the refund. They lied said they did what I asked them because I brought in an outside prescription which is a lie because the first exam was done by them. They are trying to put all the blame on us but instead the blame is on them. I want my $150 back as rightly it should be returned. Since they dont have a place for reviews on here I will just leave my 0 stars right here.

I should have known before scheduling an appointment their eye doctor performed the exam via webcam. When dealing with my eyes I prefer a present physician. The sales rep gave me a pair of cantacts to try in my new prescription... I didnt have them in my eyes 30 seconds and hes ranting about how dope my insurance is, and dont I just love the new contacts....i ordered them....he said they would be in by the following Wednesday....no one ever let me know they were in....when you call the recording says the order is processing, when really they were in the facility the whole time. I definitely wont be going back, and I will definitely detour family and friends from going... I look forward to the automated apology Im going to get for writing this review.

No actual eye doctor. Rush you through. Didnt even adjust glasses or asked question to see how they werewere when I picked up 2 pairs. Have to pay for exams up front and they are separate. Will never go back againagain nor will I recommend to anyone.

No stars would be better. Two times I made appointments for contact exams and neither time a doctor was there. Then when I told him to cancel my appointment he said I never had one. Interesting since the day before I received the reminder text. Never again will we go here!! Horrible service and clearly dishonest!

I had a typical case of my dog ate my glasses and I was in dire need of something, hopefully fast. Ive purchased about two dozen glasses in my time and this place was pretty good. Of course you always need an eye exam before you do anything with glasses, but that didnt stop them from getting me in that same day (which was also a Saturday, after lunch even). These people got me into an eye exam (with pupil dialation), gave me some space to let me pick out my glasses (buy one complete set, get another complete set free) without harassing me or hurrying my buying decision, and got at least one of my pairs of glasses back to me that same day! Now I did purchase wire frames and the glasses I got were just clear polycarb lenses, but still I was a bit impressed. I dont know what to say about the durability of the eyeglasses, from my experience most places cover or correct any imperfections within the first little while but their service was amazing. The optometrist was also very good. I am a very stubborn person when it comes to following even the simplest directions and he worked with me patiently to make sure my prescription was perfect (and it was).My one and only gripe is the length of time it will take me to get my transition pair of glasses. Its a two week wait and I hate waiting. But I have always been told that great things come to those who wait so I am hoping for the best.

I saw Stantons two pair for $20 commercial & decided to give them a try. This is a top notch optical center. Dr. Weaver gave me one of the best eye exams I have ever had. It was personalized to MY needs;not just routine. The staff was very helpful in helping me pick out my new glasses & even mailed them to me (I live an hour away). I have tried Walmart,Americas Best, Eye Mart Express, etc. & can truly say this is my new optical center. I did choose to upgrade my frames but there most certainly were $20 frames to choose from & no pressure to upgrade. I paid $79.00 for two pair with exam & tinting on the drivng glasses. I will be back. Thank you Stanton Optical!!

Quality of glasses are poor. Lens scratch easily, screws fell out. They put one screw in thats way too long and other too short. The nose pieces fell off. Poor . Expensuve too. Cost 800.00 for 2 pairs.

Terrible experience! It looks like they are going out of business. The facilities are run down with patches in the walls all over. Not the type of place I would not want to go again. Oh and because they took away their lab it took 2 weeks for my first pair and 3 weeks to get my second pair of glasses and they both are the wrong color frames! Both of them! Not happy!

I bought 2 pairs. Sales & exam girl were ok. Came to pick up my glasses and some blonde girl got them for me. When I walked in the door she made a comment to me that was odd and rude. Im not sure if she was trying to be funny in a sassy-like way. Totally turned me off from Stanton Optical for good.

The front desk staff was really pleasant but the Optometrist seemed a little stern & rushed with my son. He said my son was guessing on the letters that were being read for the exam come to find out my son has an astigmatism & near sighted so he wasnt guessing he really couldnt see well. When I attempted to step in as the parent to let my son know its ok to say he couldnt see the Dr. put his hand up signaling me to be quiet in which I didnt accept I made a gesture letting him know he had some nerve. After that he handled my son a little better. Also the buy one get one deal is a fluke I spent over $200 for my sons glasses. Just beware of the fine print. Most likely would not return to this company.

Went at opening time for a small repair. Only customer in the store. The manager told me they dont do repairs until 10:00. I was the only person there. She felt the need to again about the hours. Took her less than 5 minutes to lose a customer over a nose pad.

They charged me over $500 for new lenses to be put in my existing frames and a pair of sunglasses. I paid for the lenses Monday. I made it back in Wednesday to get them placed in my lenses. First thing I noticed, the left hand lens is poorly fitted. It warps my plastic frames. The frames themselves were coated with polish. These lenses are horrible. I cannot see through them. I cannot safely drive my vehicle. They give me a headache and hurt my eyes. I would never recommend this business to anyone. Go to coastal dot com. Costco. Walmart. Payless. Anywhere. Dont go here.

Awful. The doctor couldnt get my prescription right. I waited for over 20 minutes in the waiting area before he could see me, Then he spent no more than 10 minutes checking out my eyes. He couldnt get my prescription to be quite good enough (even though I came in with glasses that I could see just fine out of, they didnt take that prescription into consideration.) Went back for the follow up and I couldnt see well out of my right eye. He apparently couldnt make it better. I recently went elsewhere (Morton Walmart vision center) and had a phenomenal experience with the doctor. I will never go here again.

BEWARE! Their 2 for $99 no line bifocal special is not what they say. After you have an eye exam they then tell you there are only 12 pr of the ugliest frames to pick from lol I knew it was too good to be true. Not only that, the dr wasnt able to figure out what lenses I needed so I had to go give him my old eye glasses to copy.

I have been writing out on my new calendar for the year of 2014. I noticed that in April I paid over $600.00 for two pair of glasses from Stanton Optical. The first pair never did fit right and? The second pair you replaced for no charge. Still did not fit right, nor do i wear them at all. Rather than be embarrassed again about this situation. I took my script and bought a pair for $69.00 at Bard Optical in Peoria. They are the only pair i can see out of. I wish I had never never stopped there. Would never recommend them to anyone. As well as the false ads on tv for 2 pair @ 69.00 dollars? Are you kidding me?The people were nice. That is about it. The Dr. was really nice and so was the staff up until I went to pay the bill. When I arrived, I asked if they needed my insurance card - they replied no, you give that when you pay. After I had my eyes dilated, I asked about paying again and was told to wait until I knew if I needed glasses or not. After finishing the exam, I walked up to the counter to pay and Darlene told me they could not take my insurance because my insurance company was closed and they could not call to verify. Even though I asked them multiple time prior and arrived at 4:15pm when my insurance company did not close until 5pm. I told her that I asked numerous times and also why that was not the first thing they got from me after coming through the door. She replied with an attitude saying that I would have to pay for it and there was nothing she could do. I have been trying to call the company to file a report and they will not even answer on their end.

Buying a pair of glasses can be intimidating for an older person. So much has changed, and there are so many options and types now. Coy was very helpful in explaining everything to me. I didnt feel rushed, even though I was ynder a time constraint. I didnt spend time twiddling my thumbs like at other eyeglass places. Coy made me feel like my time was important too. Will recommend to friends and family.

Stanton Optical is the worse place to make an appointment. I made an appointment on Friday and they had to move my appointment six times because the Doctor had to leave early or was out. Some advice Stanton Optical if you cant keep up with your late hours then you should change your hours.
