I was at Bards in Peoria, Il. at the Metro Center a couple of weeks ago, and I was very impressed by their service, professionalism and courtesy, as well as the way they kept me informed and made sure I understood everything concerning my eye exam, prescription change and how to use the new bifocals that I am getting. Dr. Patel is friendly, very good with her explanations and made sure that I was in the loop with everything and was a participant in my own care plan. Molly was my optician . When I told her that I really wanted frames similar to those I have now, she borrowed mine for a short period so that she could go ahead and pick several pairs for me to check out as soon as my exam was finished. This made the process go much faster. She also was quite knowledgeable about the entire process, and made sure I was informed about my options, the cost of everything, and gave me several different plans for my new bifocal choice, and I was able to choose what was best for me. I would definitely recommend Bards Optical to my friends and family
Dr. Patel was amazing! Her office staff is equally impressive. Very impressed with this office and highly recommend, they did amazing with my sons.
Bard Optical metro center..very nice place. Would recommend. Wait time was short. All employees were pleasant and very knowledgeable especially Kaleigh and Matthew. Great experience.
Todays experience was the most comfortable eye exam Ive ever had! The overall atmosphere of the office was professional and relaxed. But, the most outstanding aspect was how extremely personable and considerate everyone was! Dr. Patel explained things thoroughly and concisely, was friendly, yet, respectful. Technician, Molly, also seemed knowledgeable and attentive. I didnt know a big chain could have such a consumer centered feel! Thank you!
The staff was very professional and very helpful...everything was spotless and the doctor was very patient...making sure that the exam was done correctly. My prescription is spot on! The price is fair and I would highly recommend giving Bard Optical a try.
Just went there with 2 of my kids to pick up my sons pair of glasses. As we entered all masked up, they told my 10 years old daughter that they had a nice bench outside for her to sit on, by herself!!!! They had no problem all 3 of us entering last week to pay money for both kids to get glasses!!! I understand covid but for the love of God, you cant endanger childrens lives!!!! Bunch of b.s. will never go to this place again!!!!!!
I called in to have some questions and Arnie was pick it up, good service, highly recommend people come here and try
Excellent Customer Service! Excellent Dr.!
Friendly and courteous staff; Dr. Schaidle was knowledgeable and efficient.
If you have any disabled children I highly recommend this place. No one was able to get anywhere near my autistic son to properly diagnose him and these wonderful people did. Thank God for these people my son 5 needed glasses very desperately. Thank you all for your patience and caring.
The service there is excellent, the doctors are very thorough.
My daughter had broken her glasses but the eye lenses were fine. I first went to the Bard in Campus Town where she got them. They no longer carried the frame she had and had no frames that fit her lenses. The woman was very kind and helpful giving me other options for finding the frames she had. I decided to go to the one on University. Successful. The woman there had frames for them and was very helpful as well.
I had a bad customer service experience at the office in the Metro Center. I went in for an examination. My prescription needed to be adjusted and I decided to use the same frames. I was told it wasnt a problem. I was quoted 1-2 weeks to get my glasses back. I called twice to get an update and was told my glasses werent ready yet. I got a call today 8/23/18 saying I need to sign a waiver before the lab could even get started. So I have been waiting for almost 3 weeks, I called twice for an update, and no one mentioned that I need to sign a waiver. This should have been done during original appointment. I really need my glasses. This makes me think that my frames have already been damaged. I am very upset, disappointed, and dissatisfied with the customer service. The office staff acts nonchalant, so clearly they dont care about my inconvenience or losing a customer. I have no issues with the doctor, but due to poor customer service and the staff neglecting to give me honest and accurate information I will not return next year.
They were very attentive and helpful. I had a good experience and had been without glasses for 2 weeks and my eyes hurt and were very tired. They were patient and understanding. I recommended Bard to my fellow coworkers at OSF who are on computers all day long. Great Job Bard, keep up the good work.
I called in to see about getting an emergency eye exam and quick fitting for contacts for work. Joe, the guy that answered the phone, was extremely polite and efficient, answered all of my questions, but informed me that he couldnt help me with an exam as his optometrist wasnt in today. Instead of having me call everywhere else, or wait until I could get in, he offered to set up an appointment today at another Bard office. I accepted and he got it handled for me right away. The whole experience was great.Super great guy, super helpful, this is an awesome team. Way to go!
I took my 83 year old grandma in for an exam. The overall feel from those that work there is very business like... not patient care friendly. While there, another person also experienced an issue with something. Decided it wasnt the place for her (us), and made an appointment at Illinois Eye off route 91.
I had to wait 4 hours past appointment time for Dr dameron, I had my 5 year old daughter with me. Didnt really seem to have any reason as to why. Overbooked? I dont know. Plenty of upsale attempts when I was finally seen. And now, the glasses broke and never really fit properly. Always liked bard in Canton I was pretty shocked.
I didnt see the part in the appointment email that I was supposed to show up 30 minutes earlier than the scheduled time (which I think is stupid, but thats the marketing/website teams fault, not the on-site staff) and they still made it so I would get in to see the doctor and were very understanding. The manager (Joe was I think his name?) even stayed after their normal hours to help us pick out frames and put in an order. It was an amazing experience!
Please do not go to Bard Optical..this is the 2nd time that they have given my son another customers perscription. They have no idea what they are doing. Terrible service.
The experience my family had was amazing receiving thier exam/glasses...... Awesome job you guys....
Got my glasses not even a week later from my appointment. Friendly atmosphere and great people
Would give zero stars if I could. This place is a joke.... my 5 year old had his very first eye exam done here about 2 weeks ago and they said he needed glasses..... they were very rude to me about what frames we could even choose from since we have a medical card... said I would pay the extra fee for the glasses and was told that’s not how this works!!! Ok so we get his glasses and now my poor child can’t see through them and is now in school. Scheduled another appointment to see what the problem is and now we have been sitting in the waiting area for over an hour. Very disappointed will be getting a copy of his prescription and going else where for all of his eye needs from now on well that is if we ever actually get seen today!!!!
I wish I could give them a zero. They claimed my contacts were discontinued. Then put me in a new pair of contacts. Within days I had a severe eye infection in both eyes. I had clearly reacted to the new contacts or solution in them. I had to go to an ophthalmologist and use eye drops for over two weeks. I had several dr appts. This is going to cost quite a bit and Bard does not care at all. Nothing offered to help offset all of this cost. Oh and on top of this I was able through the real eye dr to order my original brand. These people lied to me to get me to buy a more expensive brand and I suffered. They are awful. Beware!
I didnt see the part in the appointment email that I was supposed to show up 30 minutes earlier than the scheduled time. Instead of patiently explaining that and rescheduling my appt, they essentially read me the riot act. They explained all the reasons why. The kicker for me - they said the person had called and spoke to me personally. At that point I told them to take my name and my daughters name off their records because I dont like liars. Way to make a poor situation horrible. I would hace rescheduled but not after they blatantly lied.
If you go to this particular Bard Optical, be sure to see Dr. Scheidly. He is terrific. Years back, I had a corneal ulcer, which is VERY dangerous. I believe it can make you blind. At the least it is extremely painful. I went to one optometry outfit, and the Dr. there didnt see it. So I happened to go to Bard Optical on N. University where Dr. Scheidly saw it immediately, and called it a classic case of a corneal ulcer. So it was not hard to see at all. He gave me some antibiotic eye drops, and within several days the ulcer was completely healed. I have made this particular Bard Optical my office of choice, and have had excellent experiences every single time I have gone there. I highly recommend Dr. Scheidley! The office staff is great as well!
Wonderful service and a great team of nice, helpful people.
Very nice staff.
Great place
